This is a new story, my second. I don't make my chapters that long, sorry!!

This is about the trio and everybody in seventh year with LOTS of romance, but a LOT more too it to....
PART ONE
Chapter One:
The Heart's Mended, I Think

"She's way, way, way to young Ron," Harry insisted, "She's fifth year for God's sake! And then you go off and practically-"
"All right Hermione, don't rub it in," Ron murmured slumping down into the bets armchair there was.
"I'm not being Hermione. I'm telling you that Rayne is just....younger and not you...." Harry trailed off, he didn't really know what to say.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
That night Ron was in bed, moving around restlessly as everyone was asleep. Neville's snores echoed throughout the dorm. He couldn't get his mind of poor little heartbroken Rayne. Her big blue eyes were probably all tear filled and her skinny legs were probably shaky and her thick, blonde, braided hair was probably ruffled and messed up.
Ron sighed.
That stupid, stupid Hufflepuff. So un-romantic. And just not...me, he thought angrily, I shouldn't have stopped her from drowning. She coulda died. Well, not died.
Ron sighed.
It was hopeless.
The moon was shining birghtly against the window, tinting it silver.
I think I'm such an IDIOT! What was I thinking. I am almost as bad with romance as Hermione. And all the Hufflepuffs. I feel like a *** for ever getting a girlfriend cos of Harry. I had to go and tell her she looked messed up. Just **** off Rayne. Go....
With a tired sigh Ron drifted off into a heavy sleep, snoring just as loud as Neville.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That morning Harry and Ron were sitting down at the table, Harry was next to Ron and his girlfriend Izobel.
"I'm gunna go....talk to Rayne," Ron sighed groggily.
"That sounds good," Izobel said beckoning Ron away. She wasn't fond of him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once Ron was gone Harry looked into Izobel's huge, house elf sized, green eyes. They were so beautiful. He looked at her thick dirty blonde hair, it was in a fancy position on the top of her head.
"You know Izobel, you look...great," Harry said biting his lip.
Izobel didn't blush, she pursed her lips and then straightened her ruffled skirt.
"Great?" she raged, "I should look WONDERFUL!"
Then Izobel smiled, the laughed and winked at Harry.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Hey Potterface!" Ron called, walking back over to the table. Potterface was his new nickname and Weaselbucket was Ron's.
"Yeah Weaselbucket?" Harry asked swallowing his mini muffin whole.
"Rayne's heart's mended, I think."
Ron sat back down next to Harry as Izobel twirled her sandy hair and glared at him evilly.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That sunny Sunday afternoon, Ron and Harry were watching the Hufflepuff's practice.
"I'd like to watch Rayne," Ron sighed romantically, watching Rayne practice. She was an awfully good seeker.

Chapter 2:
Thinking of You Izobel, Rayne, and Hermione

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Harry and Ron wandered over to the Quidditch pitch.
"She can really fly," Ron said, his eyes on Rayne.
"Oh knock it off you kiss up," Harry snarled and punched Ron on the arm.
"Let's get closer," Ron insisted.
Harry rolled his eyes and followed Ron onto the Quidditch pitch.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Hey Harry!" called a girl's matured voice. It was Hermione. And Lukas, who was in....Ravenclaw.
"ARGH!" Ron roared, "Not Lukas!"
Hermione glowered at Ron and Harry.
"It's all right Lukey," Hermione cooed, "They just don't like that your...erm..smart."
"And handsome,'' Lukas added admiring Hermione's new straight hair.
"More like Pukey," Ron said sitting as far away from Lukas and Hermione as he could.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As the practice ended Lukas and Hermione left. Rayne had gone into the changing room with the rest of the team and Ron and Harry were walking around the lake.
"I just absolutely despise that Lukas. You know, he's in sixth year and acts like he's about twenty years old," Ron grumbled, "He's so mushy and lovey dovey. Yuck. If we is dieing for a girlfriend he should go for someone unlike Hermione and let her be."
Harry shrugged as he sat at the sandy banks of the lake.
"Well, I mean she likes him, obviously. And he is kinda her type."
“Ew, that makes me puke,” Ron gaged.
“Oh get over it Weaselbucket, you were just as bad as Hermione when you were watching Rayne practice,” Harry admitted.
Ron sneered at then took off his robe and sweater. It was an unbearably hot Sunday.
“Oh Lord Ron, you have to do this stripping in front of firsties?” Harry asked shielding his eyes.
“Oh yeah, everyone go run for your humanity, cos Ron’s so freaking sick if he takes off his robe and sweater. Puh-lease Harry, it’s like one hundred degrees here.”
Harry sniffed. “Pathetic, you won’t even take your dress shirt off. Well, I’m sure you don’t wanna freak a bunch of firsties out…”
“Ooh, Potterhead!” Ron shouted pushing Harry into the lake.
It was very cold and littered, indeed. Once Harry made his way through the mall of bertie Bott’s boxes he climbed onto the shore, shivering.
“Oh Potterhead,” Ron murmured, “Its one hundred degrees and your shivering from nice, cold water?”
Harry shook his hair out, making sure it hit Ron.
“Weaselbucket, would you even try?” Harry inquired, wringing out his robe, sweater, dress shirt, and socks. He was just in his pants.
“Yes, bet you I would,” Ron said back satisfactorily. Ron took off his dress shirt and pants, to only his boxers. Harry once again shielded his eyes.
Then Ron jumped in.
When he floated back up he smiled.
“Too bad all your clothes…well…got soaking wet!” Ron cackled in a joking manner.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Hey Harry, want to share spaghetti?” Izobel asked romantically at dinner.
Harry slumped even farther down in his seat.
“No.”
Izobel looked really offended.
“Harry!” she screamed, “You are an inconsiderate loser! You dirt bag, scum bag, ******! Leave me alone!”
The whole Great Hall froze as Izobel ran off, probably into the bathroom.
“Hook her up with Moaning Mrytle and she’s off your back,” Ron muttered.
“Oh, I could just snap her neck!” Harry muttered, his face reddening. Ron scooted closer to Hermione who squished Lukas to fell onto Pansy who screamed and then Hermione ran away thinking Lukas was cheating on her.
“Oh boy, Hermione should join the ‘We Take Everything So Offense So We All Run Away And Cry Acting As If Our Boyfriend Did Something Bad like Homicide’ club,” Ron said shaking his head sadly.
“Well it’s your own fault Weasley,” Lukas snarled.
Ron snorted, “And you and your oversized *** didn’t rub into Pansy like there was something going on?”
Lukas’s face was puce, and everything in the Great Hall was still.
“You little----” Lukas roared, “You, I oughta----”
Lukas jumped from his seat and leaped toward Ron. Harry jumped in front of him. Tensions grew. Lukas was on the floor, face first, nose bleeding and his face badly wounded. His wrist seemed broken, he had landed on it wrong.
“SILENCE!” Professor Dory yelled. He was the new and mean headmaster.
“What is the meaning of this young men?” he asked striding over to the incident, “I expect better of young men like yourselves! Making young women run and cry and wrestling like this is some kind of arena? NO! You all deserve what you are about to get!”
Ron said shakily, “Expel?”
Professor Dory’s lip curled as he looked at Ron. It was hard to believe that he was once a young, innocent Hufflepuff who was (and still is) Dyslexic.
“No! A full weeks worth of detention!”
Ron and Harry tried not to snort with laughter. Their faces were red from holding their breath. (From Dory’s garlic breath and laughter). He was sure mean but BAD at punishment.
“Yes professor!” they all said in unison. Harry and Ron had a slight trouble with speaking then though.
“Now, I must find those girls….”

When the fiasco was over Harry and Ron were whispering to each other.
“He’s gonna have to venture into the ladies lavatory,” Harry giggled, but boy like.
“I know, he’s a ------”
“Don’t finish.”
“Got it.”
“If he’s so concerned about girls why doesn’t he go and marry one. Last time I checked he was single.”
“Dude, him and Professor Leslie would make a happy couple.”
“In your dreams. She’s head of Ravenclaw and super smart. The best potions teacher ever. She is nice and can’t marry someone who has a head full of dust.”
At that Harry and Ron fell off their seats in laughter.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That night, Harry was bored while he was in bed. So, since Hogwarts had a whole new set of teachers he created a list to keep track of them all.

Professor Dory – the Headmaster, naturally messed up man
Professor Leslie – Best potions teacher ever, Head of Ravenclaw woman
Professor Helium – The Muggle studies teacher, totally wrinkly Head of Hufflepuff man
Professor O’Neill – the HOT charms teacher Head of Gryffindor—ooh la la!! woman
Professor Einstein – the very smart History of Magic teacher, doesn’t mind if you don’t pay attention, very nice, head of Slytherin (somehow) man
Professor McKenny – the professor of Herbology, very strict and likes to give detention man
Professor Iiller --- the professor for Arithmancy, very laid back and smart woman
Professor Talbain --- the DADA teacher, can be strict, neutral, pretty good looking, Hogwarts graduate man
Professor Hudgen – the professor of Flying, teaches all those firsties, don’t know much about her
woman
Professor Monstrote -- the Care of Magical Creatures professor. Nice, helps people out, young and very smart.
Hufflepuff graduate woman

That’s all Harry could think of. He was very tired and his grammar was bad right now too. But for some reason he couldn’t go to sleep. But when he finally did…..he had a very queer dream.

He was flying on a floating stick. It was being levitated to Izobel. He was up in the clouds, they melted into water right when he touched them.
WEEEE, AHHHH! He was screaming. Izobel dropped him. He was falling a high fall. His eyes were watery.
“Don’t worry Izobel, I’m thinking of you!”
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ron was swimming in the ice cold lake when Professor Dory approached him with a sobbing Rayne.
“You imbecile!” Dory cried. He sunk down into the lake, bubble emerging from his mouth. He was trying to say, “I didn’t do anything!”
The grindylows scratched him and pushed him farther down, his image was blurring….it was all ending…..too soon……
“Rayne, I’m thinking of you!”
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lukas was in bed when a huge, thick haired figure came. It was the Grim Hermione.
“Don’t kill me!” she pleaded, “I love Hermione!”
“I am Hermione,” it hissed, “Kill the spare….”
Lukas hid under his covers, his teddy bear, Teddy close to his side.
“Please Hermione no!”
“It has all come to an end!” it croaked raising a dagger. It cut through the sheets and then…
“Stop! I’m thinking of you Hermione!”
Then agony went through his chest.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Ahh!” they all screamed. The bad dreams woke them up. Even Lukas, in Ravenclaw woke up. And the funny thing was, it was all at the same time.

Chapter three his up!!

Chapter three:
The Dark Curse

--------------------------------------------------------------------
Monday morning, Harry and Ron were bloodshot and tired. They were up since one from the dreams. From the Gryffindor table they could see Lukas.
“I felt a connection with you and Lukas in the dream last night,” Ron said woozily.
“I know. Maybe, just maybe it is a curse.”
Then Hermione popped in.
“Hello boys. I heard what happened last night. Did a tad of research,” she said energetically.
A few books and lots of parchment with Hermione’s writing on it poured out of her book bag.
“Oh jeez Hermione, what did you learn?” Harry asked too tired to eat.
“Well, this is what a book said:
“Dreams with connections between three or more wizards/witches is usually a curse. This curse is known as The Dark Curse. It has known to have killed people. The dreams come every night for about three or so weeks. The side effects are:
Depression, grogginess, craziness, acting like a drunkard, mental problems, sickness, and many others. Only certain dark wizards or their followers can actually put this curse upon other fellow wizards/witches.” Hermione read aloud.
“That is just…..hhh…scary,” Ron said with no emotion. He was too tired to emotion.
“But, you should tell the headmaster. Even though Voldemort died of brain cancer doesn’t mean that one of the Death Eater’s couldn’t have done it. Really, think about it. I’ve already informed Lukas.”
Harry and Ron were breathing loudly and deeply.
“We’re going to tell the headmaster today. During History of Magic, it’s our first lesson.”
Hermione nodded earnestly.
“You must,” she said, her eyes wide, “It is VERY serious. I’ll tell Lukas to come meet you outside the Great Hall after breakfast.”
“Argh, he has to come too?” Ron whined, “Anyway, I thought you were mad at him…”
“He is in great danger too! It’s not all about you two!”
Hermione ignored the second part of Ron’s comment.
“Well, sorry. I thought you guys broke up or something stupid like that.”
“It was a mere misunderstanding. We have things sorted out. Mind your own business. Now let me fetch Lukas rather than tell him.”
“Doesn’t he understand?” Ron asked.
Hermione shot him a fiery look as she ambled away, her new hips going side to side.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When Lukas, Hermione, and Hermione’s new body came over breakfast was over.
“Well, you three should go alert the headmaster,” Hermione order seriously, “It’s very life threatening and I’d hate to see one of you killed. Go along now! Pip, pip, cheerio!”
Hermione walked away, eager for her History of Magic lesson. (They got more gory by the lesson.)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When Ron, Harry, and Lukas reached the elevator, Professor Dory was just getting there himself. He was an old man.
“Yes you three delinquents?” he asked politely.
“Oh, headmaster. This is very urgent. Important actually,” Lukas informed him, ignoring the delinquent comment.
“Yes, well, take it into my office, shall we? Sugar plum fairies.” After Dory had said the password he coughed, hoping to cover up his love for Muggle ballets.
“Ah, here we are boys, my office. Take a seat now.”
Ron, Harry, and Lukas sat down on a new couch that was in his office.
“I’ll explain,” Harry said. He took a deep breath then began.
“Well, we all had about the same dream last night. We all felt a connection. It was quite scary. We are all tired today because we got no sleep last night. Hermione Granger our close friend-”
“My girlfriend,” Lukas interrupted.
“Well, yes. That too. But, she heard and got very…well, interested as always. She did research or something in the library. She took notes and took three books, or so. She read us one part, it must have really popped out at her. It explained about how there’s this curse, that Dark Curse….”
Harry went on and on, Dory listening reverently.
At the end Dory laughed, “I could never believe you fools! Get back to class!”
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
From that, Lukas, Ron, and Harry were astonished.
*** *** ***
That night, Harry and Ron snuck to the Hospital Wing. The nurse, who was very nice and let only them call her, her first name Janise was their friend.
“Hello Ron! Hello Harry!” she said brightly as she made some hospital beds, “What’s the matter?”

Harry and Ron explained everything. Surprisingly, she believed them.
“This Dark Curse has been set on me. It’s the reason I’m single. That is a little too complicated for your minds and not to mention inappropriate.”
Harry and Ron looked at her…bug eyed.
“When the curse was set upon me, my friend Ann, my brother Iggy, and my brother’s best friend Rig. We all had a dream of our parents loving one another and cheating on one another. Then they abandoned us. It was quite frightening.”
Harry and Ron, at that point, sat down on a hospital bed next to Janise.
“So, what happened then?” Harry asked.
Janise sighed. Her eyes were filled with tears.
“Well, Rig and Iggy died.”
“So is that why you weren’t married?” Ron said.
Janise nodded. From that, Harry and Ron gathered up that she was about to marry Rig.
“But Ann and I didn’t die. It was close for Ann. I was about the only one safe. And those thoughts stirred in my mind all day for seven weeks. We promised each other to keep everything a secret. But Iggy was the worried sort and couldn’t stand to hold this against a professor here. And it was right for you boys to tell me. The pain inside me was unimaginable, keeping it from my other friends and family….” Janise began to quietly cry. Harry and Ron supported her.
“I c-can’t s-say anym-more,” Janise sighed holding back a storm of tears.
“Go ahead and cry Janise, it’s all right. You should really erm….” Ron was lost for words.
“You should let out your emotions. We know exactly how you feel,” Harry finished, eyeing from Ron the corner of his eye.
“Sorry!” Ron mouthed to Harry.

*** *** ***
A half an hour later Harry and Ron remembered their detentions, and told Janise.
“You boys are lucky,” she said wiping her tear stained face, “To have gotten punished by Professor Dory. A forgetful man, that one is. He’ll never remember, you two got off very lucky.”
“Well, we also got a detention with Lukas Graves.”
“Ah, Mr. Graves,” Janise said grinning, “Not fond of him are you? Me neither. By the chance that he got a detention you’ll be having one. He’ll be his-”
“Perfect self and tell Dory that we need one?” Ron finished.
“Couldn’t have said it better myself,” Janise agreed.
“No, you boys go back to your dorms; it’ll be bed time for you! It’s a Tuesday tomorrow!”
Harry and Ron nodded, they always obeyed Janise.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On Tuesday morning Harry, Ron, and Lukas were tired and bloodshot once more. The dreams came back, the same one over and over.
“I blame Janise. She never told us how to stop them,” Ron grumbled, too tired to eat.
Harry sipped his pumpkin juice and said, “Maybe there isn’t a way. I wouldn’t expect Janise to know. She’s very good at telling stories and being very descriptive and all but she’s doornail dumb.”
“Well, I s’pose that’s the case. Maybe this curse, if it is one, must just wear off,” Ron agreed dazedly.
**** *** ****
Their first lesson that day was Charms, and Harry was excited. He would take any chance to lay eyes on and listen to Professor O’Neill.
“Sit down please,” Professor O’Neill directed.
Harry and Ron sat down next to each other with Hermione on Ron’s other side.
“****, we have Charms with Ravenclaw!” Ron moaned, “So luck has it that ‘Lukey’ has to sit next to Hermione.”
Sure enough, Lukas and Hermione would be giggling throughout the lesson.
“Today,” Professor O’Neill said in her calm, sweet voice, “We will be making up our own charm!”
A few people booed. Harry sat there, day dreaming.

Chapter Four:
Answers Have Been Unveiled

Harry worked and worked, but just couldn’t get any spell to work right.
“Every darn time I try to get a charm to work it blows up something,” Harry groaned tapping his wand on the desk.
Ron looked at him miserably. His hair was all burnt, that was on the list of things Harry had set on fire.
“Mr. Potter,” Professor O’Neill sighed sweetly, “Are you having trouble.”
Harry’s face screwed up, Professor O’Neill, the hot Charms teacher and head of House had talked to him.
“Uh…uh. No.”
“Well, why is Mr. Weasley’s hair, erm, black?” she asked kindly.
“That, well, an accident,” he said, telling a half truth. It was an accident. But he really did need help.
“’Course he needs help,” Ron said wretchedly, “He put my hair on fire for God’s sake. You’d think by now that he needs help.”
Professor O’Neill glared at Ron.
“Yes Mr. Weasley, now go along to the hospital wing to get all fixed up.”
Harry’s heart leaped.
“Wait, I need to speak to Ron…alone. Before he leaves.”
O’Neill nodded and beckoned them to a far off, dusty corner.
“Ron, your going to have to ask more from her. Do it casually. Somehow ‘accidentally’ bring it up. Somehow sneak more out of her.”
“Like we’d do to Hagrid?” Ron asked brightly, or brighter than before.
A pang of sadness hit Harry. Sure, Hogwarts had gotten new staff but Hagrid died over the summer, or was killed rather.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ron was just entering the Hospital Wing; it was empty except for Janise. Then he heard Rayne coming from behind. She was limping.
Ron couldn’t look at her, all from the dream.
“Ron!” she gasped in surprise.
“Oh. Hi,” he murmured walking into the Hospital Wing.
“Well I was just looking for you; you know I have this part of the day off.”
“Well, I s’pose that’s why your limping,” he muttered.
Then all the sudden, Rayne ran off. She wasn’t crying or upset. She ran away as if she forgot something.
“Hey Janise!” Ron called.
Janise came rushing over, gasping at Ron’s blackened hair. Then Ron realized that Rayne hadn’t even noticed.
What’s up with Rayne? he thought.
“Ron! What’s happened to your hair?” she asked.
“Harry’s accidentally set it on fire in Charms,” he responded.
Janise giggled, sort of and then pushed him onto a hospital bed.
“So, what are you going to do?” he asked.
“For now, use this potion. It brings back color, temporarily. Then when it leaves, your hair should slowly turn red again!” Janise told him undauntedly.
Janise rushed over to a cart of potions and antidotes and picked up a puke colored bottle.
“This is just like gel; I’ll just need to rub it into your hair. You don’t want to move around or go outside though, it’ll turn your hair pink. It is bad enough it’ll be green for the time being. So you’d better stay here.”
“WHAT?” Ron raged. It was the first time he’d ever yelled or got mad at Janise.
“I’m sorry sweetie, buts that’s the way it’s got to be.”
Ron frowned and slumped into his hospital bed.
*** *** ***
After Janise had done Ron’s hair Ron fell asleep and Janise went on a lunch break. But when she came back from lunch break Ron was still asleep and she had a visitor. Rayne and her friend
Olyessa.
“I just came here to bring Rayne here. She came because she er…”
“I broke my foot,” Rayne said sincerely, “And I came cos Ron’s asleep.”
Janise was confused about Ron being asleep, but she brought Rayne over to a plastic chair and Olyessa ran away.
“How exactly did you do that?” Janise questioned.
“I was up late last night…doing something,” Rayne mumbled.
“What exactly?” Janise inquired again, trying to find a good medicine for her.
“Well, I was working on a curse. On…” Rayne’s voice trailed off. Janise was silent.
“Someone?” Janise finally added.
Rayne began to cry. Janise hushed her.
“Don’t wake Ron.”
“B-but I m-must! I’ve d-done something h-horrible and I c-can’t stop…I-I was f-forced to!” she trembled, tears streaming down her cheeks, “I d-don’t know who b-but it’s been h-haunting m-me. In my d-dreams and w-while I’m r-reading. It’s t-terrible. I m-must tell R-Ron, H-Harry, and t-the other b-boy!”
Janise patted her on her back. Not knowing what she was really talking about.
“I was d-doing the…the D-Dark Curse!”
Janise jumped and then took her hand of Rayne. Then she ran out of the Hospital Wing. And Rayne sat there bawling.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Harry was walking inside. It had begun to rain and Care of Magical Creatures was canceled. It was his last class for the day, so he was free until dinner.
*** ****
In the common room he was waiting for Ron. Ignoring the pile of homework next to him, he fell asleep.

But when he woke he realized the dreams never came. Was the caster done? Had it worn off? He was gleeful but needed to know why exactly it had gone away so fast.
Harry walked out of the common room and walked down the halls. He made his way to the hospital wing. Then when he entered the Hospital Wing and saw Ron asleep and Rayne crying.
“Harry!” Rayne bawled, “I did the Dark Curse!”
Harry froze. His body wouldn’t move. It was a complete state of shock.
Then Ron woke up. He must have heard what Rayne said because he went pale as a ghost.
“I’m sorry!” Rayne cried, “I’m sorry! I was under the Imperius curse, I’m sure. I don’t know who the caster was but…oh!” Ron got out of his bed, (his hair was orange) and walked over to Rayne.
“Why didn’t you say anything?” Ron asked, still pale from shock. Harry on the other hand was still frozen and wouldn’t move, but Ron was sure that Harry was breathing.
*** *** ***
A few minutes later, it was silent but Janise came rushing in. She had obviously decided to keep it quiet because no one was with her.
“D-don’t tell anyone,” Rayne warned, with a slight shake in her voice. Janise, Ron, and Harry nodded. It was definitely the start of a different kind of year.

Note: This is shorter than the other chapters but the end of Part one. If your wondering I just added the parts part because I thought it wouldnt make too much sense without them.

Part Two
Chapter Five:
A Weird Round Thing

It was December and things had quieted down a bit. Ron and Rayne broke up, Ron’s hair was red again, Lukas moved to Iceland, and Hermione was suffering depression. (Guess why? Hmm…)
But one thing was sure, there was no rumour about the Dark Curse. Janise had done the Unbreakable Vow, sort of to make sure they told no one. And it worked.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Winter break had only just begun and things were getting better between Ron and Rayne. They talked and hung out; it seemed to be the new trio considering Hermione wouldn’t speak to them.
Well, it was late night and Rayne, Ron, and Harry were in the Room of Requirement. It was a comfy lounge and bar for them.
“Hermione has been queer lately,” Ron said, not grasping exactly why.
“Well, Lukas’ mother died in an incident with a Death Eater and his father and him moved to Iceland where they were originally from,” Rayne explained slowly.
“Yeah so Hermione’s gone all freako and won’t talk to anybody but the house elves in the kitchen,” Harry laughed taking a sip of rum.
“Pfft, when the day comes, she’ll move in that kitchen with those things!” Rayne exclaimed with wide eyes, “She’s so thoughtful though, always helping them out…”
“I’d call it insane!” Ron choked. He was gagging on a roll he had just summoned.
The new trio laughed and smiled at one another, things were beginning to lighten up.
“But I think that she’s gone mental,” Ron said sincerely with a mouthful of bread.
Harry shrugged, gulping down the last of his butterbeer.
“Not mental, not exactly. Just she’s super sensitive to changes, I think. Accio cupcake!” Rayne told them seriously, summoning a frosted cupcake.
“You would know how….Accio roll!” Ron asked.
“My mum’s a wizard psychiatrist, I’ve learned a lot from her,” she sighed.
“Neat. I wish my life was cool,” Harry sighed dramatically.
Ron scooted closer to him and punched him.
“More excitin’ then mine!” Ron cried stuffing his face.
“So? Your mum had a chance to like make you have siblings!”
“Shut up Weaselbucket, shut up Potterface!” Rayne laughed.
“Ooh, you Frickface!” Ron sighed, shaking his head.
So now they all had a nickname.
“Well, yesterday I was throwing snowballs at Hermione and she grumbled at me and then sneered and ran away. That made me incredibly sad,” Ron said.
“Figures, she’s making people sad left and right,” Rayne muttered.
Ron shrugged, he supposed Rayne was right. She never really did too much to make anyone happy, or so that’s how it seemed.
“You know,” Harry said thoughtfully, “I’m wondering if she needs a friend. A friend that’s a boy. You know, I s’pose a boyfriend would suit her right for all-” Harry was cut off by Ron.
“We really should find her one, someone just like Lukas but maybe in seventh year!”
“I think they terminated all the seventh year prats from Hogwarts,” Harry suggested, “But if this person was in sixth year that boy would do her up some good. It’s only a years difference and that’s not bad compared to other relationships.”
Rayne cleared her throat and raised her eyebrows at Ron.
“Yes, well, Rayne, I didn’t say it was a bad thing. And we’re just friends.”
Or were they?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The next day was an incredibly snowy one. It was cold, below freezing at a winter wonderland. At breakfast that morning, Harry was approached by a peculiar person.
“Harry, I was just wondering, are you and Izobel still together?”
Harry spun around and looked at the suspect. It was…Hermione.
“Oh, Hermione,” he murmured, “Well, yes. I mean, sort of, I guess…well we haven’t erm…talked in quite awhile and I just, well, I just don’t really care for her anymore.”
Harry was lost at words.
“Do you want to…” Hermione paused a minute and looked away.
“Go out?” Then she ran away, just like that.
Ron, who was on the other side of the table turned pale and fell onto a first year sitting next to him. She pushed him away and went after Hermione.
“Huh, huh…what was that?” Ron asked.
“Let’s go Ron.”
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When Ron and Harry reached the common room they saw Hermione in tears and the first year sitting next to her.
“Hermione, don’t get all worked up. He didn’t even say anything to you.”
“I just felt stupid!” she cried, “Leave me ALONE! Can you get me a tissue Nila?”
The little first year scampered off.
“Hermione, calm down. You can’t go crying your life away because you felt stupid. Come on!” Harry advised her.
“B-but I c-can’t!” Hermione screamed, “IT’S NOTHING YOU CAN SOLVE, GO AWAY!”
Harry and Ron wouldn’t budge. When Nila came back with the tissue she whispered something in Hermione’s ear and then Hermione nodded.
“Here,” Hermione said calmly, handing Harry a round, silver…something, “Take it.”
Then Hermione and Nila left the common room.
“What is it?” Ron asked, burrowing his brows.
“It’s cool. Look inside.”
Inside the round object was colors swirling. It wasn’t silver any longer, it was a mix of metallic colors, swirling and dancing around.
“Harry, I know what that is. It’s a thing that my dad told me about. There’s only two in the whole Wizarding World,” Ron gasped. He gaped at it.
“Well…”
“Harry, it’s a Ruelral. It’s French and they are really dangerous. DON’T PRESS THAT BUTTON!” Ron yelled.
It was too late.

Chapter Six:
A New Relationship and Ron’s Happiness

Harry and Ron landed flat on their bums on a sandy floor of a beach. There were creatures scrambling about with wizards by their sides.
“House elves!” Harry gasped.
“Just caught on have you?” Ron asked standing up. He looked around, and then Harry did too.
There were huge beach houses near the shore. Tiny little house elves scurrying in and out of them.
“’Ello!” a house elf squeaked.
Harry jumped and bumped Ron. Ron hit him back.
“Hey, little house elf where are we?” Ron asked rudely.
The house elf brushed her curly tuft of hair out of her eyes and then replied, “A wizard island off the coast of France. It doesn’t have a name.”
Unlike most house elves, this one had quite nice grammar.
“So, what do you do here?” Harry inquired, sniffing the salty air.
“Wizards take vacations and rent mansions. We serve them faithfully. Most all freed house elves come here.”
Harry had noticed she looked freed. She was very clean and smelled like lilacs. She was happy, dressed in a silk skirt and tank, and had her hair curled with tropical flowers as earrings.
“Can we have a mansion?” Ron asked hazily. He seemed stunned.
“’Course!” she squeaked, “And you have a certain house elf you’d like?”
Ron shrugged but Harry said, “A happy one who won’t cry all the time because they were freed.”
She smiled sweetly, her blue eyes glimmering.
“All house elves, or the ones who have been here long enough, are happy. They’ve adapted to this freedom. But there are the chosen few that like being free, like me. The sadder ones are the newer workers. And may I introduce myself?”
Harry nodded with a queer look to Ron.
“I’m Islay! And you…?”
“Ron and this is Harry.”
Islay bowed nicely and then beckoned them to a huge granite mansion.
“Here you are. But be warned you will have a variety of house elves, but I’ll make sure to help you out.”
Islay waved and walked towards another house elf, who looked just as nice, but a male.
“What now?” Harry questioned staying on the porch.
“We stay of course! And here’s the Ruelral.”
Harry sighed.
“We can’t stay! We have to go, come on Ron!”
“It’s winter there, summer here. We gotta stay,” Ron said groggily, leaning back in an outdoor armchair.
“No!” Harry cried.
“One day!” Ron begged lazily, “It’s the life here dude, we have to stay. It’s worthless back at Hogwarts.”
“Yeah, well, Hermione’ll go tell us off that we went. She’ll know we went if she knows what it does!”
“How do you know that she knows?” Ron asked, calling for a house elf.
“Hermione knows everything. And if I’m not mistaken she was gone for a period of time in November. I’m sure she went there,” Harry insisted.
“If Hermione was here it was to free them. But heck, they are already freed and get paid, I’m sure. So it’ll be good, I swear.”
“If they are paid I don’t have any money. I bet you the owner of this place doesn’t pay ‘em left and right. He’d be broke by now!” Harry said.
“Well, I’m gonna go right up to that dope and insist that he pays the house elves,” Ron said acting like a dope himself.
Harry glared at Ron.
“Fine, but we have to be quick about it, we have to get back to Hogwarts, I mean, Hermione could have told us off right now!”
“For all she knows we could be in bed, and she wouldn’t want to come into our dorm…” Ron pondered.
“I know. But we kinda need to find out where this ‘dope’ is,” Harry told Ron.
“Yeah, that, erm…I s’pose we should ask a house elf. They’re pretty smart.”
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Harry and Ron walked off the porch and tried to look for Islay, but couldn’t find her.
“Let’s give up and ask another elf!” Harry said, frustrated. His face was red and he was tired and hungry.
“Yeah, I’m kind of sick of this,” Ron mumbled.
“Well it was your idea!” Harry exclaimed, lividly, “We could have told Islay we don’t need a house, or told her we wanted to leave!”
“Well I don’t want to leave. You do!” Ron shouted, walking along the sandy beach.
“I will leave and I’ll be happy about it!” He pulled the Ruelral out of his pocket and pressed the button and soon dropped it.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Harry landed in the common room, with no Ruelral in his hands. At least Ron would be able to get back.
“Harry!” someone gasped. It was Ginny.
Ginny had changed so much. He hadn’t seen her at the Burrow, she was in her room all the time. In fact, he was only there three days. That was because he was off killing Voldemort all summer. But she always seemed to be in her room that summer. And Harry hadn’t seen her all year. She looked so pretty now. She had long hair, in two low plait pigtails. They looked to cute on her. Her eyes didn’t seem brown, they seemed hazel, maybe from the glare. Her body was so gangly. She was extremely tall and very petite and slim. Her freckles stood out more than ever.
But to Harry’s sudden dismay, there was a boy next to her.
It was Bobby Lanson.
Bobby was a boy in sixth year. He was mean and cruel but in Gryffindor. Bobby was as dumb as a doormat and couldn’t recite any spells. To Ron and Harry he was completely worthless and a complete waste of skin. They had met him on the Hogwarts Express.
But Bobby was sort of good looking. He was very tall and slim, sort of like Ginny’s new figure. He had long blonde hair and some very light freckles on his pointy nose and under his huge neon blue eyes.
“Ginny,” Harry muttered breathlessly.
In Ginny’s eyes, Harry looked better than ever. He seemed skinnier and taller. Plus, there was always the fact that he was the hero that saved the wizarding world, except for all the Death Eaters.
Forgetting Bobby, who was her boyfriend, she ran over to Harry and squeezed him and hugged him.
Forgetting Izobel and Hermione’s question he hugged back.
Then something happened.
Ginny’s warm lipstick layered lips connected with his. Harry never wanted to let go. He closed his eyes and everything around him was gone. All he could see was different visions of Ginny. She looked so lovely. His mind whirled and spun around, thought stirred in his head. He wasn’t worried.
Harry’s cool yet comfortable lips locked in with her own. She closed her eyes to see nothing. The sound of happiness rang in her ears. Her whole body was frozen but she clung onto Harry as if he was the last person there was. Her foot slowly lifted off the ground, then the other. Harry was holding her up, kissing her.
Harry felt the weight increase, he was holding Ginny. It was an intense yet satisfying moment. Then he swung her warm, diminutive body around and he had her in his arms like a newborn. Her legs were dangling. Opening his eyes, he saw her legs swinging in delight and her eyes were closed. Her cheeks rubbed against his.
Harry had pulled her up, now she was completely off the ground. Her mind swirled and then steadied itself with the thought of true love. Nothing in her life felt more refreshing than this kiss. Nothing made her more content than this kiss. She felt as if she could never tear her self away, as if when their lips left she would be lonesome without his graceful touch.
And too soon it was all done.
Harry accidentally tripped and Ginny fell. Her head had hit something, but she was okay.
“That was six minutes!” Bobby exclaimed cracking his knuckles. He didn’t look to happy with Harry.
Ginny glowered at Bobby, Harry still holding her.
“Harry…” she huffed, “I love you.”
Her eyes became teary, maybe because of happiness. Harry looked back at her and realized how much he had wanted her back. But now, it was safe of course and everything would be all right.
But as he sat there on the ground, Ginny in his arms he felt sorrow rise inside of him. He was sorry he had left Ron. Soon the sorrow left and was replaced with happiness and sadness. For he had missed her so much. It made him feel guilty inside. Of course Voldemort wouldn’t use the same person twice as prey. The contentment inside him overpowered all guilt and made him feel safe and sure of what was going to happen. He knew what was coming next.
“Harry,” Ginny sighed with sweetness in her voice, “Harry.”
He on of her low pigtails. Her hair was soft, warm, and silky.
“Harry, do you want to go out?” she asked without a flaw.
Then Bobby jumped. Suddenly Ginny cried, “Expelliarmus!” And then Bobby flew back and fell onto a couch.
“Petrificus totalus!” Harry added as Bobby froze.
They grinned and then looked at each other.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That night in bed Harry felt lonely without Ron in there with him. No one asked where Ron was, not even Rayne, who he hadn’t seen much of that day. Was the new trio already falling apart? They couldn’t be. Harry and Ron were gone for the most part. But then Harry thought that tomorrow would be the third day off. He was going to send an owl to Ron if he didn’t show up. He wanted to spend his days on break with his friends.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The next morning Harry awoke to see Ron in his bed, sleeping. He had arrived in the middle of the night.
Then Ron sprang up, some anger showing on his face.
“You and Ginny are back together?” he asked. Harry was sure he was mad.
“It took you long enough! I just was waiting for you to see her this year. She’d been gone, she had the Ruelral it turns out. I was T.O.'d off because I wanted you two together. We just need to be related!” he exclaimed.
Harry jumped.
“Not marriage yet!” Harry said, surprised, “But you wanted us together? When did you learn all this?”
Ron smiled.
“Ginny, last night.”

I hope you enjoyed it! Please review in the link somewhere above in a reply!

Chapter Seven:
The Christmas Ball

That night, it was late and Ginny and Harry were snuggling together on a couch. It was loud in the common room. Then the door opened.
Izobel.
“Harry!” she raged, her face red with resentment, “You cheating scumbag!”
Hermione was behind her in tears, her face pink and her eyes swelled and also pink. She looked a wreck and there were loud, random sobs coming out of her at times.
“What?” he said innocently.
“You know exactly what!” Izobel scolded, “You, you are going out with Ginny before you even erm…APPROVE IT WITH ME!”
“Well then. I’m breaking up with you,” Harry murmured turning away. Ginny began to make out with him.
“I never liked you anyway, I always knew Bobby was my type!” she cried triumphantly, she seemed very proud of herself.
“But what about me?” Hermione asked desperately, “I need someone!”
Izobel walked over to Bobby, rolling her eyes. She never thought that Hermione was much of a “lover”.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was the night of Christmas and everyone was dressing up. They had been told there was a ball and that everyone was to attend. Izobel and Bobby. Ron and Rayne. Harry and Ginny. Hermione and no one. You get the gist.
Ginny stepped out of the shower, in a new towel she had received for Christmas. She combed her hair through and dried it. She slipped into her panties and bra and exited the bathroom.
Harry shook his hair about and then put on his deodorant. Then, drying his hair he remembered he had to also brush it. When he was done he went into the dorm and slipped into a pair of black dress pants, a frilly white dress shirt and a bottle green robe.
Rayne’s hair was dry and she was adjusting it. It was curled and she looked wonderful. All her hair was down except her bangs that were pulled back by a copper hair clip. When she left the bathroom clean and ready she put on her copper sleeveless dress. Since it was winter, she also put on a see through copper long sleeve cover up. She fastened the gold button.
Hermione felt hopeless with her hair. She didn’t want to do anything with it. It had finally tried but Hermione still had no idea what to do with it. But with a snap of her finger she pulled out a rubber band and carefully put it into a braid and then pushed it to one side.
Ron was done getting cleaned and good looking so he put on his black pants and a maroon dress shirt. Quickly, he pulled on a black robe and some dress socks. Thinking he had gotten ready too fast, he went to fix his hair.
Izobel’s brown hair was shiny and was crimped. She looked very pretty. Her eyes were lilac purple, that eye shadow made her brown eyes stick out. Her lips were pursed, but were a light shade of red, just barely noticeable. But she had layered, and made them sparkle with purple sparkles. She was in her bathrobe and her lilac dress lay on the bed.
Bobby shook out his long blonde hair. He combed it through and then gelled it up. It was spiked. Exiting the bathroom, he went over to his bed and put on some black dress pants, a black frilly shirt, and a navy robe. He bent down and pulled his wand out of his trunk. With a quick non-verbal spell, his navy dress shoes were shiny and polished.
Ginny walked into the dormitory and looked on her bed. There was a red thin strap dress. It was just above knee length. She knew it was not exactly a winter dress, but would wear it anyway. When she put it on she went back into the bathroom and did her hair. She parted it to a side and then pulled the rest back in a messy bun. She left her bangs down to hang to one side. Then Ginny slipped on her three inch red heels. They had straps and beads.
Harry put on his socks and shoes. They were shined and clean. He tied them up and stood up. He looked in the mirror and smiled.
Rayne walked over to her golden ballet flats. They were all sparkles, golden ones. There was a golden ribbon laced on the front. They matched perfectly with her dress.
Hermione had just finished her hair, it was in a braid and now she went to put on her dress. It was white. It had no sleeves and covered up her feet. Down the front were intricate lace designs. She put on her white satin ballet flats and adjusted the top of her dress. She was ready.
Ron was done. His hair was fixed, his clothes were on, and he smelled fresh. He walked down into the common room with Harry and then waited silently.
Izobel put on her dress and knee high old fashioned white lace up boots. The bottom or what showed of the boots didn’t look like boots. They looked like enclosed heels. The she finally finished lacing them up she was ready.
Bobby walked down to the common room, meeting Izobel along the way. They walked out giggling and flirting.
But then Ginny came down. Harry was awestruck. Her hair was amazing and her dress was so cute on her, it was just cut out for her size. On her wrist was a white lace bracelet with a single red rose and baby’s breath around it.
“H-hi Ginny,” Harry said breathlessly.
Then Hermione walked down. As good as she looked she was teary eyed at the sight of Harry and Ginny. She ran out of the Gryffindor tower, sobbing.
“Let’s go,” Ginny said shyly walking down the staircase.
Harry nodded and Ron followed after, having to find Rayne in the Great Hall.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Great Hall was dazzling. the sky was bright blue with specks of white. There were crystal statues of headmasters and headmistresses. One was Dumbledore. There was holiday music playing and people were merry, bright, and benign. There was food on long tables and all the professors looked happy.
“Hey, there’s Rayne. I’m going to see her!” Ron exclaimed waving them good-bye.
Ginny and Harry nodded.
“Would you like to dance?” Ginny asked. Someone obnoxious whistled at her.
“Urgh, what an idiot,” she mumbled putting her hand on Harry’s hip. they began to waltz across the dance floor.
Soon the whole school was watching them and they hadn’t noticed. When Ginny finally did notice she turned bright red and her eyes were wide.
Why had they been staring at us? she thought hopelessly.
Then Harry noticed too. He looked around and then let go of Ginny. He smiled at her warmly, but went to go sit with Rayne and Ron. They were grinning at him.
“Why didn’t you say anything?” Harry asked, still a little pink on his cheeks.
“It was so romantic, and everyone thought so too,” Rayne said dreamily, “Especially Luna.”
Harry looked over at Luna, who was somehow Rayne’s cousin.
“She’s jealous. She likes you,” Ron told him honestly.
Harry stood up, he was angry and wished Ginny would get over here with him,
“Everyone like me!” Harry shouted when people had begun dancing again, “And I can’t love every single one of them. I’m sick of being a hero. Go ahead and let them crush on me but they can’t get all uptight because I’m going out with Ginny not them!”
That made Ginny turn away from her conversation with Lavender Brown.
“I have to go talk to Harry,” she sighed sympathetically, “There’s something the matter.”
Ginny walked over to red-faced Harry and motioned for him to sit down. She sat next to him.
“What is it?”
“I know it seems stupid but I’m sick of every girl in the whole school hitting on me and loving me and then getting all tense about me going out with you. I’m not gonna have a special day for all of them,” Harry moaned, “Now let’s go eat. The food smells really good.”
Ginny agreed and got up from her seat and straightened her ruffled dress. She took Harry’s sweaty hand and they ambled over to a table of food.
“I’m going to stuff my face!” Harry told Ginny. He was all of the sudden extremely hungry.
“Okay,” Ginny chuckled taking some pudding and whipped cream.
Harry grabbed whatever he could get his hands on. When his plate was a leaning tower he made his way back to the table where Ron and Rayne…were.
Now Ron and Rayne were waltzing across the dance floor. Harry never realized that Ron was such a good dancer. Rayne was so graceful and awesome too.
“Look at Ron,” Harry said, beginning to work on a biscuit.
“I know. He’s a pretty good dancer I suppose. Him and Rayne look really great together. Don’t you think?” Ginny said.
“Sort of. Even Rayne being younger I still think it’s all right,” Harry said truthfully.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Harry had finally finished eating and he felt sick to his stomach. Ginny told him they didn’t have to dance. Inside, Harry didn’t even want to dance. The evening wasn’t turning out to be great and he just wanted to leave. So he did. Ginny went to the dance floor to get Ron to talk to him and Harry slipped off. When he reached the common room it was deserted. Harry wanted to be alone but still sorely missed Ginny. He only wanted to be with her. His insides ached for Ginny or someone that he liked, someone like Ron. Someone who he could tell his feelings to. But when Harry checked his watch he had a sudden pang of pleasure, but it left as fast as it came. It was only seven o’clock, he had time to himself. His thoughts stirred and mixed.
I wish something would turn out right, he thought to himself that night, I want to get along good with Ginny. I want something between us, badly. But she’ll never love me like I love her. I can’t feel her as much as I want to. There’s nothing quite special between us. But that’s because it’s me. No one really loves me.
That’s when Harry realized something that made him cry, actually cry.
Everyone who would really love him was dead. His parents, Sirius, Dumbledore. There were no more professors that he knew quite as well as his old ones, the ones who did actually care for him. He just wanted someone to take care of him. The Weasley’s were like family, but he would have to leave them sometime, they wouldn’t always be there. And at that moment his heart felt cold and lonely, for then he missed his mum and dad more than he ever had before.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Harry had drifted off to a dreamless sleep. When he woke it was only nine o’clock. But also, when he woke he found his cheeks wet and his eyes pink and puffy. His cheeks were tear-stained.
Harry buried his face into a pillow. He cried and cried. He couldn’t control his emotions and he also couldn’t understand why this was hitting him so hard.
Then the portrait hole swung open. Filling the doorway was not Ron, was not Ginny, but Hermione.
“Harry, are you all right?” she asked kindly.
Harry lifted his face from the pillow.
“You look like a wreck, what’s the matter?”
Harry shook his head and gulped, but he couldn’t swallow.
“Everything,” he sobbed, “I’ve had a terrible evening and I just want something but I’ll never get it. I won’t, not ever.”
Hermione sat beside him, understanding.
“Yes, my evening hasn’t been great either. I know how you feel. I do,” she said quietly. Then, she pulled out the Ruelral and left. She was gone. All hope of Harry’s was gone too. He had no one now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Harry woke in the morning, sun blazing in. Ginny was beside him.
“Harry, everything is all right.” And everything turned out to be.

The End

**Sorry for the short notice ending but a sequel may be needed and this is where it ends. Ginny and Harry do stay together. I know it’s sort of a happily ever after ending but everything turned out right. Except that Lily and James were still dead.**
