Which couple would you like to see survive the most? Harry & Ginny or Ron & Hermione?

I just wondered what couple you guys think are the best written/have the most chemistry/are best suited/you would like to survive the most?

In short: which couple do you like the best, if you had to choose and what are the good and bad points of each couple?

And which couple would you like to see together the most in DH?

I'm going to let you guys discuss before I give my opinion...:p

I always thought Harry/Ginny kind of came out of nowhere, and pretty much went nowhere. They're not as interesting as Ron/Hermione.

Harry and Ginny - hands down. As a character, Harry drives me nuts, and in my opinion his character has gotten worse with each book. But Ginny is SO awesome as a character, I REALLY want to see more of what happens between the two of them. Hopefully, she can straighten him out.

Ron and Hermione are both somewhat bland characters. Ron is rather 2 dimensional, and not very observant. I suppose that just the trait of being male in general, but it's SO apparent, that it's almost hard to read his parts. Hermione is a much better character, but is still somewhat flat in terms of the fact that she's always the "book smart" one. She doesn't grow much through the series, and that makes me sad. There's the one scene where she blows everyone away at the Yuletide ball, but outside of that, she's the same Hermione throughout.

Out of the 4 characters listed, Ginny is the only one who consistantly shows character growth and development through the series, and that's why she's, by far, myu favorite character in the series.

well the harry/ginny thing as someone else said came out of nowhere...but the hermione/ron thing has been going on for quite a few books now....i really want to see ron/hermione finally get together, and i wanto harry and ginny to survive too..but i don't really feel it is necessary for the harry/ginny relationship......
i have no idea on what to chose... i mea i want the ron/hermione thing to survive, and i want ginny and harry to survive as charcters not in a relationship....throught dh i would like to see hermione/harry... i really don't think harry/ginny will get together until the end if anything..that is if harry survives. but i think hermione/ron will get together at least half way through....therefore to me their relationship will be more..uumm important.i don;t feel that harry/ginny are best suited with each other...so i will have to go on to say
*drum rolls*
hermione and ron....but harry will survive....:p

Ron and Hermione, no contest in my opinion. The whole series has been building up their feelings for each other. Hermione did hurt Ron's feelings during her fling with Krum, but I still like her as a character and want her to survive DH.

I'm afraid to say what I think about Ginny, because it's almost become as bad as the Snape argument on the boards. If you criticise Ginny, a swarm of girls descend and you never hear the last of it (trust me). However (here goes), I didn't like the way she spoke to Ron. If she really is so grown up and intuitive regarding feelings then she would have seen that he only wanted to look after her and was just being defensive. She also did get through a lot of boys. I like her with Harry, and as a character, but her arrogant presence in HBP towards the beginning did frustrate me. I just wanted Ron to get his own back. Ultimately, however, I would prefer if Ginny survived because we have seen great character growth.

I am probably in the minority here, but I would prefer to see Harry & Ginny survive, simply because after all Harry has been through, he deserves to live a long, peaceful life, with Ginny there to make him happy.

However, Ron & Hermione has been building for about 4 books now, so they will definitely get together in DH. Whether they will both survive, though, has yet to be seen. Someone may be required to make the "ultimate" sacrifice. :upset:

As much as I love Harry, I'd want Ron and Hermione to make it out alive.
Their romance has been built up so much over the years, it would be torture to pull them apart just as they finally get together.

It's funny how two people can interpret the same literature in such vastly different ways. In my opinion, Ginny is the flattest of these four characters. And I don't even see a contest there. I have always seen her as more of a background character until very recently. Even in the Chamber of Secrets, I see little development in her character, and she has a major impact on the action of the plot in that book. Then, even in the fifth and sixth books when her character begins coming more central to the story, I found that I had little to no attachment to her. For me, this is usually due to the fact that the character is not well done, lifeless in a sense. That's not necessarily the case with Ginny. and yet I find that I have little to no emotional investment in her character. I will admit that I found, and still find on subsequent reads, that I loved the dialog between her and Harry. Ginny, although saying little, showed grace and maturity, and I respect her character a lot more than I ever did. I also thought that their romance, however short lived, was sweet, honest, and touching. I really did. Still, I don't think she's all that evolving. Because I have little feeling for her character, I have little feeling for the survival of her and Harry's relationship.

Ron and Hermione are an entirely different story. I think that the difference between you and I's opinion comes, mainly, from the fact that Ginny happens to be your favorite character and Ron happens to be mine. I think that Ron is smart, loyal, and the most humorous character of all of the series. He doesn't always make the best decisions, and he can be stubborn, but I love that he is so real as a character. He really fills the role of a teenage boy, and all that goes with it. I also see him growing, maturing, throughout the series. My biggest complaint with the movies is that they have turned Ron into much more of a stock character than he deserves, giving him little credit. I respect the multi-dimensionalism (is that a word...:p) of the character, and it is one of the biggest reasons why I love him so much. I have been rooting for he and Hermione ever since their first meeting, when she told him he had a bit of dirt on his nose, and I would be broken-hearted if they didn't get their happily ever after (or, at least as much of it as they can, being the bickering pair that they are :p).

Ron and Hermione - because while I don't think their relationship would be perfect (they'll still bicker), I really like how they are together. Beyond all their fighting, which is sometimes neccesary to see all views, they seem to bring out each others best qualities...Which is, in fact, why I like the trio's friendship as a whole. And romantically, JKR has been building this ship up for years.

Harry and Ginny - honestly, it was no contest. I do NOT want to see them last, at all. They are both fine characters but together they're just...too much.

I'm rather at a loss on this one. While I have been anxiously awaiting Ron&Hermione for a long time, I've gotten gotten wrapped up in Harry&Ginny through various fanfictions. With this in mind, I'd really like to see Harry&Ginny some more to see if they have the potential that most seem to think that they have but on the other hand... I've been waiting so long! And, I mean, the fact that I prefer Ron over Harry and Ginny over Hermione doesn't make the decision any easier. With that, I'm one for one on both sides.

In the end, I'd have to say Ron & Hermione. They waited long enough to get together and I'd hate to see that cut short because of some psycho with a stick. [:

Haha. Only that Voldemort seems kinda silly to me. I mean, he's dangerous in the books and all but sitting back trying to picture him in my mind makes me laugh. Iunno, I couldn't take someone who looks as JK discribes him seriously.

Harry and Ginny for sure. Harry is one of my favorite characters. He and Ginny make a very cute couple. I don't think Hermione and Ron will stay together for long. They are total opposites and I can see them getting into a lot of fights and arguments.

Harry & Ginny, imo, is kind of a boring pair, then again, I've found most Harry-based pairings boring, 'cept for the one I really like that'll never become canon...although...his obsession towards that character in HBP could possibly count. ~_^ Nah. lol

Anywho, for this, I'll go with Ron and Hermione. I find them more interesting due to how different they both are. Harry and Ginny are a bit similar in some aspects.

Harry and Ginny definately!!!
They have been my favourite couple since CoS, so they have to survive and end up together.
Ron is my favourite character, but I don't really like Hermione, I only want her to survive because Ron loves her and I want him to be happy.
So if only one couple can make it out alive and together, then it had better be Harry and Ginny.

I like both couples, but I'm hoping to see more of Harry and Ginny because we've seen so much of Ron and Hermione. I think H/G was clearly foreshadowed: she was interested in him early on, she had an experience with Voldemort/Riddle and in OotP used that to help Harry when he thought Voldemort was possessing him when no one else could help him, and from the beginning of HBP he was becoming aware of how much he cared about her--it took him aback when she wasn't going to ride in the car with him on the Express. Seems to me this has been prefigured as much as anything else in the series.

I agree with you. Although I stick with wanting Ron and Hermione to come together, as I have always wanted to see, I agree that Harry and Ginny did not exactly come out of nowhere. I think we saw lot of signs, which you have outlined quite nicely. I think that, for me, the biggest reason why I tend to leaning toward Ron and Hermione is that what they, despite all of the bickering - or maybe because of it --who knows, have seems so much deeper to me, for some reason. It is very realistic to a point, and I see it going the distance. The 'build-up' between Harry and Ginny was certainly there, but it was so, I don't know, light, juvenile (I am struggling searching for the word here, and I apologize for that) that I never wanted it as badly. Ginny blushing when she saw Harry at the Burrow, that sort of thing...I just never got into it. Of course, I have never really been a big 'shipper', anyway, Harry and Ginny aren't the only ones I am not all that interested in. The romance is okay, as it's part of life and therefore should be part of any long series if it is going to be a touch realistic, but I don't read HP for the romance, either way.

Hermione and Ron, just becuase I think they are more destined to be together than Harry and Ginny are. Harry and Ginny's romance is still kind of all of a suddenand new, when Ron and Hermione's has been an one going thing and loger so its stronger.

I'd just be happy if everyone survived and both couples ended up together. :) But you know JK, very unexpecting we'll just have to wait.

It really is interesting how differently we look at the two couples. I never cared much about Ron and Hermioneīs relationship either way. To me, they are so different that itīs difficult to see how they will last in the long run.

I too saw H/G from CS, so it didnīt come out of nowhere to me and I just loved Ginnyīs confident kick *** personality in OOTP and HBP.

Ron and Hermione because I think they like each other more - I mean when Ginny went out with Dean Harry didn't refuse to talk to Ginny, did he? But when Lavender went out with Ron, Hermione wouldn't talk to him because she was basically heart-broken.
You could kind of see something between Ron and Hermione ever since the first book, where as I found it harder to forsee Harry and Ginnys relationship - OK Ginny fancied Harry from the start, but Harry never showed ANY romantic liking back, and it appeared that Ginny stopped liking Harry in the 4th book.
There was always something between Ron and Hermione, though, and I'll be really dissapointed if they don't come together.

That's a sign of immaturity rather than depth of feeling. ;) Besides, they are very different circumstances - if Ginny had snogged Dean after she had agreed to go to a party with Harry, I think Harry's reaction would have been rather different.

For me, I just want to see the boy happy, so I have to go for Harry/Ginny. I like the way that romance has been handled, and I found it fun and involving, where Ron/Hermione started to bore me a little by the end of HBP (too much Ron/Lavender in that book). I do still like Ron and Hermione, and preferably both would survive, but I have a funny feeling that's not going to happen.

JKR was making a specific point about romance there, though, as she is with Ron and Hermione. Ginny had to overcome the blushing and the fangirl-iness - she had to stop moping about after Harry, and try to get on with her life. She never gave up hope of him noticing her, but she stopped planning her life around him - and through that growth, her true personality started to shine through to Harry, and he really did start to notice her. On Harry's part, he had to overcome the more shallow feelings he had for Cho, which were purely based on Cho's physical appearance (he first feels something for her when he looks at her for the first time) - his feelings for Ginny are clearly based on her personality, the time he spends with her. It's a story about maturity, both of them need to grow emotionally until they're ready to fall for each other properly.

Ron and Hermione have been through something similar. In Ron's case, he needed to realise what his feelings for Hermione actually were - for years he had a view of romance which was based on physical appearance and a bit of snogging. He needed the Lavender experience to realise that this kind of relationship gets you nowhere, so now he's after something deeper, and he seems to realise what he has in Hermione. As for Hermione, she seems to have been scared of admitting her feelings for Ron to him for years, possibly for a number of reasons. She finally started to overcome that in HBP, when she asked him to Slughorn's party. So they're much more open now, with themselves and with each other.

I've actually been very impressed by he handling of both these romances. Despite the fun, light-hearted surface of it, there's real depth and development going on in both of them.

Wow, morbid subject.

To address the point at hand though I wouldn't want either of these couples not to survive, frankly it'd be too hard on the other. In real terms I can see Ron and Hermione coping, eventually, with the loss of Harry and Ginny but I think losing them could send Harry over the edge. Maybe with Ginny as a balance he could get over that but I think he'd be less likely to do so than Ron or Hermione.

I would choose Harry and Ginny, but mainly because we haven't really seen how Hermione and Ron interact as a true couple out in the open and they tend to bicker a lot. And it would be good for the Potter family to continue.

I really love the two couples and i don't want any one of them die..Every couple fell in love in different way. ( Ron and Hermione's love is different from Harry and Ginny's one ) but this doesn't mean that one is good and the other is bad, the both couple fell in love and there are different ways of love..I love LOVE so I'd like to see all the loved couples survive and marry..May be H/G and R/Hr more cause we saw their love through the books but for example L/T was in HBP only but of course that doesn't mean that I want L/T to die but The most important to me is H/G, R/Hr

if you had asked this question a few months ago i would have immediately answered Ron and Hermione, because I really, really disliked Ginny. However, a friend has pointed out that the only reason i don't like her is because i am her (in personality), so i have since come to terms with my inner ginny and would have to say that i could not stand for either couple to die. i can not presume to conjecture as to whether or not one will, but i do not wish for it.

Harry and Ginny. It's the only couple that has Harry as a participant, and since Harry is the character I love best, and care about the most, that makes it a very easy choice for me. I still love Ron and Hermione too though, just not as much as I love Harry. I guess, I want them all to survive, that would be the best.

This is a really hard question! I love both the couples but Ron and Hermione have had so much development ever since book 1 and it's been way too much fun following their chemistry where I also get sudden urges to tear my own hair for taking so long for the pair to get together. I simply loved Harry and Ginny's romance, and I'm positive that they'll get back, and they like Ron and Hermione, are meant to be. And I certainly don't want any of them to die - I believe that Harry will survive and lead a happy life, but it won't be possible if Ron, Hermione or Ginny don't make it, hence they will live.

I agree with Deevo, I think Ron and Hermione could cope with a loss of either Harry or Ginny, but I think Harry would suffer a lot more witht he loss of any of the rest. Honestly, I want both couples to survive and have lots of little red headed kids!

Also, I think it's so funny when people say that Ron and Hermione are too different to make a couple and they bicker, etc. My husband and I are exactly like Ron and Hermione and we've been married for 9 years! So I love Ron and Hermione together!

I would like them all to survive but given a choice, I would say Harry & Ginny. With their constant bickering, Ron & Hermione act like an already married couple of 10 or more years. The Harry/Ginny romance is still fresh and has yet to develop. Despite the possibility of fate for either side, I'm anxious to see how the Harry/Ginny relationship will develop.

I would prefer Harry and Ginny to survive because I love Harry so much and want him to be happy. Also, I think Ginny can handel Harry really well and can stand up to him. They have things in common, like quiddich and they share the same sense of humour. They also have good chemistry and trust one another completely (eg, Harry trusting the "small hand" that lifted him up after Dumbledonre died). Also, they do not seem awkward around eachother like Ron and Hermione can be somethimes (although we might see Harry and Ginny feeling awkward around eachother in DH).

Bad points about the Harry/Ginny relationship is that it did not get much page space and did not last for long and I don't see them getting back together until the end of DH. Another bad point is that Harry does not yet see Ginny as an equal, he sees her as something that needs protecting. He does not realise how strong she is. Also, I feel that Ginny got through slightly too many boys in the space of 2 years. I'm looking forward to the reaction of some of the Weasley's when they found out that Harry and Ginny dated for a while.

The slight issue I have with Ron and Hermione is that they are so different. (Yes, I do know that opposites atract but I can't even think how they would spend quality time together, they have nothing in common except Harry! Ron likes quiddich and Hermione likes books and SPEW.) Also, the amout of time they have taken to get together is infuriatingly long and I don't like it how Hermione felt she had to make Ron jealous by going out with McClaggan and why would Ron go off with Lavender just to get back on Hermione for kissing Victor 2 years ago? It seems so immature. At least they have got past that stage by the end of HBP. Also, they argue so much.

However, good points are that they have provided lots of funny moments in the books and I suppose the fact that they argue could be a good point too because they are not afraid to speak their feelings and one character does not dominate the other.

Yes, that is what I meant but people can discuss what they want. I just wanted people to evaluate which couple they liked the best and are best suited, not necesserily about the characters they wanted to survive but the couple who's relationship they wanted to suvive. Well I'vealways been a huge supporter of Ron and Hermione and they're definately my favourite. I love the way that JK has written them together and I love their little arguments. Also, seeing Ron and Hermine together at last will definately be one of the highlights of Deathly Hallows (assuming that they do get together).

I like Harry and Ginny as a couple though. They go well together although I would have liked maybe a few more personal moments between them written in the books because I don't think that I'm as emotionally attached to their relationship as I am to R/Hr. As for heir relationship coming from no where, I guessed that it would happen right from CoS. Also, in HBP their were so many small, cleverly written hints.

Now this is a great question. Though I'd like to see BOTH survive, I'd like to see Harry and Ginny survive. It's not that I don't like Ron and Hermione, but the idea of them being a couple doesn't quite sit right with me.
Hermione is way too bossy and she acts more like she's his Mother than a Friend. For some reason, I get the impression that she could be VERY difficult to live with. First of all, she's extremely intelligent. She is also very studious--to the point of being too studious. It's almost as if she's trying to impress someone. She is also somewhat of a "Teacher's Pet" with the exception of Snape who calls her an "Insufferable-Know-It-All". Because she's so studious, Hermione expects Ron and Harry to do the same and at times is VERY hard on Ron! Although I don't have any direct quotes, she has made some borderline nasty comments to him about his laziness. Which, IMHO, makes her sound more like his Mother admonishing him than a FRIEND.
Ron can only take so much before he blows up at her. Same with Hermione, she refused to be the "go between" when Ron and Harry were on non-speaking terms. Ron can also act very juevenile at times and Hermione finds this very frustrating. Also, she "dated" Victor Krum for a while and Ron was green with jealousy. However, he waited too long before asking Hemione to the dance. He then starts dating Lavender Brown and HERMIONE was green with envy. Okay, the idea of Ron being with Lavender Brown makes me sick.
In short these two have never confessed their feelings for each other. If they had, I can't remember and will gladly be corrected by another reader/poster.
As for Harry and Ginny---they are PEFECT for each other. Harry admitted and told Ginny he loved her and to protect her from Voldemort, he broke up with her. Because he feels by having pushing Ginny away, it will protect her from harm, and him from heart break. I think if anything was to happen to Ginny, it would REALLY shake Harry, he'd blame himself for years for it.
He treats Ginny with respect, kind of like I see James and Lily. These are two people who are madly in love with each other.
This is the couple I'd like to see survive the most. They both seem to be free spirited, yet keep each other grounded. Neither tries to boss the other around.

The one problem i forshadow in this is that as Harry tries to pursue his goal of destroying the Horcruxes, Ginny will always be on his mind and i think it will be hard for him to concentrate. Don't get me wrong, I do believe this is the best couple in the entire series thus far. Like you said, they are PERFECT for each other. I'm just anxious to read book 7 to find what really happens :D

A toughy. I love the pairing of R/Hr, but I want Harry to survive. I never really liked the H/G thing... I'd have to say that Ron and Hermione survive as a relationship.

I want both to survive as people, but neither to survive as a relationship. Up until HBP I would've scoffed at H/G, and R/Hr seemed possibble, but not very much considering their constant quarreling.

I never liked H/G because I just thought Ginny's crush was subsided and pretty much gone. Plus there was little hinting to it. It just seemed to me like something that would've happened already if it should've.

R/Hr is different. I saw all the hints and etc. despite being a H/Hr shipper, but I just don't see them going through their whole lives together. They fight too much, even for those I-only-fight-because-everything-you-say-goes-straight-to-my-heart guys.

And in response to MuggleNet's idea:
Getting along is a sign of a lack of sexual interest in each other.
Did Ginny and Harry ever fight?

Exactly.

Harry & Ginny and Ron & Hermione.

I would like to see each of them survive. For completely different reasons.

I like Ron and Hermione together because they are totally different people, they work well in situations together as well.

Harry and Ginny should be together because they are perfect together, I can see them facing Voldemort together side by side.

Did Ginny and Harry ever fight?

Um, yes, for the little we saw of them together.

All through OoTP Ginny firmly told Harry 'where he could put his temper' and Harry was rude to her a few times.
Obviously we see more interaction between Hermione and Ron because they are in the story more.

Where did Mugglenet say that? That doesn't make very much sense  Not all relationships are the same, after all. Ron and Hermione's kind of relationship wouldn't necessarily work for a couple like Harry and Ginny, just like H/G's dynamic probably wouldn't work for R/Hr. People deal with attraction differently.

I have to say that I would really like both of them to succeed. However, I think that I would like to see Harry and Ginny succeed more. I really don't have a solid reason as to why. I just like them as a couple better. Although that is not to say that I don't like Ron and Hermione as a couple too. I really would prefer them both to end up together.

That's the main problem with H/G. Their relationship is boring.

After reading the HBP i would have to say Tonks and Lupin should get totether. It killed me to see Tonks so sad. And I think they make a very nice couple. Of course i do still want Harry and Ginny to be together, but what if ginny is not allowed to go with harry, ron , and hermione? i think she would go back to hogwarts and date someone else out of anger twards harry for not letting her go with him. and if hermione and ron get together and not ginny and harry, then harry will be a very lonley boy, considering the number of friends he has. (still love Harry though)

This is hard as I love them both. Ginny is my favorite character, yet Ron comes in a close second. I guess I would have to say Harry and Ginny. But, I don't want Ron and Hermione to die. Oh, this is hard. Okay, Harry and Ginny first came to my mind when I looked at the two so I guess I would pick them.

I think Ron/Hermione because it's been coming for such a long time and we've been watching their relationship develop through 6 books. I like Harry/Ginny, but there isn't so much background on it, so I'm not as into it.

Ditto. Frankly, I'm not in the least invested in Harry and Ginny- it's not that I don't want to see the characters survive individually, but if they don't get back together I won't be crushed.

I'm afraid I'm one of those really annoying posters who don't have an answer.

I would be severely disappointed with the book if any of the four die. I think I would toss it aside (maybe burn it) and never, ever read it again.

If I absolutely had to say, I'd go with Harry and Ginny...but like I say I think/hope/believe/pray that all four survive.

My thoughts exactly. There's not alot of a backround story with H/G, and it's not very interesting.

I'm not really sure. Even with all this time in between books and such. I still feel I haven't come to terms and read enough interaction between the couple (Ron and Hermione's friendship doesn't count) to get a hold on their relationship. If you know what I mean? I like both couples honestly and I wouldn't want to see either fall apart or one get killed and the other survive and whatnot.
I would have to say Ron and Hermione I guess. I do like Harry and Ginny's as well.
But....with Harry and Ginny it's different. I mean I was so mad at Harry. It's like he suddenly decided to notice Ginny after all this time.

I'd like to see Ron and Hermione actually make it official. There's been too much build up to not have a good scene where they move beyond friendship. But I do want to see more Harry and Ginny as well. I want both couples to survive, ultimately. However, if there's only room for one of the couples to be on page, it should be Ron and Hermione.

No matter how much I try I still can't choose one couple to survive
I'd like both of them to survive for totally different reasons.
I'd like the Harry/Ginny couple to survive because I think they are made for each other.Harry really looks like his father and Ginny looks like Harry's mother. Also, I think that their relationship should survive because Ginny had a crush on Harry for many years and they should at last be together. Both Harry and Ginny are 2 of my favourite characters and I think they deserve to be together.
As for Ron and Hermione, I believe we are all waiting to see them together at last and they too deserve being together. After so many years I can't wait too.Actually,I believe that Ron and Hermione are more likely to survive since Harry will be probably killed.

Both. I just couldnīt decide.

Ron is my absolute favourite character and he has been believably written to be meant to be with Hermione since book 1. And I have this thing for the bickering couple type. Therefore, Ron and Hermione is my favourite ship. I want to see the long, careful build-up come to fruition. Everything else would be just a waste of page-time.

Harry is a close second favourite character. I love the relationship he has with Ginny. I found the build-up believable and sufficient. They are very different from Ron and Hermione, therefore their relationship had to develop differently. Harry so much deserves to be happy that I would find it very hard to accept if he couldīt survive and be with Ginny.

Deevo has a point though. Ron and Hermione, especially as a couple, would be better at coping with the loss of Harry and/or Ginny, as Harry would with the loss of Ginny, Ron, Hermione. I donīt see Ron and Hermione able to cope with each otherīs death though.

Nevertheless, I want both couples to survive. Desperately so. And I personally think they will. That will not make for a cheesy, Hollywood-like ending though. Donīt worry, JKR will see to that.

Ron and Hermonie of course. I mean honestly, you saw the building of the romance throughtout the books. Even clueless Harry picked up on it! Many people choose H/G because they think it'll be cute. But they hooked-up and i felt like this as little to fluffy for me. Harry's sudden attraction to Ginny is bit toooo far fetched, and Ginny too much of a background character despite the last too books.

Ron and Hermonie all the way. For even though Harry and Ginny shared kisses, the image of Hermione crying on Ron shoulder at the end of HBP is far more emotional.

I like Ron & Hermione better than Harry & Ginny. Ginny doesn't seem "real" to me yet, and I agree that Harry's attraction to her was much too suddenly fierce. I suppose I just can't relate to the Harry/Ginny relationship, but I totally see the Ron/Hermione type relationship in real life. It's full of wild emotion :) I just hope Harry doesn't feel like a 3rd wheel.

I want everyone to survive! I mean, Harry's the main character and we've been pulling for him from the start. He needs the chance to lead a normal, happy life. Ron and Hermione, though, are so meant to be, and I care as much about them as I do Harry, really.

June 14th, 2007, 1:20 am
I have to say Harry and Ginny because, well Harry deserves it. He has no one left, who loves him anymore, he has watched them all go one by one, so he deserves to be with Ginny. He has been through to many things to be denied this one. Another point is that Harry and Ginny went along so smoothly, no problems, nothing, that it was a beautiful thing to watch.

Hermione and Ron on the other hand have been through so much, so many arguements that we'd all be happy if they just settled down, still Harry and Ginny are just... a better fit.

But in truth I believe that both couples will live through the seventh book, because Harry deserves Ginny after all he's been through so JKR probably won't kill her. She killed his parents, Sirius, and Dumbeldore, so I do not think she'll kill Ginny. And also once someone asked her if she'd kill Ron and she said "As if I'd kill Harry's best friend!". So that'd probably go for Hermione as well.

I agree with you. Harry never tasted the happiness but few times only. He needs to be happy for some long time. Harry suffered alot and he faced alot. Actually, I pity him. Ginny is the only one who had made Harry so happy and this was clear in book 6. So, why Harry wouldn't be with Ginny ?? :(

I also want to see Ron and Hermione together. May be they argue alot but they are cute and very suitable to each other. Can we have the both couple survive, Jo?

Id like to see Hermione and Ron together. I know alot of people say they dont match, but if we do see them together in DH, I hope alot of people realise they do belong together, and they have liked each other so long, so I hope they do eventually survive and keep their relationship. :)

Ron and Hermione. Even though I think that the parallel of Harry/Ginny is too similar to James/Lily. But I think it would be more poetic if both Harry and Ginny died, especially if Ginny's death was somehow resulting from her possession in book two, it would strengthen the bond between her and Harry.

Harry/Ginny did come out of nowhere, and JK doesn't give us a whole lot of background on their relationship. The time they spend together as a couple is kind of skimmed over, and we don't really get to see specific interactions between them that formed the bond they supposedly have.

I like Ron/Hermione, but I really can't imagine any way in which the pivotal scene could unfold without being cheesy or forced. Also, I really can't imagine Ron being a good boyfriend at all, at least at first. I kind of imagine their relationship as being very similar to Chandler and Monica on Friends.

Ron & Hermione, I feel much more attached to them as a couple. We aren't given much background on Ginny/Harry's relationship (well...he saved her life) but it could use more time in the spotlight. Hermione and Ron's relationship is both comical and touching.
