What would REALLY surprise you?

Sorry, Mods, if there's something too similar to this. I searched back to page 6 and didn't find any threads that were quite what I'm trying to talk about here. Also, I'm sorry if this isn't the correct place to have this discussion. I wasn't entirely sure.

What answers/events/revelations would completely surprise you? These should be things that you yourself really don't think will happen, but things that are somewhat plausible. We'd all obviously be surprised if the Hungarian Horntail Harry fought in GoF ended up being Ginny in animagus form taking out her anger on Harry for him not noticing her, but that isn't at all likely to happen. Lets avoid cluttering the thread with nonsensical things like that.

I would be caught off guard if R.A.B. weren't Regulus Black. There's just so much that proves it is him. I really wouldn't expect anyone else to be able to fit that role as well as he does.

I've always wondered about it but latley it's become quite a popular rumour among some fans.

I got to go with Regulus Black not being RAB. that's almost been thought a given.

Yeah Yeah, I know that at LEAST two characters have to die but I'm going to really surprised if they die ... surprised ....and depressed.
I'll be really surprised if Snape or Malfoy (Draco) dies. I don't like either of them but I just don't think they will be dying.

I would be absolutely shocked if Ron/Ginny/Hermione turned out to be a DE and betrayed Harry. Or McGonagal is a traitor. Or RAB isn't Regulus Black.

If Harry lived I'd be surprised because I've just got it running through my head, expecting him to die that I'd be surprised if he lived. Relieved and surprised.

I can't understand how people stil continue to think tha Snape is bad. Dumbeldore trusted him, didn't he. If you actually read the books you will see that there is absolutely no reason for us to think that he is on Voldmort's side, and that would be a terrible ending of the Harry Potter series, if Snape is bad.

I say, If Snape is bad, then I would be really surprised. If that happens, I'm gonna go and stick my head in the ground for a few years.

Frodo making an appearance
Going into outer space
Harry/Voldemort being killed by a random lightning strike
Hermione not getting together with Ron, but with Neville.

You know, I think I'd actually be pretty suprised if Snape turned out to be completely and utterly evil.

If everyone died in a total onslaught by the real villain of the serious, Dudley, who has been controlling Voldemort throughout the series and has been playing dumb.

He comes out of the magical closet, kills Voldemort and then AK's Harry in the chest behind the veil.

That would totally shock me. Talk about anticlimatic. When I first read this, I thought that I would almost prefer that over Harry dying. But then I took a second and realized, even if Harry dies in the end, I will never regret reading about Hogwarts. I want the magic to always be there, not just be some fantasy in the end.

Moving on, if Hermione was a Death Eater, I'd probably die from shock.

And of course, if R. Black wasn't R.A.B. I mean, come on... That's just not going to happen.

And if Snape wasn't on the Order's side That'd not sit well with me at all.

Oh, and if Snape (after proven to be good) became Headmaster of Hogwarts. That'd just be too painful -for both him and the sudents.

This is what would be very surprising to me:
It turns out Hagrid is the REAL evil mastermind behind everything. Voldemort and his followers are just an elaborate roose to distract Harry from the truth! Also, it's revealed that Winky is an integral part of this scheme--Harry's midget grandmother in disguise--who is not only inherantly evil, but betrothed to Draco Malphoy. Draco, though, doesn't want to marry her, and as Hagrid predicted, partakes in a secret affair with Moaning Murtle. Due to the scandal, Hagrid is able to blackmail Lucius Malphoy and practically makes him his slave. Not only that, but it turns out Voldemort is good, and the last time we see him in the final book, he wears a frilly dress and proclaims his motherly affection for Harry. In fact, he turns against the evil Hagrid and sacrifices himself to save Harry's life...

Umm the giant squid rising from the lake killing both Harry and Voldemort and taking over both the wizard and muggle world.
With the sub plots of hermione actually being a man, ron running off with winky and Doby as the new head of the order of the phonix rounded off with Snape really being nevilles grandmother.

Hogwarts being utterly demolished.

Snape living and becoming a father figure and friend to Harry or being revealed as a really kind, gentle person who's just been acting the nasty guy part throughout the whole series.

Harry, Ron, or Hermione dying.

If Snape was really really bad

and if Ginny had really used a love potion on Harry (or some similar charm/spell) to make him fall in love with her as some ehem fans insist is the only reason Harry fell for her.


If a Weasley, any Weasley, dies.

if ron ends up with fleur and breaks up his brothers marriage.......hahahaha that would be SURPRISING :lol:
