What song were you listening to while reading DH?

I was listening to "Everytime We Touch" by Cascada during a large chunk of DH (repaet button), so now whenever I hear that song I think of DH...which is more than a little absurd.
What about you guys?

I was listening to the song Stiff Kitten by Blaqk Audio when I read the first chapter. After that I have no idea!

I had no music on what so ever!! the tension was bad enough.... no1 dared to speak to me for the day until i had read the whole book

Puttykat 3: TNT is by AC/DC, that is if we're speaking of the same song. As for me, I was reading the book at the water front. The first time I read it, I didn't listen to any music--too distracting.

I was listening to a mix I made the day before.

When i'd finished reading, i listened to Eminem & Dido - Stan , made me cry, even more than i already was. :sad:

I wasn't listening to anything. I was on vacation and had my brothers laptop with no music on it, so I had nothing.

I was listening to 'Louder Now' (whole album) by Taking Back Sunday. Really helped me get into the book. Not that I needed much help. DH ruled! Now the song 'My Blue Heaven' will always bring me back to the times I spent in the JKR's world.

When I finished DH I listened to the album once more from start to finish and remembered all 7 books and how I would miss them now they were over. Made me feel right emo. Then I listened to 'Alive or Just Breathing' by Killswitch Engage to make myself feel happier. It worked.

I wasn't listening to anything but through it all I kept hearing songs from the RENT soundtrack going on in my head. Especially certain lines from "Another Day", such as:

I read while I was at the beach, so I didn't have any music going ... just the sound of the waves, as it was a very windy day :)

I was listening to my futon squeak every time I moved from reading in one position for too long. That, and the sprinkler system going off at 2 in the morning.

I'm one of those people who can't concentrate on what I'm reading whilst listening to music. I had retreated into my bedroom, the only place that is quiet in my house. :)

At scary or exciting parts I had on "Passion" by Hikaru Utada.. can't remember many other songs I listened to but that's the one I remember putting on when I got goosebumps and stuff. (about only song I actually listen to of her right now but it's very uhm, well it made me feel a bit final battle-ish like, very... I don't know how to describe) I didn't have on music all the time (I think about quarter of time probably less), but even the most catchy songs didn't make me sing along because I was so into the book.

For whatever reason I was listening to the score from "Last of the Mohicans." Weird, huh?

i wasn't listening to anything as i read it, but in my head i had the order of the phoenix for the film soundtrack playing. especially the death of sirius, that was great in the hogwarts battle :D

During the entire reading of the book I had on the audio cds by Jim Dale. Around book 5 that became my favorite way to read them.... with me reading the book following along with the voices of the characters!

I was listening to Mozart. Sometimes, if I'm lucky, the slow notes are at uneventful times, and the dramatic notes are at huge plot twists. It's like my own sound track.

I really never listen to music when I am concentrating on a book, not even as background music. It just distracts me, especially when it's a song a like, I would be forced to sing a long and loose myself.

i was listening to the arctic monkeys, psapp, and bloc party towards the beginning but then i was too into the book to press 'play' again on my ipod once the playlist ended haha

I had no patience for music lol. I just wanted to find out what happened. So, no I didnt listen to any particular song. It would have been distracting.

I never knew anyone listens to music while reading! For me it would be a big distraction, my mind would focus on both things and then I would end up re-reading the same page 7 times :lol: (though that's what ends up happening when I read when I'm really tired and I try to read)

If I would have listened to a song, I guess it would be Thanks for the Memories by FOB

I think I just had my iPod on shuffle, and was listening to that, but what I can remember listening to is Stone Sour and SlipKnoT.

I remember I listened to intervention by Arcade Fire while listening to Dh, that and How to save a Life by the Fray, they both seem kinda fitting.

I agree, that's a good song for the whole 'life moves on' theme of the end of DH.

I wasn't listening to music, but i was reading in a caravan (On holiday) So, i had to read in the living room, and the TV was on, there was an advert that had "Word Up - Cameo" On it, it was stuck in my head while i was reading.

I didn't listen to aynthing while reading, but my "DH song" would be "All I need" by Within Temptation.

Sometimes I listened to the Prisoner of Azkaban soundtrack. It was a nice touch.

The first time i read it, i didn't really have chance to listen to a song since i was reading it in bed by flashlight, but the other times i read it, mostly harry potter soundtracks. Theyre the only instrumental songs i like, or would actually listen to for leisure. I don't really like to listen to words while reading since my attention wont really be on the book, well, if im actually concentrating on the book anyways.

Well, I wasn't listening to any song while I was reading DH. However, when I finished, I'd keep listening to "Only Time" by Enya.

I didn't listen to any music the first time that I read DH, but I usually listen to my iPod when I read, and since it's a shuffle, I don't have any control over what I'm listening to. Usually there's a lot of Franz Ferdinand on there, though, so they probably came up a couple times in the course of the book :/

Mother Superior by Coheed and Cambria (an all acoustic version they did for some guitar company). I choked up every time I heard the lines..."You'll just say the worst of me, with a hope they'll understand, no they know you're just a boy, so grow up and be a man."

We where in the car, listening to Mika: Life in catroon motion. All those songs are now and forever HP songs :)

I was far too engrossed in the book to listen to any music, and even if there had been music playing I was probably concentrating too much on the book to even hear it. Like someone said, you need peace and quiet for all the excitement of the final book.

By the way, does anyone buy the soundtrack to listen to while reading? My mom borrowed it from the library when i tried to force her to read HP. She didn't anyways, so now I have to read HP in chinese with her.

I listened to four hours of the Cranberries, Greenday and Avril Lavigne. Nothing special, jjust what was [is] on my mp3. Why four hours? 'Cause that's when the batteries ran out =P

Same here! I can't focus on the words if something else is on.

I was in a hotel room in Spain. My iPod was in the car. So I listened to no music. Although I listened to Spanish news. I usually dont listen to music while reading though.

I was listening to Your Guardian Angel by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and Kryptonite by 3 Doors Down at the end of the book it just work so well. Probably when I watch the movie I'll be disappointed because it wont be those songs

odd, i listen to music as like background music kind of thing. HP is one of those rare exceptions when i don't listen to music while reading. Though now I do, though always instrumental, as opposed to pop and rock and country or whatever i feel like for other stuff.
