How Tall are You? Me, I'm 6 foot 5.
No that is not a typo I am 6' 5". I've all way been tall for my age.

You're 6 foot 5 at 13?? Dang. That sounds like my friend, Matthew! He just kept growing and growing, by the time we were in High School, he was about 6 foot 7 and still growing! I haven't seen him in a while, but I'm pretty sure he's bigger now. I'm about 5 foot 6 1/2....maybe 5 foot 7.

I have to say, I always thought I was way too tall for a girl until I started my job. Trying to fit a key into the top of the paper towel dispenser is no easy feat when it's a foot above my head!!

I'm short, 5' 3" maybe 5' 4" if I stand really straight. Thankfully, my whole school is very short because of a high percentage of people with Polish, German, Italian, and Irish ancestors (all are generally on the shorter side). There are guys that are older than me that are my height, and they play varsity basketball. The games are fun to see because it looks like a bunch of midgets darting around big, tall guys.

=/. i always knew there've been shorter people than me i guess i'm just imtimidated by everyone else at school. (everyone in grade 8 is 5'5 and above, CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!?!!)
As for the grade sevens(the only other grade they teach at my school)...i dunno...i have this theory that from1995 and onwards...people are either going to be really tall and mostly really short. i dunno if it's just the grade sevens at my school. but i have a felling that it's true cause i've other people who are born from 1995 and onwards and they're really short for their age.(sorry i took this off topic a little)

I grew alot in grade 7. I was 5' 8" when i went in to 7th grade. by the end of the year i was 6'2". Now im in 8th grade and grew 3 inchs over the summer

5'3" ...which was really short when I was living in Iowa... but is closer to average in Los Angeles (there's a lot of short people here)...

about 5'4- 5'5 im halfway between the short side of my family and the tall side. and i have normal feet size but share with any female family member coz its either 2 sizes 2 bigg or 2 small.

I'm fifteen and a Junior at my highschool, and I'm 5' 3 and a half.

I'm the tallest girl in my immediate family (sis, 16 1/2, is 5'3'', mom's 5'1). And so I'm just thinking to myself when were all standing together, "I'm so tall!"

But then I go out with my friends, who I swear, are all over 5'6 at the least, and they say "It's funny that your so short." :upset:

Right about 5'3 at the age of 19 ...with a younger brother who is a foot taller than me. I'm the shortest person in my immediate family, and there's very little chance I'm going to get any taller. Although there might be some hope. My best friend has actually grown an inch this past year, and she's 20, and from a short family.

As far as tall versus short: most of the guys I went to high school with were 6' or taller. The average height of the girls was probably 5'4. Major discrepancy, but at least the girls never had to worry about being taller than their dates, right? :)

*goes over to the people ive seen or "talked" to who are taller then me counter and puts up 1* wow. 6' 8" thats tall. anybody 6'1"+ is tall for any age. among my freinds(except 1 whos 6' 2" and 13) I really stand out. once I was in school, and the cops were there, and one asked me why I was here and said i couldnt be a teacher or a guest because i didnt have a name tag. It was so funny, i stood up and i was a foot taller then him. His reaction was so funny when I told him I was a student. Then once I got taken down to the police station because I was with a bunch of my freinds because im a foot taller then them. lol

I'm 5'1". I'm half Japanese so even if I'm pretty short in the U.S., it was nice to be able see over people's heads in Japan. But that was back in 1977 so I don't know how tall they are now.

The same way I was. My birthday is in late October, and my school let me start kindergarten when I was 4. So I was 11 in 7th grade until almost November.

i always thought that I was 5'8". i mean, that is the height that my dad has on his drivers license, and when I was sixteen I was the same height as him. However, seven years later I am now taller than he is, yet I know I haven't grown. I have a friend who is 5'9" and she is taller than I am. I also have a friend who joined the Marines. She is also taller than me by about an inch, and she was told by the Marines that she was 5'8", so we had an argument about how tall I really was.

So I guess I just really don't know. My mom tried measuring me once and I might actually be closer to 5'7". :P

I know!!!! the 7th graders in my school keep getting shorter especially the boys, pep rally was the other day and some of these boys could not have been taller then 4 ft if even, the 8and9 and some 10 graders are small but even kids in my grade are still tiny....I'm 5ft 5 inches

That's so weird, I have a similar theory. Well, not exactly a theory, but I think kids are shrinking.
Seriously, we have videos of myself and my sisters as kids. Comparing myself or my sister at 4 years old, we are nearly twice as tall as my cousin who is 4 now. In one video, I am 4 years old and my sister is 7...and both of us are taller than my little cousin is now who is 6 years old. In fact, my sister at 7 is bigger than my 10 year old cousin. :huh:
We weren't tall for our age at all, either. Actually, I was one of the short kids until about 4th grade. (Then I was the tallest until 6th grade when everyone passed me.)

Around 163cm...but your physical height wouldn't matter as long as you're good-natured, fair, etc etc. Both my parents have lamented on how short I am, especially when my female cousins on my dad's side are both 167-170cm. Yet, I'm healthy and that's all I'm after now.

Well, I think I've posted here before, but I'll post here again. I got measured today, and I've grown quite a bit. I'm 6'2" and 3/4 of an inch. Almost 6'3"! ;D

A bit over 5', but not quite 5'1". I was always the shortest, or one of the shortest in my class. Except in 3rd grade, there was a set of triplet girls in my class. They'd been preemies, and were still small at age age 8. Even I, at 3'11", was taller than them by a few inches. My nephew is 4 1/2. He's as tall as I was when I was 7. Wears the shoe size I wore when I was 8. I stopped growing by age 14. I wear the same shoe size I did when I was 11.

I feel your pain. I'm about 5' (although I round up to 5'1 :p). today at work I was trying to reach something and couldn't even get it with a ladder.. so annoying!

That's reasonably tall, but not "very" tall. Nonetheless, it makes for a slightly difficult life. Everything is made for shorter people, it seems - under 6' tall. Faucets and things are always down around my knees (well.. almost), and I have to bend over to reach everything. It's rough on the lower back! Finding a car that's comfortable but not a huge gas guzzler is also a challenge.
I used to visit a friend at his parents house, right in the foyer they had a little chandelier type light hanging from the ceiling, and I used to bonk my head on that thing all the time.
I'd tell him, "C"mon, will you move that thing up some?! I'm not Andre the Giant or anything here!!"

5 "4" and wishing i was taller but i am well beyond the "lenghtening years" now. guess i only have to wait for the "broadening years" to come.

5'1"....Its not fun being short. Most of the time, anyway.

5' 11". Taller than most people I know, which can be an advantage. A lot of people think they're taller, but they find out they're wrong when we stand back to back...

And to SneakyDragon...being tall isn't all it's cracked up to be. Trust me. It can be really awkward. Plus it makes clothes shopping difficult...

I am 5'5 and a half. My two best friends at school are also 5'5 and a half... haha.

I am 6' 2" or 6' 3", which is rather odd as both of my parents are rather small and I'm Asian. I have two friends in my class who are taller though, so I don't feel out of place.

i have scoliosis, and after my surgery it was expected i'd grow - i've read about people growing 6 inches and whatnot.

What sucks about bwing tall, well, a lot of things. For me, my bones always hurt, which is because of a number of things, I'm growing all the time, I was born with faulty joints, etc.
