OK, I couldn't find this when I searched, and for that matter I don't know if there are any other HP fans who like Carrie, but, I wanted to see.
This thread will be for anyone who Likes Carrie Underwood. I just can't believe how far she's come, she's basically the "Harry potter" of the country world!
You can discuss any Carrie- related things here, or compare her to other artists, (country is good, but if not, heck throw them in here any ways!) If you don't know who Carrie Underwood is, well, she's the American Idol winner for season 4!

I like Carrie. I'm not a huge country fan, but some of her songs are really good, especially Before He Cheats. I'm glad to see that she's so sucessful after winning American Idol; the only other winner who's been this popular is Kelly Clarkson. The others have slunk into the darkness of the D-list.

Yea, she's catching up to Kelly too! Daughtry is right behind her. I like before he cheats too! I think the reason she's so big is she can be played on Country, pop and rock stations, she's got a big audience!

I've been a Carrie fan ever since American Idol :) I remember seeing her audition on TV and I just knew that she would go far. I can't wait for the new album!

Yeah, Carrie rocks! I'm so happy that she's had success. I agree that most of the Idol winners don't get recognized, even the runners-up. Daughtry is getting some publicity, which is good. However, Carrie, Kelly Clarkson, and Kellie Pickler are the ones you hear of the most.

Myself and my daughter just love the song and the video Before He Cheats. She loves to sing along and she is only four and for the most part knows most of the words.

I agree. I love a lot of the songs on it. My favorite one has to be "Flat on the Floor" because it's just so cool.

I usually hate country, but I absolutely love carrie!!!!! She is really talented, and her music has a sort of pop-ish (if thats a word :D) touch to it. did you know she has a new cd? it came out a few days ago. its callled carnival ride and i've been looking up the songs on youtube and listening 24/7

Me too. I like the message that it implies that some things seem so small, but as long as you have love in your life, things seem better than you first think.

So small is a great song I also love Flat on the floor! it's got a good beat that gets stuck in your head haha! The one thing that confused me is that the albus is named "Carnival Ride" yet there isn't a song called carnival Ride?!?! hmmm. i know she as that quote about life being a Carnival Ride, but IDK! it must mean something to her. Any Ideas?

I finally got to hear Carnival Ride about a week ago, and I will have to say that my initial impression was that I don't like it quite as well as Some Hearts. I was a big Carrie fan during American Idol Season 4, and I really still love her music. I haven't had much chance since I first heard the album to listen to it again so maybe I should give it another go before I pass final judgment. :)

Carrie is a really talented singer, and her music is really good, despite being country. Not that i have anything against country, but i just don't like it as much.

I'm not her biggest fan but I definately love some of her songs. Especially Don't forget to remember me and I ain't in Checotah. I still haven't heard anything from her Carnival Ride but let's say the album is...on it's way...into my computer hehe :lol:

For the Carnival Ride thing, she has a quote in her song "Wheel of the World" that says, "God put us here on this carnival ride."

It's the same thing with Sugarland's new album. It was called Enjoy the Ride, but there wasn't a song called that. On their first album, they did have a song called Twice the Speed of Life, which was what the album was titled.

I never really understood these things, its no wonder i couldnt find the song carnival ride.

It's a very good album. I enjoy listening to most of the songs. There are at least three songs that I don't really like right now.

I think she has a great voice and can hold some notes for a long time. Have you heard her song "Ever Ever After" from Enchanted? She did a good job on that one.

Every album will have it's ups and downs. I think she'll do even better on this one, now that everybody had heard her name!

Ever Ever After was really good. Most people can not hold notes for sooooooo long, or do what carrie underwood does with her voice. I know i sure can't :lol:. :rockon:

Yeah, I wouldn't be able to hold a note as long as she does. She is very talented and a great singer. I will always enjoy her music because it's great to listen to and sing along with.

I finally got her new cd, carnival ride. I think some hearts was better, but its still amazing! I love Wheel of the World and So Small.

I'm listening to Just a Dream right now. It's sooooo sad!!!! the first time i listened to it, i almost cried.

I asked for Carnival ride for Xmas.

Carrie was my favorite on American Idol. I was thrilled when she won. I haven't had a chance to get much of her music though. I like 'Some Hearts' and 'Before He Cheats'. I just watched the video for 'Before He Cheats' today. I liked it. I was thinking they should have shown her beating up the truck more and they guy freaking out when he see it or something, and then her smiling as she walks away. I liked it anyway.

i dont really watch the music videos, but i love her songs, especially so small.

...American idol starts tonight (for those of us in the US) Maybe we'll be able to spot the next Carrie in try outs...when she auditioned we called it, my mom and I. We both knew the moment she opened her mouth that she was the winner that year! it was brilliant!

I don't know if I've spotted the next carrie underwood, but theyre ok so far. Carrie just has a really lovely voice and I bet lots of of people across the US just knew she was the next winner :D. Oh yeah, did you see the guy who was just like two people ahead of her when she auditioned? that was weird for me seeing her in the line and stuff. So used to her being a star now!

Ok Carly, Brooke, David Cook, and David Archuleta are the best talent this year!!!
I think David cook and Carly have got the best chance, i don't want david to win though because they won't let him put out a rock album. he needs to come in 4th like Daughtry! Or 3rd!

I finally got to see her in concert a couple of weeks ago! We drove about an hour away to see her but it was well worth it!! She's a little racy for a country star, but she was so pretty, and gave an amazing show! Yay!

Still remember when she sang "Angels brought me here" at the Finale of season 4....God,she was amazing!

Every time i see her i'm like gosh, she's pretty. haha

Carrie Underwood is a very talented musician. What appeals to me most about her (and Taylor Swift also) is that her ability make songs fit into both the country and pop genres brings more fans into a genre that is seriously lacking them right now. I know country music isn't very popular but people like Carrie Underwood really bring more attention to it.

Why is it not a single guy has posted here? :whistle:

That video is soo sad, believe it or not it makes me cry :upset: She puts on a great performance too. That was actually believable, much like Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland in "Stay". I don't think the emotion in either of those videos seems "fakey" :tu:

I love Carrie, she's such a great artist. My favourite songs of hers would be Before he Cheats, Jesus Take the Wheel, and Don't Forget to Remember Me (fave music vid: Before he Cheats).

Well, Carrie Underwood's new song, Cowboy Casanova is currently on the radio. I love Carrie, but I kinda hate this song. :relax: These types of songs don't suit her voice best, IMO. Better to stick to songs like Jesus Take the Wheel. Although she CAN sing just about anything well

Don't get me wrong, "Before He Cheats" and "Last Name" were both great...but she's done enough of these loud rockish type songs and this latest one is just no good, IMO. She's got such an amazing and sweet voice and it's a shame when it's wasted on a bad song like that. :sigh:

I hope to hear more from her like for ex. "Inside Your Heaven" and "Just a Dream" (except this one really makes my cry) in the future :tu:

Carrie Underwood has an AMAZING voice....seriously.., it's really remarkable, and she could sing any song beautifully. I like "Cowboy Cassanova", but I agree with lcbaseball22 that she should do some slower songs... her voice really takes off on those songs, I think.

That songs awesome. I've been listening to a couple of her Christmas songs and that's probably my favourite, Hark the Herald Angels Sing and the First Noel are great as well.

I like a couple of Carrie Underwood songs, I don't listen to he too often but the songs I do listen are great. My favourites are Just a Dream and All-American Girl.

And I agree lcbaseball22 she is smoking hot.
