Sean Kingston

So, I don't know about you guys, but I'm pretty excited about the music of Sean Kingston - his songs are a lot of fun, and they make great dance music, from "Beautiful Girls" (which has been a huge hit here in GA), to other songs. My favorite is "Got No Shorty," which, I have to say - captured my attention when it started with the theme to Phantom of the Opera. Of course, "Beautiful Girls" has includes music from Ben King's "Stand By Me," and some of his other songs also include sound bites from other music.
So...what do you guys think of Sean Kingston?

I am NOT a HUGE fan of rap and hip-hop, but when my friend played beautiful girls for me, I started liking Sean Kingston. I haven't heard any of his other songs, though. :rockon:

Same as Manisa, I don't really like rap but his stuff is pretty good, I think it's because he looks so happy in the video unlike most others.

As above, hip-hop isn't really my thing. But I do quite like Sean Kingston's sound. I like Beautiful Girls, mainly because of the "Stand By Me" sample playing in the background. It's a beautiful song.

I pretty much agree with everyone else here. I'm not a huge fan of Hip Hop and R&B but I really love "Beautiful Girls" - it's catchy! :rockon:

Honestly, Sean Kingston is not what I'd call my cup of tea.

He was on HOT97 (the illest hip-hop/R&B station in NYC) and was being interviewed by Angie Martinez who's known to really grill her guests on her show, and she kept bothering him about singing something for the show, and he kept on saying, naw naw, but finally he did..

And let me tell you, there was nothing "beautiful" about his rendition of his own song "Beautiful Girl."

I think he's more of a one-hit-wonder kinda guy, if you know what I mean.

It's possible, but I really do enjoy some of his other songs on the album.
"Got No Shorty" is a lot of fun, and it is SUCH a great song to dance to (the beat is fantastic). "Me Love" is a good song to sing, and my roomies love it tons. Of course, I also think his "I Can Feel It," which is partnered with Phil Collins, sounds amazing.

I've only heard, "beautiful girls" and "me love" and i love them both. I listen to them over and over on my phone!

I'm trying to remember what song I've heard from him. It was overplayed and one of his new ones, but I loved it.
