Discussion of the Cancer star sign.

It is said that people who are born under Cancer are:

thought to have a kind, emotional, romantic, imaginative, sympathetic, nurturing, and intuitive character. I am Cancer (July 10th) and I must agree with you! It says Romantic? Nope not me...

Nowhere does it say "Shy and creative"... because that is me!

I'm a Cancer (unlucky July 13th!), and I was amazed when I first read my description a couple of years ago, because it IS me! I'm a hopeless romantic, sometimes I'll be warm and soft and other times I'll be really moody!

I am a Cancer-Leo, born in a cusp, but I must say a majority of those traits reflect in a very accurate way how I am.
The only point in there I see is way off is the "Patriotic" one.

I'm a cancerian (July 15). Super emotional, very domestic, very maternal (my friends nick named me mum). And I'm also very, very, very moody. I have a foul temper when I get going. I think the only thing I'm not is patriotic.

I'm not sympathetic, at all! Ahah. I usually laugh. But if it's a big problem, then of course I offer comfort. :) I'm not that mean!

I'm a Cancer(June 30th) and really, I don't find most of those traits to be anything like me. Only ones like me would be emotional(got that from my mum), imaginative, protective, retentive, a bit self-contained but not much, and warm. I'll admit I'm a bit moody and can be quite crabby in the mornings, though.

For the House horoscope, it would be Gryffindor and Ravenclaw. I find that I am quite loyal to my friends and close family and most definitely dream big. Also, I find myself to daydream quite often when I can and I am very very closely drawn to Astrology, and defend it every time someone calls it boring because I find it quite intriguing and interesting. I also used to collect rocks when I was younger.

I'm a Cancerian - June 26. The only thing I dislike about it is that the name reminds me of the disease.
I would say most of the Cancerian attributes fit me fairly well, though they don't describe me 100% of course. But that's not the point anyway, especially if you believe in all the other "mancys" and "ologys" too; two cancers born on the same day in the same hour will still have subtle differences due to their names (Numerology/Arithmancy, etc..), their heads (Phrenology), their hands (Cheiromancy aka Palmistry), plus, among other such systems, the plain old common sense fact that they're two different people. ;)

Has anyone read "The Darkside Zodiac" ? Its a humorous sarcastic book that focuses solely on the negative attributes for all signs. It's kinda scary, in a brutally honest way. It's impossible to put down once you've started reading it.

I'm a Cancer (June 30th) and I think the majority of those qualities are really true. All except romantic, over-protective, touchy, crabby, patriotic or self-contained. And I'm not prone to ANY of what they said I'm supposed to be prone to, aha.

I am a Cancer (June 22nd) and a lot of those are dead on for me! I am very sensitive and touchy. I'm also very shy at times and it takes time for me to warm up to people. I stay in my shell until I am comfortable enough to come out. We are also known to be very good kissers. I am also very imaginative and creative and that side of me definitely comes out in my writing.

Reading this over again, I'm thinking.. wow..what did I disagree with before? It's scary close, for me.

I'd add one thing - Defensive. Sometimes, even callous, because that callousness is a defensive mechanism to protect the soft insides - it's why we have that hard outer shell, too.

I'm sure my legs will wind up on someone's dinner plate eventually, though. :lol:

I am Cancer and proud of it. And I fit the discriptions that was posted. I am shy until you get to know me. I fit into Hufflepuff, because I like to stay in the background and help out. I wouldn't fit in with the Slug Club. Since Dudley's birthday is the end of June, is he also a Cancer? no wonder he is overweight. We Cancer people have such a sweet tooth and we don't excercise much cause we don't like to get sweaty.

All of this fits me, like for one I tend to be very touchy when someone says/does something stupid, and It'll set me off. The only thing that doesn't fit is the maternal part. I'm far from it.

Some of 'em are like me.
I always find it amusing reading the word "crabby" when describing Cancer. Given that the sign is a crab. But the moody and crabby sound like me when I am in a bad mood. Things like "imaginative" are spot on. But the family thing is well out there for me. Love my family but not that close with them all. My friends are kind of my extended family. I spend most of my time round my best friends house with her family. Who, funnily enough have the same family dynamic as the Weasleys. :) (parents, 7 children, 3 eldest, two twins, then two youngest) I'm quite loud and bossy, those aren't really included.....

I'm a Cancer, and most attributes I have ever read about the sign - both good and bad - are eerily dead on. It really makes you think, doesn't it?

I sometimes have a hard time letting htings go, like paper. I keep copies of old bills, bank statements, pay stubs, some of it is useless, but I can't let it go.
