Well, it seems wedges went all the way out, but that's okay, they're still comfortable. Boots, flats, pumps, heels... sneakers? From Ferragamo to Jordans, what is THE shoe to you?

Also, I need new boots. Can someone recommend a pair please?

II like sneakers, flip-flops, flats...shoe shopping is one of my favorite things!! I own 6 pairs of Old Navy flip-flops. They are exactly the same only different colors. :blush:

Right now my favorite pair of shoes are flats from American Eagle. They are canvas and have flower print on them with a brown bow on the side. :D

Actually, my casual friends don't even know I love shoes. I just wear my Converse every day, or a pair of flats. But that's because my school is longer than two football fields, and I can't wear any other types of shoes! :grumble:

I'm waiting for it to get cold enough to buy my fall boots! I live in Texas, outside of Dallas, and it was 90 degrees today. Blegh! I'm touring a college this Saturday also, and it's only supposed to be 81 degrees. I am in shock.

But anyway's, the boots I will be buying are a pair of grey suede, piratish/jedi-ish/elvish from Steve Madden. They're really cute, and they don't have a heel! Woohoo for flat boots!

But the boots I recommend for you are...

NOT UGGS!

They may be comfortable, but they are just... I don't know. I don't care if the shoe is really comfortable, if it's ugly, don't wear it! This is what I say everytime I see someone wearing Crocs, and they're over the age of 8.

Oh no, I would never buy Uggs or Crocs. I'm sorry, I should have been much more clear in what I'm looking for. I want Manolo boots, but they're too expensive considering I wouldn't wear them very often at all. I'm not in love with the boot look, I just need a new pair for those days when only a boot will do.

Well, I was going to suggest Crocs. :p I mostly wear them to work at the hospital. Being on your feet all day and having to run from patient to patient, can get really tiring on the feet. I don't even care about fashion or "prettiness" when I go work there. I just want comfort. :D

Even though I love UGGs (:D) since you aren't charmed by them I would advice Calvin Klein leather boots.

A US chain called DSW has brand shoes at good prices too and they have lots of boots. Some of the Steve Madden ones are very cute also! Since I'm in Europe I don't think you could get your hand on LeCoq sportif shoes, but they're also cute. Very sporty.

Sorry, YellowPoofBall, I don't think I can really help you with the boots. I just go out and find shoes and buy them if I like them. Not much planning actually goes into my shopping. I'm a bit too lazy for that.

Those are my shoes!!!!!!!!!! I love them soooooo mcuh!!! They're so comfortable. I only got mine in April or March, but already they look like I've had them for years. And the best part: NO LACES!!!!! My old pair of shoes, well I got lazy, and stopped tying them, and I think I went for nearly 9 months without tying them.

I have Rocket dog flats with the union jack all over it and a little charm crown... I love flats, they're all so cute and since I'm tall I don't need heels :)

I have a lovely pair of silver rocket dogs I think they are so cool. I have to thank my 12 year old sister for finding them she is my Fashion guru. The shoes I would :love: to have are a pair of Manolo Blahnik Mary Janes (hello Lover) :drool: or a pair of Christian LaBoutain Killer Heels but as I am poor and not megarich these are just pipe dreams. I love how Christian Louboutin's shoes have red soles. I don't know, it's just so...I don't know. But it makes the colors of the shoes stand out.

I was watching Desperate Housewives, and it was an episode which involved bridesmaid's dresses. Well, anyways, they all took off their matching shoes (which were so gorgous), and sat down, and all I could do was look at the shoes and go "Christian Louboutin! Christian Louboutin!" I was just very giggly for some reason. No idea why. It just made me laugh. :D

I love the red soles of Christian Louboutin shoes too, they are just so distinct (I spotted some on a tv show the other day too!). I'm absolutely in love with a pair of his peep-toe, platform Mary Janes right now. If I had hundreds of dollars to spend on shoes just now they would so be mine! :lol:

Hmm, I have lots of shoes...I have quite a few pairs of Vans, a few pairs of different styles of Uggs (they're comfortable...and no bright colors), one pair of bright blue and black DC's...lots of the 2 for $5 Old Navy flip flops...and some other random pairs of sneakers from different brands...I don't do dressy. :p I don't even own flats, even though some of them don't look half-bad. I bought a pair of gray New Balance sneakers (the smallish-looking kind) before school started to wear for gym and maybe for other things if they matched...my sneakers didn't get messed up last year for gym, so I thought that that would be fine...lo and behold, I got first period gym...they now have gross brown stains all over them, because it's so wet out...I swear one day I thought that I had puddles in my shoes after walking around the soccer field. So yeah, the idea of wearing them outside of gym is now dead and buried. :sigh: I liked those shoes, too...

... I have one pair of shoes... that's it.. its all I need.. I don't even have boots (though, you'd think I'd need them, living in Canada) ..
Anywho.. I wear black hi-top converse shoes ^^;; (I'm hoping to get them in pink plaid soon)

Sneakers-wise, I wear colorful converse in the fall, and violet puma flippers in the winter.

Shoes-Shoes-wise, ballet flats are my calling, as are flip flops, winter boots, rainboots, and on occasion, high heels. I kinda fail miserbly in stilletos, but Nine West has some comfy and cute high heels with a short-kinda-stilleto-heel, that I can actually walk/dance/fly in! Hooray for Nine West! Hooray for Harry Potter!

Shoes in my collection:

1. UGGs - black pair and chestnut pair of classics
2. Flats - 3 pairs of black flats, one white pair, one pair with the union flag all over it
3. Sneakers - Skechers in black, beige, and blue
4. Formal - one pair of white slippers, one simple black pair with thick heels, one black pair that I've never worn (:blush: I bought them in a time of crisis before I saw the perfect pair)
5. Slippers/flip flop esque things without the toe thingy so inside step-inners - one black pair and one white pair

It's not that much, but it gets me through the seasons. :)

I love my flip-flops. Old Navy flip-flops are THE most comfortable flip flops in the world. And they're priced nicely. :D

I found a picture of myself when I was five, which I haven't looked at in years, and I saw that I was wearing the most amazing shoes. I wish I stil had them. They look like they ones you have pictured, but with a shorter heel and instead of leather...creme-colored satin. :love:

I recently bought a pair of nice coach flats that I really like and I also have some silver flip flops that I love. Other than that I have like one pair of wedges and a couple of other shoes and that is about it.
I sometimes share shoes w/ my mom but since we aren't the same size it's actually hard for us to share.

personally i can't stand ugg, ugg look alikes or crocs...i love boots though and i love flat boots the most, heels and wedges are great and so much fun but you can't beat a pair of flat boots that fit like slippers

Does anyone know anywhere that makes nice, mid-height heels? And what kind of heels look good? I've never worn heels before, but I've decided I'm sick of being called short haha. I'm not very good at walking in them, so I only want small ones about an inch or two high, preferably with a strap sort of thing to keep them on my feet hehe. I always wear flats or boots so don't know what type of heels to go for.

I don't know about you, but where I am it is currently much too cold to wear heels, so they are harder to find in stores. And probably not that safe either! :lol: Many places make really nice boots with heels, that are more practical for colder weather. they're cute and i love betsy johnson but they're not quite my type, i like a more simple pare with a single thin strap across instead of the thick criss-crossing straps on these. but i know my cousin would die for these shoes.

Wow. Genius thread...I've become a bit of shoe girl myself. My favourite brand would have to be RMK. The leather they use is just beyond beautiful. I have a pair of leather knee high boots on lay-by...can't wait til I can get them!

I'm a fan of peep toes, especially if they're unusual ones like my ones with the buckles. Don't mind nike shoes...I find they're good for aerobics but I've found Assics are the best trainers to buy. I'm loving some of the latest shoes...so comfy, especially the ankle boots - they're just so cute and gorgeous!

Like most girls, I love shoes! It's a shame that my feet are really wide and size 8-9 because I find it difficult to find ones that fit. My favourite brand of shoes at the moment is Rocketdog because they do really cute flat pump shoes. I love going to New Look for heels as they've always got hundreds and they're really cheap!

OMG! I :love: shoes! I am seriously addicted, half of my closet space is taken up by shoes. At last count I had around 50 pairs :blush: It's now probably 50/50 heels to flats. Usually I walk better in heels than flats, which is odd. I have a huge variety in colors, I like to buy bright colors to wear with black or white shirts just to add a little bit of pop.

I just bought a really cute pair of bright turquoise ballet flats. They really are ballet flats. The elastic around the ankle is very reminiscent of pointe shoes. I love them to death.

I love heels but I can only walk in them if they have think heels, and all the prettiest ones seem to be stilettos. I bought a pair of black patent Mary-Janes the other day though which are really nice and I can walk in.

1 pair babycham trainers
1 pair of Nikes (for the gym)
2 pairs of kitten heels (1 black, one red)

I got my dad's wide feet. :grumble: But I've found that wider feet tend to look really good in chunky wedge heels. :eyebrows:;)

I know stilettos can be a real pain for some, but I just can't live without them! I recently got a pair of pointy red shoes with wooden heels and I can't get enough of them. I love flats as much as high heels - some of my favorites are the ones I got from India, and two very comfy ones, which I wear all the time, from Hollister and American Eagle.

Gah, I have one pair of heels in my shoe collection and Ive worn them once for a wedding. I was babysitting my nephew (who was just learning to walk) so I spent the majority of the reception chasing the monster around the dance hall in these 3 1/2 inch heels and a dress that was way shorter than I'm use too. It was just above the knee but still, when you're a jeans girl you really take for granted how easy it is to sit comfortably and not worry about giving the whole room a show.

Anyway, shoes! I love flats! I have tons of flats. My favorites are a pair of Vera Wang's. They were majorly on sale and they are so cute I had to splurge and get them. They go with everything :p But generally I wear a pair of red Hush Puppies that go with alot of things and are a nice pop of color in most outfits.

Can I just say how much I don't like shopping for shoes during the winter? I'm not really a boot wearing girl and that's all that seems to be out there right now. I also want to find a good pair of black mary-jane heels that don't look funny on my feet. It's been proving a difficult task.

Everyday I see shoes that I wish I could afford! flats, heels, boots, and slippers! :lol: my favourite pair of shoes are teal knit heels with a wooden bottom. they also have those strappy laces that go up your legs, but i just wrap them around my ankles for support.

I just bought this really cute, black winter boots that come up to my knee. I love them! I'm trying to find black or read converse, but I can't find them! I got the boots from Amazon so I'll probably try to find it there. Converse are just so awesome! Warning though for people who want to buy converse shoes. Do not buy them from Target. They look so cheep and you can find better ones somewhere else.

I have big, flat, narrow feet so generally the only shoes that fir me are Converse and some Macbeths. I have 2 pairs of heels but wear them so rarely because
1. I'm tall
2. I'm afraid of breaking my leg lol

I got mine in South Australia so I'm certain you'd be able to find some in Canada :p you can get some more Chuck Taylors style too.

I love going barefoot in summer as well :)

But seeing as it is winter where I am, my footsies all are wrapped up and snug in thick woollen socks!

I love my Chucks I have many pairs.

I hate heels, I cant walk in them. That and I am extremely clumsy.

I like your zebra converse :) I hate heels too. I'm tall enough already and find flats more comfortable.

My favourite pair of chucks must be really rare I think. They look like this (http://www.comparestoreprices.co.uk/images/co/converse-mens-all-starandreg-red-hi.gif) but everything that's white (beside laces) is black and it has a black "All Stars" stencil on the side... they are super awesome if I do say so myself :D Never seen them sold anywhere (not even where I got them originally), on the internet or anyone else who owns them :)

I have 3 pairs of shoes I wear regularly :lol: A pair of New Balance athletic shoes for work, a pair of brick red Hush Puppy flats, and a pair of black flip flops. I have a few heels and and such in my closet but I wear them maybe once a year or so.

:lol: I only have 2 I wear regularly. I pair of black flats I wear for work and some DC trainers I wear the rest of the time. I bought some flip-flops yesterday though that are quite pretty and comfy for flip-flops

The only shoes I wear regularly are my back shoes for work and any pair of flip-flops I can find. :lol: Usually it is my black and pink plaid Roxy pair or my brown American Eagle pair. I practically live in flip-flops!

And I don't really like wearing heels. Way too uncomfortable for my liking, but I will wear them on occasion.

I went through my wardrobe and got rid of all the shoes I didn't wear. So now I'm down to about 10 pairs. But most of them are winter shoes! I need to buy me some summer ones :)

My shoe of choice for the last ten years has been low-top Converse all stars. I've owned them in black, black on black, periwinkle blue, navy blue, red, and pink.

I also absolutely love my pair of 20-eye vegan combat boots (steel toe). I love wearing them to concerts. ^_^

I personally prefer to be barefoot, but I do have a navy pair of DMs coming in the next couple of weeks, and I also love Converse. Flipflops for summer if I'm somewhere I need shoes. I loathe working in summer because I have to wear proper shoes, and if my feet get warm I get panicky

I'm the opposite! I have one pair of boots for the winter... otherwise I have all summery shoes! If I could, I would live in my brown Rainbow or black Teva sandals. And maybe for a classier look, black peep-toe flats. Ugh, none of them are winter worthy! When I lived in Seattle... all I wore were my one pair of brown boots or my running shoes. :rolleyes:

I love them all, to cowboy boots to high heeled booties. When I'm older i'm going to have a closet only for boots.

And being 5'3 and all, I love anything with heels. Heels make me feel better about my self.

I adore stilettos..I am not even 5 foot tall. At my high school graduation years ago, I wore 7 inch stilettos and everyone was amazed. I rarely wear heels anymore, although I have about 11 pairs.
Aside from stilettos, I love Nike. I have 3 pairs of Jordans (2 pairs are limited edition), 4 pairs of Dukes(also have 2 limited editions) (air force 1s) , Air Maxs, and A2's (Air force 2) limited edition.
Also have Ugg boots...I LOVE them, especially in the cold Wisconsin winters! A pair of Timberland boots-which I adore, gladiator sandals, fur filled clogs (3 pair, brown, black, tan), flip flops(10 pairs), ankle cut suede black zip-up boots, and a pair of Pumas. I wear a size 3 1/2 in girls, so shoes come easy! All my heels, except my peep toes, have toilet paper in the toe because I have to buy a 5-5 1/2 in them-making them toooo big!Phew!

Can anyone spare any tips for wearing heels? I have zero arch in my foot, terrible balance, and sadly am only 5 foot 5. I want to wear heels so badly, but they kill my feet, and I can barely wear wedges without wobbling dangerously. :(

Standing at only 4'11" heels are a staple in my outfits. Peep toe pumps are my favorite, as are wedges.

I love T-strap sandals in the summer. I love that they look more polished than regular flip-flops, so they can be dressed up or down.

For more practical occasions, I love Sperry boat shoes. They're SO comfortable- perfect for walking across campus! lol

I just got a brand new pair of White Converse delivered today, but I already got grass stains on them after like one hour of wearing. What can I do to get the stains out? -.-

i use white shoe paint to paint over the stains on my canvas shoes but then again i really like the worn out look in comparison to the brand new look.
