It makes me to try and imagine the colours, for some reason. stargazer608 October 14th, 2007, 5:02 am My interpretation of Ron & Hermione!! http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/4877/ronhermionexv2.jpg Hope you all like it! Comments are welcome. :) Nice. It looks like a wood block print or a linoleum print. Ever tried printmaking? My avatar is a portrait I painted of my brother in-law. It's oil on canvas and actually a pretty big painting. stargazer608 October 16th, 2007, 1:33 am Please post your HP art in Magical Masterpieces. :) Woops sorry, OK! Comments are welcome. :) http://geocities.com/canis_est_in_via_dormit/Faye.JPG It looks like you "drew" it with a gouge on linoleum (or similar substance) or possibly a wood block. The basic drawing is well proportioned, and the composition is acceptable. Now that you've experimented with this technique, what is your opinion of it? Are you interested in continuing to develop this direction or not? HarryJPotter February 18th, 2008, 6:16 am I really like the Ron and Hermione cartoon. I love the color, it's bright, it's fun, it makes them come alive. The other drawing though, the only problem I see with it is detail. The lack of it in the face is fine, it's an interesting concept, I really enjoy the lack of shadow, it makes it look really sketchy, but really cool. The problem I see is the lack of shadow in the face isn't consistent in the enormous amount of detail and darkness in the hair. It's not fluent enough, I think if you're going to go with that style, get rid of some of the darkness in the hair, it'd make the drawing flow better. guad February 29th, 2008, 9:39 am I like the first portraits style. Simple but effective :) SnowyOwl36 March 24th, 2008, 12:08 pm Nice...I like the way you did the eyes! :tu: |
