They are probably my favorite band. They are just amazing. Their music is so beautiful and inspiring.
I think they are working on a new album at the moment.

LilyDreamsOn October 27th, 2007, 3:44 am I love them. :) I first heard about them last summer, and I got really attached to them for a while, and now when I listen to them I always get a wee bit nostalgic. Their songs have that feel to them, I find.

I'd have to say Takk - it's the only one I own. It's amazing, though.
Do you have a favorite song?
Either Hoppipolla or Saeglopur.
I've never seen them live, or seen one of their music videos, but now I'm very tempted to look up their videos. If ever they tour near me I'll be sure to go, though!
A great friend of mine is Icelandic, and so he always explains to me what the songs mean, and it makes me appreciate them all the more. :)

I love them all, I can't pick....Maybe Takk the most though, not sure, it really depends on my mood.

I have so many, but If I had to pick 1 I'd go with untitled #1 because it was the first SR song I fell in love with.
Other favorites are Hoppípolla, Untitled #3 & #4, Svefn g englar, Staralfur, Agaetis byrjun, Glósóli, Saeglopur...
Seen them live?
Yes, I saw them in Chicago in 05'. It was amazing!!!

Staralfur. It's beautiful but sad-sounding all at once (I don't understand the language, it's a bit of a drawback).

No, sadly. But I've heard of someone who apparently followed them across Iceland on tour making a documentary. I'd love to find that.

I can listen to their songs pretty much all the time, and regardless of what feeling I may be experiencing, they can set me at ease. I love nothing more than listening to them in the solace of my room at 3 a.m.

No, they have never ventured here. :( It is my dream to one day see them play in Reykjavik sometime; I've watched videos of them on youtube, and it seems like it would be such an incredible experience to see them live. :)

I honestly think it was quite possibly one of the most incredible musical experiences I have ever been fortunate enough to witness. There music is so much more than mere noise and it was a genuinely emotional and moving experience
There new album will be released soon and is on there website for streaming. I think it is lovely. :) "All Alright" is an especially interesting track since it is there first one sung in English. Jonsi was near in tears when he sang it...I couldn't help but want to run up on stage and hug him. Well, I would want to run up on stage anyway, but this was just extra incentive. :p
