osuginny October 26th, 2007, 11:33 pm Did anyone else watch Legally Blonde: The Musical on MTV a few weeks ago, or have you seen it live?
I thought it was really cool that MTV actually showed it on tv. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but it was such a cute, fun musical. I downloaded the soundtrack and I've been listening to it nonstop and the songs are stuck in my head constantly.
I was also very impressed by Laura Bell Bundy. She has a great voice, and I think her Elle was actually more likeable than Reese Witherspoon's movie version.
silverpalm October 28th, 2007, 4:17 am I saw it on MTV and it was great! I'm actually going to New York soon but I don't think there'll be enough time to fit seeing it in, but I'd love to. It was so cute. The movie has always been a "I-hate-to-admit-that-I-adore-this-but-whatever" thing. And I was skeptical when I first heard they were making a stage adaptation but it turned out really nice. I don't think I could pick between Reese and Laura's versions of Elle, though. They're both good for different reasons.
I'm definitely buying the soundtrack soon. Oh! And Emmett is ADORABLE
sunshinehannah November 11th, 2007, 5:54 pm I didn't see it :( It's really cool that they've turned the film into a musical though, cause it's a really great movie. I can't wait till it comes over here so I can see it :D
WilliQ February 23rd, 2008, 3:22 am I loved it, even more than the movie!
My favorite part is when she sings Legally Blonde.
I can't find the soundtrack.
musicluvr February 23rd, 2008, 5:34 pm that musical was awesome, all the sets were so perfect.
Oh and Emmet was just about as adorable as he could get :)
Flameow July 31st, 2008, 10:33 pm I saw it on MTV and the only bad thing about the performance was the audience. They just wouldn't keep quiet, I think that very few of them had actually been to a musical and the rest of them treated it like a concert, constantly cheering and screaming at the worst times. I'd much rather go and see it for myself, and hope that the audience is a lot more civil.
AccioHP July 31st, 2008, 10:38 pm I saw it live with Laura Bell Bundy as Elle.
It was such a great show. The sets are awesome, the music and dancing are awesome and it is really funny as well. If you're a fan of the movie you'd definitely love the play.
I also saw the MTV broadcast of the show.
And then the MTV show that was trying to find the next Elle Woods.
I really want to see it with the new girl (I won't say her name in case anyone is still watching the show or didn't find out yet.)
boushh August 23rd, 2008, 7:45 pm This musical is awesome. It's such a great time. I saw it with the original cast a few times even. So it was good enough that I went back. :) I like it a lot more than the movie because it fleshes out the characters and the story. It has great songs and great choreography.
I highly recommend this very high energy show who wants to have a fun time at a Broadway show! :tu:
Amivera July 21st, 2009, 3:05 pm I judged early and thought it would be absolutely horrible, but it was fantastic! The songs were really catchy and the energy was high. I loved it, haha. : D
1BellaLestrange January 28th, 2011, 2:35 am My second favorite musical! I saw it on MTV who knows how many times and saw it live twice with my mom and sister last year. I love the songs and everything about the show. -Snaps!-
ILuvDarkMarks February 21st, 2011, 3:46 am I'll admit that when I first heard they were turning this into a musical I was apprehensive. But my friend saw it on MTV and all it took was one listen of "Omigod You Guys!" and I was hooked. The songs are so cleverly done, upbeat, and so much fun. (I particularly like that the "Bend and Snap" got its own song!) I saw it live three years ago with Laura Bell Bundy and that was such a memorable experience.
