So, I am opening a thread to put some of my own photography in. The stuff that I am putting in now is actually from a couple of years ago when I took a photography class in school. They are all black and white, and I developed them all myself (as some of you can probably tell, the scanner magnified all of the scratches and dust). Any comments, critiques, thoughts are welcome! Hope you enjoy them!

I love the focus in this one.

I always thought the lighting in this one was kind of cool.

Again, with this one, I love the lighting. The picture itself is a bit ruined by scrates and dust (and now the negative is really ruined, I'll never get it better than this), but I really like it.

clone stamp
healing/spot healing brush
patch tool
all do great jobs at removing dust/scratch marks in photoshop.

Some good shots there. I really like the second one. I am a B&W nut, and always shoot a couple of rolls (yes, actual film) when I am shooting an event. Inevitably, people end up choosing a large number of those shots. Jacob_owen is right, there are a lot of tools to help with those scratches. You can do it yourself or bring them to a real photo lab for repair. If you don't have the software to do this, owl me and I'll help you out.

Thanks!
I love black and white as well. For this class that is all we could use (it was the only developing materials/chemicals we had was for black and white). I love it though. It is such a different quality.
And as far as the scratches, I don't have any of that kind of software and wouldn't know how to use it anyway. Your help would be greatly appreciated! :D

Comment numbers correlate to the order in which you posted the pictures:
Great photo. Love the use of focus on the drain, however at the time perhaps could have been closer to give more emphasis to the subject of the drain and the puddle of water. Although with such a small puddle of water I doubt that it would have as good composition as you already have now.
Best human subject photograph in your set. Nothing wrong. Great focus and use of thirds.
And alright photo if a bit generic. Could have brought the camera back a bit more to emphasize the space of the vehicle rather than have them equally balanced between the subject and the car space.
Nothing wrong with this picture. Very well composed with the contrast of sharp lines of the building with the human shape of the subject. The trees are a perfect accent to the piece and balances the picture very well, almost making an "X" in the picture which puts greater focus on the subject.

So here are a few new pictures I have...

Some funky clouds. There is one that looks like a lion in the middle, I think at least.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/sllagnire/scan0003.jpg
Some more pre-storm clouds.

A post-storm rainbow.

My doggie.
And there are a few more pics that i just posted in this (http://www.cosforums.com/showthread.php?t=112768) thread.
And there should be a few more in the next few days. I just went to the zoo and got some pretty good animal pictures.
