Ouran High School Host Club

I fell addicted to this after I saw the first episode. I wish it wasn't so short my favorite characters in this one are Haruhi, Tamaki and the guy that makes up the first part of the fan lover Kyoumaki (Kyou I think his name is?) The twins are funny but not among my top favorites, and the little dude who could pass off as an 8 year old and likes sweets. It's been a good 5 months since I've seen it so I won't remember all the names.

I can safely say that I agree with you. After you watch the first episode, you're hooked.

Tamaki is my favorite, followed closely by Kyouya.

I really love Ouran High School Host Club. The anime is really good and the manga is awesome. Tamaki is my favorite character. Ranka (Haruhi's dad) is hilarious too!

Kyouya! Yeah he's one I like. I think the series should have been longer than it was.

I haven't read the manga, is it like the anime ?

I love Ouran high school host club! I adore Hani-senpai and Mori-senpai, the twins rank highly, too. ^^

My best friend showed it to me, and I rather think shes regretting it, because i forced her to by me ouran stickers with Hani on them.XD

the manga is alot like the anime, but the twins appear so differently in the books! its really alot harder to tell them apart!

Yeah, I watched the series last year, it was really funny ! It's a very good anime . Haha ^ at the time, I signed a petition for a second series, I think.

Oh, I've only just started reading the manga. I am at chapter 15 and loving it, best series I've read in a while.
The one I like the best is Haruhi, great character, closely followed the guy who's into the occult, I would definitly have joined that club.

Manga is at chapter 58 and still ongoing, for which I am very thankful I might add. I happened to develop a slight obsession with the series the past week, and now that I've finished it all I'm feeling a bit down. I've watched the anime as well, and I really hope they make a second season.

So the books have more "eps" in a manner of speaking than the anime?

Yeah, the anime follows the manga up till chapter 40 something, and there were also some random chapters earlier on that didn't get animated.

This was a great anime!! Interesting to know there's a manga of it-I might have to look into that! ;)

Is the manga as good as the anime? Better?

IMO it's as good, and it's still continuing so there's more Ouran goodness left yet!

I love Haruhi as a protagonist, she was a nice change from normal super-femme shoujo heroines who do nothing but fall over themselves for boys (mostly). And I enjoy Tamaki's idiocy :lol:.

I recently started to watch this and it's not bad...I do find a few things sort of strange but whatever it's still a funny anime.

I read some of the manga and it was entertaining. Based on what people have said I'll check out this anime.

I would recommend the manga for people who like these types of stories and characters.

It is online you just have to search for it since it is a liscensed anime. Its too bad that the series only stops at episode 13? I think it was. I wonder if they have the series printed out here in the U.S

I have to say I'm addicted to it. It's absolutely hilarious and its nice to see an Anime where they're all not running around killing one another or fighting. I love all the characters though would be nice if they had introduced other females to contrast Haruhi, not just the bimbos that frequent the club.

Ouran anime got 26 episodes,I got the DVD,lucky me!its hard to search the anime online coz its lisenced.like everyone said,first episode=addicted!my fav characters are Tamaki,Haruhi & Hikaru,I really love the love triangle around them.The manga has reached chapter 75,and as good as the anime.

At the anime con I was at on the weekend, a group of girls dressed up as the boys from Ouran High School and their cosplay was so amusing and so well done I felt inspired to check out the show. Don't think an anime has ever made me laugh so much. Can't wait to watch more :D

Such an addicting series, I agree! I'd have to say that Mori is my favorite character though. It may be due to reading fan fiction on fanfiction.net though.

I've just started watching the first series of this today; I'm on the fifth episode or so, and I'm really enjoying it. ^_^ I must agree about getting hooked after the first episode. It cracks me up.

Oh, I love this anime! It's so funny! And yet it can be serious at the same time *gasp*~
Like many, my favorite character is Tamaki. He's hilarious and plays piano beautifully! Haruhi's great, too. Independent, horribly blunt, and smart, she's a fresh breath of air compared to the other wacky characters in this series (who are all pretty much fleshed-out versions of stereotypical shojo love interests, e.g. "The Prince Type", "The Cool Type").

Hikaru & Kaoru and Tamaki have to be the best characters :')
I crack up every time I watch an episode of OHSHC, even though I've seen them all so many times.

Am I the only one who thinks Tamaki is very like Gilderoy Lockhart? LOL.

i read the manga. and love hunny, in a way he was like the anime version of me at my old school, i looked younger then i was compared to everyone else i acted like a kid (still do) and i love sugar i lived off of it! (still do) he does martial arts (so do i) and he has bigger friends to take care of him as do i ^,^ basically hunny rules
but i kind of felt bad for kouru and hikaru because they both liked haru a bit and the king dude i felt kinda annoyed at him for being so oblivious to his own feelings

I think this series was my initiation to anime and mangas. It was so funny and cute and I just loved it.

I like Hani because he's adorable and the twins are so fun and then Tamaki because you just HAVE to like him. :rotfl:

I've seen the anime. I liked it quite a bit -- at first, I wasn't really getting the hype, but as time went on I began to truly liked most of the characters - faves being Kyouya, Mori, (Tamaki gets an honorable mention :)) -- and was sad to hear there wasn't a second season. I was impatient then, and ended up looking up what happened at the end of the manga.

Has anyone seen the live version yet? It's rekindled my interest in the series, and makes me wanna check out the manga again -- unless the live eps go past the anime's.
