I almost immediately downloaded like half of the songs on the list. I like some other songs that weren't on the list, though; they could have picked a better N'Sync song.

AliceLongbottom June 15th, 2008, 8:20 pm Songs from the nineties are so great. When I was younger, like seven, my mom always used to put the station of the radio where it was all of the oldies, like 90's music, and I've liked music from that era ever since.
Saoirse June 15th, 2008, 9:09 pm When i was younger, nothing really, but now, any rage against the machine song, wow they are amazing, the best politicaly chraged band of all time! just my opinion =]

Well, to me....
Any of those songs were my favorites, but Hanson "MMMBOp" I loved that song and of course METALLICA "Enter Sand Man" the fantastic Black Album!
I agree those songs has to be on that list... but... Billy Ray Cyrus in the first place... humm... I know that song was incredible popular, but that´s going too far...
I must agree too that the "Too sexy" thing is a classic already XD
I hated Nirvana, never liked it.
Ricky Martin "Living La vida loca", I like that song but "La copa de la Vida" was so much better, it hit the roof during football World Cup 1998 (what an incredibles memories I really enjoyed that World Cup)
Korn had better songs, but maybe that one was the most popular. Will Smith had better songs.
My songs from the 90s are many others, way different from that list.
My list has a bigger percentage of European music than US.
Fury August 29th, 2008, 9:52 pm I agree those songs has to be on that list... but... Billy Ray Cyrus in the first place... humm... I know that song was incredible popular, but that´s going too far...
It's not in first place, it was just the first one I put up there of my favorites ;). Definitely not in first place :p. I don't know what is to be honest.
Fleur du mal August 30th, 2008, 8:04 am ah, thinking of the nineties always gets me in a funny, slightly sentimental mood. That's definitely the decade that gets most of my 'firsts', first day in high school, first day at college, first kiss, first time driving a car, first time crashing a car, first party, (insert all the firsts that are inappropriate in a forum like this), first heartbreak, first own flat, first job... And the soundtrack for all this is - well, in retrospection, I like to gloss over the embarrassing parts of that soundtrack and just remember the glorious, like Nirvana and Radiohead. But heck, I'll own up - the first time I sneaked into a disco with fifteen, Eurobeat was big, and 2Unlimited had a huge hit around here with 'No Limit', and yes, I danced to that song. I forgot the band, but 'Mr Vain' was another massive hit that summer and I loved it as a sort of guilty pleasure, while officially listening to The Cure's Wish album. I had to become a good deal older to be capable of admitting the occasional slips of taste.
Chrysalis September 1st, 2008, 7:24 pm Pfff...how can you forget Britpop! Blur, Suede, Pulp, Oasis, The Verve...I feel nostalgic already!
vampiricduck September 3rd, 2008, 1:52 am I'm a nineties kid, so this shouldn't be too hard for me... I do remember most of the stuff that went on, so hopefully this will reflect some of it... The 90s were an era of REM's best work, and as my favourite band, they will be involved here, I imagine!
Sinéad O Connor- Nothing Compares 2 U
REm- Losing My Religion
Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch- Good Vibrations
Nirvana- Smells Like Teen Spirit
Whitney Houston- I Will Always Love You
RHCP- Under the Bridge
Michael Jackson- Black or White
House of Pain- Jump Around
Eric Clapton- Tears in Heaven
The Proclaimers- I'm Gonna Be (500 miles)
REM- Man on the Moon
Bruce Springsteen- Streets of Philadelphia
Counting Crows- Mr Jones
Coolio- Gangsta's Paradise
Fugees- Killing Me Softly
Oasis- Wonderwall
Hanson- MMMBop
No Doubt- Don't Speak
Jay Z- Hard Knock Life
TLC- No Scrubs
Those are taken from my MP3, under 1990s and chronologically listed (I think...) Some of them qualify for video awards, like Smells Like Teen Spirit, Gansta's Paradise and Losing My Religion...
NumberEight September 3rd, 2008, 2:05 am My favorite music video from the 90s is a song called "Stinkfist" by TOOL. The video is awesome.
Drusilla September 5th, 2008, 6:36 pm Britpop...yay Britpop! Oasis and The Verve changed the way I listen to music forever, and nearly all the bands I love most began their careers in the 90s- other favourites included Garbage, Republica, Portishead and No Doubt. I was also a huge Spice Girls/Lolly/Aqua fan, too.
As for favourite songs/videos, here goes:
Portishead- Glory Box
Oasis- Slide Away
The Verve- History
Republica- Ready To Go
Garbage- I Think I'm Paranoid-
Sixpence None The Richer -Kiss Me (permanently associated in my head with the movie She's All That)
No Doubt- Just A Girl
And I absolutely loved the video for the Spice Girls' Say You'll Be There.
