Okay so what do you think about Britney Spears? I love her music and I think her voice is pretty good, though personally I think her music was a bit better before...oh well, what do you think?

I love Britney. I wish people wouldn't bash her behavior as much as they do. I'm sure being one of the most famous celebrities in the world is extremely stressful. When someone else is in her position, then maybe they will be more qualified to say bad things about her. I really like her new CD and style. She sounds great. I've liked her ever since she came out, though. She's amazing!

I'm really into her latest stuff, actually. It's weird that her life seems to be falling apart but her new music is amazing (I think her new album was a critical success).

I love Break the Ice. There is no better song to pump you up. I listen to it before any soccer game and when I work out - it just gives me energy!

I'm sure there are people who like her but won't admit it. In a way, I don't blame her for her breakdown.

I liked her when she first came out and then liked the odd song. The new songs are great though, I like them. Especially Break the Ice.

My favourite songs of Brit are: My Preroggative, Ooops...I did it again, Baby one more time (or something like that), Gimme More, Piece of Me, Break the Ice, Cold as Fire, Hot as Ice and Toy Soldier.

I think they really exaggerate the way she acts. I mean, she slipped on the treet, right? Well, it was an accident, for heaven's sake! If it was a normal person, people would go and help them and ask them if they're allright, but if you're famous, then the press atacks you! I mean, ok, quite a loot of things she did were quite bad, like letting the kid alone in the car, but in my oppinion, if someone wants to go swimming in underwear (practically a bathing suit), then they can do it. I mean, come ON, in lots of places they do topless, which is worse than going in underwear...

I don't blame Brit really, who wouldn't be depressed, being in her place...she was depressed, she did drugs, that is sadly a quite common thing to do. I'm not saying it's right, not at all, but I mean, like put yourselves in her place.

Anyway, lol, I've gotta go and eat.

bye!

I like her music and wish poeple didn't bash her so much...especially the media. But I guess that’s what you get when you are a celebrity. I think she just needs someone that really cares for her to come to her aid and just help her out. She needs a best friend. But I still definitely like her music!

I think she was good once..but now her time is over. Her VMA's performance reassured me on that.
The media wouldnt follow her so much if she wasnt constantly doing stupid things.

I'm still a total fan of her music before "Toxic". From then on, they're all just excuses to get more naked in front of crowds of people. I absolutely looooove "Baby one more time", "Oops!... I did it again", and "Stronger" :D

I think it was pretty stupid of her to act the way she did when she was so successful. Have some class, girl.

I like her music, but she isn't exactly the top role model of all times. Whenever a star gets into trouble with DUI, etc., I always think, "Oh, they're doing a Britney." It's very judgmental, but I can't help it. I feel like a meanie.

My favorite songs of hers: Hit Me Baby One More Time, Oops I Did It Again, Break the Ice, Gimme More, Piece of Me, Get Naked (I've Got A Plan), Toxic...

I like her music and wish poeple didn't bash her so much...especially the media. But I guess that’s what you get when you are a celebrity. I never really got into Brittney until this yearish. Of course I knew about her, but I didn't really really seek her out until it felt like everyone was predicting her latest album would tank.. I saw her VMA performance and felt really bad for her, so I listened to a few tracks to see if maybe she could at least pull herself up. It surprised how it really wasn't bad at all!

Now I've been slowly listening to her old stuff, seeing if I can get into any of it. She's definitely one of those artists where I like some songs, but not all. (Every day I thank the geniuses who thought up the "buy single tracks" option) Like Michael Jackson, I try to seperate her personal life with her singing, since she's not an absolute favorite anyway.

I actually remember when I *first* heard of Brittney -- I was at my 6th grade talent show (or was it 5th? One of those, it doesn't matter), and my friend's sister was in a group who did a dancing skit to "Baby One More Time". My friend's sister was a gymnast and I was impressed with her flips and thought the song was catchy :P

I remember when I used to blast Radio Disney in my room and would be dying to hear Britney's music being played lol. And I'd dance in my room:p

Though she certainly wouldn't be one of my favourite artists, and never was, I have to say that I really respect what she did for pop music. She really was the first of a large group of female vocalists, and I pity her recent bad times. I hope she gets back on top of things. I don't prefer either her earlier or later stuff, I just think she did a great job, even though her genre would never have attracted me. In short, job well done all round!

Okay, I was a fan from the first CD onward (and have seen clips of her as a child singer). Interstingly, she seemed to have more soul and range as an eight-year-old than as a 20-something. Maybe she just got too used to lip-synching and voice-doctoring. Dunno. I probably enjoy her the "Oops" album the most--the first one had a couple enjoyable hits on it, but fluff like "Sodapop" was totally forgettable. Unfortunately "Slave" became the signature single on "Britney"--too bad. There are some enjoyable songs on there, but the "rough," computer-generated feel of the first single ends up sticking in my craw. Haven't investigated the most recent release much, (though I own it). I like "Break the Ice" and the second single okay. I think the first single off it was a mistake all-around.

Britney's the guiltiest of my guilty pleasures. I don't have the latest CD, or that compilation thingy (I don't 'do' compilations, except for movie soundtracks of course), but I have everything else. I feel sorry for her, and I understand why she went plumb-crazy the way she did. The whole 'celebrity' culture and surrounding package is grotesquely unnatural. I'm glad I don't have to deal with it myself.

Though, Britney's not my favorite singer, I love most of her songs; mainly the songs that she came out with before any of the "chaos or whatever you want to call it" in her life happend. And I respect her for everything she's gone through and how she's became an idol and everything she's done in pop music.

My favoirte songs would have to be "Oops, I did it again!" and "Lucky". (Though that song never got popular I loved it, I even named my dog after it, when I was 5.)
Right now, I have "Womanizer" stuck in my head.

I have very mixed feelings about Britney. I can't say I really like either her music or her voice and I can't say I like her behavior, but I definitely get how stressful it could be as such a famous celebrity. People shouldn't bash her like them do, and it's pretty impressive that she manages to handle it anyways.

I disagree. I think Britney brought all the bashing upon herself. Her behavior, actions, and choices brought such negative opinions upon her. Sure being a celeb may be stressful, but for the most part, celebs are still looked at in positive lights, and I can't say the same for Britney. She made many mistakes, and she didn't learn from them. Maybe she is finally changing this, but I'm not sure if it is going to change her reputation.

I really doubt she'll change the reputation. She deserves it really, but there are worse ways she could be dealing with it.

By the way, I watched part of this thing Britney did on MTV...or at least some of the commercials. And once she said something like (directly quoted) "What the hell was I thinking? I mean, i'm a smart person". Erm...not too sure how smart she is for doing what she's done...but at least it means she's acknowledged something.

Ah, I see your point. She could definitely be handling the pressure in worse ways, although some of her ways of dealing with it are pretty questionable, imo. But you are right, acknowledgment is the key to fixing her life.

She's mentally ill by the looks of it, and as far as i can see shes been pushed back out on the road to make money way too early. She looks like the light has gone out in her eyes in certain parts of her video for womanizer. That's just my take on it anyway.

She's not a bad pop star, but she needs to sort her head out properly.

I wonder how you could feel like that, as a fan, theirs only one record which could be considered that sin, and that's Blackout, but all her other music has their own styles, such as, Mmm Papi in comparison to say, When I Found You, or Unusual You to Circus, or even Oops I Did It Again to When Your Eyes Say It, their is alot of variety, especially in her latest album!

I don't mind it actually, it becomes as bit catchy after a while. I think the lyrics are a bit dumb, though. "All of the boys and all of the girls are begging to if you seek Amy". I don't really find the whole spelling out the F word that clever really.

Britney Spears is a pop god. Period. :tu:

I am Britney Spears' biggest fan alive, it's not even funny. Been a fan since day one. I actually even run a fansite for her. Anyways...

Her music is amazing. Her newest album, Circus, is one of her best work. Every song is different and has its own style. I especially love "Mannequin" and "If U Seek Amy." The way they made up "Amy" and what it means is really clever and fun. Music video will launch next month! Can't wait for that.

No, Bader, I think you would have to be the second biggest fan. Chris Crocker would have to be the biggest Britney Spears fan ever. And the funniest. His youtube videos are awesome.

Alright I'm giving in. If You Seek Amy is pretty good. I don't really like the unnatural highness to her voice in the song, but it's a pretty cool song.

I strongly dislike her. She has done many bad things, been sent to prison, changed her haircut to bald(!), she always wears inappropriate clothes, dances inappropriate, and in general everything she does in inappropriate and unacceptable to me. (and sometimes illegal) I don't think she has something to been liked for. Even her voice is extremely bad. OK, some of her songs are kinda catchy, but all of the above prevent me from liking her. not a britney fan here, but i've seen the video to that on tv and it makes it pretty obvious that it was intentional. i mean, the lyrics don't even make sense if you interpret the title to be about the search for a girl called amy.

Her new album is REALLY good. Her producers are god. My favourites would have to be "Till the world ends", "Inside out", "Beautiful", "Gasoline" and especially "Criminal".

Looking back at her old performances, her dancing used to be amazing and energetic. Her Femme Fatale tour has nothing on her old choreography skills. She just looks tired and subdued now, and she's not even that old at all, just 30. She seems to have lost passion. It's sad :( Still love her, but I honestly think she's lost the spark...

I liked her in her earlier days the best. I haven't really listened to much of her music after all the bad stuff that happened to her. "Till The World Ends" is okay, but not like her other stuff. It's got a good beat, but it's not the best.

Earlier music was better. Too much autotune now. Still like her though.
