Hes June 10th, 2008, 12:16 am Is your Inner Eye awake or is it clouded by the hustle and bustle of the mundane life?
Do you have seer talents? Do you like the particularly refined art of Crystal-gazing? If so share your abilities with Professor Trelawney, she will love you for it. If not... well... you will be able to ask our Divination teacher about your future. Do you want to know the meaning of that strange shape in your tea leaves? Was it perhaps a Grim?
You can ask Professor Trelawney anything you want, just remember that the Inner Eye might not always respond when needed.
PureBloodGirl July 3rd, 2008, 4:55 am Professor Trelawney I'd like you to see into your crystal ball for me please and see if I will become an actress or not in the near future.
I'm looking into the future for you Professor and I see that you will drink your tea and when you get to the bottom of the cup the tea leaves will be a grim. Please Professor watch out for yourself.
firefly20angel July 3rd, 2008, 2:58 pm Proffesor...
Well, I want to ask if you ever found out about one particular prophecy occuring but I doubt you would have any idea of what I was talking about so:
Were you always interested in Divination? Was your family all interested in this subject?
Den_muggle July 19th, 2008, 2:19 am Professor,
I want you to know how proud I am that I won the Trelawney Award in the Triwizard Tournament. I guess they thought I did a good job telling the future in my story and seeing what others couldn't. (My inner eye has such clarity that it never fails to impress...when it deigns to open and see, of course.) Do you think I could do some private tutoring with you even if I'm too old to attend Hogwarts...and a muggle? (I could really use some lottery winnings!)
Professor Trelawney July 19th, 2008, 3:34 pm Professor Trelawney I'd like you to see into your crystal ball for me please and see if I will become an actress or not in the near future. My dear, the spirits are vague on this point. Have you had a cup of tea lately?
I'm looking into the future for you Professor and I see that you will drink your tea and when you get to the bottom of the cup the tea leaves will be a grim. Please Professor watch out for yourself. The inner-eye can be deceiving, my dear. I have nothing to worry about.
Proffesor...

Were you always interested in Divination? Was your family all interested in this subject?I was born to be a seer. My great, great grandmother Sybil was renown, you know. The gift has been passed on to me.

It is wonderful for a Muggle to achieve such an honor. I do not tutor Muggles, you know. It has something to do with the statute of secrecy. I hate to bother with little details, but Kingsley would not be pleased if I violated it. I have warned him about his future, but he just laughs at me for some reason. he should be more careful.

So you've always been interested in the beyond :tu:
Anyways, about the prophecy.... I can't mention it...argh.
hopefulgirl86 July 25th, 2008, 11:22 pm Do you and Firenze get along yet?
LumosPatronus August 1st, 2008, 12:35 pm are you still a popular teacher? I mean, are lots of people taking Divination?
I think I might like Divination next year.
Professor Trelawney August 1st, 2008, 9:18 pm Do you and Firenze get along yet?He and I get along just fine. He stays out of my way, as a matter of fact.
are you still a popular teacher? I mean, are lots of people taking Divination?
I think I might like Divination next year. My classes are very popular, of course. I would love to have you in my class. How is your inner eye?
LumosPatronus August 1st, 2008, 9:41 pm It's getting there. Tea leaves and crystal balls are my favourite. But don't I have to be a Third year to have the lessons? I'm only a second year.
Den_muggle August 1st, 2008, 10:35 pm Why does Lumos get to be in your class, but not me? I'm hurt that you would play favorites that way, Professor. After winning the Trelawney award, you'd think I would be the favorite, but noooooo! :upset:
Professor Trelawney August 2nd, 2008, 10:32 pm It's getting there. Tea leaves and crystal balls are my favourite. But don't I have to be a Third year to have the lessons? I'm only a second year.Yes, dear, you must be a third year at Hogwarts to be in my class.

My dear, not everyone has the inner eye. Muggles are not able to foresee the future the way a true seer can. I am afraid I must exclude them. Is Lumos a Muggle? Oh, dear. I will have to consult my crystal ball to see if it tells me the future for Lumos and you, dear.
its_my_life August 3rd, 2008, 1:27 am Predict something for me!
LumosPatronus August 3rd, 2008, 12:11 pm I am not a muggle, I am a second year, and student-wizard of Hogwarts :D
LumosPatronus August 16th, 2008, 8:28 pm Do you know who will be the next Head teacher of hogwarts?
Such decisions are for the board, and I've never been talented at Divination. Perhaps you should ask Professor Trelawney. I'm sure she could give you an...interesting answer. :)
do you know?
Professor Trelawney August 20th, 2008, 4:53 pm do you know? One does not like to brag about the fact that one is all knowing. It can be such a burden.
Yes, my dear, I know. But I believe it is not for me to reveal that information.
arithmancer August 20th, 2008, 5:07 pm Professor Trelawney, I was wondering whether the Inner Eye has given you any indications regarding the upcoming elections for Minister. WHat are the portents for the candidates?

Dark and difficult times lie ahead. Conflict and dissent follow the candidates. The inner eye sees no further than that.
arithmancer August 20th, 2008, 10:25 pm Thank you, Professor. That was most...illuminating. :)
skrewtmaster October 3rd, 2008, 12:06 pm Hello Professor, just popped by to say how much I admire your work and to say that I actually did a little victory dance when I read that you are very skilled when it comes to flinging crystal balls at people.
Also, I have recently taken up tea reading. But my leaves always tend to stay in a clump in my cup or I somehow manage to inhale them. Why would this be? Should I be concerned?
Yours
skrewt
EvilFrog October 6th, 2008, 10:07 pm Dear Professor Trelawney,
I have been studying divination with a private tutor for the past few years, due to the fact that I live in Canada, and, as such, it would be a bit of a commute for me to take lessons with you, and I was wondering if it would be possible for me to have a private lesson with you at some point in the future? I have, of course, heard wonderful things about you and your abilities, and I would love to have the opportunity to learn from you.
Cheers,
Jen

Yours
skrewt Make sure you are using the finest tea leaves. You must be patient and let the leaves settle to the bottom of the cup before you drink it. Make sure your cup has a wide bottom. And finally, put your saucer on top of your cup and flip the cup over rapidly. You will get a clump if you so this last step slowly. If you still have a clump after all of this, then you might want to try a crystal ball, instead.
Dear Professor Trelawney,

Jen I cannot teach you this subject by correspondence. Your presence is required so that I can sense your aura. Please consider a trip to Hogwarts. I think you would enjoy it.
