Name: Professor Anderson (no, that is not my real last name, but I like it, okay?? :p)
Subject: History of Magic
Qualifications: I stayed awake in Binns' class and took good notes. I also have spent the majority of my life in the libraries and bookstores, researching.
Why: I heard Binns has disappeared, and I seem to be the only one for the job...currently. :D

Seriously, though, that would be so cool! I would love to teach History of Magic! It would be probably less boring than Binns! :D

Subject: Arithmancy
Qualifications: I've always enjoyed Arithmancy, and have studied it for hours on end..
Why Hogwarts should choose you: Because I don't just make a class boring, and make it fun as well. Seriously though, I just think that I would be a good teacher at Hogwarts, and I'm not a death eater, so there's a plus. :D

Subject: Defense Against the Dark Arts
Qualifications: fighting beside the dark lord (like snape :D)
Why Hogwarts should choose you: I'm a combination of Lupin and Mad Eye with my teaching methods, warm and helpful but aware of the Dark Arts and feel that students need to know and be exposed to them. And I swear I won't do anything (permanently) awful to my students :p

Name: Professor Girnius
Subject: Mathematics
Qualifications:
B. S., U. of Chicago, 1990, PhD, UCLA, 1995.
(UCLA and U. of Chicago are a Muggle institutions of learning for post-secondary education. I studied my subject for nine years after completing my secondary education, and am the author of research papers.)
In addition, I taught for a year at the University of Cincinnati.
I am currently employed in a Muggle business that uses mathematics to better describe and understand what things Muggles buy, and why.
Why Hogwarts should choose you:
My qualifications are excellent. I have an open mind and flexible attitude towards life, so I could adapt well to life as Muggle in a magical institution. While my teaching experience is with older students, I did while at Chicago teach in a summer program for secondary-school aged children, and it appears Hogwarts does not require specific teaching credentials anyway, preferring to hire subject-matter experts, which I am.
Hogwarts' curriculum lacks this subject, at present, but I feel this is an oversight. Since the Wizard World separated from the Muggle world, the Muggle world has made enormous strides in the natural sciences, and a part of this has been the development of mathematical concepts to describe and measure natural phenomena. It could be used, similarly, in fields of magic with a similarity to Muggle natural sciences, including, but not necessarily limited to, Potions, Herbology, Healing, Astronomy, and Arithmancy. Mathamatics is also useful in some non-acedemic professions of the Wizard World, including government, banking, and business.
Higher mathematics is not for everyone, Muggle or Wizard. I therefore envision mathematics at Hogwarts as an elective course for students interested in pursuing related subjects. Please feel free to contact me for additional information.

Name (you want to be called as Professor): Professor Noitall;
To be addressed by students as: Your majesty.

Subject:: Alchemy

Qualifications:

A) Experience: Mixed many drinks at parties and other functions; perfectly prepared a martini for 007, shaken, but not stirred; mixed numerous substances for quality oils and lubricants for motorbikes; mixed 10 bags of nuts into small dishes of mixed nuts for numerous parties; often mix up whether it was the chicken or egg that came first.

B) Education: mixed degrees: Grade School with special note: "passed because we don't want him here any longer"; High School Graduation Certificate - special mark: let someone else deal with this one; B.S. Biology (some clever professor elaborated on what my particular B.S. should stand for on the certificate); MBA (received with a plane ticket to 'anywhere but here'; and soon to have JD for Law (assuming the remainder of my professors can avoid the insane asylum until then).

C) Other: Own personal cauldron in the unique shape of a pumpkin with a black strap handle.

Why Hogwarts should choose you:

I look at my hiring similar to the way that wizards look at wands; it is not the wizard that chooses the wand, but rather the wand that chooses the wizard. In this instance, I would be the wand. Hogwarts and I just meld as a perfect fit - it is destiny and if anyone should get in the way of that eventuality, cosmic and galactic factors would likely cause the misplacement of several key planets in the solar system.

Name (you want to be called as Professor): Prof. Sparkly-Star

Subject: Potions

Qualifications: I lent my Grandma's very expensive and advanced potions equipment for a longer period of time, and I have experimented much. I've made enough potions to make a book in 12 volumes, and I guarantee you all the potions are tested with very good results. As I have no potions book at home (noone told me where the Norwegian Diagon Alley is, and I cannot afford to go to London, nor am I allowed to have any owls at home), there is a chance that some of my potions are invented already, though I'm 99 % sure at least half of them are not invented (on purpose) before, nor written down in any way. But still, I made them all by myself without the expertise of books or persons (other than me, of course), and I have names for them too.

Why Hogwarts should choose you: Because of my self-learned experience, natural talent for potions, imagination and ability to pass my knowledge on. I've made potions for all ages and skill levels. I know where to draw the line, and set expectations and targets for the individual student and do my best to reach help them reach it. The fact that I'm pretty young is no hindrance, I would rather say the opposite as I have easier to understand the students, being around the same age as them.

Any questions or need for more information, please send me an owl.

---------------------------End of job application---------------------------

Why I want to teach potions? It seems to be an interesting subject, and it's a bit like cooking - though it is not always wise to taste on the product, often I'd rather let someone I don't like try it first, especially if I have invented it myself and am unsure what the exact reaction will be. Plus, potions can be used to make life better (or worse (), but don't think about that) for others. I like to help.

You should be a teacher so you have a steady supply of students to test your potions on.

Don't worry, I won't do that! At least, not when anyone's looking...

Name (you want to be called as Professor): Professor Taylor Bale :D

Subject: Defense Against the Dark Arts

Qualifications: I have used every spell in the book at least five times, I have fought off dementors (sent to me by v8) using the portronas charm, I have worked at the Ministry for 200 years (I am a vampire, therefore I am immortal), and I have been an Auror for the Ministry for around 150 years.

Why Hogwarts should choose you: Because I am a smart, well manered vampire who will show these students disapline. Under my teaching they will learn not only the basic defense spells, but also how to defend themselves against blood-thirsty vampires (excluding me, I have learned how to conrol my thrist) and dangerous werewolves.

Name (you want to be called as Professor): Professor Granger (That's not my real name but I like it)
Subject: Defence Against the Dark Arts
Qualifications: I have been in the DA when Umbridge was in Hogwarts and Harry taught me a lot. I also went to search horcruxes with him and we won. Harry defeated Voldy.
Why Hogwarts should choose you: Because I can teach the students proper Defence Against the Dark Arts and not just the Dark Arts like the Carrows did. I can tell them what was it like to face the Dark Lord (Only for students who are in the sixth year or above) though not telling them all the details, but at least they would know what was it like, but now the Dark Lord is defeated. So there's nothing to worry about.

And unlike the others, I have guts to call You-Know-Who's name!!
Voldemort Voldemort Voldemort!!!

Name: Professor Miller

Name: Professor Peabody
Subject: Pre-History of Magic
Course Aims: To provide students with backgound information about Hogwarts itself and the reasons for establishing the school, life history of the four founders, the houses themselves. We will use the book [I]Hogwarts: a History as a main study volume.

Qualifications: I feel that this could be an interesting subject, and I have many ideas of how to make it more so. There seems to be a general dearth of understanding in this area. Learning about the respective founders of each of the houses could go a long way in developing more understanding and unity between the houses, in my opinion.

Why shoud Hogwarts choose you? Because I could really shake up the history department.

April 7th, 2012, 2:37 pm
Name: Professor Welkin Cooper

Subject: Applying for the newly created position of Magical Proficiency Tester and Student Counselor

Qualifications: Dumbledore recommended me before he died. Isn't that enough?

Why Hogwarts should choose you:
I'm very empathetic, not easily deceived by stories that start out "But honestly, my homework was eaten by a basilisk! He/She had no reason to deduct house points!" I'm quite good at discerning what areas an individual student has the most interest in and/or would be most proficient in and pointing them in the right direction to focus their studies. I'd be a good liason between students and faculty as well as faculty and parents because I'm charming but not easily intimidated.

Oh yes...I almost forgot...I make a great fruit crumble and would be willing to provide one on occasion for the teacher's lounge.
