He was THE MAN back in the 90's, and I still love his CD "In Pieces". My favorite songs would be "American Honky Tonk Bar Association" and "Standing Outside the Fire". Does anyone else remember him?

I'm pretty sure my ipod has every single album of his. Though when he changed to being Chris Gains he just went a little weird... I do like his Scarecrow album though, which is the best of his newer stuff... frack412 August 18th, 2008, 2:23 pm I love Garth Brooks! I have most of his music on my iPod. Nothing from the Chris Gaines album, tho.. I heard part of one Chris Gaines song on YouTube & I wasn't really impressed. I thought it was kinda strange. hp_fan31 August 28th, 2011, 11:13 pm he is still THE MAN!!!!! i am waiting for the day when he comes out of retirement for good.....i know he's got a 5-year-deal with Wynn Hotels in Las Vegas now, but tickets to those shows are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too expensive for my budget.......so here i sit, waiting patiently!!! i actually saw Garth in concert twice - and that was AFTER he "retired" from doing concerts. The first time i saw him in concert was in 2001. That was when he did the televised "Coast to Coast" concerts. The first one was in Los Angeles. I went with my cousin. It was AWESOME!!! the second time i saw Garth was in January 2008. Originally it started out as ONE concert to benefit the Los Angeles Firefighters because we had just had a HORRIBLE wild fire season a couple of months before that. Well, the one show sold out in MINUTES and they eventually added 4 additional shows so it was 5 shows over 2 days in Los Angeles. I managed to get two tickets to one of the 5 concerts and i gave my mom one of the tickets as her Christmas gift. She LOVED Garth Brooks and had never been to one of his concerts before, so for me to surprise her with that she said was the best Christmas present ever!!! DanaSnape August 29th, 2011, 1:37 am I adore Garth! I had seen him a few times growing up, and just last year, my husband took me to Vegas to see his show at the Wynn. If you ever get the chance to go you definitely should. Fawkesfan1 September 19th, 2011, 8:15 pm I like his music ok. I got 'the Thunder Rolls' on my ipod. Not really a fan of his other stuff though that much. |
