Drusilla June 23rd, 2008, 1:15 pm I've been a fan of this series for a while now, it's shoujo with stunning artwork and some very beautifully drawn people/vampires (one of the characters is in my current sig). It's got most if not all the elements I demand from manga- beautiful artwork (this cannot be reiterated strongly enough), interesting characters, and action galore (well, the title does involve vampires, after all. A short summary of the story (borrowed from onemanga forums):
_____________________________
Cross Academy is attended by two groups of students: the Day Class and the Night Class. At twilight, when the students of the Day Class return to their dorm, they cross paths with the Night Class on their way to school. Yuki Cross and Zero Kiryu are the Guardians of the school, there to protect the Day Class from the Academy's dark secret: the Night Class is full of vampires.

I'm hoping I'm not the only VK fan around...*looks around nervously*.
ETA: It's got an anime too, which started earlier this year.
Artemis_Fowl_2 November 8th, 2008, 10:31 pm I'm not usually a fan of shoujo manga or anime, but this one is definitely an exception for me. The art, the characters, and the characters interactions are all very enjoyable and I always find myself wanting to know what happens next and/or how the characters are going to act when they find things out or when they come in contact with other characters. It is just a great story.
I have only seen the first two episodes of the anime so far, but I have enjoyed them.
Although I change my siganture often, one I have used is a manga image of Kaname Kuran and Zero Kiryu.
Kelly_Mae July 22nd, 2009, 5:52 pm I have four of the manga books and love it, however the anime did make me mad when they cut out half of it, nearly
I think the characters are well developed and the uniform is very out of the ordinary for most Japanese manga (mainly because the mangaka loves Gothic Lolita and wanted to make a gothic uniform)
It's also a magical kind of story. It has the basic elements in it; horror, romance, comedy and PLOT.
The story is well developed, but I hope that Zero and Yuuki end up together!
SnufflesFTW August 6th, 2009, 3:32 pm :DI've read up to chapter 52 at this point, and what can I say but "WOW"! The story captured me as soon as I began reading and Matsuri Hino has kept me hooked all the way through! The style of manga used is by far the most impressive and my favourite so far, it's just beautiful! It's amazing how much I sympathise with the characters (so much that I've actually cried at some points)! They comedy is just as strong as the drama and tragedy too, it's laugh out loud funny (the last laugh out loud funny thing I've read was a Terry Pratchett book so that’s really something)!! And the twists, well, I'll just say that I feel like I've spent hours on a teacup ride (except I've not gotten nauseous). Hino is also very good at teasing the reader too, you think one things going to happen and the story goes in a totally unexpected direction (but it still works and makes sense)! So well done Matsuri Hino, you've got a fan for life! ^,^:D
P.S. I'm on Team Kaname!
SunXia August 22nd, 2009, 7:27 pm I'm still a little...ahem...queasy about the brother/sister secnario but since they're technically not that closely related, judging by what Kaname said to Zero after Yuki passed out, I think I can get passed it!! I just wish it was updated more often than a month at a time!! The suspense kills me!!
Tonks_Animagus September 4th, 2010, 1:43 pm I just started reading it, and I love it! Kaname is soo cute   But I hope Yuki ends up with Zero because it's so sad he became a vampire :(
