Basshunter

I never liked techno/trance before I discovered Basshunter one day on YouTube. Who knew that a Swedish trance song about a moderator bot from a chatroom could be so amazing? I don't understand a word of what he says, but the translated lyrics are hilarious stuff.

One of my favorites is Sverige, which I'm guessing is a remix version of their actual national anthem?

If you have the time, check out Basshunter on YouTube. I made a CD and played it for some friends who first objected, saying "Ew, techno?" then later couldn't stop talking about how catchy the songs were.

At one point I loved Basshunter but after I bought one of his CDs I found his music tends to sound repetitive, however, I still find Basshunter fun to listen to here and there. I enjoy the songs Russia Privjet and the hardstyle remix of Welcome To Rainbow.

The lyric translations are certainly funny and I would have liked for the same lyrics to be used with his North American releases but that doesn't seem to be the case. I greatly prefer Boten Anna over Now You're Gone and DotA over All I Ever Wanted.

Lol, I have so many friends who are like that. They say it's crazy to want to listen to techno outside of clubs. Anyway, I'm not a huge fan but I have a few of his songs. Most of them I get addicted to and then I get sick of them after a week or so. Love Welcome to Rainbow and All I ever wanted still though.

"All I Ever Wanted" is classic. Love "Please Don't Go" and others as well. :)

I'm not a big fan of Trance music but fans of Basshunter would probably like Tiesto and Ferry Corsten. Actually, fans of Basshunter should probably look into mainstream Trance in general.
