Summary:
Hino goes to a school that specialises in music and has two streams: the normal stream and the music stream, where the music students are regarded as the more elite. She was running late for her class one day when she saw a tiny fairy, who seemed really excited that she could see it. The next day, the entrants in the music competition, who are decided by the school, are announced. Hino's name appears on the list - except she doesn't play an instrument. The fairy gives her a magical violin that can be played by anyone. Reluctantly, she enters into the competition and is forced to deal with the prejudices of her peers.

This anime has given me much more insight to classical/boroque music. I love it sooo much. I particularly like the Gavotte duet on in the series, with the trumpet and violin.

This anime is really fun and it really does show a different side of music in a sense. Anyone else think so?

Yay for La Corda fans! I've followed the manga for a while now and loved the anime too, and I'm really thrilled to hear they're making a new OVA this year.

Though I must admit, any anime that features classical music and pretty boys, has my heart forever, especially when it's nicely animated like this one is.

I can agree with that!

Oh are you serious?! They are making a new OVA?! Really?

Yeah, as far as I know it's been confirmed...it's going to introduce some new characters, too.

ya! i love this manga because its based on music and i play music the violin thing was perfect, but i didn't like that annoying angel thing, and i think it could have been written with a better plot but it is still excellent. :)

This anime was really good. I want to learn how to play the violin now: that Ave Maria just sounds too beautiful.
I wanted her to end up with someone but even I could not decide who I liked best.
