I found myself not liking it much, which saddened me, so I will probably go see it again and give it another chance.

3 times so far. Midnight showing, with one of my friends the other day and with my mom yesterday. :)

I have seen it two times and I intend to see it a third.

Dear Flaming - I felt the same way, and so I went again this time with a Potter fan, and I loved a million times more. The first time I went alone, and I think going with a friend helped, but also I tried to put the book in the back of my mind and just enjoy the movie and I did! I still wish a few things were different, but overall I really enjoyed it which is way more than I can say after my first visit! Go see it again!

Four times so far. I will probably go again though. I don't go to the movies that often because there really haven't been any that great lately so when a Harry Potter film comes out why not go over and over again.

I second though, if you have only seen it once and were disappointed, see it again. It is always easier around the second time.

3 times. A early screening at 8:30 on the 14th, midnight showing, and then I went to see it again on Friday. I plan on seeing it again at I-max and I will probably go see it again at I-max. I don't know how many times i will see this movie because it's my favorite. December seem so far away for the DVD release now.

I saw it once, at the midnight showing. I dont plan on going again in theatres because I was pleasantly surprised by it... and I really enjoyed it! Thus, i dont want too much of a good thing.

I ended up going to see it by myself for the first time, but I didn't care as soon as the movie started. I loved it right away.

I saw it at midnight for the first viewing. Then at 3:30 AM again, and I got half off the admission second time! :tu: It was not the least bit dull to watch it two times twice.

I am impatient to see it the third time. I might go this week, but I really am trying to wait until August when Imax will already be there where I live.

I plan on seeing it again with my immediate family. Then with my grandma, and probably alone again. All together will have seen it in theaters 5 times.

There's only two cinemas here that offer the version with subtitles as well as the dubbed one; I'll have to go and see the English one one more time before they stop releasing it altogether. I've seen it twice. The Saturday night after it's release and than the next night as well. And I think seeing it the second time helped me too like it a bit more because originally I didn't care too much for it.

The movie just wasn't what I had hoped it would be, and for the first time I was actually glad when it was over - something that was never the case with a HP movie before.
Probably because they cut almost all the scenes I had been looking forward to.

I saw it for the second time yesterday afternoon. I think my appreciate for the movie only increased, as during my first viewing, I was so hyped up and on edge, I didn't notice many little details. A second viewing certainly gives you that opportunity, and I like to look at the audience reaction to several scenes, particularly when Ron is poisoned, but falls down in a funny way, and when the Inferi grabs Harry's hand in the cave.

I think I'll see it again this weekend, and perhaps once more when it finally opens all over in IMAX.

Just once, but I wanted to see it again right away. Maybe when KitKatVick gets back I'll take her; I know SageRacer doesn't want to go see it again.

Once in Imax the day it came out (England seemed to forget about midnight showings this time) 2nd time with my flatmate the next night and then once with a friend this morning. This morning I saw it for the third time. First time was opening day and I loved it! Second time I went by myself on a day I know the theater would be empty so I can totally soak in the plot and details. Today, a friend invited me along and I was able to search for little details that were mentioned in this forum, such as Cho Chang or the lemon drops.

One thing I did noticed today: The Death Eaters kidnapped Ollivander in the opening scene! I kind knew it was him, but today I was positive because I saw the Weasley's magic shop on the same street when they dragged out the hooded victim!

i went to the midnight premiere and ive been going consistently every night since then. i just can't get enough of it! i think to myself theres a brand new harry potter movie out! what are you doing at home watching Chamber of Secrets?!

Saw it for the third time this afternoon. Unfortunately my theater experience wasn't the best this time around, as two cell phones went off separately during the movie (once during the orphanage scene, and once during Felix Felicis). There was also a small child who would either cry, whine, or yell during some of the quieter parts. At least he remained quiet from the Cave to the end of the film.

First time I saw it, I saw it at the Omnimax in Chicago(8:30), it was okay but the screen got annoying after the movie progress plus it was this annoying black line. You also couldn't see Harry Scar. Plus someone brought a baby.

Second time I saw it, I remembered a lot more than I expected. And I went by myself too. The other 20 or so people there were completely behind me so it was like I was all alone heheh. It made funny scenes less amusing, and it made the cave scene a lot more tense.

Yeah, well I had a similar experience to yours when I saw OotP during the day so this time I decided to go to the midnight release. It was refreshing, NO kiddies, past their bedtime I presume :p I was just surrounded by a bunch of crazy screaming high schoolers, I think :lol:

But once the film started everyone had the sense to shut up! Though there was a lot of cheering and laughing at moments throughout :tu:

I've seen it once, but I'm planning to see it again when I can convince my mom and sister to finally go see it.

I prefer to see book adaptions twice, at least the ones I really care about. Why? Because the first time I criticize and can't help it. I enjoy it so much more the second time because I can sit back, relax, and enjoy the show :)

I won't lie, I've only seen it once so far, courtesy of my own computer (none of my friends were willing to go and I really wanted to see it), and the only reason I'd see it again is if it was in IMAX. I have only seen the film twice - once at the midnight showing, and the second time was the evening of July 17. I planned to see it again once it opened in the IMAX theatres, but, incredibly, my local IMAX theatre is not showing HBP. I was (and am) very irritated, since I was looking forward to watching my first Harry Potter film in IMAX. Now I will wait for my IMAX theatre to show HBP, but, in the meantime, I will probably watch it at least one more time in a normal cinema.

I second that, but I'm not really a fan of any of the movies beyond the first one. Although, I will admit that they have a fabulous cast and Broadbent as Slughorn was no exception.

But the actual experience of watching it in the theater wasn't as good as when I went to the midnight premiere, mainly because there was no whooping, cat-calls, snort-laughter, or any of the good stuff the people did during the premiere. :lol: I missed that. But it was still good. My friend and I were shaking with laughter the whole time (well, except for the last half hour of it).

Okay, I just saw it in Chicago before the exhibit (which is amaaaazing) for the 5th time. I currently don't have plans to see it again, though my little sister is currently reading the books for the first time and I'm sure she'll want to go again after she's read the 6th book.

The first time I was so aware of what was deleted and different from the book that I was disappointed.

The second time, I put the book out of my mind and enjoyed the film as a film on its own.

The third time, I really got it. The way the director made it character driven and not action driven.
This was in an early session with only 4 people in the theatre and it was brilliant, no popcorn eaters, drink slurpers or mobile phones lighting up and I could concentrate on the film.

Well having just come back from seeing it on IMAX (an amazing experience btw) I have now seen the movie 4.5 times.

The first (half) time I saw it at the midnight showing with a bunch of friends but it shut off midway through and we were given free movie passes.

The real (full) first time was the very next day with the same people who were also given the free passes (plus a few extra tagged along.)

The second time I saw it by myself one lazy sunday afternoon.

The third time I caught it in really good quality online.

The fourth time was the amazing IMAX experience :drool:

I'm not sure I'll see it again until DVD.

I finally got to see it for the 2nd time in IMAX last night. I know, pathetic huh, compared to all of you who've seen it multiple times. :sigh:

I saw it twice. Once the day it came out and again at the IMAX.

Four times. First time with fellow Potter crazies at midnight (perhaps not as crazy as me). Second time with my mom. Third time with a friend who's casually into Potter. Fourth time alone. I'll be going a fifth time Saturday with a friend who's pretty into Potter.

Just the once and I'm not planning on going again. Which is just something I don't do no matter what movie it is. Unless there's certain cirumstances. But that happens very rarely. I'll buy the dvd when it comes out and that's enough for me.

Due to circumstances somewhat beyond my control, I wound up seeing HBP only once! Perhaps I'll go to the second run cinema after all . . . or just wait for the DVD.

I saw it twice. Once with my family, and the second with a few of my friends.

Saw it twice: once with my family and again with my class (a reunion because we were a split class). Both times I enjoyed it immensely, though the second time the person beside me kept on whispering these comments: "It's a SOAP OPERA, I'm telling you!" "Why doesn't malfoy just leave the cloak off the cabinet?" and he screamed quite loudly at every kiss. Very immature :)

And I wanted to see it one more time :)... actually I just want to see it one more time but it's no longer in theaters.

Twice, once with my mom, a fellow Harry Potter fan, and another time with a friend of mine and his mother, and neither of them has ever touched one of the books. I almost screamed when I was with them, because the mom kept on asking silly questions like "why is Hermione so sad? You mean she likes Ron? That's ridiculous, she would do much better with Harry."

Wow, I saw it only twice, one on the regular movie theater and another on the 3D. I can't wait to get my hands on the DVD :)

i only saw the HBP film once in theaters and i couldnt bring myself to watch it again...in my opinion it was worst only after the OOTP film (sorry 2 you guys that loved it I'm not trying to offend you)
but i'll probably get the DVD when it comes out and after i watch it a few more times i might start to like it a little bit better

I've only seen it once and it was in the theaters... I don't like the movies that much, but i guess i'll watch all of the movies again when they are all out... and i'll go and see the last movie (both parts) in the theatre when it comes...

I've seen it once in theaters, and bought the DVD yesterday and am watching it for the 3rd time as I post this.

As of right now, three times. I saw it at a store (they were showing it on one of their TVs) and I saw it in theaters twice. I'm getting the DVD on December 14th.

During my second screening the film broke minutes before the movie ended - hence the "29/30."

During my second viewing in theaters, the theater had to be evacuated during the cursed necklace scene. Apparently someone was running from the police and decided to run into the theater.

I've enjoyed the movie more with each viewing.

Seeing how disappointing 3 of the 5 other movies were i am not bothering with it anymore.

I've watched my DVD two times and planning watching it few times until 25 December.

I've only seen the movie twice in the theaters. Once when it first came out and once when it hit the discount theater. Don't know when I will see the dvd. I can't afford to buy it yet and I'm number 143 for the library's hold list.

I just watched it for the second time :) But since I got it for Christmas, maaaaany times are to come :D I enjoy it so much!

I only saw it twice in theatres. once at the midnight showing and once with my friend and her little brother. I wanted so badly to see it with my friend who had just finished the book, but we never got the chance. Then I won the movie in a chinese auction at a christmas party and watched it on a really cold and rainy day... it was great! And then I got the blue-ray combo pack for christmas and watched it that night with my dad. So in total that's four times so far. I know that may seem like not that much, but I want to savor it!

3 times in the theatre, 3 times on dvd. Every time I watch it, I get more annoyed at what was left out but I've come to see more in the scene before Dumbledore is killed. Originally I couldn't believe that Harry wasn't jinxed but now I can see how it could be setting up Deathly Hallows by Dumbledore's insistence on Harry trusting him, whatever happens. Dumbledore's "Severus....please" isn't pleading but asking for the promised ending of his pain. It still doesn't make up for what was left out though.

I've seen so many people complain about Harry standing under the boards before Dumbledore dies, but it makes sense: Dumbledore literally begged Harry to trust him before Malfoy approached, and Harry was still bound to the conditions: he had to obey Dumbledore's every command without question, even if it meant hiding. This was a nice bit of foreshadowing for how much Harry had to trust Dumbledore's intentions during the events of DH, in my opinion. In the movie, seeing Harry trust Snape (who Dumbledore had specifically asked for) who shushed him in a "Don't worry, I'm going to disarm the Death Eaters from behind" kind the way was very tragic. So, I think Harry remaining under the boards until it was too late showed how much he trusted Dumbledore's judgment, above all else...even if he had to question said judgment.

In the film however Yates has set up the whole trust, doubt and betrayal thing nicely. The only problem I have is I don't care about the characters portrayed in the films - I care about the characters in the books. The characters on screen are shadows or stereotypes of their originals.

I watched this film three times in the cinema ... but couldn't manage to sit through a viewing on DVD. I don't think I will watch it again. There are so many reasons, but I don't care enough about this film at the moment to list them.

I agree with that part. . .Harry is too impetuous to have stood there and watched Dumbledore die. In the book, Dumbledore pretty much froze him and made him invisible. The first reason he knew Dumbledore was really dead was because the spell broke. And we know what he would have done if Dumbledore hadn't frozen him because, basically, the second he's free, he goes after Severus (:() and the other Death Eaters.

Anyway, as an answer to the question: This was my favourite book, and I wish the movie was a little better. Considering it's about the Half-Blood Prince, it really should have included more about Snape's past like the book did. . .plus, I really would have enjoyed some more Alan Rickman. :love: But anywho, I've seen it once in theatres, and then too many times to count out of theatres. :p XoX

Only once, when I went to see it on the big screen and that was enough. It's the only movie of the series I didn't even bother getting a dvd of. There are so many things done wrong in it, in my opinion. :grumble:

Once at the cinema as we wanted the cinema effect. Many times since it came out on DVD. Because of where we live we often find that it is cheaper to buy a movie when it comes out on DVD. It is only particular films that we go to the cinema for, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings etc.

since its showing on HBO ive watched HBP around eight times....lol..im starting to memorize all the lines in the movie.....

I don't really count, but I'd say between 5-10 times. I only saw it once in the theatres but I have the DVD so I like to watch it at home when I'm in a Harry Potter-ish mood.

I haven't been keeping count but I've watched HBP on HBO, on blu-ray and DVD many, many times. :lol: Maybe about 30 times. I am obsessive :p (and just love HP and HBP is my favorite film yet)

I saw it 4 times in theaters, and I think I've only sat down to watch the DVD once, and that was when I first got it. I have it on my iPod, so lots of times I'll just watch it from whatever point it's at for a few minutes.

I'd say I've probably seen it about 7 times total. It's my favourite HP film.
