Idina Menzel

I saw her in Wicked and RENT and loved her in both. Recently, I began to listen to some of her solo albums.
She proves that she is an amazing artist as well as actress in her albums:
Still Can't Be Still
and
I Stand

Both are amazing. Any thoughts?

And I agree, I love both of the albums you listed - also, another one of her albums, Here, is also fantastic.

I never got to see her in Wicked although I have the soundtrack. Both she and Kristin Chenoweth have amazing voices. I do own Rent as well as her CD. "I Stand" is one of my favorites.

I got to see Wicked in Broadway and i own the soundtrack and i just started listening to her solo album after i found out she had them :lol:

In my new "Catch-up-with-Wizard-of-Oz" phase, I think Idina Menzel is brilliant!

I first heard of her when I listened to my grandma's copy of the Wicked soundtrack. A month after I got my iPod nano, I downloaded it to my iPod, and then I fell in love with Defying Gravity and basically every song she sang on there. I then Googled Idina Menzel and found out she had Defying Gravity as a single, and downloaded it onto my iPod. A few months later, I found the official Idina Menzel website (where I found out she had a CD called I Stand), and joined the Idina Menzel Message Boards (http://board.idinamenzel.com).

I love every CD she has done! I can really relate to the lyrics in her songs, and I can listen to them on a daily basis.

Like many people, my initial exposure to Idina was in the theatre. I first bought the original Broadway cast recording of Wicked, and eventually Rent. I saw her in the movie Enchanted too (this was back when I wasn't quite a fan of hers yet). In July 2008 I saw her in concert and was really reeled in. I'm a fan of Glee and immensely enjoyed her appearances on the show.

I first saw her in Rent as Maureen and fell in love with her as an actress. Her character Maureen bugged me, but her voice was amazing. I listened to the Wicked soundtrack with an ex and got all of her albums as soon as I saw that she was a musician on top of all of the acting and Broadway she does. I admire that she's not only a good musician, but a good person as well- from reading interviews.

Idina Menzel is one of my favorite singers/actresses! I'm a huge broadway fan...Rent and Wicked are 2 of my favorites and I love all of her songs from "I Stand".
