Ian Hart was *PERFECT* as Quirrell. Not only did he have the look down, but he captured the stutter perfectly. "TROLL! IN THE DUNGEON! Thought you ought to know..." was classic.

:agree: He was absolutely great. Not exactly what I imagined, though.

I liked how he managed so well to switch from a stuttering Quirrel to a bully, down in that chamber. :tu:

I thought he was super- he got the change spot on!
He didn't look exactly as expected, but hey, no-one is perfect :) x

Yes, he did do a fabulous job. I love how easily he shifted between "stuttering Quirrell" and his other side. Some of my favorite lines in the first film are due to his acting:

"What is this magic?!"
"Trollll...in the DUNGEON!!!"

I loved how Ian Hart played Quirrell! I remember back in 2001-2002 (my absolute highest point of obsession with Harry Potter ) I was saddened by the fact that Ian Hart wouldn't be able to return for the rest of the movies, for obvious reasons. I thought he was fantastic.

One of my favorite bits with Quirrell is his nervous laugh. It comes about like a high-pitched hum sometimes. And when he told the kids to get out of the bathroom because the troll might wake up, the troll suddenly growls and Quirrell gets so startled

He made such as impression as Quirrell that any other role he does is spoiled for me. Hart portrayed Dr. Watson in two Sherlock Holmes movies and all I could think of was 'Quirrell, Quirrell'!!:lol:

I also thought Ian Hart was the perfect Quirrell. He did get the nervousness and stuttering down very well, but was able to switch seamlessly into someone with a strong voice at the end. My favorite Quirrell scene was the "Troll in the dungeon!" one - he played that very well. :agree:

If anyone wants to re-watch the infamous scene in HD to appreciate Hart's portrayal, here you go:

I liked Ian Hart's potrayal of Quirrell, particulary the stuttering sentences and nervous twitches and laugh. That final scene he appeared in where he switched from meek to more aggressive and forceful was brilliant.

I think he was an amazing Quirrel. I did watch the movie before reading the book, but his portrayal was very memorable and I found it difficult to imagine any other Quirrel (and I usually imagine the characters slightly differently from what they were in the movies, even if they were in the movies I saw before reading the books).
Ian Hart displayed an amazing acting range and I thought he was brilliant.

I loved this about him too :D I thought he was fantastic and I would love to see him in more movies.
