Underoath

I am in no way religious, but I love the band Underoath. Their lyrics still mean a lot to me in different ways, they perform great live (saw 'em twice) and are really nice guys (met them once.) What is everyone else's thoughts on Underoath? :)

One of the worst live bands I've seen (and I've seen hundreds upon hundreds of bands. Seen Underoath twice; once at their own show, once at a festival) but I really like their studio work. They're Only Chasing Safety is a fantastic album. Met Aaron earlier this yaer when The Almost came to Australia (The Almost are great too, prefer them to Underoath in a few ways actully) and he's lovely.

Really? The times I saw them they were really good. I was in the front the first time I saw them. That was in 2008. (The Almost is great as well, I agree.) They are such nice guys they even let me take pictures with them. :) I love that album and Define The Great Line. Their newer one is good, but not as good as the others IMO.

Yeah both times were really, really awful (but not as bad as Paramore) IMO which was a shame 'cos both times I was really looking forward to them :shrug: I agree about the new stuff. It's ok, but no where near as good as earlier albums IMO.

I am so surprised what year(s) did you see them?

2007 (headline), 2009 at Soundwave Festival. Spencer's voice leaves a lot to be desired.

Hmm, interesting. Sounded great to me. :/ I guess to each his own though. :)
And, I saw them in '08 and '09. '08 was so much better than '09 though, but I still thought they were great. I hope Spencer's vocals don't give out too much like M. Shadow's voice did. :(
