I just finished reading this book: Problem Solving 101: A simple book for smart people (http://www.shelfari.com/books/5412615/Problem-Solving-101-A-Simple-Book-for-Smart-People) by Ken Watanabe, a Japanese author. I'm not really into self-development books, (actually I secretly call them self-destruction books :p). And I was reluctant to read this one at first (my dad gave it to me). However it turned out to be a really amazing book!
The author introduces the Problem solving techniques through three intriguing stories. These techniques, I think, could work for both; simple problems and complicated ones (since it shows how you could/should break big ones to smaller ones). It also shows how one should put a plan for a certain goal they want to achieve.
The book is full of diagrams and illustrations, which makes it a really easy read, for people from all ages and interests. If you didn't benefit from the techniques (which I personally don't see how), at least you've read some nice stories!
For those who haven't read, I'd really like to recommend it. If you have, I'm looking forward to see how you liked it! :D
