:relax:
I hope the menu hasn't changed much. I'm addicted to the Lucius Latte, and to your delicious Dark Lord Donuts, RDE.

RDE! Where have you been hiding yourself? Were you transfigured for all that lost time into one of the chairs?
Silly Lyra... the Dark Lord doesn't AK Muggle soulmates! He uses them to do his bidding in the Muggle press. Voldemort, Rita, Perez - a perfect trio.
Oh, and a SevCafe please.
*sits down to enjoy the dark ambience*
snapespet April 3rd, 2011, 7:19 pm The SPSSW is now a group. I had to, we already have shirts!
I'll have a strong SevCafe please, I need after reading all the Snape spoilers for DH2.
SadiraSnape April 4th, 2011, 6:24 am May I have a nice SevCafe, extra dark chocolate, and a big warm armful of Sevvy Muffin? Nom nom nom...
Here are some more lights... it's just so darn dark!!!

I'd be halfway tempted to get one of these...
eliza101 April 4th, 2011, 10:04 am Thank the good dark lord, no more pink.
Peppermint tea with lemon and jump to it. I have the dark lord's ear you know. It's here in my bag.
TreacleTartlet April 4th, 2011, 10:07 am Thank the good dark lord, no more pink.
The "good dark lord"? :hmm: Anyway, I wouldn't speak too soon, as Iggy always wears pink when she is on duty here. So your tea might be served along with a blaze of pink.:D
A SevCafe and a Sevy muffin for me please Iggy.
ignisia April 4th, 2011, 10:36 am Today's special is pomegranate iced tea, so we're not entirely free of pink. ;)

Here's your SevCafe and SevyMuffin, TT! :D
eliza101 April 4th, 2011, 11:30 am Management, management. Why don't you have Earl Grey? It would go with the decor.
LyraLovegood April 4th, 2011, 2:38 pm There are no Earls in the Wizarding World, any more than there are princes.
Although if there were, I'm sure Lucius would be one. Or more likely a Duke; I'm sure he'd love being addressed as "Your Grace" by blood traitors like the Weasleys.
One Lucius Latte, please.
:relax:
eliza101 April 4th, 2011, 4:03 pm Peppermint Tea with lemon.
Yes, Lucius does love to think of himself as something special. Self delusion is sad.
In honour of the Royal Wedding I will be making Scones with homemade strawberry jam and clotted cream or Devonshire Splits with jam and clotted cream. Orders please. Clotted cream and treacle, referred to this side of the pond as 'thunder and lightning' is also available. In honour of Harry's favourite, treacle tart. Side bets on the wedding dress are:
Silk 100-1
Lace 5-2
Satin 5-2.
SadiraSnape April 4th, 2011, 4:11 pm Peppermint tea with lemon and jump to it.
Pardon me? I don't jump for anyone... except maybe Sir. Maybe.
Here's your Fawkes La-Mint Tea. We're out of lemons. And sorry, can't leave the pot this time. (Hint: "Please" goes a long way, you know...)

Love the new decor, very Voldemort and not at all like the old cafe when it got overtaken by you-know-what. One Lucius Latte please.
Do you mind if I add a photo of the cafe's namesake? We shan't forget who this placed is named after (and who it is not).

Devonshire Splits are really nice with something as sweet as treacle.

I'm the evening librarian tonight so I think I need another SevCafe!
LyraLovegood April 4th, 2011, 11:23 pm Hm.
I said please, and no-one ever banged my Latte up on the counter.
Guess I'm back to having to brew my own...

The "Slayed" Institute, maybe?
You don't like it? It was a correspondence course by Gilderoy Lockhart :upset:
:rotfl: Perez Hilton. Really? *Imagines Lord Voldemort having a conversation on Twitter or the likes with Perez Hilton*
Would be fun though wouldn't it?
RDE! Where have you been hiding yourself? Were you transfigured for all that lost time into one of the chairs?
No, studying and redecorating mostly.
Perez Hilton? What has he done to earn your love?
He's amusing me.
I never honor the Dark Lord. Never.
You never know :elaugh:
LyraLovegood April 5th, 2011, 2:02 pm Iggy, as I said, I always liked pink. It's shocking pink surrounding the Potions Master that makes me look for the bucket.
Did the bucket get brought along? Or did it become a sad victim of Randomy's redecorating rage? I hope that at least the peacock mugs & cupcakes survived.
*warms up the espresso machine*

leah49 April 5th, 2011, 5:42 pm Getting killed twice by kids doesn't say much about one's villain rep. :elaugh: That's true. He's a terrible villian, but he did lend his name to this coffee shop and for that I have to be a teeny bit appreciative.
I never honor the Dark Lord. Never.
And yet you come to his coffee shop.
ignisia April 5th, 2011, 5:45 pm Ah, but you see, we never pay. We just continue to drain his resources and paint his cafe pink. Success! :tu: :elaugh:
leah49 April 5th, 2011, 5:48 pm Ask RDE if he wants us to pay (maybe he doesn't care and we're not hurting him like we thought). The pink is nauseating, not success. This isn't Madam Puddifoots or Cafe Umbridge. No pink. I'd rather eat sweat socks.

Daggerstone April 7th, 2011, 6:10 am Besides the idea of Snape in shorts :eeep:
Shorts are now obligatory equipment the Carribean? :hmm:
Did I miss some legislation updates in the region, or are you simply projecting your fashion sense on Professor, RDE?
Let take over? It's the Random Death Eater who owns the place.
We own the copyright to the menu contents. But the patrons can always gnaw on chair legs, of course... :relax:
I never thought you would make your presence known in the coffee shop named after you. Good thing we got rid of all that Severus Snape stuff.
Oh, yes. The Dark Lord is so much better choice...http://www.smilies-and-more.de/pics/smilies/tired/018.gif
it's quite amusing witnessing a Malfoy lecture and suddenly his robes and cane are being munched and chewed on.
Yes, I see the entertainment factor being quite high there... especially as he can't dock payment from equines.
Planning on convincing him to sell?
Just a couple of foals, why?
Don't tell me he got "financially attached" to them too.

No Aberforth tendancies if that's what you're insinuating. He wants a decent price for them (a reimbursement for the clothes, furniture and kitchen damage). They seem to run amok . . . can't imagine who lets them do that.
I suppose, I'd better make sure Dracocoa is up to Malfoy standard.

A SevCafe to go please.
eliza101 April 7th, 2011, 10:06 pm Indeed.
It's late as as Horlicks does not seem to be on the menu, I shall make some and retire.
merrymarge April 7th, 2011, 11:55 pm How about Snape in Speedos?
ccollinsmith April 8th, 2011, 2:37 am Well, if I had to choose between him and Snape...

Okay.

leah49 April 8th, 2011, 5:22 pm How about Snape in Speedos?
You have succeeded in making me sick.
As soon as I am better, I would like one Narcissa Frappucino. Oh, I don't remember if I got that name right or not. I'm sure you know what I mean.
snapespet April 8th, 2011, 5:46 pm I usually order SevCafe but I think I'll try the Fawkes Tea today. I'm coming down with a cold; tea and honey sounds comforting.
Where is everyone?
Leah49, here's your Narcissa Frappucino. Do you want any Dark Lord donuts? :)

Sinistra_Furze April 8th, 2011, 8:44 pm I was offered chocolate mousse tonight, but it was screaming with cardamom...what a waste :sigh:
Half my house is sick, I hope I don't catch it. A Dracocoa is in order, I think.
I'll pass on the muffins, just some hard biscuits, please. :)
leah49 April 8th, 2011, 10:15 pm Leah49, here's your Narcissa Frappucino. Do you want any Dark Lord donuts? :)
No, thank you. The Frappuccino is delicious.

That young Draco needs a few lessons in how to charm. You don't get anywhere in business by pouting.
merrymarge April 9th, 2011, 2:53 pm I didn't mean to make anyone sick with my last statement. I was trying to be funny.
Could I have a cup of Dracocoa. it's a bit colder today and rainy.
LyraLovegood April 9th, 2011, 4:49 pm Wow, Draco's a bit behind the times, isn't he? That's what comes of your family being out of favor. We've been serving Dracocoa's, Lucius Latte's and icy cold Narcissa Frap's since... *goes back to check the dates from before the redecoration...*
:upset: oh noes oh noes oh noes, the old Cafe Voldemort has been deleted! :upset: that's terrible! It was full of such fun stuff!! :upset:
I'm going to need a MacNair Mocha to cheer me up. And I need next week's dozen Dark Lord Donuts right now, for medicinal purposes. Chocolate fixes everything. Or at least, it stops me crying about most things...
:(
leah49 April 9th, 2011, 5:21 pm Wait... someone actually used my name for hot chocolate? Why has no one given me money for using my name? :grumble:
Prove that it's your name and not someone or something else's.
Chocolate fixes everything.
You've been talking to Professor Lupin, haven't you? ;) Here, have a bar of Remus J. Lupin's Magic Cure-All. I prefer the extra strength, dark variety.
LyraLovegood April 9th, 2011, 5:36 pm Thanks, Leah. But I knew of the secret healing powers of chocolate before I met Remus. He's right, of course, and his is *takes a bite* absolutely scrumptious. I never imagined a connection between chocolate and werewolves before, though.
leah49 April 9th, 2011, 5:46 pm I don't know what it is, but I like it.
ccollinsmith April 9th, 2011, 8:11 pm I think Remus learned about the properties of chocolate from Gertie. ;)
snapespet April 9th, 2011, 8:19 pm I think I'll try a bar of Lupin's Magic Cure All in dark chocolate. Hopefully, it will take care of my cold. Anyone who likes chocolate is a friend of mine :agree:
eliza101 April 9th, 2011, 9:08 pm Woo Hoo Hoo, get this lady a cup of mint tea, please, pretty please, please. Guess what, there is a shop in Aberdeen Scotland that has opened up and it sells American candy. Well they're called sweeties this side of the pond. I got a Butterfinger bar. They had Tootsie Rolls but I always thought they were like chewing chocolate flavoured plastic. Wow, I'm a happy bunny. All I've had for years is Cadburys Dairy Milk. OK. it lovely but sometimes it's nice to have a change. Reeses Peanut Butter Cups and Hershey Kisses. Ah, memories.
ccollinsmith April 10th, 2011, 3:03 am Note to self: American candy puts Eliza in an exceptionally good mood.
Here Eliza. Try one of these...

snapespet April 10th, 2011, 4:52 pm Growing up, my parents had a chocolate store in our basement. They made hand dipped candy and peanut brittle. I still remember smelling the peanut brittle throughout the house. At school, my teachers frequently searched my desk because I smelled like chocolate. Never took any to school though, my parents wouldn't permit it.
Too bad the cafe doesn't offer sweets. I'll take a Dark Lord doughnut and a Narcissa Frapp please
leah49 April 10th, 2011, 6:10 pm We do have chocolate bars provided by Remus Lupin at the counter.

leah49 April 11th, 2011, 5:57 pm I've never had a Cadbury Flake bar so I can't compare, but I did look them up. From what I found, no. They're more like a Hershey bar.
merrymarge April 12th, 2011, 1:10 am Wormtail is alive. he is here in AZ, at Arizona State University. He chewed some electrical wires and caused a power outage at the University. he might have gotten a small shock, but after what he went through with Voldemort, an electrical shock is nothing. lol.
FutureAuthor13 April 12th, 2011, 7:59 am I've never had a Cadbury Flake bar so I can't compare, but I did look them up. From what I found, no. They're more like a Hershey bar.

Ah, Cadbury flake in an ice cream cone. Who doesn't love a 99. I really like the commercial where she was in a gypsy wagon. Culture you know.
Any mint tea, I would love a cup with my Flake, please.
Bigger jeans, must get bigger jeans.
Pearl_Took April 12th, 2011, 11:58 am
I prefer plain chocolate, like Green & Black's ( ) but if I have to have milk chocolate, then Cadbury's is the best.
And I have to be honest and say that the Cadbury's Flake completely pwns the Hershey bar (and yep I've had Hershey bars. Didn't like 'em!)
A Sevvymuffin and a Lucius Latte to go, please!

They're not popular on this side of the pond. I do hear Cadbury is huge in England.
And I have to be honest and say that the Cadbury's Flake completely pwns the Hershey bar (and yep I've had Hershey bars. Didn't like 'em!)
Can't compare. I would like to try the Flake. I'm just going by the way Remus's chocolate bar looks. I'm sure it tastes loads better than anything we'll find in the Muggle world.
Sinistra_Furze April 12th, 2011, 6:20 pm And I have to be honest and say that the Cadbury's Flake completely pwns the Hershey bar (and yep I've had Hershey bars. Didn't like 'em!)
Yeah, I was disappointed with Hershey bar. Green and Blacks is good, esp the darker ones.
Sainsbury's Santo Domingo dark bar is nice to nibble.
Hotel Chocolat does some more-ish bars.
There's a shop on Piccadilly that has bars at £6 per 100g. Dry, but full of flavours.
Mmmmm. A Dracocoa please, with Gorgon biscuits. Thx.

Thank you so much for the mint tea Lyra. I take plain, with no sugar. I am on a diet you know.
FutureAuthor13 April 12th, 2011, 7:38 pm Lindt Lindor is always nice. :agree:
snapes_witch April 12th, 2011, 9:07 pm I hate to say it since I more or less grew up munching on Hershey bars, but they're much inferior to European chocolate. Probably because they're made with sour milk! Eewww!
Cadbury, of course, is a British company, or was as it was recently purchased by the company that owns Hershey -- Kraft?? Hopefully the quality won't be affected.
Sinistra_Furze April 12th, 2011, 9:43 pm French and Italian chocolates of the higher qualities remain in the memory as smooth, fruity, rich...*drools*
LyraLovegood April 12th, 2011, 10:46 pm I'm okay with Hershey bars, as they're what I'm used to. I do like Special Dark better than their regular milk chocolate ones, and I enjoy an occasional krackle bar (with crisped rice cereal in).
Lindoor is good, I think, and Lady Godiva and Dove chocolates are also nice. I'd love the opportunity to try some real Swiss or Italian chocolates; I'm sure they'd be beyond droolworthy!
But, as Leah said, I doubt if anything in the Muggle world really compares to what's available at Honeyduke's. I bet Remus Lupin's bars are excellent, too; there's a Professor who really gets it about chocolate.
SadiraSnape April 13th, 2011, 5:05 am (slinks in darkly, hunches in corner... a dark, dark corner...)

leah49 April 14th, 2011, 6:06 pm I love the mug for the Weird Sisters Black. Too bad I don't like my coffee black.
LyraLovegood April 14th, 2011, 6:51 pm Hm. I'm glad the Mugs & Menu survived at the very least. And I know Iggy saved some of the pink & frills, so perhaps Mortimer the Manticore is all right as well.
Now for some Latte!
Was there ever a design concept for the MacNair Mocha? Maybe a chocolate brown mug with a scythe on? Or perhaps the mug should be closer to the color of the Red Velvet Cake, as I seem to recall the MacNair Mocha having a distinctive reddish-brown colour.
merrymarge April 14th, 2011, 10:10 pm I am getting hungry and thirsty with this talk of chocolate and special drinks. Trying to choose, trying to choose. I think I'll go with the Remus chocolate bar, please, and an Iced tea, too.
ccollinsmith April 15th, 2011, 2:57 am I'm studying for a Math exam, so I'll take a very strong SevCafe please.
snapespet April 15th, 2011, 2:29 pm Here's your strong SevCafe CC. I think I'll order one also, I have to read to two classes today.
LyraLovegood April 15th, 2011, 5:34 pm I have to make a couple changes to my Ancient Runes homework and finish my Arithmancy homework and turn them in before work. Also I signed up for a cross-culture conversation partner again. I had a youn engineering student from Korea for my partner last Spring; I wonder who they have planned for me this time! Hopefully someone who will come to enough meetings that I'll get my participation certificate. They didn't give me one last year on account of my partner never showing up for our last meeting and never turning in her log & final essay!
leah49 April 15th, 2011, 7:38 pm Darn your partner, Lyra!
One Lucius Latte, please.
ccollinsmith April 16th, 2011, 4:33 am Thanks for the strong SevCafe, snapespet. It worked. :D
Unless my calculations are way off, I aced the exam and will make an "A" in the class with plenty of room to spare.
So how about another strong SevCafe, while I muster up the courage to finish up the courses I'm teaching! ;)
(Speaking of which, I get to teach a course in the Cinema of Alfred Hitchcock in the Fall term! I'm currently working on the blurb to put in the catalog and marketing materials)
snapes_witch April 16th, 2011, 6:35 am I'd love to take the Hitchcock course, CCS!
LyraLovegood April 16th, 2011, 6:38 pm My Conversation Partner is Korean again, but this time it's a woman who's been teaching English to schoolchildren 10-12 years old for fifteen years. So, not as young, and probably more likely to follow through.
*brews 2 Lucius Latte's, in case Leah still wants one 23 hours later*
If she doesn't, I'll drink it after I've had my own. :D
snapespet April 18th, 2011, 7:37 pm Hmm, I've not seen the cafe so empty before. :hmm: Guess I'll get my own SevCafe and a SevMuffin.
Sinistra_Furze April 18th, 2011, 8:06 pm Hi snapespet,

I'll fetch myself a Dracocoa.

Sinistra_Furze April 19th, 2011, 12:15 am Ahhhhhh - thanks Daggerstone.
*slurp*
They'll be back...
In the meantime I'll put my feet up with a good book and my favourite music..
snapespet April 19th, 2011, 1:59 pm I'll have a strong SevCafe and a SevMuffin. My book club meets soon and I've already been told they 'hate' the book. It's Homer and Langley by Doctorow. As long as I have my SevCafe, they can bring it on. I'm ready :relax:
leah49 April 19th, 2011, 6:18 pm I'm back. The Lucius Latte is great, Lyra, many hours later.
LyraLovegood April 19th, 2011, 10:19 pm I'm back too, for the moment. Mass staff meetings on campus means no classes today. Though there still seems to be plenty of homework, at least in Arithmancy & Ancient Runes. Charms homework is light this week, but there will be an exam tomorrow. Floating Tables... this will be fun.
Maybe I'll paractice here . . .

Wingardium Leviosa!

ccollinsmith April 20th, 2011, 2:45 am snapes_witch, here's the blurb I wrote for the Hitchcock class...
We may know him as the “Master of Suspense,” a cultural icon, or the man who made a generation shiver at the thought of stepping into the shower; but however we know him best, Alfred Hitchcock rose from humble origins to enjoy one of the longest and most influential careers in cinema history. Revered by filmmakers and loved by audiences worldwide, Hitchcock’s work has been obsessively viewed, discussed, and dissected. This course will examine the director’s cinematic origins in the silent era, his contributions to the theory and practice of sound cinema, his impact on popular culture, key themes and images that recur throughout his work – and, of course, films from each of his major periods. Readings will include selections from the interviews, Hitchcock’s own writings, and critical analyses.
Presidential visit on campus meant no class on campus (for me) today. I decided last night to move the class to Blackboard. We - i.e. faculty and students - didn't learn of the visit until yesterday afternoon (hush hush, top secret, tight security, and all that). So everybody had to scramble to figure out what to do about classes.
Anyway, may I have a SevCafe, please?
SadiraSnape April 20th, 2011, 3:39 am Grrrr. Where's my giant grumpy face image.... this'll work
http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Y4Up4ekjxlo/Swu06YmbbBI/AAAAAAAAAr8/-lFpzJnIjoo/s1600/bursting-with-joy.jpg
After 2 or 3 days of random locking up, "overclocking failed" errors (when I don't overclock), missing boot drives, and just general shenanigans, my computer's motherboard and cpu have befouled themselves most horribly.
So now I am typing on the teeny tiny keyboard of our emergency Dell laptop, and for every 5 characters I type I'm accidentally fat-fingering backspace, space, shift, or some other random key which is most decidedly NOT the key I want.
So. May I please please please have an extra large, extra dark SevCafe with 2 or 3 bars of Lupin's Chocolate, please? It'll be the 22nd before I get my new mobo, cpu and memory... so I will be effectively computer crippled til then.
Daggerstone April 20th, 2011, 2:43 pm http://i594.photobucket.com/albums/tt25/Daggerstone/sevcafe.png
You don't mind if I join you, ladies? I'm decidedly in a need of something more bitter than my mood. :grumble:
snapespet April 20th, 2011, 4:29 pm I'll take a SevCafe, strong please. I was up all night with tornado warnings, sirens, and a frightened dog.:relax:
GrimeldaDursley April 20th, 2011, 4:32 pm Hi, I've never been here before, can you recommend something to get me going today? I feel so poopy and lethargic!
Daggerstone April 20th, 2011, 5:25 pm My personal favourite - Weird Sisters Black:

It either sends you into a caffeine coma, or lifts your spirits significantly. :relax:
leah49 April 20th, 2011, 5:45 pm Maybe I'll paractice here . . .
*points wand at table full of SevCafe bottles*
Wingardium Leviosa!
*table floats gracefully across the Cafe without jostling a single drop out the neck of the bottles*
 good job!
Sinistra_Furze April 20th, 2011, 8:00 pm Should be out enjoying a play, but feeling ill.
Hope the computer goes OK Sadirasnape. I have a great grumpy cat pic but it's not FF.
Put your feet up, GrimeldaDursley, and chill. It's quiet now, but will liven up..
SadiraSnape April 20th, 2011, 9:12 pm I know that cat...
It's so warm today, I could do with some iced tea.
http://hub.sierratradingpost.com/images/wpuploads/2010/08/iced-tea.jpg
That's the ticket. Notice NO LEMON. Lemon in iced tea is a sacrilege.
I'm toying with the idea of getting a liquid cooling kit for the new CPU.... it can get right warmish in there... hmmmmm....
merrymarge April 21st, 2011, 2:55 am Some ice tea please. and lemon. Lemon adds the right taste, not too tart and it keeps the tea from being too sweet from sugar. And, are there any Easter Cookies?
thanks.
Nnylarak April 21st, 2011, 7:50 am *pokes head in, and looks around*
LyraLovegood April 21st, 2011, 1:58 pm Caffeine coma? I never heard of that. Is that the crash that comes after you've had too much too strong too fast, and you can't do anything but watch your vision go fuzzy and listen to your head pound?
I'd like a Lucius Latte this morning, and also I need some motivation to get my day started. You know, the whole take-a-shower-and-go-to-school lark.
Warm? Where is it warm? It's still freezing where I'm sitting. I can't tell you how tired I am of shivering uncontrollably and defrosting my broom every morning before kicking off!
:welcome: Grimelda and Nnylarak! Come on in, the coffee's fine, as long as you don't 1. tease the Manticore, 2. annoy Nagini, or 3. slip in Snapefan drool!
Daggerstone April 21st, 2011, 2:11 pm Warm? Where is it warm?
Eastern Europe.

LyraLovegood April 21st, 2011, 4:03 pm Can I come visit? Like I said, it's freezing over here, and I'm tired of being cold!
Thanks for the Latte, Daggsy.
:relax:

Here in Georgia, USA. It went from highs in the low 70's to almost 90 degrees in just a couple of days -- we had to turn on the air conditioner a couple days ago!!
It's too warm too early in the year -- we should still be in open windows weather.
leah49 April 21st, 2011, 6:26 pm Should be out enjoying a play, but feeling ill. Feel better!
One Lucius Latte Please!

You're from Georgia? I was born and raised there (until after 9th grade when I moved to NC) and now reside in South Carolina. I've still got family in Georgia so I go back all the time. Sometimes it feels like Georgia is closer to the sun. It's not just warmer there, but the sun is brighter there, too, honestly.

You should come to the southeast (I'm pretty sure the southwest is warm, too, but I'm not there) part of the US. Here in upstate SC it's in the mid-upper 70'sF.
TreacleTartlet April 21st, 2011, 6:49 pm Warm? Where is it warm?
North Wales! :D

Well, in that case, can I have an iced Lucius Latte? Here in the desert, it turned summertime a couple weeks ago :)
... You could come visit, if you don't mind constant wind. It's impossible to fly a broomstick here.
LyraLovegood April 21st, 2011, 7:25 pm *bangs a hot Lucius Latte up on the counter for Leah and an iced one (if you like, you could try the iced Narcissa Frappucino next time, which is meant to be served cold) for Nnylarak*
*grabs another hott Lucius and sits down to socialize*
:relax:
Honestly, mid-seventies sounds lovely to me! It's been mid-to low 50's at the highest around here, except this one weekend when it actually got up to about 68. I assume we're talking degrees Fahrenheit, as those temperatures in Celcius would be deadly, amiright?
But I was hearing about storms and tornadoes and hurricanes or something in the US southwest. Is all that over? Because if it's still going on I might rather visit Wales! Or Serbia, as Daggsy said it's warm where she lives too.
Here, the wind is still feeling as icy as if it blew straight down off the ice caps of the Rocky Mountains, or possibly even the North Pole. Brrr. I'm cold just thinking of going out to collect my broom and head for Bothell! I need a cream puff or something, though, as my belleh feels entirely too empty.

Yep, born and raised here. My mother's family was here in 1802, and the land stayed in the family until just recently -- my son and I were the sole survivors of the family, and we decided jointly to sell it and move over to the west side of the state, to be closer to my husband's family.
If you ever heard me talk, there'd be no question where I was from!
snapespet April 21st, 2011, 8:18 pm Its pleasant here today, lots of sun and in the high 50's
Does the cafe have any cupcakes?
Nnylarak April 21st, 2011, 10:35 pm Thanks for the specialty drink, Lyra. I'll keep the Narcissa Frappucino in mind next time :)
Snapespet, how about this?

snapespet April 22nd, 2011, 1:44 am Nnylarak thanks for the Voldycake, just the high dose of sugar and butter I was looking for.
Have to hide it from my dog or she'll try her best to take it from me :)
merrymarge April 22nd, 2011, 5:04 am can't you share with your dog?
snapespet April 22nd, 2011, 11:38 am With Sadie, it's all or nothing. She won't stop until she has it all.
I think I'll start my morning with a SevCafe and a VoldyCake *hides VoldyCake from Sadie* :relax:
SadiraSnape April 22nd, 2011, 2:57 pm All my computer parts came yesterday, so today is going to be a Build The Computer Day. Wish me luck that I don't have a screaming fit trying to get everything to talk to each other -- the SATA hard drives seem to be the most peculiar. And you should see the big honkin' heat sink and fan I have for the CPU!!
In light of needing to be on my toes, could I have an extra strong SevCafe and a couple of Sevvy Muffins?
Sinistra_Furze April 22nd, 2011, 3:54 pm *fingers crossed*
hope it goes well SS
leah49 April 22nd, 2011, 5:40 pm Lyra, don't come here today. It's not warm anymore. :sigh:

Cool. :D
LyraLovegood April 22nd, 2011, 10:07 pm The sun is shining, but it's so cold. And I had coffee 24 hours ago, so my brain is screaming for more caffeine now. It stinks to be so sensitive to the cold and to the caffeine!
merrymarge April 23rd, 2011, 5:23 am Well, there is always Phoenix, AZ. It is now in the 90's. If you can't move here, maybe you can put up some tropical decorations around your place and think warm thoughts. To me, it's a trade-off. Roast in the summer while everyone else is comfortable and be comfortable in the winter while everyone else freezes.
The older I get, the more sensitive to the cold I get. I am cold when it is 60 degrees outside.
SadiraSnape April 23rd, 2011, 6:00 am The build is complete, but still have to get all the hardware talking to the software and vice versa. Had to reinstall Windows (argh) but luckily I have backups of everything so tomorrow I'll be restoring missing bits (like 5 years' worth of email :wow: ) and convincing the network card that it does, indeed, exist and can access the internet...
Ah, computers. As tricky and ephemeral as the most difficult potion, but as beautiful and complex as the finest Transfiguration spell. When they work, life is good; when they don't, it's as sad as losing a button off one's cloak...
May I have a fortifying SevCafe, extra chocolate, and 3 Brandy Snapes? I feel the need for some sugary chocolatey goodness with my caffeine.
merrymarge April 23rd, 2011, 3:36 pm what would we have done without computers? we would probably use quill and parchment and send letters via owls.
Daggerstone April 23rd, 2011, 4:32 pm I'll be restoring missing bits (like 5 years' worth of email :wow: )
Which is precisely why I keep my mail (all 12 years of it) on the server and never download. :D

When they work, Sadi, so do I - life is not "good", it's busy. :sigh:

Sorry... Mortimer nicked one. :grumble:
snapespet April 23rd, 2011, 5:58 pm 3 Brandy Snapes
The cafe serves alcohol? And I've been drinking plain SevCafes all this time? :grumble:
Do you have any of Snape's elf made wine available?
leah49 April 23rd, 2011, 6:21 pm what would we have done without computers? we would probably use quill and parchment and send letters via owls.
Be lonely, bored, and not talk about Harry Potter.

Unfortunately, the "brandy" in the Brandy Snapes is just brandy flavoring. But I believe Spinner's End keeps a good supply of the Real Stuff around...
Nnylarak April 24th, 2011, 4:53 am Please tell me we have a drink called a Draco Coco.
SadiraSnape April 24th, 2011, 5:16 am That would be a Wee Dracocoa...
http://i594.photobucket.com/albums/tt25/Daggerstone/Dracocoa.jpg
merrymarge April 25th, 2011, 2:35 am Yes, I'll have a Wee Dracocoa and a Brandy Snape, please. Is it possible for me to get the recipe for the Brandy Snapes?
Nnylarak April 25th, 2011, 4:44 am It's stormy outside. A Wee Dracocoa for me too, please!
(And perhaps someone to write and deliver my communications speech? I'll pay Galleons!) ;)
SadiraSnape April 25th, 2011, 5:13 am Yes, I'll have a Wee Dracocoa and a Brandy Snape, please. Is it possible for me to get the recipe for the Brandy Snapes?
Check your inbox, I believe an owl has brought you the recipe...
Here are your Brandy Snapes, complete with buttons

Of course, will I OWL it? The Royal Wedding is on Friday. I'll be serving a proper Cream Tea, (only in my case, coffee) Scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam, Victoria Sponge, gingerbread (gilded of course), and finger sandwiches. Champagne for afters. Orders please.
snapespet April 25th, 2011, 3:00 pm Eliza101, may I have the recipe too?
What kind of scones are available? I'd love some Victoria Sponge!
I heard that Prince William is having a cookie cake for his groom's cake. Sounds yummy.
LyraLovegood April 25th, 2011, 3:50 pm Just to prove that studying those Muggle nutters that cut people up is completely taking over my brain cells...
Where Sadira posted "sugary," for wanting a sugary treat, my eyes automatically "corrected" it to surgery. As in: I need surgery... and I was terribly concerned that we'd need to transport her to St. Mungo's for some proper Healing.
I need more sleep. But, since class is in less than an hour and I still have a couple parchments worth of homework to finish, I'll have to settle for a Lucius Latte. Do we have anything along the lines of a Cream Puff? It has to be a non-Snape-related cream puff for me, as excessive Sevviness tends to make me nauseous. ;)
