Has anyone seen Potted Potter?
I just saw an ad that it is coming to NYC. A parody of all 7 books in 70 minutes by a 2 man show. I know it's no 'A Very Potter Musical" but it looks pretty good. http://www.pottedpotter.com/

Thank you! I think that's all I need to hear to go and buy tickets. It looks funny - but it's hard to tell.
Do you think it would be appropriate for a 10 year old who has seen all the movies and read all the books?

Hi guys!
I saw this show with some friends when it was in Toronto and it was soooo hilarious!! I highly recommend it for any HP fan and even those that aren't will have loads of fun! I was a little skeptical in the beginning but was pleasantly surprised by the actor's ability to do all 7 books in 70 minutes.
There were people from all age groups when we attended. I believe it's suitable for 6 years+.
I hear it's opening up in New York this summer at the Little Shubert Theatre. Check here: www.pottedpotter.com

I can't believe I haven't posted since I saw the show. Very, very funny. Very age appropriate for anyone who has read the books. Several spoilers though, so be warned!
I don't know how they keep up the energy for the show, but they were particularly giddy the night we went. I think one of the audience volunteers was cracking the 2 guys up when she was on stage.
And I loved that one of the guys (clearly I can't remember their names) went around introducing himself and shaking everyone in the audience's hand before the show started.
I received a promo code for $20 off tickets, so it was that much more enticing to go. I'd add if you want to be interactive, sit in the front half of the theater, if not the back half is good. In NYC the theater has stadium seating so every seat is a good seat. Not that there is a lot to see - it's really 2 guys on a stage with very silly props.
(Code PPOTTER at BroadwayOffers dot com if anyone is interested. For NYC shows on Tues, Wed, Sun evenings until 8/12/2012) I will remove this after the date passes.
