Petunia's Memories

Hey all, first of all i'd like to say this is my first story here so hope you all like. Second i'd like to say thanks to Xeiqu who permitted me me to use his idea of Petunia having her bottom stair as her storage for her collections of magical memories and items. It is a good thread Petunia and the Creaky Stair (http://www.cosforums.com/showthread.php?t=48912)
Oh and i'll apoligise for the bad spelling in advance. :p

Petunia Dursley was a normal woman who had a normal husband and a normal son and thats the way she liked it, And the way she made it be. She loved her husband, she did, but she wasn't "in" love with him she never did. Vernon Dursley worked for a drill company called Grunnings and was highly paid at what he did. She met him through a dating agency he answered to her profile that she sent to them.

"Normal woman (18) seeks normal man (18-22) hobbies reading, cooking, cleaning. wants a man who can take care of a woman.wants possible love and marrige".

When she met him he couldn't have been any more what she wanted, he took her to a fancy restaurant and he let her know straight away that he was an old fashoined man.

"a womans place is at home" he said slightly spitting food on Petunia .
"cooking and cleaning, taking care of a family thats what a woman should do".

"I agree with you" said Petunia lying

"All i want to do is be a normal wife"

He was lovley to her, and in a month they were engaged to be married.

Well that was then, Petunia a young woman starting her life a life already doomed to be nothing just but an housewife. A few years after they got married Petunia got pregnant with her first child. She was so happy life was already starting to get dull with Vernon taking about drills all the time that a baby would give her life a new meaning, a little person to look after was something she was happy about.

Petunia wanted to tell her sister, they where such good friends at one point. They used to stay up all night and talk about their future and what they would be like when they where older. They fell out when Petunia turned seventeen their was no going back on what happened Petunia knew that, Lily hurt her alot and she hurt Lily too.

Lily was Petunia's older sister by a year and two months, she was beatiful, her long red hair swayed as she walked and her almond shaped green eyes sparkled even when in the moonlight.
But there was something different about Lily Evans though. she was a witch she had magical powers, which when she was younger Petunia loved. She loved it when she went to diagon alley the first time with Lily and her mam and dad to get her school items and books, who were so happy that lily was going to be a witch she was going to a place called Hogwarts.

Hogwarts was a school that withces and wizards go to, Petunia didn't even know that there were real wiches let alone a wizarding school! She thought is was a wounderful idea and woundered if she would ever go, after all Lily was so why wouldn't she have any magical powers too. Yes she would go no doubt it she thought what a lovely place it would be.

Lily always told Petunia how great it was she had an owl and regually wrote to her, she still had the first one she ever got delivered by Cirdog (Lily had name her owl that). she sat at home on the bottom of the stairs reading Lily's letter.

Petunia! It's brillient! you get chosen to go into your houses by a talking hat! it's called a sorting hat. Im in Gryfindor, there are other houses they are Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. I been told that all of the peple in Slytherin turn evil by a silly boy with the last name of Potter he is a bit of a jerk really. There is a nice boy in Slytherin though (well he seems nice) his name is Serverus Snape.

Petunia had all Lily's Letters that she wrote to her. She kept them in a loose floorboard in the bottom step of her staircase along with other things of Lily's including her wand. You see Lily didn't need her wand any more because she was dead, murdered by a bad wizard named Voldemort along with her husband who turned out to be the jerk named Potter, James Potter.

She remembered when she first heard about him his name made her shiver even though she didn't know how powerful and evil he was, Lily wrote:

"I've been told about this bad wizard, Tune, (thats what Lily called her sometimes) His name is Voldemort he has killed loads of people and has a group of followers called death eaters. He was in Slytherin (you remember how i told you most of the wizards in slytherin are bad well hes the worse). Its really scary he is well known with our kind here, but the muggles don't know anything about him. he kills them for fun because he hates muggles or (like me) any witch or wizard who is muggle born. I'm safe here though Hogwarts is one the most safest place in the world and is protected by powerful spells. Don't tell mam and dad about him all they will freak out."

Petunia remembered how she felt worrid about her sister after that letter, this man sounded evil, was she really safe at that place? Petunia told her mam and dad, she knew Lily said not to but she was worrid it was a mistake to tell them she regreted it afterwards.

"WHAT!" said Mrs Evans. she was very angry that Lily hadn't told her this.

"She is not staying at that school any longer! Its not safe for her to be there" said Mr Evans now slightly sweaty with worry.

"But mam, dad Lily says Hogwarts is the safest place for her its protected with magic!" said Petunia relising her mistake how could she have told them, what was she thinking?

"I'm going to that school now and i'm going to bring her back!" said Mr Evans

"maybe we are over reacting dear" said mrs Evans calming down. "We don't even know how to get to the school do we?

"No we don't. Petunia is Cirdog still here i want to get in touch with Lily and i see this is the only way" mr Evans said he had now calmed down.

"Yes i'll go and get him".

As she walked up the stairs she felt that she had betrayed her sister, she would be so upset that she had to come back she loved it there, maybe Lily would be able to change their minds. Yes she will Lily belonged at that place she felt it.

Lily stayed at Hogwarts her mam and dad never made her come home, they had a word with Professer Mcgonagal who was Lily's who was they deputy head. They still wasn't happy after what thay heard but there were many of insane and muderous people in the world and they don't worry about that everyday!

Lily wasn't very happy with Petunia though her next letter wasn't a happy any one.

Petunia was still sat at the bottom of the stairs and she read:

"Tune!, what was you thinking? Why did you tell mam and dad when i told you not to? Did you want me back that much!Fortunatly Professer Mcgonagal had a word with Mam and Dad and they seemed to calm down and let me stay. If they'd made me come home i would have been so mad with you! I love it here and you know i do. That was so spiteful! Send cirdog back with a letter pronto, and you better have a good excuse for telling them and do a lot of groverling for me to forgive you.

Petunia did send a letter back with Cirdog telling that she was worrid and Lily forgave her, from now on she promised Lily she would never tell Mam and Dad her secrets again!.

That was the first time Petunia betrayed Lily but not the last and not the last Letter of forgivness either Which Lily always excepted.

Lily was so kind, so beatiful its hard to see were they went wrong, why they stoped speaking. That was Petunia's fault she knew it was all her doing she read Lily's next letter and remembered who she longed to be with her while she read it.

"Tune, i forgot to tell you they have ghost here, all friendly of course, well there is Peeves of course, he's a poltergiest and a naughty one at that. He was throwing water bombs at me today! And that boy i told you about (Severus) told him off for me but Peeves ended up chasing him away this time throwing stink pellets at him(poor him) but the thought was kind, he seems really nice. Theres also a ghost called Nearly Headless Nick, he's Gryfindors ghost, he's called that because when someone killed him they took an axe to his neck but couldn't chop it all off! It's so brill here Tune it fells like a second home. I'm learning how to levitate things with a spell, you say Wingardium Leviosa and swish and flick your wand and its ace a can just manage a feather."

Petunia remember how she thought that was cool, she used to get her hair brush and say it over. One time she swore she did it! She practiced on a feather from her pillow. there was no one around to see it though. she was positive she had done it.

Petunia Remembered how she told Lily about she thought that she did they Wingardium Leviosa spell on a pillow feather, in her next letter she wrote:

"Thats brill, Tune! I don't know if you can actully do the spell with out a wand, but thats ace you'll soon be here with me i'm sure of it. I hope your in Gryfindor as well it is the best house to be in (well me and my best friend Beverly think so). She a very talented witch, she is so knowledgealbe and has been told shes the brightest witch of her age so far! Shes already levitating pillows and books! That boy and spoke to me again today, you know Serverus. He knows a load of jinx's he was telling me and he show me by doing one on that jerk Potter boy i told you about, he had slugs coming out of his mouth and everything! it was so funny but a did feel sorry for the Potter boy though i'm sure he is not a jerk all the time. I think Severus might pay for it later though i'm sure i heard the potter boy (i think is first name his James) planning something with his friends. He hangs around with this boy who thinks he's gods gift or something! His name is Sirius he looks sort of handsome in a scruffy sort of way maybe he will get over his self when he grows up. he hangs around with two other boys but i didn't catch their names. One is kind of small and rat looking and the other looks like he's been dragged through a hedge backwards though i've seen him look better on certain days. Anyway they seem like a bunch of idiots to me, i'm going to stay clear of them,i don't want to get in any trouble"

Petunia thought it was funny how her sister used to be horrible about James she ended up marrying him so she guess she never stayed clear of them at all. Petunia even woundered if she liked James at that time of the letter and said she didn't just so she could talk about him. Because her next letter was about James again!

" Oh my god, Tune, you never guess what Potter has done now! (i saw him do it with my own eyes) We were in our poitions lesson and we were make an shrinking antidote for these toads which had been made large for us to cure. And i saw Potter put something in Severus' cauldron when he wasn't looking before i could tell any one all our poitions were tested by professer Noitiop. Severus' was first and he decided to use his own toad to test his on cause he was sure he would pass. He didn't know what Potter had done you see, and well, his toad blew up! All over professer Noitiop! All the class laughed at him and he couldn't see were he had gone wrong he was upset as well i think because he killed his own Toad. I saw him catch Potters eye while he was waving something around in the air. And i saw the look in his eyes when he realised that he was to blame, he has definatly made an enemy there."

Petunia was still sat at the bottom of the stairs handeling Lily's wand she was always fasinated about them, Lily once told her that the wand choses its owner and you couldn't just go and choses your own and you wouldn't get the best results with any but your own wand.

When Christmas came any Lily came home Petunia was so happy to see her sister, the letters were good but there was nothing better than seing her face to face. she remembered that day very well.

"I've missed you so much Lily" said Petunia feeling tears in her almond shaped eyes the same shape as Lily's.

"I've missed you to Tune but it's been really good at Hogwarts i feel like i should be there now, stupid i know it sounds but i know thats were i belong. I've invited Serverus to come round one day too, I'm sure you will really like him and in a way i feel sorry for him he hasn't got many friends"

Petunia remebered that she didn't like the idea of this person coming round to her house she wanted her sister all to her self as long as she could.

The day he came round she remebered as if it was yesterday.

There was a knock at the door.

"I'll get it" said Lily. "It will probably be Serverus"

When Petunia first saw him she was shocked. This was not a person that Lily would hang round with he looked wierd. He had neck length black hair which shone in the sun as it was very greasy. His skin looked white as chalk and his eyes were the colour of soot, he was dressed in all black and petunia remebered how she thought he looked like death.

"Petunia this is Severus, Severus this is Petunia my sister"

"Hello" said Severus

Petunia said hello back but he sent a shiver down her spine and she had a feeling that he already disliked her.

"Are you going to show me some magic then Lily? I haven't seen you do any yet" said Petunia

"Thats because we are not aloud to do any underage magic out of school" Said Severus quickly before Lily could get a word in. he seemed angry of about the question.

"Yeah Tune, forgot to tell you that sorry i would show you some if i could"

Severus decided to tell them abou Azkaban (the wizards prison) which Lily didn't really know about yet.

"It guarded by the most terrifieing creatures called Dementors they take all your good thoughts away so you are only left to remember the bads ones. If they are after you, and if they are on instuction to they can suck out your soul!"

"They what!" Petunia remebered how scared she felt when he told her this.

"Your soul. They say it's unbearable to watch, i myself would like to see just for curousity. It is a fate worse than death i myself as many others proably would, would rather die."

"what do they look like" said Lily she was interested

"Well, i've seen picture of them, they are hooded figues draped in dirty rags and you can just see their mouths, the mouthes that suck out your soul,they have long boney fingers and they have no legs they glide."

"They sound horrid i hope i never see one" said Petunia in fear.

"Well you wont will you!" said Serverus

"Why wont i"

"Muggles can't see dementors only us magical people can, that doesn't mean they can't kiss you though" said Severus harshly.

That upseted Petunia she didn't think of her self as a muggle, Lily must have told him that she was and she felt angry she was sure she was going to be a witch obviously Lily didn't think so. Her parents where muggles yes but she was going to be a witch she was sure of it.

Well another bit wrote any feedback would be helpfull. I chose Snape as being the wizard who Petunia said she her telling Lily about the dementors. as she says in the OOTP "i heard that auful boy telling her" or something along thoses lines. Because as many people assume (like me) to be James because it not forced to be him.

After Severus had gone Petunia told Lily what she thought of him.

"Why did you invite a boy like him around?" she said nasterly

"What do you mean a boy like him" Lily said reacting very quickly.

"Well he's a bit wierd, i didn't like him at all and i'm sure he hated me the first time he looked at me"

"Don't be silly Tune, He's a bit different thats all you have to get used to him he knows alot of good stuff and i'm sure he will be able to help me at school he is very tallented all ready"

"He called me a muggle!" said Petunia tearfully

"Well technically you are Tune"

"What? i thought you said that i was going to be there with you soon, I thought you wanted me to be there i'm going to be in the same house remember? i never thougth you thought of me as a muggle"

"Yes i did say that Petunia but you haven't shown any magical abilities have you? I always knew there was something different about me and looking back i realised the thing i've done that are magical. I do see you has a muggle but i also see you as my sister. Don't be upset Tune your just not magical"

"I am, i am, i did that Wingardium Leviosa spell in my room i told you about it, i did it! i made the feather levitate! I am magical, Iam not a muggle!But you didn't believe me did you you were just humouring me" said Petunia in a rage.

"I told you i didn't think you could do that without a wand, Tune, you haven't got one so i'm sure it was just your imagination. I wish i was there to see you do it so i could say if it was just a trick of the light. can you ever remember doing something peculiar that you could explain, i had loads Tune, loads i see what they all were now."

Petunia couldn't think of any.

"I HATE YOU" she said half crying half shouting and she smacked Lily in the face and ran upstairs into her room.

As Petunia sat at the bottom of the stairs still, she thought how young and clueless she was then, there was some things in her youth that she couldn't explain doing but she didn't think of them at that time because they didn't spring to mind. There were only a few but there was some.
Like the time she was being chased by a dog and she seemed to fly over the wall she climbed and never got a scratch on her. there was also a time when she was 7 and she needed the toilet when she was in the park and a toilet block appeared that she never had seen before, she just assumed it was new but after that time she never saw it again.

there was also all the stuff she did after that time of course.

Petunia remembered how Lily's face looked the next day there was a nasty bruise were Petunia had hit her, she was still upset with Lily for calling her a muggle but she felt sorry for hurtung Lily.

There an awkward silence in the room, she could her a child crying outside slowly passing the window. She decided to apoligise to Lily about hitting her, her mam and dad had already punished her by gounding her for a week!

"I'm sorry" she said but not actully sounding like she was.

Lily didn't answer her and seemed to be writing a letter to someone.

"Lily i just said i'm sorry to you, i didn't mean to hurt your face but you said somethings to me that hurt i'm sure you would have reacted in the same way" she said quickly

"No Petunia i would never have hit you, violence doesn't solve anything, you've damaged my face i look like a freak! I can't go back to school like this what will people think of me? I can't discibe how much you have upset me i was only telling you the truth, the facts"

"Well i've said i'm sorry, but as for you calling me a muggle that hurt me because i know down inside that i'm not, you wait till i get that letter i'll be at Hogwarts soon."

"I hope you do Tune, i would love it for you to be there, like i said i haven't known you to do anything out of the ordinary for you."

"Just you wait and see, i will get that letter."

Petunia wasn't sure of anything really she just felt it, felt that she belonged there she longed to be different.

There was a knock at the door.

"I'll get it, it will probably be Severus."

"What his he doing here again! He's freaky i don't know why you hang around with him?"

"Tune he is really nice when you get to know him. you just probably caught him on a bad day. Lets make a truce now right, I'll forgive you for slaping me and you can forgive me for the muggle thing."

"ok, i guess"

Petunia didn't want that boy here again he just didn't seem normal to her.

"Hi Sev, how are you today?"

"I am fine. I just want to know who gave you that bruise on your beautiful face?" he said worringly.

"It was just Petunia, we had a bit of a disagreement thats all" she said awkwardly.

"What kind of sister would do that" he said loathingly. Petunia was far away but near enough to hear them and to see Severus' evil glare at her and again she felt a shiver down her spine. This time she decided not to be quite as close to Lily when he was here so she went into her room.

Lily and Severus went into the garden, Petunia opened her window so she could evesdrop on there conversation.

"I'd curse that sister of yours as soon as she had her back turned, she obviously has no respect for you."

"We just got into a little sister fight thats all, she thinks you don't like her"

"Why would she think that?" He said with no meaning to those words at all.

"Shes just silly a little girl" said Lily laughing.

"I can't wait to get back to Hogwarts i've got a good thought for my next trick to get Potter and Black........"

Petunia had stopted listening, silly was i, she thought. All her anger built up inside Lily was being horrid about her in front of that freak! Just then her lamp fell on the floor and smashed. she didn't understand how it had because it was firmly on her desk the last time she looked at it. She started to clean it up.

Petunia now got up from the bottom of the stairs she was thirsty she needed a drink she went to the kitchen and made her self a cup of tea.

Petunia staired the spoon into the milky tea, tea had always been the drink to comfort her it always calmed her down and the milkier the better. She'd brought the contents of the step to the living room now, it was much more comfotable than the bottom of the stairs and Vernon or Dudley wouldn't be home for hours.

She remembered when it was time for Lily to go back to Hogwarts they still wasn't speaking on the best of terms, not like they used to be. When Lily was about to go though she started to feel very sad that her sister was going back and that they still wasn't speaking properly, but she didn't wany Lily to know that.

"Well i see you around then Tune, i will owl you, i'm not going to lose touch over a silly argument". said Lily and she kissed Petunia on the head like she was her grandma.
Lily was always so right, so calm, so nice, but Petunia didn't want Lily to see that she was sad that she was going.

"Yes ok then. Have a nice time at your school, sorry your home." said Petunia sarcasticly

"Your still being like that are you! Well while i am at Hogwarts you have a long time to calm down untill you see me again, do you realise that i wont be home till July now?"

Petunia didn't realise thats he was quite sad that she wouldn't see Lily until then but still she did not want Lily to see that she was upset about it.

"No i didn't know that, that is a long time it's a good job your got Cirdog then insn't it so we can keep in touch that way." She said calmly

"Yes it is. See you then Tune" They hugged

"See you to Lils" said petunia trying to keep the tears out of her eyes.

"Come on then Lily or you'll miss that train of yours" said mr Evans.

When Lily went the house was very quiet again. Lily must have wrote her a letter on the train because she got a letter later in the day, Cirdog flew through Petunia's window scaring her half to death as he always did.

"It was just soo funny Tune, Severus just played a trick on Potter he's not so brave when Black is not around, he's got pimples all over his face now! He deserved it though, I heard him planning to get Severus with Black eailer and he got to them before they got to him! Ha! Oh no just heard a scream i think they may have got him back. i'll owl you agian when i get into school, just send Cirdog back."

Petunia remembered how she felt sorry for this Potter and Black but they did sound like they gived as much as they got, she longed to be around even stuff like that.

Hi well i haven't written for a good while but i have decided to start again! hope you all like.

Petunia had the Album, the family album of them all alot of the still nomal muggle pictures but some of Lily moving ones, they where so happy then as a family she wished that she could turn back the clock and be the person she was before but it was too late now.
she read the next letter she got off Lily.

Hey Tune, i got back ok the place is still wonderfully the same for a moment i thought i had dreamt it! Severus has got me practicing my potions he is really good at it and he is kinda like a teacher for me. It is very interesting i supose you could say it is like cooking in a way, you have to get all you ingredients in the right order or it goes terribly wrong like that time i made that cake that went wrong, you remember? You me and mum had such a laugh that day. If i had one wish it would be for you, mum and dad to be with me here we'd all have a scream.

Petunia was smiling, she can still remember that day when they made that cake they forgot to put the eggs in and they left it into long! How she wished she could have a day like that again but with mum, dad and Lily now dead all she had was sadness in side her and hatred for that world that Lily lived in as it not just took Lily from her but her mother and father too.

Just getting back into the swing of things ;)

Petunia had tears in her eyes all three of them gone. sadness and hatred filled her so much it overwelmed her. She came across a dirty looking letter in green ink she remembered it as one of many, she never new the significance of the green at first but it did have one.

Petunia read on remebering how she was puzzled who it was from and the shock of realising who was now writing to her.

Petunia,
I Severus Snape has decided to write to you. I can tell you that the moment i saw you i felt hatred because you had of have a special relationship with your sister and i want you to know i have no intrest in you in the slightest but i think we should be at least be on good terms with each other for Lily's sake. You are a Muggle i know one when i see one and you are nothing more so once you can get over it we can start to have an so called "friendship".
If you think that you will be able to show this to Lily then you are wrong i have put a charm on it so she will see only a blank piece of Parchment.

Severus Snape.

Petunia remembered how that letter made her feel, like a fool like a worthless person, his evilness even came out on paper it was like she could hear his harsh voice saying the words in the letter.
What did Lily see in him? She felt like writing a letter to Lily to tell her about it but would she believe it? No she thought she would just say:
"Oh Petunia how can you say such a thing i didn't think you would be so silly you have to look past the look of him he is truley nice inside, i see a side of him that no one does".
Petunia remembered that she thought, she would Show him for the fraud he is when she came to Hogwarts. Yes she would get him back and save her sister from the clutches of that boy.

then she did something she wasn't proud of now but clever for a girl of her age all she needed was an owl....

Petunia remembered It was like magic (and was magic of corse) because at that moment Cirdog came throught the window. Now what was his name? thought Petunia at the time. Potter that was it the Potter boy thats what she called him, Petunia had to read past letters to get his first name as she new it was mentioned but couldn't for the life of her remember what it was.
She began to write

James Potter,
Well hi,
You don't know me my name is Petunia Evans and if you are the right James Potter then you will know my Sister Lily as you are both students at Hogwarts. Why am i writing to you? Well i can't believe i am doing it myself but i am (in my own words) desperate, desparate for my sister. She has told me that you are enemie with that "Freak" called Severus Snape and i am afraid he will bring my sister down into the pits of dispare that he lives in his self. He has written to me to more or less tell me to not interfer but i can not help it! He is evil and Vile and the though of him near my Sister makes my skin crawl. My Sister may say she does not like you but deep down i think she does. Even though i am Lily's sister i may not become a student of Hogwarts as i am still tecnically a muggle like our parents. I need someone to look after her so that boy will leave her alone! Will you do that? Please i can't think of anything else to do. The letter he wrote can not be seen by Lily's eyes as he has put a charm on it so she would just see a blank piece of Parchment.
So as you can tell i have no evidence to get my sister to see, please help.

Petunia read the letter over and over again to make sure it sounded right before she sent it off with Cirdog. She didn't know if she would get a reply but she hoped she would. Petunia found her self being less interested in the magical world that Lily loved all she could think about it was it was taking her sister away from her the sister who she is so close to, she could feel her difting away.

Petunia remembered that it took about a week for a reply from James, thinking now it was probably the shock of the letter and the thought of what to do next was why. She was so nervous as she opened the reply because she just Didn't know what to expect.

Petunia,
I was very suprised to get a letter of someone who i don't even know and at one point i wasn't going to reply but my friend (Sirius) made me realise that if i didn't do anything and then something happens to Lily i would blame myself.
I do like your sister she is a nice person i can see and i think she hangs around with Snape because she feels sorry for him. He is a a low life loser who likes to make people look small but he picked the wrong boy to prank on the first day at school when he chose me and we have been enemies since.
I will keep an eye on your sister and do my best to make Snape leave her alone but it will be an hard task because i have seen them together. They are not joined at the hip but i do see them in the library, i think he is helping her with a subject.
I will keep you informed on what steps i take and if there is anything you can think of that will help me break them up then i will be glad to her it.
Also i think we should meet! I would like to see the face of the girl i am writting to, what do you think?

James Potter.

Petunia Rememebered that she thought meeting him would be a good idea she was intriqued at what he looked like too. What could she say? What imformation could she give James to help him? Lily Liked Animals and that boy didn't seem the type to be friendly with a Puppy or a Kitten she could see him holding and stroking one in his hands. She didn't know how it would help but it was a start she wrote two letters beggining with James'

James,
I am glad that you will help me and my sister you are very kind to do that for someone you don't know. I don't know how it will help but my sister loves Animals, all types, kittens and Puppy more thatn others.

Petunia Remembered that she didn't get a letter off Lily Till exactly 3 weeks, which was the longest she had gone without a letter from Lily and she blamed Severus for it! He must be trying to get her to stop Writing in a way she just didn't know how. What was James doing? Why hadn't he wrote back by now?

Hey Tune,
Something weird happened today, well involved Severus actually. Beverly told me that there is a rumour going around that Severus likes to Torture and kill defencless animals! Well i didn't believe it and Severus said i was right to because he would not waste his time doing something so dreadful an that was that. Then Today he was talking his books out of his bag and a small box fell out and to little chicks where in there all sweaty and scared it was awful to see.Severus said he didn't know how they got there and i believe him but why? I asked myself. I thought of the Potter boy but it's not his style he likes to be seen doing his bullying. I don't know what to think?

She thought there was no point of chit chat here, Lily hadn't wrote to her in three weeks! She never even appoligised! They never worked set a specific time that they would send letters but it was too long for Petunia's liking.

Petunia looked around her house, her family house. It was a very well kept house clean and tidy, she was like that because she had to be, they way she made herself be. her life was dull and it could have been so much more. If only she hadn't been so stubbon! She would have had a different life no doubt, She loved her son too much and she could see how much she has spoiled him and he was such a brat at times but he is her son and there was no one she loved more.
The what if's where killing her it hurt so much.
