If you were cast in the films, which character would you want to play?

Which character do you identify with most? Who would you want to portray in the films, if you had your choice? For me, it would be Hermione, no doubt about it. Emma Watson, however, does a very good job for the script she's given.

So who is it for you?

Hermione for me because it's a role that I'm very suited to. I agree, the girls are kind of girly... but I've been acting long enough to know which roles I'd be suited to. Also, when I was about eleven, I used to be absolutely convinced that I was the perfect person to play Hermione, and went around imitating Emma Watson from what I saw of her in interviews. Okay, I don't do that anymore.

In general, I'm a lot like Hermione in the books.

It's easy for me. When I was a kid, my brother used to tease me by telling me to cry, and I would just burst into tears for no reason. All I have to do is just envision him doing that, and summon other memories of stuff that makes me cry and the tears just well up and spill.

If I wasnt a girl definently Harry because he get's to have the all the fun...

But I'd have to say Hermione otherwise because I'm paranoid and worry about everythign like she does and she gets to do almost all the fun stuff.

Yeah, about crying on command- you can either do it or you can't. It's dead easy for me, I've been acting all my life. I'd love to remake the movies with me as Hermione and Tim Burton as the director!

I'd play Luna because I can totally be dorky at times and I'm not an attention getter. She seems unique and brave in a way.

I'd love to be Trelawney. That would be the funnest part to act, especially when she's a drunkard.

I would be Malfoy. I think he is the best character and I kind of look like the guy that plays him in the movies.

Nymphadora Tonks - because that is *so* who I am. Rediculously clumsy and quirky. And funky-haired! :D Plus, people have told me that I should audition for the part, or at least try like hell to get an audition (which would be a challenge considering I'm an american with no other true acting beneath my belt! LOL).

Luna..I've got really long, dirty blonde hair (I guess i could cut it a bit to make it waist length...), and i wear contacts so I could get the eyes I guess. I'm just incredibly weird, and i could care less what people think. I've also got some wisdom behind my incredible sillyness...

I have read hair and kinda look like Ron. I share some of his personality, but I have a lot of Hermione in me. I can act goofy though, easily.

There just aren't many parts to pick from in the series if your a girl. The only girl really developed is Hermoine and I don't see that being much fun to do. I really don't look anything like her but I think the Luna would be the most fun to play. Hmmm... maybe a bit tricky to keep the straight face with her but definatley the most fun.

Tonks. She's such a groovy character with the whole changing her hair colour etc. :D

Definitly Umbridge I have always wanted to play someone evil and I know I could do it brilliantly. I even look like her . I have the pointed teeth, im pretty tiny for a twenty year old at 5 foot 3 and I have very short stuby fingers, the only difference is that i'm not squat, but near enough.

Um, I think the question is "which character are you most like?/which character would you most like to emulate?", not "who would you play in the movies?"

I would like to be like Dumbledore. I don't think I'd want to be as wise, because I think that kind of alienates him. I think Dumbledore must be very lonely. But I completely agree with him on his theories on life. I always get the sense that Jo speaks her truths through Dumbledore. He's right (well, she's right) - life is about the choices you make. Moreover, it's about the choices you make right now. History is just that - the past.

I would love to be Ginny. She is very confident, beautiful, can stick up for herself in the midst of 6 older brothers. She can hold her own against anyone. The only time she seemed a bit , maybe less than she is, was during Harry's second year when she just clammed up in total shock and shyness. But she is allowed to be human. I think she is portrayed as a stong individual and very bright and compassionate.

I've always connected very well with Hermione, it seems like we change about the same in progressive book. In Book One, which I read at age twelve, I was almost a carbon-copy of her...bookish and smart, somewhat bossy, well-intentioned, rather socially inept - back then ;), not to mention frizzy-haired.

Lily Potter - I have the age, red hair and green eyes, so... :) I think the people that portray the parents in the movie are too old. According to HP Lexicon they were about 21 years old when they died.

But my face is oval (well, I've lost some weight, so my face doesn't look oval in the picture in the signature) and I've got brown eyes (yes, Tonks has brow eyes). And... well... Lupin... Don't get me started on Lupin! :drool:

Because I'm way too old for the good kids' roles, I'd like to be Professor McGonagall. She has a dry sense of humour, I love her costumes and she's in a lot of scenes. I would particulary like to play her, against Umbridge, in OOTP ("Would you like a cough drop, Delores?" --- super!)

That being said, Maggie Smith is wonderful in the part (in ANY part!) so I don't think they'll be giving me a casting call any time soon!

I'd be Luna Lovegood. Like her I was bullied a lot at school and am very open and honest even to the point to which it is bad for me. I used to live in a world of my own because noone wanted to hang around me and to escape the pain of bullies and pressure. Also I used to believe anything was possible and in anything. I also have a tendancy to believe what my parents do. And, not trying to be bigheaded, but I'm more intelligent than i seem. Oh yeah and I'm arty too. One more thing I look like her - long dirty blonde hair, large starring eyes, look about 14-15. I would probably end up as Hermione or Ginny. I'm like Hermione because I study and work hard, but I'm also outgoing and adventurous like Ginny. I don't know what I would be if I was a guy though.

I'd like to be either the girl who will end up playing Lavender (For certain reasons, those who have read HBP know what i am referring to! lol.), or Bonnie Wright as Ginny (For the same reasons as Lavender, lol.)

I would LOVE to play Bellatrix. I am nothing like her ( no really I'm not) but thats why it's called acting!

I think it would be so much fun to play evil / crazy. Plus she is really the only part I could see myself in, look wise.... tall, dark hair, light skin..

I would want to play Ron. I look nothing like him but I think it would be fun to play him. I would especially like to acted in the scene in COS were Ron throws up slugs.

I would like to play Luna or Bellatrix. I would like to play Luna because she is weird and so am I, and I do not have a problem on being weird. It come easy to me. I would like to Bellatrix, because I would like to play I evil person. She would be a fun person to play I think.

If I could play a Male, (I don't know why) I would love to play one of the twins. They are so great.

Some of my friends told me that I fit the role of Harry Potter, but I think they were being sarcastic. With my height and belly and all that, I`d rather play Hagrid.

Hermione. I'm a lot like her. She is pretty cool. It would be interesting to play her. Emma does an excellent job though.

I'd probably play Neville, he's not cool or as good at school as Harry or Hermoine but he's brave and doesn't give up. Plus i'm always forgetting stuff and occassionally look unco. I'd think do pretty well as neville :blush:

even though i'm a girl i would have to say fred or george and my twin sis could be the other one. it doesn't matter to me they are both awesome

if she has a part in the OotP movie then i'd play luna...although i'd have to turn white, blonde, and blue eyed for the part i would still love to be her character

Realistically, I could play Tonks. I have dark hair, I'm short, and I have a widow's peak so my face is rather heart shaped. By the time they start shooting OotP I will be close to her age (she is 21 isn't she?). The HBP movie will have an added bonus if you know I mean!!! :eyebrows:

Well I've always acted as the villain in school plays. My drama teacher used to say that I look evil and have that bad aura around me :evil:. My best friend also seems to think along the same lines and he once told me that if I were to play any character from HP, it would be Bellatrix Lestrange. *vomits*. He thinks that I look like a vampire and he, for some reason, imagines Lestrange as one too. So yeah. As much as I hate her, it would be fun to play her.

ginny weasley!the snoggingpart makes me sick, im not interested, thnak u, but ginny because shes got character, man!! shes not like the hogwarts, trademark, bunch of fits of giggles, always hang around in goups, typical boy crazy kinda grls. she has also shown shes good and in control of her emotions, even if it did take her 4 yrs to figure out how to hide her feelings from harry, but shes pretty nice except that. i can also play hermione; im a know-it-all type, i look like her, and im a very active person in class. (my term results aret that gud, though:upset: )

I wish I could play Ginny... I've always liked her, she's so strong, not to mention she's Harry's LI, of course... But I'd have to have red hair and be beautiful, and I wouldn't be in the movies very often, would I?

I'd be much better as Hermione, I've got brown hair (plain) and eyes and I've always been the brainy one. Oh, and rather big front teeth. :p

I would really like to play peeves because it would be so fun just to go around causing chaos and mayhem and annoying Filch. Other than Peeves i think it would be fun to play Draco Malfoy and have the whole audience hate your character.

Ever since I read Order of the Phoenix I've fantasized about running to England and trying out for Tonks. Of course I'm American so it wouldn't work anyway, but I don't care. I can fake a pretty good accent and I wouldn't mind dying my hair bubblegum pink! I'm pretty short, have a heart-shaped face, and am extremely clumsy. I'd also be about the same age as Tonks when Order of the Phoenix films, like someone else said up there.

I feel connected more with her than with any of the other girls (besides maybe Ginny, on a kick-butt level), even though she's not that big of a character. I absolutely love her.

I think the easiest role to play for me would be Hermione's since it's the character I identify the most with. We really have a lot of common points and characteristics.
It's the reason why I would like to play another one. That would be funnier. I'd love playing Luna Lovegood :p

For me, i'd LOVE to play Luna Lovegood!!! She so out of it, and so random! i'd love to play her. ive been acting for ages, and can cry on cue aswel. i think about how i nearly lost my mum and what my life would be without her. i cant cry without thinking of something like that, but when i get goin on the whole crying, its pretty hard to stop!! Luna all the way ^_^

Luna Lovegood, all the way. I look like her and our personalities are very similiar. She's such an amazing character.
