August 31st, 2005, 11:21 am
Please ONLY post questions about The Potter Police in this thread, any thing else should be discussed in our forums (http://meetinghall.baselair.com/forum) or via Owl here at CoS.

The Following Jobs Are Available:

1. Layout Designers (4) - If you are good at designing layouts and/or have done it in the past, please apply for this job! You will need to put a decent amount of time and a whole lot of effort into this job. You will probably need to complete atleast 1-2 layouts every month. You can haggle with the amount of time you get for a layout, but its pretty set. Working with another member to make a top-notch layout is always a plus!

2. Layout Coders (3) - Coding layouts is a tough business and not many people are able to do it. If you are one of the people who can manage professional looking website layouts, then we would be honored if you worked for us. You would code layouts as often as people asked for them. There are other coders so it would not be a job for just you.

3. Graphic Designers (3) - If you know how to make graphics well and want to contribute your skill, you will be welcomed whole-heartedly into our staff. You need to stay on the ball and be ready to make graphics when called upon. You will probably make about 2-3 graphics every month (could be a little less or more).

4. Forum Skinners (3) - If you have a history of making skins for your own sites or for another website, we would love to have you on our staff. There really isnt a set amount of forums per month because we make them when people order them. You must put forth a lot of effort to your job in order to make our clients happy.

5. Forum Software Advisors (2) - If you know a lot about forum softwares, then this is the job for you. You would just need to patrol our forums and answer clients' questions about what forum software they should use.

6. Web Design Software Advisors (2) - You would do the same thing as the Forum Software Adisors - except with Web Design!

7. Webmaster Support Team (4) - This is a team of webmasters willing to share thier knowledge with other webmasters.

Please send all your applications to info@thepotterpolice.co.uk , you should send us why you want the job, what skills you have for the job and if possible some evidance of previous work.

Anyone wanting any of the following services should visit our main site (http://www.thepotterpolice.co.uk) and read the ToS before going to the forums and requesting help:

Layout Design
Layout Coding
Graphics Design (banners, avatars etc)
Forum Skins
Forum and Web Design Software Advice
Webmaster support (help with general website maintainence)
Security Advice

Anyone wanting more information regarding jobs or the services we provide should either post here or email us (info@thepotterpolice.co.uk)

We are now offering an Advertising service, we will look at your site and assess the merits of it then make you a unique advert to post in forums :) All we ask in return is a small text link in your signature.

We are also launching a Proboard skinning service

We have just taken on another graphics designer and have layout designer on the way soon :) We do still need to hear from anyone who has ANY of the skills above though as we are getting more and more requests everyday and we would like to decrease our average completion time for each client.

We are also currently discussing the idea of podcasting and producing a weekly newsletter, the content of which is still being discussed. Anyone requiring anymore information regarding any of the subjects above should email info@thepotterpolice.co.uk or post in our forums at http://meetinghall.baselair.com/forum

All Websites, Please Take Note.

It has been bought to our attention, whilst investigating some new claims, that more hacking is rife. In light of this, we advise you to not let anyone become an admin on your site, unless you know them extremely well, and be extremely wary of who you give jobs to.

If you suspect any of your staff, or members on your site of any suspicious activity, then please alert us straight away by emailing us at info@thepotterpolice.co.uk and we will look into it.

We are implementing a layout changer at the moment, we have had 4 excellent layouts designed and will be sharing them with you very soon :)

The attached images are available for TPP Fans to use in thier signatures to advertise us, we ask that as many people as possible do this! These images are suited to the CoS rules (Maximum of 300x300) if you are unsure of the rules visit the link in my sig. If you haven't got room for our image then PLEASE can you place a text link in your sig to http://www.thepotterpolice.co.uk We also ask that if you put any of the images in your sig that you link it to the above address :) For further help putting the image in your sig or adding a link etc please Owl me.

There have been some radical changes to the layout: http://www.thepotterpolice.co.uk we are still in need of a few more staff as requests are coming in at quite a high rate!

pmagicnet
September 10th, 2005, 8:23 am
Who has made the design? I preferred the realier one. Also, the heade changing is not too proffessional and should have better name than just 1 and 2.

rich_505
September 10th, 2005, 9:44 am
The problem with the other design was that it "looked" good but had terrible code which prevented any improvement to the layout and made adding content hard. We are still working on the current layout.

Yes I do remember you said you'd help, its great to have you back :D

TPP may be closed over the next day or so just to make a few internal changes and ensure they work

rich_505
September 13th, 2005, 1:40 pm
There has been a massive overhaul of many things at TPP in the past few days, however I must warn the the forum may be down at some time or might not be working 100% due to a software upgrade we are implementing at the moment. We are converting all the skins we have made which is taking some time, we appologise for any inconvenience this causes. We are still accepting orders and as always staff :)

rich_505
September 15th, 2005, 9:47 am
Most of the forum changes are now done, along with converting skins etc

hellsbells
September 17th, 2005, 12:57 pm
There were a couple of blips while the upgrade was going through, but the forums should be working more or less perfectly now. :)

rich_505
September 18th, 2005, 3:40 pm
Hmmm I doubt that very much...

Just a note on the procedure for the new Advertising service:

1) Make sure you read this page and understand it fully; http://www.thepotterpolice.co.uk/tos.html

2) Post your website address here; http://meetinghall.baselair.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=497 also ask any questions in that thread

3) Ensure you put a link in your sig to either www.thepotterpolice.co.uk or http://meetinghall.baselair.com/forum in EVERY forum you use the advert WE have supplied you with

*Also please note that ANY rumours you should hear from certain people are NOT to be believed and are nothing but hurtful slander from the minds of extremely sad individuals. *

pmagicnet

That looks pretty much as if your IP was blacklisted.

Sejo
September 18th, 2005, 11:25 pm
We do not ban IP's for no reason, are you sure you weren't registered under 2 names, or doing something against the rules, we only ban those with the apparent and proper reasons, thoguh tere has been a tad of bad blood between the organizations but nothing to ban eachother over, I'll check right now and un-ban (if you are banned) you.

rich_505
September 18th, 2005, 11:42 pm
I haven't authorized anything, and decisions like that come from me and me only... Very strange indeed, I am looking into the matter now :)

rich_505
September 20th, 2005, 12:02 pm
Yes, your IP was banned after you created multiple accounts on another of our boards; this measure is precautionary and your IP will be removed when we have eliminated it from our on going investigation into IPs.

rich_505
September 21st, 2005, 6:07 pm
We are in need of more staff, particularly Layout coders and designers as we are getting a massive amount of requests! We are also looking into many new services to go with our Advertising service which has taken off very well and is unique to TPP :)

We are just launching our new Proboard skinning service, please either post in the forums or email us for more information: http://meetinghall.baselair.com/forum info@thepotterpolice.co.uk

rich_505
September 23rd, 2005, 12:15 pm
Yet more changes are being made at TPP to reflect how much we have grown, we are dabbling with the idea of image hosting due to our graphics services being used so much.

We are also making extensive databases of forum skins, website templates for people to download and use as well as looking into hosting websites! As always we are investigating known hackers, we have gained significant intelligence in the past few days and are analysing it as fast as possible. We urge everyone to be on alert and report ANYTHING suspicious to info@thepotterpolice.co.uk or Owl me here :)

rich_505
September 23rd, 2005, 4:12 pm
2nd, first one got way too big...

Next time you make accusations like that you will be reported to a moderator immediately. "I'll thank you to keep comments like that to yourself"

On a lighter note: We are now taking steps to implement image hosting then who knows maybe even website hosting!

rich_505
September 24th, 2005, 3:21 pm
Just a note that the main site is not accessable at the moment due to hosting difficulties that we are endeavouring to fix as quickly as possible.

The forums are still online so keep your requests coming in! http://meetinghall.baselair.com

rich_505
September 24th, 2005, 6:07 pm
Everything is now back online.

Image hosting IS being tested as I write this; soon not only will we be able to design graphics for your website but host them for you as well! We also don't mind if you just want to use our image hosting service to just link your signature images; we're here to help in what ever way possible

rich_505
September 24th, 2005, 6:24 pm
lol We don't believe in opponents and sites being rivals, we are here to help all HP sites... Each site is very different and therefore is in its own league, it cannot be beaten by anyone else because it is your site, you make your site yours just by making content or by posting in your forum. :) ;)

This site is genuinely great. Everything is free and the service the staff provide is excellent, with a really quick response. Of course I'll say that, cos I am staff, but upon untill very recently I was an ordinary member, and am very grateful of the service and help they gave me, sorting problems for my own site. (I do graphics, and would not try and go near a layout) lol :eyebrows: I was very lucky to stumble upon this site, and anyone that needs anything from simple graphics, to full website layouts or forum skins, would be stupid to not give this site a look.

floo_phoenix
November 7th, 2005, 8:31 pm
In celebration of Christmas, we are launching a fun competition in which members (and staff if they wish), can submit their own graphic to be used on “The Potter Police Advent Calendar.” As well as everyone having this small example of their work in the countdown, one lucky winner will have their site reviewed in a featured article in the first issue of The Potter Police News Letter, due to be released in December.

All info can be found here (http://meetinghall.baselair.com/forum/index.php?act=ST&f=5&t=1490&st=0#entry8301)

the Calendar competition is still open, if you want a shot at being in it, even if your graphics arent all that great (although i assure you, if i can do it, anyone can...;)), nip over to the site to find out more about it!
or, even, just go and have a look and view peoples sample work, so that if you ever need a graphic, you will know.... we are the best! haha.

The winner, Hells, will revieve a full feature article on thier website in the new TPP Newsletter which will be sent out to members of the forum on 1st February 2006! As a small thank you, Kyle's website, OwlPost, will have a small article also in the first issue.

As well as reviewing a fine sample of the Harry Potter community's websites the newsletter will also provide information regarding up and coming TPP projects, information for webmasters and a small Q&A section to allow TPP enthusiasts to ask us any questions they like (and see thier name in the newsletter).

The newsletter will go out to aproximately 150 people, all members of the forum so this is a great opportunity for YOU to get your website out there... Anyone who wants thier website in future issues should email info@thepotterpolice with a short explanation why thier website should be in the newsletter and what sets them apart from all the other websites.

The newsletter, due to its success, is being made fortnightly rather than monthly! We are adding a Classified Ads section for websites to advertise for staff, members or just advertise thier forum/site in general. All sites/forums are welcome to advertise, so email info@thepotterpolice.co.uk with your link and advert and it will be posted in the next issue.

We have just launched TPP reviews, an innovative new review service which is a continuation of the popular Rich_505 Review Thread! 2 people have already had thier websites reviewed, one of which is none other than Theresa from Dervish-Banges.com! Websites of exceptional quality which are posted for reviewing will be "featured" in the newsletter which means they will get a full page spread all about thier website, cool or what?!

A round up of the HP news in the last 2 weeks is being added also, along with some more tips from the staff. We are, as always on the look out for more people to submit thier links for the links section, info@thepotterpolice with your sites URL to be added. Please note that all sites which submit and advert will automatically be added to the links section.

TPP will be reopening layout requests soon, people will once again be able to request website layouts. We may be capping skinning requests soon to help our staff catch up.

We are all very busy with exams/work/life so please do be patient, also please note that emailing me and PMing me regarding requests does not help speed things up. Also that requests cannot be made by PM or Email and anyone doing so will be warned then banned if needs be. Some stricter rules regarding requests will be put inplace soon, our CoS thread will be updated accordingly.

We are currently working an a secret, 100% unique project which will be released in the very near future. This is an idea of mine which has never been done by anyone else before and it may just revolutionise the way people advertise... I've said too much ;)

rich_505

Introducing something completely new and exciting from TPP - TPP Job Center - A new innovation from TPP which allows people who wish to work for HP websites/forums to post thier 'resumes/cvs' and then Webmasters/Administrators looking for staff can see the staff available. Ok "CV's and Resumes" are a bit too serious really but that is the best way to describe it ;) Anyway you should deffinately take a look if you wish to work for a HP forum/website but don't quite know which one or you are a webmaster looking for new staff! We also have an area where Webmasters can post thier requests for staff and thier requirements. Take a look: http://meetinghall.baselair.com/adds/index.php

rich_505
April 19th, 2006, 11:42 am
http://www.thepotterpolice.co.uk/finalissue.pdf - The last ever issue of The Potter Police Newsletter, although a small number of people have been reading the newsletter and have found the advice inside very useful we simply feel that not enough people are reading it for it to be feasible to continue production.

With that comes another announcement, I will be leaving TPP in the Summer to persue other projects and to concentrate on external factors such as work!

rich_505
April 23rd, 2006, 5:18 pm
I can now reveal something which only the staff currently know; I will be leaving with a bang, a special suprise, a thank you to everyone. More about this will become available in the next few weeks so that I can allow enough time for anyone who is interested to... I almost let slip then ;)

TPP would like to welcome none other than Tom (at the forums) to the Reviews Team, for many months now me and Tom have discussed ideas he has given me and we have discussed his website, Tom has always been willing to offer his advice and help when ever someone has asked for it. Tom is an excellent webmaster and along with a team of amazing people he helps run www.mud-blood.co.nr.

TPP has shown it's support for Queerditchmarsh.com by applying to sponsor one of the leagues, we believe Queerditch Marsh has amazing potential and are really looking forward to watching the Quidditch season unfold from June onwards!

rich_505
April 25th, 2006, 3:27 pm
Possibly by Monday or Tuesday next week I will have a massive announcement to make, this will be the first time TPP has done anything like this and it is set to be phenominally cool :D Stay tuned, keep checking the thread and you will be sure to find a suprise sometime in the next week...

rich_505
April 26th, 2006, 8:09 pm
OK a little something to wet your appetite further; as well as the event I have planned (Oops that actually lets a bit out of the bag), TPP will be launching a new and massive area/branch in the very near future!

rich_505
April 30th, 2006, 6:38 pm
Upon hearing that Hptopsites.com was recently hacked TPP would once again like to urge all members of the HP webmaster community to be careful when employing people to work at your websites/forums, not to give out passwords and to keep backups of all the important website/forum files on your server. Those using free hosted forum software may not be able to get backups so please do be extra careful; it is advisable to use flood control to avoid malicious message floods and to use admin validation of new members.

info@thepotterpolice.co.uk - email us if you have any problems or suspect hacking in your website/forum. We are dealing with a good few other cases of hackings at the moment, please email if you can help.

rich_505
May 14th, 2006, 7:07 pm
Right, I owe anyone who checks the TPP thread regularly a big appology. I have been ill for almost 2 weeks now and I've been sitting my Photography practical exam and finishing the work to hand in at the end of the course; therefore I have literally just been popping into CoS and posting in the discussion areas instead of updating this thread.

The 'secret' is still, and will remain, a secret for another few days while I fine tune what I need to on it and make sure it is ready for you all to use.

rich_505
May 17th, 2006, 6:05 pm
Ok... Awards time :D As I am leaving I've decided I would like to reward the webmasters of the HP community, give them the recognition for thier work that they truely deserve; so I give you TPP Awards (http://www.thepotterpolice.co.uk/index.php)! This is all part of the big plan that I have, I know this part isn't that exciting but it's a piece of the jigsaw for you all!

Get nominating now, and good luck to you all!

rich_505
May 19th, 2006, 8:42 pm
Nominations are going well, although I would like loads and loads more people to nominate thier website/forum/rpg; everyone who enters is in with a very good chance of winning, and will gain some useful tips and advice along the way. I've changed the nomination process a little, don't worry though those who have already entered need not enter again; I have coded a form for people to fill out then tick the categories they wish to enter, this will be much easier and quicker.

Don't forget what TPP is here for, not only all your graphic, layout and skinning needs but also:

Reviews - Come and get your website/forum reviewed, get helpful advice and constructive criticism and gain praise for your hard work from our Reviews Team. We will review ANY type of website/forum, although HP related ones are probably more our specialist area! Why not have a go: http://meetinghall.baselair.com/forum/index.php?showforum=99

TSL - We have our own Top Sites List, it has been growing steadily since we opened it and we would like to see more of you adding your website/forum!: http://tpphosting.com/aardvarktopsites/in.php?id=9

Classifieds - Are you looking for staff? Do you want to be a staff member on a HP website/forum? Look no further than TPP's Classified Ads service, we allow you to tell the HP community that you either want to work on a HP site/forum or that you need people to work for your site/forum: http://meetinghall.baselair.com/adds/index.php

rich_505
May 24th, 2006, 5:54 pm
Thank you to everyone who has nominated thier websites and forums so far, we are getting greedy now and want even more of you to enter! More RPG entries would be really cool, we have a fair few but we do want to make it more exciting by having more of you on board.

rich_505
May 29th, 2006, 10:33 pm
A steady trickle of requests coming through, please keep them coming people!

We've updated a few things around the forum to make requesting easier, the website will be undergoing a complete overhaul in the coming months too.

rich_505
June 2nd, 2006, 2:11 pm
A new tutorials section, written by the staff for the members is being implemented at the moment along with a modification that allows members to fill out a request form then click submit and their request thread is automatically created, cool eh?

Come on people... Please get nominating your website/forum!!

rich_505
June 6th, 2006, 11:16 am
Arghhhhh!! Please make some more nominations, you would be making me very happy :p

Everyone at The Potter Police would like to wish Tom a very Happy Birthday, Tom has been a staff member for quite a long time now and is still helping webmasters and administrators everyday.

We are currently working on a new system for both Staff Applications and Request Submissions, the system is ready to go and will be launched hopefully on 8th June. The new system is very simple and will make taking on and completing requests much easier for the staff, also the new system for Staff Applications will make it much easier for me to decide who will be joining us without clogging up my PM box ;)

Work has started on the website, some new content will be added and some old content removed. The changes to the website will be a part of the 'secret' plans only a few of us know about :D

So come on down to TPP, everything is going on at the moment!

The Potter Police Forum (http://meetinghall.baselair.com/forum)

rich_505
June 9th, 2006, 12:42 pm
New staff applications system and new request system are now online and in use, so far we have had no problems and a really positive reception from the members!

The tutorials system is now taking shape, after welcoming Luke back to the staff we now have many tutorials submitted. A few staffing changes will be happening shortly, don't worry no one is leaving just a change in job titles etc. Despite current rumours we are NOT adding a new administrator at any point in the near future.

EDIT - Oh and after my recent out burts about nominations: A massive thanks to the 20 people who nominated :D

rich_505
June 13th, 2006, 5:17 pm
The nominees page - I have indeed forgotten completely to update it... I apologise for that! It will be updated in full this week or this weekend, I am now back at college starting my A2 courses however my timetable is much lighter than normal due to being so close to the end of term, I'll do my best to be around TPP more!

Ok, public announcement time... Please give a warm welcome to redwall_hp to the staff, he is the webmaster of The Site of Requirement and WebmasterSource, both excellent websites. Oh, he doesn't know he's been accepted yet ;)

TPP is desperately looking for layout designers, please anyone with layout designing skills get in touch with us either via PM here or at the forum (http://meetinghall.baselair.com/forum) or use our new application system: http://meetinghall.baselair.com/forum/index.php?autocom=dstaffapp

We have added many discussion threads into the Chat Area, now members and staff can talk about anything important to them. Any threads created in the Chat Area that have discussion potential will be pinned.

We now have an Ask The Staff area so that members can ask any burning questions they might have for the staff, please keep them TPP related though and ask any questions relating to your own website in the Quick Help area.

We have a full force of staff at the moment so why not join up and get yourself a new banner/skin/layout or get a review, or even just advertise your website! The Potter Police Forum (http://meetinghall.baselair.com/forum)

rich_505

Anyone who has yet to nominate their website/forum should do so quickly, nominations close soon! For those of you who have seen the TV Programme The Apprentice you will either love it or hate it... Personally I'm a Dragon's Den man but what they hey, TPP & WizExAu are gonna bring you an amazing new competiton anyway!

WizExAu in association with TPP would like to announce the start of it's own Apprentice series! In the coming weeks, right up until October, WizExAu and TPP are going to set tasks for entrants to undertake and complete whilst competing against other people to take the "dream" (if you can call it that) job of being my, Rich's, apprentice for 1 month. In which time Rich will come on to the winning website/forum and advise on any issue the winner chooses. Not only that but instant acceptance into The Potter Police Partnership awaits the winner, along with many other perks... (in other words we just thought this idea up and are still thinking of more prizes!)

So, do you think you have what it takes to be the next TPP/WizExAu Apprentice? Take a trip down to WizExAu (http://www.wizexau.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=227)

Just another little announcement:

Well to run along side the current "The Apprentice" competiton (http://www.wizexau.co.uk/forum/index.php?showforum=60) we are also starting another interesting competiton...

Announcing Potter's Den. Indeed we have combined the immensely innovative Dragons' Den idea with Harry Potter and come up with what we believe is an excellent opportunity for webmasters and administrators to come to WizExAu and gain our "Dragons'" time and experience. Sadly for you guys we won't be investing money in your websites/ideas but actually helping provide a place where you can come and tell us your ideas and gain our feedback based on our knowledge (almost 50 years worth between us). So here's how it works:

People who want help starting/running thier websites or help getting an idea off the ground will come to the "den" and ask our "dragons" to help them do so, however not all people will gain our help/advice as that would be impossible... We'll only be helping the websites/forums and webmasters/administrators that give us the best pitch, it's no good just saying you need us to help! We want people to really sell us their website/forum/idea and why they need our help over all of the others. The most time we will spend helping any website/forum will be 1 week, and even then perhaps only some "dragons" will be helping as it is not guaranteed that all of us will like your idea/website/forum. You could think of this as basically a really big review of your website/forum/idea but you also have the "dragon"'s experience to draw on during that time.

So who has no idea what I am on about? I know it's complicated... Look at it this way, this is like "The Apprentice" Competiton only you have a better chance of winning :P Go here to enter - http://www.wizexau.co.uk/forum/index.php?showforum=61

Also... ;) TPP's Staff Awards today entered the Voting stages: http://meetinghall.baselair.com/forum/index.php?showforum=148

"The Apprentice" - Be Rich_505's apprentice for 1 month, maybe longer if you're good at the job. You can have Rich give you advice, personally, on all matters website/forum/idea related not to mention getting your own spot on TPP's Staff to view how things are done at one of the largest free graphics/layouts/skin providers. So, why not give it a go, entries will be closing at the end of August so hurry: http://www.wizexau.co.uk/forum/index.php?showforum=60

"Potter's Den" - Gain the knowledge, wisdom, experience and madness of our panel of Professors' (yep Dragons' didn't fit really), all of which are highly successful webmasters and administrators: Richard Myers (TPP/WizExAu/RoR/P93/4), Terry aka Dumbledore (TPP, WizExAu, RoR, P93/4, Hogwarts Fans and many more), Theresa (dervish-banges.com & TPP/WizExAu), Hells (Magikal & TPP/WizExAu). Our Professors are ready for you, all you have to do now is post your reasons why they should devote their time/advice/experience to helping you get your website off the ground or into better shape. Think of it as a make over of the webmaster/administrator kind! More details here: http://www.wizexau.co.uk/forum/index.php?showforum=61

Also you may wish to join The Wizarding Examinations Authority (http://wizexau.co.uk/forum) so that you can take some of our excellent classes, our prospectus can be viewed here: http://www.wizexau.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=70

The Potter Police & The Wizarding Examinations Authority will soon be bringing out a newsletter, this will once again be filled with juicy advice/tips/reviews/info along with interviews & profiles of some of the best webmasters in the HP Community! The links section will no longer be there though I am afraid, however you can get your website or forum's link into the newsletter by joining one of the above mentioned Competitons or by applying for TPP Partnership: http://meetinghall.baselair.com/forum/index.php?showforum=147

The End of An Era! Today marks, officially, the ending of TPP's affiliation with security/anti-hacking services... We are no longer providing security related services. However, TPP can announce that the Harry Potter Site Protection Group is now ready for you to visit, all your security needs can be taken care of here: http://hpspg.dum-arm.com/ TPP will continue to provide all it's wonderful services, as seen here: http://meetinghall.baselair.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=8976 but all security related items should now be taken to HPSPG.

That said... We are also in the dawning of a new era, the WizExAu (http://www.wizexau.co.uk/forum/index.php?) Era! We have opened up The Potter Police & The Wizarding Examinations Authority's most exciting and unique competitons (Potter's Den & The Apprentice) for guests to view: http://www.wizexau.co.uk/forum/index.php? however we do still ask that you join up should you wish to enter them!

First of all I would like to thank all who voted for me to be the President of RAHP (http://rahponline.com); I have won the presidency. TPP along with it's main parter, Mud-Blood.Net will be hopefully leading the RAHP in a way you will all be proud of.

-IMPORTANT-IMPORTANT-IMPORTANT-IMPORTANT-IMPORTANT-IMPORTANT-If you wish TPP & WizExAu to make a newsletter (issues of the old newsletter can be found here http://meetinghall.baselair.com/forum/index.php?showforum=107) then please either PM rich_505 stating that or email him, we are unsure as to the demand of a newsletter and therefore don't want to waste time and effort making one if no one will be reading it! Thanks :)

Have a good day,
Rich

I am currently working on the newsletter, which will be a joint TPP & WizExAu venture. Currently the only way to get your link/button into the newsletter is to be a TPP Partner (http://meetinghall.baselair.com/forum/index.php?showforum=147)

We really appreciate that so many of TPP's members have taken the time to join us over at WizExAu, we're in need of more people to join and visit regularly though... And we need staff members too; http://wizexau.co.uk/forum

http://www.thepotterpolice.co.uk/imagehost/ Introducing TPP Services Image Hosting! We're offering you a photobucket-esque service to store images for posting on other websites/forums or for posting to show designers etc on our forum. Alongside that we do have the File Hosting Service (http://thepotterpolice.co.uk/filehost) and hopefully we will be introducing more services like these over the next few weeks.

With regards to forum and website security issues, I know TPP has stopped providing security related services but we are currently working on some ways of raising awareness of forum and website security vunerabilities and issues which will hopefully be releasing in the coming months. TPP and WizExAu are there for the members of the Harry Potter Community, together we can all make a difference; in the past year TPP has revolutionised the way graphics etc are requested in the HP community, we've helped many forums and websites after security compromises BUT none of this would have been possible if it wasn't for members who believed in us and what we are doing. Being a staff members on TPP is like giving something back into the community that has given us all so much, why not take a look and see if you could work for us:

We are still collecting some information for the listing but the majority of the work is already done and we are eager to get more of YOU involved in this :-D

Please vote for WizExAu in Dervish-Banges.com Awards: http://www.dervish-banges.com/awards/voting.php And Platform 93/4 where possible too ;-)

Also please join WizExAu if you already haven't, our Potter's Den competiton is now really taking off and as I've said in the podcast I have been really impressed with the ideas submitted and the people who have taken part. We have still got plenty of positions open if you wish to work for us, we particularly want help with advertising at the moment so if you feel you can lend a hand then don't hessitate to apply.
