I really hate cockroaches but i don't mind any other bug.

I have an amazing fear of party balloons, so much so that I can't stand to have them anywhere near me. Both the texture and the noise they make when they burst spook me. <Shudders> Another phobia is thunderstorms. If there's a thunderstorm when I'm at home during the day, I have to close the curtains and switch the lights on so that I don't see the lightning. My last phobia is throwing up. I definitely fear that!

I am terrified of wasps :(. I've never been stung by one but I have an irrational horror of them and I will scream and bolt if one comes into my vicinity. I also don't like heights. I have a horror that one day I will be inexplicably standing on top of a sky scraper and a wasp will come at me :(

I'm terrified of dogs and anything in a sphere shape.

i'm afraid of heights... not that i fear to be on top of a high building or sth, but i'm afraid that i might jump off... even when i'm on a deck of a ship, i'm afraid to look down at the sea :p i fear that i could get a terrible need to swim :no: i'm asraid of myself, i guess :D

I have a fear of Eisoptrophobia or also known as Catoptrophobia which is fear of mirrors.

Nope, don't have any phobias. Well, I probably do, but none that are common. I mean everyone is afraid of something, and practically every fear has a scientific name with the word "phobia" after it.

I'm scared of falling of high places. I have no idea whether that can be categorised as fear of heights, or fear of falling. I'm also easily freaked out by cockroaches. I don't squeal like a pig when I see one, but they just freak me out, with their waving anttenae and creepy legs. Their colour throws me off too.

I'm also scared of being wrong. Like once, my grandfather asked me a question, and I answered, and ended my answer with an 'I think.' He asked me why I was so frightened of not being right, and that nobody is going to hurt me just because I got something wrong. But even then, I'm still doing it. Adding an 'I think' and an 'I'm not so sure though.' at the end of every sentence.

falling is my only phobia. I was free-climbing a cement tower and fell about two floors before I caught myself. since than I cant even do roller coasters.

I'm afraid of frogs and moths. I have no idea why. It's irrational and stupid.

I'm really afraid of cats, there's something weird about the way they stare at me...and platform shoes, its really stupid, but I fear the platmorm might break and I fall and crack my skull open...It's really irrational and stupid...

Edit:I now know I have Felinophobia (fear of cats), the other one (wearing platform shoes) I haven't found yet.

I have a phobia of being hit by a car, since it already happened to me two years ago, and now Im terrified it will happen again, I am so so careful when crossing roads.
Im also pretty wary of spiders, and wasps, though I wouldn't say its a phobia..

I have methyphobia which is the fear of alcohol. It may sound strange, but I've had to go to counseling for it and everything.

I have a phobia of wasps. I just hate the way they zone in on you and I'm terrified that I'll have an allergic reaction if I get stung!

I am also scared of dogs. I've just heard so many stories about savage attacks...

Heights *shudders* but I'm freaked out of falling actually. I mean I can go on zipline things but my feet always feel like they will drop which is freaky... but everytime I go on a roller coaster, I'm very cautious... :scared:

I have one phobia. I can't stand going underwater. I have no idea why, but whenever I stick my head under the water in the pool or something I freak out and get my head out of the water as quickly as possible. I've tried to stay underwater and open my eyes and all that but it scares me to death. I think I might be afraid of the way sound travels through water. The thick silence has always bothered me.

I have a major phobia of clowns! There is just something totally creepy about them, they make me shudder. I'm also afraid of heights & spiders.....

I am ashamed to say I'm afraid of frogs. Have been my entire life. I'm not sure why or how it started. I've tried to get over it. I had my brother put a small little tiny tree frog in my hand, but as soon as he got close to me with it I freaked out and ran away. I'm so bad if I see one jump I will turn around and walk the other direction. I'll go out of my way to avoid it. It's crazy too because I've lived on a lake most of my life.

Snakes! Ahhhhh!!!!

I think I do: I get histeric when I see some big insect near me: bugs, spiders, big flies ... Anything! All my body starts itching ... :S Argh!

I'm scared of snakes....and those you know poisonous spiders....*shudders* eeee I'm freaking myself out just thinking about it.

i love heights, but im unnaturally afraid of horses. so guess what my best friend has? lots and lots of horses. she breeds them. so one day we hopped a fence in her yard and, of course, thats where all the horses were. to say i was scared out of my mind was an understatement.

im also afriad of being in dark places be myself. and it freaks me out when im in one room and there's a mirror, and i can see into another room.

well, spiders are very beautifull creature (for me...)
but i'm afraid of, guess what...SNAIL. if i encounter any snails in front of me i would prefer to retreat & run, no matter how i have important things i to do. Don't know why?
also DOG, but there's a reason for it, i was bitten by my mom's parents dog when i was like, 5 years old in my arm & i still had a tiny little scar of it.
since then everytime i saw a dog, i would shaking and pale.

I'm so scared of open,still, blue water... I always get this strange feeling that I imagine myself swimming in the middle of it.

Well, they are not real phobias but
1.) Whales *What?*
2.) Big things in general in water.
3.) Shadows *preferably Large* in Water.
4.) Heights *to an extent*
5.) Staircases to nowhere *ledges of staircases... that are high up.. you see the connection?*
6.) Oh, and frogs, but that is because one snuck in my house and jumped at my face when I was trying to get it out...

i definitely hate bees! my grandmother decided to demolish a beehive and them the bees went inside our house. me and my sister were assigned to kill the bees flying all around our house. and then when we were on the process of killing the bees by throwing on them something on them, i should say a cloth, so that they will go away, i was suppose to step on the bee when it escaped and then it flew straight to my face and stung me! ahhh! i was stung by this bee and then i get it off my face and step on it! but after all, i got a fever that night! bad bee!

Hmm....I don't know that they're actually phobias, but I am terrified of two things:
1. Falling backwards (I get really mad when someone pushes me back to far when I'm in a rocking chair and things like that)
2. Uncovered windows at night. I always get this weird, incredibly creeped out feeling that I'm being watched (hmm...too many episodes of Unsolved Mysteries?

I have a pigeon phobia. Every day I have to walk through a park full of them, and they always fly at me :grumble:
I did see one hit its head on a bench yesterday, which amused me a bit. It tried to fly when it was underneath it!
Anyway, I diverge.

I once thought I was afraid of nothing but a week again I discovered I actually have two irrational and debilitating fears. The first is...
Drunks.
I am afraid of drunks and the second which could be seen as a reason for the first is..
Vomit.
I am afraid of people vomitting and being vomitted on. I had a drunk guy come into my work when I worked at the front desk of a hotel. He was not only hopelessly lost but completely drunk and was frightening me for some reason. Then I figured it out. He had vomit all down the front of him. He promptly vomitted in my lobby and I ran for it. It was the middle of the night and housekeeping was not there so I called my boss and he came in to clean it up. He than sent me home because he said I looked like I was about to be sick myself and was very shaky and jumpy.
Weird...I don't know why.

I have a HUGE fear of spiders! Everything about them!
I even hate the tiny little money spiders that you get in the summer. :scared:
I screamed when moody got the spider out in goblet of fire! And chamber of secrets!
I need a way to get over them without actually touching/going near them!! :no:

Heights expetally if I can see all around

I went on the London Eye Really tall farest wheel and totaly freaked out. I wouldn't open my eyes or get off the bench until it was over. Also I hate sitting next to windows on planes.

I also have a fear of being deep water/open water

I am scared of clowns and suburbs, and if anyone out there shares my irrational fears, I'd like to meet you, then I would have someone to join me in my dark corner

Fear of heights, caves(some kind of claustrophobia) and the worst...Fish!!!
If there are any fish in the sea(and in most of the cases there are some), I would probably stay out of the water while everyone else have fun:shrug:

closed in spaces and people hating me or everyone not likeing me oh yea and people (and pets) I care about dying.

My phobias include: the ocean, crows, lizards and other insects.

Loud noise scares me.. :no: ... that`s why i never listen to music very loud.. i hated live concerts and discos when i was little :(.. but i can deal with them now ;)

SILVERFISH!!!! :nc: I also hate spiders faces with their fangs and eyes...in Chamber of Secrets I couldn't watch the part with Aragog, because there is just something about a spider's face that just grosses me out!!!

I'm terrified of spiders! I don't care how small they are, they're horrible!! As Ron said in CoS, it's the way they move!! They have way too many legs for my liking! :p

my phobia is of elevators!i cant stand the closed in space and the upwards and downwards motions!

Like many others before me, I too have a fear of bees and wasps even though I've ever been stung by one. It's just the noise they make, the way they fly, the way they look and that comforting thought that you may have a severe fatal reaction after being stung by one. Apiphobia, the fear of bees (or so I believe).

I suffer from Sociophobia, Thalassophobia and Claustrophobia. Which are fear of Society in general, fear of the sea or ocean and fear of confined spaces.

Not real phobias but:
- open doors
- open or uncovered windows (at night)
- stair cases where you can look through the steps
- high buildings (when I stand on top I always wonder if they'll collapse)
- rooms without windows (though I don't mind elevators if someones with me)
- somebody getting hurt (having something like a heart attack) or dying and me not being able to help (witnessed it twice, never want to go through it again)

Well, I discovered that I am Claustrophobic, not real bad, like I can do elevators in malls and stuff. And if there are windows, I am ok, but like when I first step onto an airplane, my chest gets really tight and I don't like it. But other confined spaces, like this dome thing at space camp... that was awful. :( I had this horrible fear that it was gonna collapse on us, it was way to confined!! It got better when they turned on the lights to show where all the stars where, and I felt like I was outside. And the elevator part in the Haunted Mansion ride at Disneyland where it is all dark and confined was terrible too.

Someone said that they can't stand open windows at night? That bugs me too!! I wouldn't say that it is a phobia of mine though. I just don't like not being able to see what is out there. :)

I'm a germiphobe if you've ever seen one. My hands are always really dry in the winter because I wash them so much.

I feel stupid saying this, but I am afraid of sharks. Deathly afraid of them. I haven't been to the beach since I was three, when I saw my first shark. It could be because I saw Jaws when I was very little and it changed me. Or it could be because I close friend of mind was killed by a shark. Even after learning about them in my elementary school, I am still afraid of them. There are only 5 species out of the some 300 that have been reported to attack or kill any human, but all the same, I am completly afraid of sharks. And, no, I don't know what the phobia is called. But it doesn't change my fear of those underwater monsters. :scared:

Bugs. I can't stand them, I hate them, and they hate me. I found one in my lunch (vegetables), accidentaly cut in pieces. This summer I found one in my bed, and that night while I was reading HBP, a bug was crawling on my walls, and I've hunted it for two hours, but I couldn't get near it... I can't even kill them, they are so... disgusting. My other, but not so big one, phobia, are bridges. Hate them... And of course, I am afraid of the ending of HP books. :D

I have a fear of Vomit. Basically if I hear someone vomiting, I run out of the room and start gagging myself. I used to Volunteer at the Help Desk at our Local Hospital. One time this lady came down with her Mother who was in a wheelchair. The Mother Vomited and I was so thankful the Woman I volunteered for was there. She handled the situation, while I ran out of there gagging.

I also have blenophobia or Tyrnophobia--which is a fear of needles and injections. Though it has gotten better since I was a Child. I used to be horrible. If I was going to the Doctor for an appointment and knew I was going to have a needle I would fret about it for days. When the time came I would start freaking out. My Mom NEVER had to hold me down, but she did have to put her hand over my eyes.

I also have a fear of snakes, Earwigs, Bees. This may sound really weird, but I also have a fear of Escalators. If I'm at a Shopping Mall and there is an Escalator right in front of me and an Elevator is 10 or 20 stores away, I will walk to the Elevator or take the stairs. It has something to do with my co-ordination. I can't seem to get my feet on to the Escalator quickly enough. Plus the people behind you don't think (hey, she's having problems here) and start to push around you.

I don't like Balloons either. I too hate the noise they make when they are rubbed against each other, plus it scares the **** out of me when they pop.

The crusty stuff around the rim of gallons of milk...Shots! I can't handle getting them, especially during winter when I'm cold.

I dont have any but here comes a funny one I know from boy... buttons phobia, he just starts screaming when you frow them to him. I think he might have eat one as a baby and blockaged his respirations, the only thing that came to my mind to have this type of phobia.

I have a huge fear of flying. Sitting on the end of the runway waiting for take-off is when my nerves are at their worst, but I am never comfortable until I am back down on the ground again and off that plane. Unfortunately I've got to fly twice this year - one's a short flight but the other is a long haul one - which I am not looking forward to!

My other phobias are spiders and tunnels. I hate the thought of being stuck under ground in an enclosed dark space.

I've been afraid of heights and falling since I fell off my roof when I was 7.

Spiders. Actually, most insects. I'm feaful of bees, wasps, hornets, etc because I was stung many times in my life (once time, 3 at once because they were caught in my hair).

I have a great fear of all insects, can't get near on without having a complete breakdown.

I think I may have dental phobia to some degree. Maybe not clinical dental phobia, it's not debilitating, but I get really anxious when I think about going to the dentist :scared: Most people will say it's related to past negative experiences at the dentist, but I really haven't had any!

I am absolutely terrified of cockroaches! Ewwwwwwwww... They freak me out. I won't even move to certain parts of the country because they have them, and they are big and fly...Last March, I went to visit my Dad in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, there no matter where you live...cockroaches will frequent your home. The first morning I was there, I woke up with one by me....Aaaaaaaa...I jumped out of bed so fast, I tripped and fell on the floor! Needless to say, I couldn't sleep well the rest of my trip:scared:!

Cocoroaches. I just see one and I scream without stoping. I'm also a little bit scared of hegits.

I'm scared of common and weird things. I'm claustraphobic and I hate heights as well as crowds. My weird ones are that I'm terrified of bellybuttons *shudders* and the colour gray.

I have a fear of spiders (arachnophobia), clowns (?), squirrels (?), and birds (?). This is just a joke but my friends say I have cakeophobia, which in their world is a phobia of cake.

i have an intense phobia of basketball..i know its weird. this semester we're playing basketball in gym, so yeah, basically i have a panic attack every other day. i don't know why i have this phobia, but i've had it ever since i was a little kid..even being around people playing basketball makes me nervous.

The only real thing I'm scared of is cuts.
Yes it's weird; I don't mind blood generally but I can't stand cuts, in fact I have huge trouble getting through Harry's detentions with Umbridge because it disturbs me so much; once I skipped the main chapter with it because I couldn't stand it.
I think its just the self harm cuts I hate; have no idea why though.

i can't stand being in the light for too long. it might not be a phobia, but it still scares me.

Dogs. Absolutly terrified of them. Walk out on roads to avoid them. If I'm alone on a street and I see a dog (even in a garden) I'll wait until some random person comes along to walk with them. If they get too close I can't move and I start shaking all over. Some of my "friends" are really mean about it. They don't understand how anyone can be afraid of dogs so they will porpusly bring their dogs up to me and practically set them on me.

I am terrified of insects, but only when they are inside. I don't care if a huge spider walks by me, as long as it's not inside, but outdoors, as it should be.

Generally, when I see an insect inside I start shaking and get really nervous. I also hate looking at pictures of insects.

Moths. Moths are evil. They divebomb me and when I splat them they turn into dust. It's creepy. They hate me and I hate them, but they're the ones with the power.

I just hate them. I look down and I totally freak. When I put my hand over where there's nothing beneath to support it (like putting my hand over the rail where there is massive heights...) I feel like my hand is going to drop. So creepy.

Strange to say but, I hate ferris wheels. They are so scary. Makes my stomach go round and round... *eurgh* I am never going on one again... ever.

I'm scared to death of crocodiles and alligators- to the point that even when I see them on T.V., I get goosebumps :scared: :scared:

Me too! Sadly I think I have waterphobia now because I can't swim anymore because one time I almost drowned when I was swimming and I couldn't do it again because I get scared. I'm not bothered though because I know 3 other people that are!

I'm not sure which of these more accurately describes my phobia:
"Tropophobia"--fear of making changes
or
"Cainophobia"--fear of newness or novelty

It's more of a fear of a change from the routine, so I'm not sure what describes that best.

Heights, but that's fairly normal. I do have a weird one, though.

Octopi (like octopus, but plural). I haven't found an offical name for that, but I'm probably the first recorded case. :lol: They just creep me out...

I have major arachnophobia, and cockroach-o-phobia. Yuck. :shivers: And I'm not afraid of them, but I don't really like birds all that much, especially sea gulls and pigeons. I think I saw enough sea gulls (and what comes out of them) on Alcatraz to last me a lifetime.

I can't walk up or down a dark staircase without a mad dash for the nearest light switch and a severly pounding heart at the end...

The dark doesn't bother me...
Staircases I look at as good excerise...
But put the two together and I'm terrified don't know why though....

That happened to me when I went up there. The wind was really strong too.... I was too busy trying to keep my skirt down to be scared though! Although I ended up stood between two of my friends in the lift on the way up and both of them are terrified of heights. Not fun.

Anyway:
Spiders..... ick. Most bugs I'm like... "ew, a bug" but spiders terrify me. I'll just sit there and curl into a ball and stare at it until it either goes away or someone squishes it. Mind you if it goes away I end up looking around the floor to make sure its not near me.

And china dolls. I absolutely hate china dolls. They creep me out sooo much! I have no idea why, but I can't stand being in a room with a china doll if I can see its face. If I can't I don't mind so much, biut if I can see its face it freaks me out.

Yes, I am very afraid of death, the wounds...

whatever the phobia for roaches is...because I am in constant terror. my house is full of them.

Waiting rooms that don't have a fish tank.. fish tanks help calm me down :lol:
Rubber gloves. The kind they use in hospitals/dental surgerys. I hate how they snap them on! :sad:

I don't really like heights either, but not as much for it to be a phobia. I'm too scared of things, I know! :lol: But I thought the list would be longer than that, so good! :D

For me it's snakes. My friends think it's funny because i freak out if i see a snake. They all want to see Snakes on a Plane with me but to scared to see it. I can't even stand watching the trailers for it.

Heights. I am so scared of being in the air....I can't even go off diving boards or those stairs with the spaces in between each step *shudder*.

When I have to get a shot I basically freak out, throw up, or pass out. Sometimes all three. I start shaking and craying... it's really embarrassing. I wish I was just like everyone else. I can't even look at them on TV cause I freak. Just the other day I had to get a filling and my dentist knows that I have this phobia so he snuck the needle and I didn't see it or feel it but now my cheek is swollen and I look like a chipmonk who had a stroke with only half of my face working. It's really painful and I can hardly open my mouth, eat, or touch my cheek. Is this normal?

Spiders...but really, only when they have the element of surprise by landing on me (and really, who doesn't hate that?)...and when I get flys buzzing around in my room and I'm convinced they're divebombing my head!...

I have several phobias. I get really scared in small spaces. I didn't used to but then I went caving and completely panicked. Now I can't go in lifts/elevators and I hate tunnels. I also hate crowds.

Another one is my fear of opticians. It's so annoying because I really need to get my eyes tested but I just can't pluck up the courage to go. :grumble:

The worst one is my fear of choking. It's absolutely awful! It takes me forever to eat something because I'm so scared I'm going to choke and I'm also really on edge when someone is eating something near me-I actually have to fight the urge to knock the food out of their hands! :lol: I also can't swallow medication because of this stupid phobia. :sad:

i have a ton of phobias like snakes, spiders, speaking in front of lots of people, guns, shots, car accidents, and plane chrashes, but mostly im scared of doctors

I can't stand CLIFFS. When I went to the Grand Canyon I sat on the ground in a ball crying. It was terrible! I'm also afraid of shark attack. I LOVE SHARKS, and I've swam with them, but I go to Hawaii frequently and the Outer Banks and I'm TERRIFIED because at the Outer Banks the water is so murky.

I once pretended to be claustophobic when a rollercoaster I went on broke down.

I used to have a major fear of needles...but I figured out how to conquer that. Now I am extremly afriad of flying.

arachnophobia!!!!!!! I am completely TERRIFIED of spiders, or just all insects but definitely horrified of spiders!!!

spiders, the dark (I have slept with a night-light my entire life, and I am an adult now!... I am terrified of the dark), and anything coming anywhere near my eyes (I have never touched my eyeball before - that completely grosses me out and I can't even watch people put contacts in their eyes, and eye doctors always get frustrated with me b/c I can't put drops in my eyes and they can never get that puff of air in my eye... but thankfully I don't need glasses...) =)

I, too, am terrified of both bugs and public speaking (or doing anything with a bunch of people watching me). I'm always afraid of humiliating myself, even if it's around people who probably wouldn't tease me if I did. Interviewing is an issue for me too. I'm not good at thinking up examples on the spot so I spend a lot of time saying "umm" and "uhhh"

I really hate fire, loud noises, and FIRECRACKERS!! I get like hysterical when fireworks are near me. I think it's because my brother always threatened to shoot them at me (:lol:) when I was little but I never go outside during the
4th of July :sad: Loud noises...ughh..I just feel like fainting or something whenever I'm around loud noises..and fire..I hate hate hate it.

Oh and I have a fear of rubberbands. Me and my brother use to shoot each other with them but I seriously go crazy if someone is shooting one at me now.

Bees for the most part. Whenever i see one near me I scream my head off and run away.

I don't really like Lightning either, it's cool to look at and take pictures, but when your out in it and it makes your horse freak out... it isn't so fun.
I'm not a big fan of cows either. They give me dirty looks. Wow... That sounds really stupid.

wax figurines, or things that look real but really aren't. AHH! Those really creep me out. Like wax museums? My family went in one, one time. Yeah, pretty sure I made my dad stay outside with me. I wouldn't even go in the lobby. Animatronic stuff I can sometimes handle, if I don't get too close, but if it's really big (like a dinosaur or something) then I get really freaked out. Like the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disney? I can handle some of that, but I get a little scared when I get close to the "pirates." Yes, I know it's wimpy. Good thing I live in Nebraska and don't get a chance to go on those rides often... Wow, I'm getting the shivers just thinking about it...

Spiders I hate Spiders they are so creepy...

but...

those little rolled up pieces of tomato skin in spaghetti sauce.... I gag when I see them, I can't eat them because I keep thinking I'm gonna choke to death on one, the bigger they get the worse it is, I actually have to pick them out, which is very time consuming, and I have trouble eating pizza, spaghetti, salsa, and sometimes ketchup... basically anything with tomato-ish sauce... I have to check each bite before I put it in my mouth.

I'm terrified of sharks! If i ever came across one i'd die of a heart attack before it had the chance to eat me! I'm also scared of spiders, i hate the way they move and pretty much everything about them! Clowns, i've had soooo many nightmares about evil clowns, now i can't even look at them without freaking out! Wasps and huge queen bees, don't like the way they buzz or fly at you. Drowning. It's the worst way of dieing in my opinion, or getting eaten by a shark alive, or murdered by a clown.

I hate clowns....when I was little, my parents hung a clown sitting on a swing from my ceiling in my bedroom. It had a huge grin on it's face, and it's eyes were black, no white whatsoever, just pure black. I used to turn it around so it would face the wall before I go to bed. I'd wake up in the middle of the night and it would be facing me again.

Yes. I have a serious phobia to fish. Dead or alive, (even photographs), they scare the hell out of me. And I am not even joking. If you were to put a fish in front of me without me expecting it I would scream so loud, and on a number of occasions I have even burst into tears. I have no clue where it comes from but it absolutely petrifies me. I have to avoid the fish aisle at the supermarket and I can't eat with people if they eat fish. It isn't just a grossed out thing or a freakish thing for me, it is absolutely petrifying for me. And it makes my heart beat so fast. I was once working at a supermarket, and a fish came on my till. I jumped about a foot in the air and actually knocked my chair over. I scared the customers a bit, but seriously, it just really scares me. And once when my mum put a huge fish in front of my dad at supper, I screamed so loud out of shock, fell over backwards and burst into tears of hysterics. It isn't planned and it isn't wanted, it just happens.

i know this sounds totally strange but i have a terrible phobia of cotton wool, i just cant go anywhere near the stuff without freaking out, and what is stranger is that nothing else freaks me out, just cotton wool and maybe my maths' teachers' eyes, they pop out really badly.

I have a few phobias I dont like the dark, I am afriad of hieghts, I am major afriad of snakes and spiders, and I am freaked out about tornadoes. I had a really bad dream of one sucking my daughter away from me.

But i'm afraid of moths, butterflies, dragonflies, big flies, birds...and yeah, basically anything that flutters, i scream if something comes anywhere near me. And, im not really afraid of it, but i detest the scheechign sound that metal makes, like that calk board scraping sound. Ahh, it makes me ill.

I also have this incredible fear of the sea...I'm okayish until I get in past my waist, then it scares the hell out of me because I'm afraid of sharks and the fact that the depths are unknown and all that kinda thing. Just scares me to know there's a totally different world around my body that I can't see properly.

I'm probably more scared of dying a gruesome death. I'm not really scared of death itself but there are some ways I really don't want to die. I don't know if this is a phobia or not? But I think about it often. It might stem from some instances in my family. Someone actually tried to murder my father once when I was just a year old. And no it wasn't some attempted mugging on the street, it was some guy who came into my dad's office. It's too long ago for me to remember the event personally but still. There are some other things also. :( Such as my family and I actually having to sneak into our house from the back once. That had something to do with my dad also.

I didn't like it either when my uncle got on the front page of the newspaper and it wasn't very good. LOL. That made me feel a bit scared when I went to school that day. Especially since we have the same last name and it's a rare name. Actually one of my teachers made the connection once and asked me about it.

I'll note that no my family aren't politicians or anything and it probably sounds more crazy than it actually is. But obviously some people have been out to get my dad before at least for some reason or another. So I can't help but worry a little. Well not only for myself but for my dad too and my other family.

So I don't know....phobia of running into someone who doesn't like us very much?

I am terrified of bees/wasps. I've never been stung but I'm so scared I'll have an allergic reaction to them or something like that because I've never been stung. Most bugs just creep me out and I don't like to have anything to do with them (don't ask about my insect collection for Biology...) but bees/wasps can hurt me so I hate having them anywhere near me.

I don't like Knee's, at all. I can't look or touch one and sometimes if I lay on my front in bed, I can't stand to lay like that for long because I can feel my knees being pressed onto the bed and I'm scared that they will come out. I have problems with my Knee's so maybe thats why. haha.

I'm petrified of snakes. AAAaaagh!! They do all that moving with no legs!!!! Creepy. And death. I'm so in love and I'm scared of not being able to finish my life... Scary.

snakes don't bother me, just poisonis or large ones that wrap around you or eat you.

I don't like RACOONS!! Those things scare me, they're rabid, nasty animals.

Just heights for me, it's not that I'm terrified of it. But being up in a tall place just overwhelms me.

I have a rather ridiculous fear of bees. I am not even allergic to them, so they cannot hurt me that much.

I know this is usually what a little kid might be afraid of, but I am deathly afriad of the dark. Outside, I'm fine, for some oddly wierd reason, but inside... I panic!

The only phobia I have is of deep water, especially deep water that I can't see the bottom of. I saw Jaws as a small child, and while I love that movie, I'm now afraid of the ocean a little bit. All of which is funny and very ironic, seeing as though I have been a competitive swimmer and water polo player most of my life.
Although bees and wasps do freak me out, it's not dabilitating. Sorry if I completely butchered that word.

Weazleby, I'm afraid of deep water, too! And it's also cuz of the Jaws movies :). I can never swim in dark water, whether's it the open ocean or a river (anything I can't see the bottom of)... I can't even swim in my pool at night with the light's off! I also get nervous when I'm swimming alone, even if it's just in my pool, too. :rolleyes:

I also used to be afraid of heights (acrophobia, I think). I did lots of things to get over it, particularly going on rides like "The Drop Zone" at King's Dominion. :) I still get a bit nervous when I'm standing on high balconies and the like, though. Like I'm afraid a strong gust of wind is gonna knock me over the edge or something...

I'm afraid of public speaking (glossophobia), something I'm also working on getting over, and I don't particularly like spiders or snakes, either. And of course I'm terrified of failure. That's atychiphobia, I think. But I think just about everyone has that fear.

Yes, that's me, too! I have pale, pale skin and lots of freckles, and I blush like crazy the second I get the slightest embarrassed, and that includes the dumbest situations, too. Like, I start blushing when I get called on by a teacher to answer a question in class! And everyone always notices and comments on it when they see it, too. Humiliation galore...

Tomato Ketchup :blush: It's the smell. It makes me feel ill. I can't eat with someone if they put it on their food. If I can smell it when I'm eating...I can't finish my meal. It's just...ICK! I'm also terrified of dinosaurs :lol:
