Harry Potter and the Prophecy Revealed

Disclaimer: All of the Characters, sadly, are not mine. They all belong to J.K. Rowling. On the other hand I did make up the plot.
Ch. 1

Harry Potter was staring out his window. It was 11:03 P.M. In just an hour he would be 17 and out of the Dursleys hair. The thing was he had to be out before 12 because the blood protection from his mother would fall and Voldemort might attack. So he had to get out before than.

He couldn’t wait to see the Weasleys again. Hermione and Ron were with him now. They were going to Godric’s Hollow after Bill’s and Fluer’s wedding. He was happy that bill and the other Weasleys found pleasure in such hard times.

His thoughts then strayed to Ginny. The fierce red head who he loved so much. He knows that by protecting her he had to be away from her. It broke his hear when he broke up, but knew it was for the best.

‘Then again it was Dumbledore who said love was your greatest weapon against Voldemort’ replied his mind. The thought of his past Headmaster made Harry’s mood dampen. He was having nightmares about Dumbledore’s death. If only he could have gotten out of being immobilized, then he would have stopped Snape from killing him.

‘Stop thinking about that!’ he was back to where he started. He sighed and looked at the clock. 11:23 P.M. He had already packed so he was already set. He turned around to find both Hermione and Ron looking at him, concern in there eyes. They had been staying with him so they could research what might be the two other Horcrux and where they might be.

“Hey Harry, it’s almost time to go” Said Ron.
“Ok, let me make sure I have everything” He replied.
He looked around his room and satisfied that he had everything, he went out side with Hermione and Ron.

“You ready?” Hermione asked.
“Yep.” They both replied.
She took out a locket and made it into a porkey. Together they soared back to the Borrow, back home.
——————

They landed in the kitchen were Mrs.Weasley was making a late night snack.

“Oh, you made it safely! Wonderful. I thought something terrible had happen.” Mrs.Weasley said. She gave them all a bone-crushing hug.
“Now why don’t you three go along and put your things away, while I make something” She said.

Harry was going to sleep in Ron’s room while Hermione was going to Ginny’s. Ginny was already awake so she too headed back down to the kitchen

Mrs. Weasley had made some delious sweets. The conversation at first was awkward, then it be came more relaxed.

“So Harry, ready to be 17 in 10 minutes?” Asked Ginny

Both Harry and Ginny had an awkward time saying hi to each other, but had relaxed although the both wanted to be in the others arms.

“Yeah, can’t wait to use magic so I don’t have to do it the muggle way anymore.” He replied.

As the time went on, Harry was caught looking at the clock more and more. Only one more minute. Harry stared at the clock willing time to go faster.

The room was startled when Harry had shouted “Yes!”

He was officiously 17 now. Happy birthdays were given to him from the people who were awake. Mrs.Weasley threw them out and ordered them to go to bed. Harry being really excited didn’t think he could go t sleep but was surprised when as soon as his head hit the pillow, he was asleep.

Harry was up feeling great. It was his birthday after all. He noticed that Ron was awake and already down stairs. After showering and feeling refreshed, he made his way down to the kitchen to find the Order and the Weasley’s there with a surprise party waiting for him.

Harry was shocked, he never had a party before and this was just amazing.

“Happy birthday, Harry!” Said Remus

“Thanks Moony! You guys didn’t have to go all this for me” He said, awed.

“Of course we did, dear” Said Mrs.Weasley.

“Wotcher Harry!” Said Tonks.

“Hello Tonks, everybody! WOW! Thanks!” Said Harry.

As the party commenced, Harry felt more and more at home. Except for one person, Ginny. He couldn’t keep his eyes off her. He never thought he’d seen a more beautiful sight. He was watching her now, laughing at something the twins were saying. His thoughts were interrupted by Mrs.Weasley bringing out the cake.

On the cake said ‘Happy birthday Harry!’ with 17 candles.

“Come on Harry, blow out the candles.” Ginny said.

“Yeah, I can hear Ron’s stomach growling.” Fred said.

Harry not sure what to wish for since he didn’t even know if he would survive to his 18 birthday, settled for wishing that no one in his family got hurt in the war. After the candles had been blown every one got a piece of cake.

Ginny came up to Harry and said. “Happy Birthday, Harry. How does it feel to be an adult now?”

“Oh it feels fantastic. Never better.” He replied.

Ginny smiled, happy that Harry was happy. They both went into a comfortable silence, enjoying their cake. Harry was about to complement Mrs.Weasley on her excellent cooking when his scar exploded with pain.

He cried out, dropping his dish and fork, clutching his scar. He felt anger. More anger then he ever felt. He knew somewhere Voldemort was torturing or killing someone for doing something wrong. He was in pain for what seemed like hours, not even noticing he was bleeding at the knees for dropping them right into the broken glass.

Finally he felt relief and the pain was decreasing. He was panting and sweating.

“Harry! Are you alright?!” Ginny said.

But instead of answering he threw up all his birthday cake. Harry felt horrible. He knew somewhere Voldemort had killed someone and it sickened him to know that Voldemort took pleasure in it.

“Oh Harry, come on lets move you.” Ginny said.
But Harry stayed where he was, knowing if he moved he would throw up again.

“Harry, what happened?” Asked Hermione.

“He’s angry, very angry. He killed someone.” He replied. As soon as he did though he threw up. After gathering up his strength he pushed himself to face the others.

Mrs.Weasley removed the throw up and put a cool cloth to his forehead; Harry soon relaxed and lay in Mrs.Weasley arms.

“Why would he be angry? Something must have happened.” Bill said.

“Yeah if only we had some way of knowing what it is though.” Ron said

“His plan to whatever it was had gone bad, someone or something changed everything he had planned. Now he’s angry.” Harry said. Still lying in Mrs.Weasley arms, not wanting to move from the comforting spot.

Ginny wanting to move on to something else. She didn’t want to think about Voldemort, whenever she did, she thought about the prophecy.

“Come on, Harry still has to open his presents!”

“Yes Harry dear.” Replied Mrs.Weasley.

Mrs.Weasley helped Harry to the couch. But when she made to move to the chair she always sat in, Harry stopped her.

“Can you sit with me please?” He asked. Mrs.Weasley’s eyes filled with tears.

“Of course dear”

Harry not carrying about the others cuddled up to Mrs.Weasley. He just felt like he needed motherly love.

As Harry opened his presents Harry was feeling very great about having all his friends and family here. He knew he should probably worry about Voldemort but right now it was his birthday and he was with the people he loved.

From his presents he got a Dragon hide jacked from Bill and Charlie. From the twins he got there new projects from the Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes. From Ron, candy. Hermione got him a defense book. Tonks and Remus got him a watch that protects you and alerts you when danger is near. The order came together and got him, a puppy? Yes! A real puppy. He was a small thing, but was sandy in color and very playful. Harry decided to mane him Spunky. Harry loved him from the start. Mr. and Mrs.Weasley put Harry’s face on their family clock.

Harry was very grateful for that. He hugged Mr.Weasley and kissed Mrs.Weasley on the cheek. Tears welling up in all there eyes.

Finally it was Ginny’s turn. She gave him a small box, in that box was a necklest. On it was a crystal shaped like an H. The color was green. The exact same color as his eyes.

“It has protection. The necklest, when need to will make you invisible. It will also block almost all the spells short at you.” She explained.

“It’s wonderful Gin. I love it. Thanks.” He said, awed.

“Your welcome.”

Harry put the necklest on an even though thy were not together he kissed her on the cheek.

When it was time for the people to leave, everyone said happy birthday to Harry before leaving, promising to be there for the wedding only two days away.

After everyone had left, Harry, after saying goodnight, he went to be and brought Spunky with him. As he lay there he knew that even with the interruption of Voldemort it was the best day and birthday he had ever had. With that he fell asleep. Unaware of the dream he was about to have.
A/N Please review!!!!!!!!! Thanks

Ch.2

He was surrounded by people. People who he knew, Ron, Hermione, everybody. They all had there fingers pointing at him, even Dumbledore.

“Why could you do this to us? We trusted you!” They shouted.

“You killed us! You wasted too much time now were dead. Why!? Why!?” They demanded.

“I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to! I swear! Please I’m sorry!” Harry cried.

“Look what you did to them Harry.” A voice said.

The bodies of the ones he loved molded together there eyes becoming red as blood, there voices snake like. They were molding into Voldemort.

“You will kill all of them. You can’t possibly defeat the Dark Lord, can you? You just a 17 year old, a mere student of Hogwarts. That old wart of a headmaster thought you could, but look at him now, dead! And soon you and your pathetic excuse for a friend and Order of the Phoenix will die. But don’t worry Harry, you’ll be able to see all of them die. Then I’ll kill you. I will. Maybe not now, but I will. I’ll always be there to haunt you, to make you see I will be there, to kill you!”

Harry was horrified! Voldemort new about the Order!

“You won’t kill them. I won’t let you!”

“Oh, I will, just remember, I will always be there. In your dreams, the shadow next to you. Haunting you until you die, for I will make certain you will.” Voldemort said.

Harry woke up to his scar hurting and the Weasleys and some people from the Order crowded in his room. Ginny was on his bed running her hands through his hair. Spunk licking his hands, he seemed to know that his master was feeling dreadful. Harry scratched his head, trying to calm down.

“Harry, are you alright?” Ron asked.

“Yeah, I’m fine.” He said. He didn’t want to worry the Weasleys or the Order about the dream, unfortunately Ginny did.

“No you’re not. That dream wasn’t a regular nightmare. What happened?” She demanded.
Damn, she knows me too well.

“Voldemort talked to me in my dream. He said he would kill after making me watch him kill you. He said that he will always be there, always there haunting me until I die. He knows about the Order too. He knows.” He said.

Everyone was shocked. They knew Snape had not truly been on there side. They should have known that Snape would have told Voldemort about the Order. There thoughts were interrupted by Harry.

“If you guys don’t want to be with me I understand. It’s too dangerous to be with me. As you can tell, Voldemort already put you on his hi list. So if you don’t….” He was interrupted by Ginny.

“Harry James Potter! If you think were leaving now, you must be nuts! Why would we leave you? We all love you and want to help. We didn’t even think about leaving!” She shouted.

“Yeah mate. Just because V…Vol….Voldemort is trying to get us to get you doesn’t mean were leaving!” Ron said.

“We had plenty of times to leave Harry. Plenty of times, were not going anywhere!” Hermione said.

Everybody put in what they had to say. Harry was deeply touched that each and every on of them wanted to be by his side.

“So Harry, do you have it through your thick skull, that were not leaving?” Ginny asked.

“Yeah, I think I have the picture.” He said. “Thanks. It means a lot to me.”

Mrs.Weasley gave Harry a peck on the cheek. “Here you go dear. A sleeping potion.”

“Thanks Mum.” He said. He kissed her on the cheek and drank the potion. He was asleep in seconds.

The rest of the Weasleys trooped down to the kitchen. Each in deep thought. But each having the same meaning: To make sure Harry was safe now more than ever.

“Were going to have to put more guards around here and were ever Harry goes. Exceptionally at Hogwarts.” Mad-Eye said.

“And at the wedding. We can never be too careful.” Mrs.Weasley said.

At the mention of Hogwarts both Ron and Hermione glanced at each other. Knowing full well that Harry had no plan to go to Hogwarts, even if it did open. There looks, unfortunately were noticed.

“Is there something you’d like to tell us Ron, Hermione?” Mr.Weasley asked.

“How do you know if Hogwarts will be open?” Hermione asked. In an attempt to side track them.

“Oh it will be. Professor McGonagall will be the new Headmistress. The school will have lots of wards around it. That added to the wards for Harry will be enough.” Mrs.Weasley said.

Again Hermione and Ron both looked at each other. They both wondered how they were going to explain to them that neither Harry nor Ron or Hermione were going to Hogwarts. They also wondered how they react.

“What do you know that we don’t?” Bill asked.

Sighing Hermione answered, cautious about not reviling too much information.

“I, Ron, and Harry won’t be going back to Hogwarts. Were going to be leaving for a very important journey, after Bill’s wedding, no one is going to tell us other wise.” She said in her most adult voice.

Mrs.Weasley looked out ranged. “What do you mean you won’t be going back?! Of course you will! You need to take N.E.W.Ts this year! What journey are you suppose to be taking? You will not be going any where without any of us adults…”

“Mum, were 17 now, were legally adults too. You can’t stop us from going. And we are going no matter what.” Ron said.

“Where are you going? Can you tell us that? Why are you going anyway? What is the point in going on a journey; do you even know what you’re going to do?” Charlie asked.

“Yes we do. We know where were going for our first destination. We know all we need to know to go on this journey.” Hermione said.

“Where you even going to tell us?” Fred asked.

“Or when you where,” George said, “Leaving?” They said at the same time.

“We were tomorrow. Look we know this is a lot to take in, but please trust us. We know that where doing.” Hermione said.

“This has to do with the prophecy, doesn’t?” Ginny asked who had been quiet this whole time.

She had said it barely above a whisper but if was like she had shouted it.

“Yes, it does.” Ron said.

Only Ron and Hermione knew the contest of the prophecy. Now Ginny was fully aware that Harry was apart in this war some how. She just wished she knew how much he was apart.

“You guys know the prophecy? For how long? We don’t even know. Who told you?” Mrs.Weasley asked.

“Harry told us. He told us when he came here last summer. Dumbledore had told him.” Hermione answered.

“We have to wait and see if Harry will want to tell you. I think he would but just to be safe.” Ron said.

They were all quiet, every one drinking in this new information. When the clock hit midnight everyone was pulled out of there stupor and went to bed, or in some cases trying to. They all had a lot in there minds. The only person who got a good decent sleep in that house was Harry, and he was dosed with a sleeping potion.

The next morning Harry knew something was up. But no one was talking. Mrs.Weasley order everyone to help out with preparations for the wedding tomorrow. She was a right sight, almost having a nervous breakdown. Harry thought that if she didn’t calm down soon there were going to have to put a calming drought in here tea.

It was midday when Harry was called to the kitchen. He immediately knew something was not right, for everyone was there, the Weasleys and the Order.

“Is something wrong? What happened? Did someone get hurt?” Harry asked.

“No one is hurt Harry. Ron and Hermione told us about a journey you will be making tomorrow night. Not the full contest just that you’re leaving and it has to do with a certain prophecy.” Remus said

Harry was amazing calm. “Well I’d expect you to find out sooner or later. So it doesn’t surprise me that you know. I bet you wondering what the journey is and the prophecy. Well I can tell you the prophecy but not the journey, its too risky, but then again everything is risky, and I promised Dumbledore that I won’t tell any one. The prophecy says that I am the only on who can kill Voldemort. That neither can live while the other survives. So it’s me or him” He said amazingly calm.

Ginny couldn’t take it anymore. Its one thing to be dumped by your boyfriend so you life can be saved its an other to know that he’s the only one who can kill evil or die trying. Ginny didn’t know what to do, she felt helpless. So with out a word or glace to anybody she sprinted to her room.

Harry sighed. He knew Ginny would take it hard. So he followed Ginny to her room.

The door was locked. He was not in the lest surprised. Harry knocked on the door. No answer. He knocked again this time harder.

“What do you want?” A muffled Ginny’s voice said.

“Can I come in, please? We need to talk.” He answered.

There was a short silence and the door opened.

“Can I come in?” He asked.

Ginny sighed and went to her bed. Harry took this as a yes and closed the door after him.

“Look I know you’re mad at me. You have the right. I know it’s a lot to take in but Gin you have to understand. I would rather be here with you then go off and kill someone when I don’t even think I can kill. But this is my fate. I have to do this. But Gin do you know that else is my fate?” He asked.

Ginny, who had started to cry looked at Harry and asked, “What is?”

“If I make it, to marry you and have loads of adventures together, to have kids with you, that is my fate after the war. To tell you the truth I like that fate better than the other one.” He said.

Ginny giggled. “I like it too.”

Harry and Ginny held each other like there live depended on it. Every now and then they would kiss or talk. When they did talk it was about nonsense stuff, pointless too. Laughter could be heard about this pointless stuff they talked about. But most of the time they just sat in completes relaxed silence. They were shaken out of there thoughts by someone knocking on the door.

“Come in.” Ginny called

It was the Weasley clan.

“Hey, you guys ok? You were up here for a while, we ere just wondering if something was wrong.” Mr.Weasley said.

“Everything’s ok, dad. We were just talking about how Ron and the rest of my most fabulous brothers would do to me when I was young and what I would do to them.” Ginny answered.

At this Harry laughed out loud, remembering all the stories of all the Weasley brothers cowering in front of there little sister.

“Oh yeah, I remember when you told about bill when you threatened to tell Mum about your little dolls being thrown out the window, and you would also threaten to tell them about the hidden candy in the boys bed room.” Harry said between laughs.

Everyone laughed at this including Bill. It was then that Harry noticed that the Order wasn’t there.

“Hey where did Remus and the others go?” H asked.

“Oh they left, but will be here tomorrow.” Mrs.Weasley said.

The test of the day was filled with laughs and hard work trying to get everything ready for the wedding.

That night with Spunky right next to him Harry went to bed. He had really started to like Spunky. H was very playful and learned fast, although he was turning the house up side down with his biting everything. He starched Spunk’s head and went to sleep.

Harry woke up. It was the middle of the night but he felt like something or someone was watching him. His mind went back to his dream. Voldemort said he’d be there watching him, waiting for the right moment to kill him and all his friends. Harry looked around, no one was there. But he knew he had to keep his senses on alert.

Spunky looked at him. His eyes glowing in the dark, Harry scratched his head. “Hey Spunky, what are you doing up at this hour? Well I should be asking the same question t myself shouldn’t I?”

Again he felt like someone was watching him. He knew he was being paranoid. He looked at his watch it read 3:36 A.M. He knew he wouldn’t be able to sleep, so he headed down stairs to get ready for the wedding after he made his breakfast of course. When he got to the kitchen though he wasn’t alone, Ginny was there and with hot chocolate.

Ch.3

The rest of the morning went by like a blur to Harry. Ginny and Harry had talked about nonsense again. Ginny had said she couldn’t sleep so had decided to make hot chocolate, it always helps. At around 5 or 6 Mrs.Weasley had come down. She was already taking control and it was just Harry and Ginny. She made them breakfast and then told them to make them selves useful by help make breakfast for the rest of the family and the after wedding fest. As the other Weasleys came down Mrs.Weasley made them do last minute wedding things and then sent them off to get ready. Ron and Harry would be staying in Ron’s room with Fred, George, Charlie and the groom, Bill. Hermione was going to dress in Ginny’s room along with Gabrielle and the other bride’s maids. Fleur was dressing in Mr. and Mrs. Weasleys room.

It was know time for the wedding to commence. It was going to be in the garden. When Harry walked in he gasped. The garden was absolutely beautiful. The garden was filled with tons of flowers, filling the place with an aroma that couldn’t quiet be described. There were chairs all around, they were plan white but made the garden more elegant. The alter had flowers all around and a tree provided a nice shade.

Harry sat down in one of the chairs next to Hermione. Hermione was wearing a simple dark pink dress. It may have been simple but she looked stunning in it.

“Well Harry don’t you look stunning.” Hermione said.

“So do you, Hermione.” He replied

The guests started to come. The seats were quickly filled. Then the music played. Gabrielle came out, she was the flower girl. Soon the bride’s maids and groom mates came out in pairs.

Ginny was the first, walking with a tall blond that Harry didn’t know. But Harry didn’t care his eyes were only on Ginny’s. She was wearing an elegant green dress. Jus like the rest, but to Harry she stood out in a good way. Harry couldn’t take his eyes off her. As the wedding continued Harry’s eyes never left Ginny’s. She seemed to be the light bulb and Harry was the moth.

After the wedding and Bill and Fleur were officially married they all went to the after wedding party. Everyone was having a wonderful time. Even Harry enjoyed himself. Maybe it had to do with the fact that he was dancing yes dancing with Ginny. Harry knew that he had to leave tonight, so he made this night with Ginny the best ever.

A slow song came on. It was called “I Swear”. Harry asked Ginny if she like to dance. She said yes.

As they danced everything seemed to go away. All the haunting dreams and reality were gone. There bodies seemed to flow together along with the beat.

“Harry, I’ll miss you.” Ginny said.

“I’ll miss you too Gin. I’ll try to come back. That’s all I can promise. I’ll try.” He said. Tears welling up in both there eyes.

“I know. I guess that will have to do then, huh? Harry will I be able to write?” She asked.

“Only if I sent you something, and even then you might not be able too. But don’t worry, Gin. Everything will be alright. I know this is probably the wring place to say this so follow me.” He said.

Gin obeyed. Harry led her to the lake. In the moonlight it cast an eerie light upon everything. Again Harry felt like he was being watched. He tried to ignore it, but the feeling was getting stronger.

“Harry, are you alright?” Ginny asked.

“Yeah just being paranoid I guess. Look Gin, promise me something, alright? Promise me that if I die you will move on. That you’ll marry someone else, that you’ll laugh and go on adventures. Please promise me that.” He said. Tears spilling down his cheeks like rain.

“I’ll try. That’s all I can give you Harry. I won’t go on so easy. I can barely tale or think abut you dieing. When I do my heart feels like its being ripped out in two. I’ll try that’s all.” She said, tears flowing down her cheeks too.

“Ok. That will be enough. That’s all I ask for.” He said.

They both held each other. Expect this time the kissed more, they didn’t even talk. They kissed, trying to savior it.

“Come on Harry, everyone will be wondering where we are. Besides I think the party is just about over.” Ginny said.

As they made there way back, Ginny was right almost all the guest have gone home. Bill and Fleur were shaking hands and thanking them to the last guest. Then they left with a ‘pop’.

“Harry, go get you things.” Hermione said.

“Ok, be right back.” Harry said.

As he came back down he noticed that every one was there. He wished that they weren’t there for he didn’t think he could say goodbye to them all. For it might be the last time he saw all of these faces.

On the other hand he did want to see everybody. He wanted to make sure they knew how much he cared. Especially Ginny, it always seems that his mid keeps going back to her. He sighed, better get this over with.

“Oh good, Harry your ready.” Hermione said.

“Yep.” He replied

He said goodbye to the Order. It was expediently hard when he said good bye to Tonks and Remus. Remus was the closest person to his parents and Sirius. The thought of losing him was unbearable. Then Tonks had become somewhat of a bigger sister to Harry. He really couldn’t say goodbye.

Then there was the Weasleys. Well except for Bill who had gone off on his honeymoon and Percy who was still a git. He said goodbye to Charlie first then Fred and George. They both had serious faces on looking very misplaced on there usual misfit faces. Then Mr. and Mrs.Weasley, Mrs.Weasley was crying and Harry hated that she was so sad.

“Don’t worry mum, everything will be alright. Well try and not get hurt. We’ll be back as soon as we can. Don’t worry. We’ll be fine.” He reassured her. He hugged her and gave her a peck on the cheek.

“I know dear, it’s just so hard. I just wish you didn’t have to do this, your only 17 after all.” She cried.

Harry just hugged her. He wished he could tell Mrs.Weasley that it wasn’t real that it was all a bad dream, but he knew he couldn’t because it’s not. It’s real and in the real world you get hurt or die.

He then moved to the last Weasley, Ginny. Harry looked at Ginny’s eyes. The brown chocolate eyes, he loved them. The way they sparkled with misfit and the way they flared when angry. He loved them. But now he won’t be seeing those eyes for a while maybe not ever.

“Harry you be careful ok? I won’t be there to take you out of trouble this time.” She said, trying to lighten things up.

“I know. I’m really going to miss you, you know that right?” He asked.

“Of course I do. I’ll miss you too. I love you Harry Potter.” She said through tears.

“I love you too Ginny Weasley.” He said.

And they kissed. Harry put all his love into that one kiss. Hoping it won’t be his last. Ginny to put all her love in that kiss, hoping, like Harry, it wouldn’t be the last.

“Come on Harry. We have to go before the sun light” Hermione said.

“Ok.” He replied, not taking his eyes off Ginny. “Take care of Spunky for me will you?”

She nodded her head, afraid that if she spoke it would make everything more real. She picked up Spunky and held him close.

As Harry, Ron, and Hermione made there way to the spot were they could apparate, they felt more older then 17 year olds.

Harry looked at all the ones he loved, and then looked at his two best friends next to him. With a nod they all disappeared with a ‘pop’. Before Harry apparated he saw the look on Ginny’s face, the look of pure love. He knew that if he did come back she would be waiting, this time to live.

Ch.4

They arrived at Godrics Hollow. The place was in ruins, but that was to be expected. Harry’s heart was pounding in his chest. He suddenly didn’t want to be here, but very much wanted to go to inside.

As he went to the house, everything was a mess. The door was splattered everywhere. The furniture were turned upside down and all around. Everything was shattered. It would be a miracle if even a piece of paper would have survived.

But even as he did look around, he could see that some pictures on the top of the fireplace were still in piece. He went over to them, unaware of Ron and Hermione looking at him with concern in there eyes. He took one photo and blew the dust off. It was a picture of him when he was a baby. The baby Harry was trying to stand as he was holding on to the table. When he would the baby Harry would let go and then struggle to find his balance, then he would fall.

The real Harry put the picture back on the fireplace and then looked at the others. There were pictures of him with his parents or his godfather and Remus.

“Harry, are you alright?” Hermione asked

“Yeah, I think so.” He replied.

Taking a deep breath and taking his eyes away from a picture with him and his parents, Sirius, and Remus together. He knew he’d have to face going upstairs but he didn’t know if he could. Taking another deep breath he headed up stairs.

“You don’t have to go up now Harry.” Hermione said.

“Yeah mate, we could just head out side, you can come back…”Ron started.

“No I can’t, what if I don’t make it? I have to. This is my last chance.” Harry said with determination in his voice.

At the top of the stairs there were three doors one on the far right and two on the left. He decided to go to the right. It was his room. He could tell by the way there was a crib and baby blue walls. There was a dresser and a toy chest. Harry walked to the crib. In side there was a blanket with snitches and a teddy bear. Harry picked them both up. It felt like he knew or could remember them, but it was foggy. He hugged them, trying to calm himself down, not wanting to cry in front of Ron or Hermione.

Harry kept the bear and blanket as they walked to the second door on the left. It was a bathroom. It had a shower and a toilet, and a sink. It was your average bathroom. The color was plain white, gray now that so much dust and decay covered it.

The next room was his parent’s bedroom. Hermione and Ron decided to wait down stairs, to give him some privacy. The bedroom had a king size bed. The color was red and gold, Gryffindor colors. There were dressers and a walk in closet. On the dresser Harry found a few pictures. Some were of him and some of James and Lily at school. Harry was walking around when his foot made a creek on the floor. He knew right away that something was under there.

He pulled out the wood floor and found two boxes. One pink, the other blue. He picked up them both and almost dropped them. There were names on them, James and Lily. He opened James’ box and saw letter and pictures. He also saw some stuff that he knew was his dad’s possessions. Knowing his mom’s had the same thing he opened hers too. He was right, letters, pictures, and possessions. The wall seemed to break because as soon as the saw those both opened, he started to cry.

He cried for all those times he should have shared with his parents, all the information and knowledge of them that he’ll never be able to ask. It was then that he realized he was clutching his teddy bear and blanket for dear like. He didn’t think he would be able to read the letter, not now at least. He picked up both boxes and shrank them and pocketed them. The teddy bear and the blanket he was going to put with his other stuff.

He went down stairs to find Hermione and Ron holding hand and leaning on each other.

“I’m done.” Harry said.

They both looked startled, having not seen him. Harry didn’t want to tell them about the boxes.

“Oh good, well lets look out side then, I’m sure you’d find something out there that you could say goodbye to them.” Hermione said.

“Yeah ok, oh and I’m happy for you both.” He said with a smile.

Both Hermione and Ron blushed.

“So your not mad mate? You don’t feel uncomfortable?” Ron asked.

“No actually I’ve been wondering when you two would actually get together, all I have to say is about time!” Harry said.

Hermione and Ron looked happy and relived. The three walked outside to the backyard. There was dried grass everywhere; it looked more like a dead place, not a backyard for a home. On the right there was a tree with a heart and inside the heart was a J&L. Harry walked to it almost like he was in a dream, flouting almost. When he got there he traced the heart with his finger. He suddenly felt more connected with his parents fore then anything, and the thought of reading there letters soon helped even more.

He turned around to look at Ron and Hermione and said “I’m ready.”

With that they disapparated to the place were they’ll be sleeping for tonight. He couldn’t quiet explain what he felt, it was like they were right there next to him. He could feel there love for him somehow. He knew then and there that if he ever needed them he could always find them within himself. He knew that now. Now he felt complete, almost. One person was still not in his heart, at least not yet, Ginny. But right now he needed sleep. So with that he went to sleep with dreams filled with him and his parents.

The next two weeks Hermione, Ron and Harry had been busy trying to find what the two Horcruxes. They also had to find a way to find the locket. It had to be at number 12 Grimmauld Place. Just how they were going to get in there was the problem. They didn’t even know if the Order was still using it. (A/N: I truly don’t now if the Order is still going there. My books are all in a box and I can’t find the 6th one. So go along with it please.) But they had to find away to got in that house, if you could call it a house.
Then there was the R.A.B. problem. They weren’t truly sure on who it could be. Hermione did say she thought it was somebody but didn’t say exactly who. She herself wasn’t completely sure so Hermione told Ron and Harry that when she was sure she’d tell them.
It was during the second week that an inspiration hi Harry. He rushed to find Hermione and Ron. They were staying at a hotel that was very secretive. The name itself was secretive: The Secret Wizard. The inn was rather large so anyone who didn’t know the place will get lost. Fortunately Harry knew the place quiet well and knew exactly were Hermione and Ron would be.
What he didn’t expect was to walk in on them kissing each other senseless. It looked as if the other was trying to suck the others tonsils out. Harry immediately closed the door, took a deep breath. Trying to get that image out of his mind but failing miserably. When he was finally ready he knocked on the door. He heard movement going on inside.
“Come in!” Hermione called.
Harry waked into Hermione’s’ inn room. He saw that both Hermione and Ron were cleaned up.
“Hey Harry. What are you doing here? I thought you had something to do.” Hermione said, panting slightly.
“Oh I just wanted to tell you both something but seeing as either of you can’t seem to keep your hands or erm… mouths to yourself I’ll just go.” He said with a laugh.
Both Hermione and Ron were beet red.
“I’m joking, but really lock the door next time. I think I might be scared for life.” He said between laughs.
“Sorry, mate, didn’t mean to scare you. What did you want to tell us?” Ron asked.
“Well I think I know a way to get that locket inside Grimmauld Place.” He said.
“How, we can’t get in there. You know that.” Hermione logically said.
“Yes I know, but what about Dobby. Maybe he could get it for us.” Harry replied.
“What! Use Dobby like that? No way! If were getting that locket, were getting it ourselves. Honestly Harry, what are you thinking?” Hermione shouted.
“It was just an idea Hermione. But there’s no way we could get in there! Well I guess we shouldn’t even go there yet because we don’t even know how to destroy them.” Harry sighed.
“Yeah, but we are looking. Maybe there’s something we missed. How did Dumbledore do it? If only we knew!” Hermione said desperately.
“Maybe if we go to Hogwarts and try to find something there or talk to Dumbledore’s portrait! Yeah we could ask him any questions!” Ron exclaimed.
“I don’t think so, about the picture thing, it might work and all of Dumbledore’s stuff must already be out. We could ask Professor McGonagall” Hermione said.
“Yeah but when are we leaven. We have to find all the Horcruxes and how to destroy them soon. I don’t want to wait forever you know.” Harry said impatiently.
“I know mate, but you can’t rush this kind of thing.” Ron said.
“Yeah, I know I guess I’m just impatient.” He replied.
Hermione, Ron, and Harry check out of The Secret Wizard and headed towards Hogwarts. They had to walk a bit so they wouldn’t be spotted by muggles before they could apparate, they apparated to the gate of Hogwarts. As they walked up to the door entrance to Hogwarts they saw Professor McGonagall.
“What are you three doing here? The Weasleys told me you left to go somewhere. No one is hurt right?” She asked.
“No, know one is hurt. We actually came here to ask you something, but it would be best if we went inside.” Harry said.
Professor McGonagall led them to the Headmistress office. She conjured some stiff chairs.
The place looked different then it did with Dumbledore. There weren’t that many instruments and it looked almost the same in her other office.
“We wanted to know if there was anything of Dumbledore’s that we could have and if we could ask the picture Dumbledore some questions.” Hermione asked.
“Well he did leave something for Harry; I’ll just go get it while you ask him your questions.” Professor McGonagall said.
Harry found Dumbledore’s Picture. He was asleep, but Harry knew that he was probable faking it.
“Hello Professor.”
“Hello Harry, good to see you, you to Hermione and Ron.” Dumbledore said his eyes twinkling.
“Professor, we wanted to ask you something if that’s alright.” Hermione asked.
“No my dear, ask away.” He replied.
“We wanted to know if you knew how to destroy the Horcruxes.” She asked.
Dumbledore thought for a moment then said. “Yes I do. It’s a very complex spell, I have written it down for you Harry, that’s what McGonagall is getting, along with something else. You will find it useful, the spell can take a lot out of you if you over do it. You have to be very careful.” He said.
“Do you know how we’re going to get that locket, it’s at Grimmauld Place.” Ron said.
“Use Dobby.” He said bluntly.
Hermione didn’t think that was a good idea but nodded her head. Just then Professor McGonagall came in with a box and a letter, just like his parents.
“Here you go Harry, I think this will help.” She said.
“Thank you, I think we have everything we need.” He replied.
“Yeah, thank you both.” Hermione said.
They bid there goodbyes and left, not knowing exactly were they were going, but they knew they had to find it fast so they could look over the spell and get that locket.
They found a cave along the mountains and set camp there. As they got a fire going, for it was cold and almost dark.
“Lets see that letter; I want to know what this spell is. I can’t believe we have to use Dobby! Oh well come on Harry lets see he letter.” She said.
Harry gave them the letter and they opened it.
Dear Harry,
Once you find this letter or are given this letter then I must be gone. Do not mourn over me, instead live you life to the foulest. Now the spell that will destroy the Horcruxes is very old magic. The spell is called Desaevio, a very powerful spell. It can take a lot out of you so be careful. The box I gave you had a key. The key unlocks a safe in Godrics Hollow; in that safe you will find a book. That book will tell you how to find the rest of the Horcruxes. I know Voldemort put his souls into the stuff he stole, but the book will help more so, so you won’t go around blind in the dark. Well now that, that’s over the box also contains some of my personal things in which I give to you. I hope you would like it and cherish it as much as I have. Remember Harry, keep your friends close, love is your most powerful weapon against Voldemort. I know you can defeat him, I have faith in you. Be sure to live your life like it was your last day and remember lemon drops are my favorite sweet. Good luck Harry.
Albus Dumbledore.
P.S. Don’t go pushing a certain Weasley away; she needs you as much as you need her.
Harry, Ron, and Hermione stood still, trying to digest what they just read. Hermione’s mind was working over time. She knew that she was going to help anyway she could and this Desaevio spell looked really complicated by the way it is described on the second paper that that the boys apparently missed.
Ron was also having a hard time with this; he knew it would be hard, he knew it wasn’t going to be easy either. But the way Dumbledore had described it; it was looking like they couldn’t even do the spell to destroy the Horcruxes.
Harry, on the other hand, wasn’t thinking about the Horcruxes, although he knew he should, but he was thinking of Ginny. Dumbledore had said that he needed her and much as she needed him. Was that true? Did Ginny miss him as much as Harry had? Of course she had, Dumbledore had even said it. Maybe there was away for her to come but being protected as well? His thoughts were interrupted by Hermione.
“Harry, we need to go back to Godrics Hollow. Then we should ask Dobby to get that locket. But of course were going to need the time to figure out this spell. If you haven’t already notice that there was a separate sheet of paper. The directions are all on here.” She said as she showed them the paper.
“Yeah I guess, Hermione why don’t you call Dobby and ask him to get that locket and I’ll go to Godrics Hollow and get that book.” He told her.
He mostly wanted to go there so could his parent’s home, his home, again.

“Ok mate. We can do that. Then we can look at that paper and try the spell on the locket.” Ron suggested.

Hermione didn’t look so convincing but nodded her head.

Harry went outside of the cave and looked around. It was now completely dark. The stars were like fireflies against the pitch black sky, the moon like a big glow in the dark ball. He went back inside and said, “It’s to dark outside. We should do it in the morning.

They both nodded there head and put a Cushing charm on the spot were they were sleeping and went to sleep.

Harry’s last thoughts were, before sleep claimed him, was: he was going to find a way for Ginny to come with him and still be protected.

The next morning Harry went to Godrics Hollow with the box. Now he had to find the safe. He also wanted to find sometime to read his parents letters.

As Harry looked around he started to truly feel like he’s been here before. Like he was remembering when he was one years old. Harry soon found the safe in his room in the closet. There was a lock that you could barely see. He put the key in it and it opened to a whole other room.

It was a small room, having only one think in it, the book.

Ch.5

Harry walked into the room. The book was brown leathered. It looked old but new at the same time. He picked up the book, it had no name, and it was just blank. He opened it there was a note.

Dear Harry,
What is in this book must be kept a secret, even from your friends. I know you probably brought them along but you can’t let your friends see or read this. This book is not just to find the Horcruxes but on how to destroy Voldemort. The ‘finding the Horcruxes’ was just a cover up. The spell you will find is tough, its old magic. The spell will be explained in the book and how to do it. Remember Harry, DON’T SHOW ANYONE! Oh and this is your father. I came upon this spell when looking for a way to protect you and your mom. We knew about the prophecy and we wanted you to be prepared. If you’re anything like me Harry then I knew you’d bring your closets friends. That’s how I knew to tell you not to tell them. We love you so much! Were proud of you.
James & Lily

Harry’s eyes were filled with tears. His parents had tried to help him, even if they weren’t there. He never felt so connected or loved by his parents as he did now. His parents were proud of him, even if he did have to kill.

But how was he going to keep this from his friends? They already know about the Horcruxes. It’s a good thing this book does have some stuff on how to find them. But still how was he going to pull this off. Hermione would be all over this book as soon as he got back. He knew he had to keep it a secret, his dad wouldn’t have told him to if it wasn’t so important.

He sighed, he wanted to do what his dad had said but how in the world was he going to keep this a secret, exceptionally from Hermione. Well he had to try. His parents had wanted him to be prepared, so he would be.

He left the room and closed the door. Making sure that he didn’t leave anything he went outside and sat at the tree were his parents signed there love. He opened the boxes that he brought and took out his mom’s letter and started to read.

Hermione and Ron were both in the cave when he got back. They were both bending over something that he couldn’t see.

“Hey you guys. What are you looking at?” Harry asked.

They both jumped.

“Oh Harry, you scared us. Don’t do that. Man your going to give us a heart attack!” Hermione yelled.

“Yeah mate.” Ron agreed.

“Sorry, I thought you heard me on the way up here. What are you looking at?” Harry asked.

“We asked Dobby to get the locket and he did, were looking at the Desaevio to destroy this Horcruxes.” Hermione said.

“Are you sure it really is the locket?” Harry asked.

“Yes positive.” Hermione answered.

“Ok, what do we ha…?” Harry began

Harry was quiet for a moment, he was sure he had heard something. That feeling of someone watching him came back in full force.

“Harry what…?” Hermione started to say.

“Shush!” Harry whispered. “Get down!”

Harry pulled them down and got there things. He put a delusional spell on them and told them to keep quiet. They crawled out of the cave and saw at least twenty death eaters.

“You sure there here, because I wouldn’t want to be you if they aren’t.” said a death eater, he had a deep voice they didn’t recognize.

“I’m positive. Now quiet you’re jabbering and let’s get in there and keep quiet, we don’t want them to know were here.” Replied the death eater.

As they moved to the cave, Harry, Ron, and Hermione moved father away. They were almost to a spot were they could apparate safely when 5 of the death eaters came out.

The three stood still, very still. Even though they were delusional they could still be seen if they moved and the light caught it.

“Come on; let’s see if they really are gone. Shoot any spell that comes to mind in any direction!” One death eater shouted.

And before they knew it, the trio was exposed, the spell being taken off them with the counter-cures.

They had there wands out and started shooting, the noise attracting the others to come outside.

“Hermione, Ron we need to get out, have any plans!” Harry shouted.

They were standing back to back but so many curses being shouted at, that they had to shout to be understood.

“I got one, why don’t we just apparate.” Hermione said stating the obvious.

“Ok, but where might I ask?” Ron said as he dodged a purple curse.

“Hogwarts gate.” Harry whispered, so only they knew.

But before they could Harry, who was concentrating on his friends got hit with the same curse that Hermione had at the DOM. He cried out and fell to the ground.

“Harry! Ron help me!” Hermione cried.

“On the count of three apparate to Hogwarts gate, we need to get Harry to the Hospital Wing.” Hermione cried.

Blood was everywhere as they tried to get Harry comfortable to apparate, but with the curses flying everywhere, it was making things difficult.

“Hermione, just portkey us out, please.” Harry panted.

“Ok, ok.” She said.

She picked up a rock and muttered something and tapped it with her wand.

“Grab on.” Hermione instructed.

They did.

“On three. One, two, three.” She counted.

They felt the pull below there navel and they sped away, just in time too, for a killing curse was headed there way.

They landed on the ground of the entrance into Hogwarts.

“Come on Ron, help me with Harry.” Hermione panted

“Ok,” Ron said worriedly

Harry for his part was silent obviously in pain but not wanting to make a sound. As they helped him get up they saw that he was bleeding more by the second. Harry felt like he was about to pass out at any given moment. They finally got to the door and opened it.

“Ron call McGonagall, hurry!” She cried as she felt Harry fall against her.

Harry woke up in a cozy bed, he opened up his eyes to see white everywhere and he knew he was in the Hospital Wing. He tried to move to get his glasses but he thought if he moved anymore he would pass out from the pain. Somebody else gave him his glasses.

“Here you go Harry.” Ginny whispered.

He sat up, although it hurt just like he thought it would but he wasn’t going to admit it to her.

“Harry you should lie down.” She said comforting

“I’m fine.” He assured her.

Ginny rolled her eyes.

“Why are you here? Where are Hermione and Ron? Did something happen to the Borrow?” Harry asked.

“Were all fine Harry, it’s you who’s not. Hermione and Ron are in the library and nothing is wrong with the Borrow, when we heard what happened to you we all came running, literally.” She joked.

“Ok, how did you find out?” He asked.

“Hermione and Ron, after Ron had gotten McGonagall and you were in the Hospital Wing they thought it would be a good idea to tell us. They didn’t tell us what you’ve been doing just that you were attacked.” She added after seeing the look on his face.

“Ok thanks. I’ve missed you, can’t believe how much, I’m fine though so doing worry about me.” He told her.

“It’s my job to worry; now I’m going to get Madam Pomfrey. You stay in bed.” Ginny said in her most bossy voice.

“Where else am I going to go?” He asked/

Ginny gave him a death glare and left to go get Madam Pomfrey. She came back a few minutes later.

“Well Mr. Potter, you managed to land yourself in here and it’s not even the school year, congratulations. Lets see how your doing.” Madam Pomfrey said sternly.

Harry just smiled. He knew that Madam Pomfrey was just showing her affection, even if it was in an add way. Madam Pomfrey gave him some potions to drink and then left to go to her office.

“So, how long do you think it would be until the rest of the Weasleys come in?” Ginny asked.

“Oh I’d give them 10 minutes.” He said and proceeded to give her a kiss, “You don’t know how long I’ve been waiting to do that.” He smiled.

“Mm, me too.” Ginny replied.

And before they knew they were in a full blown snog fest. They were to busy kissing to notice that all the Weasleys had walked in on them, that is until Mrs. Weasley cleared her throat.

They both sprang apart and each supporting very red blushes. They were both panting trying to get there breath under control.

Harry couldn’t believe that the whole Weasley family had found them like that! What they must be thing right now! Oh he was horrified!

“Well Harry, it’s good to see your feeling better.” Fred said.

“Yeah we had decided to wait a bit before coming, giving you some time to breathe before we came in.” Continued George.

“But we can see that our sister took care of that for us/” They both said at the same time.

If it was possible Harry and Ginny were both blushing even more although Ginny looked freighting.

“Stop teasing them! Harry dear, how are you?” Mrs. Weasley asked.

“I’m fine, how are you?” He asked.

“Were all fine dear, it’s you were worried about. It’s a good thing that Hermione and Ron got you here in time.” Mrs. Weasley said.

“Yes, it is. What did they tell you” He asked as he looked at Hermione and Ron.

“We told them that we’ve been attack, that’s it” Hermione answered.

“Oh, ok.” He yawned.

Harry was starting to get sleepy. He knew he had to drink the dreamless sleep potion, but he didn’t think he needed it.

“Why don’t we leave, goodnight dear.” Mrs. Weasley called.

Everyone bid there goodbyes and the only one left was Ginny.

“Goodnight Ginny.” He said sleepily.

“Goodnight Harry.” She replied.

Harry was verbally aware of someone kissing his forehead before falling into the comforting blackness.

When he awoke, he saw that it was either very late at night or very early in the morning, for the sun wasn’t up. He looked at his watch and it read 1:03 in the morning. He sat up, trying to see if his side hurt or not and was grateful that it wasn’t so painful to sit up.

He was bored, being wide awake with nothing to do he decided to get out of bed, carefully. He went to the window, painfully, and looked out side. It was a clear night, the full moon shining brightly and the stars twinkling almost as bright as the moon. Harry felt the need to get on his broom and just ride through the night, letting his worries just drift through the breeze behind him.

He sighed, yesterday had been hectic, and a rollercoaster of emotions. First he finds the book and finds out that his parents had made it for him, then he reads there letters and sees there picture and personal possessions, the letters being his favorite out of the box. Then he comes back and death eaters are there and they get attacked. He knew he should have made Hermione and Ron stay back at the Borrow. He knew it was going to be dangerous, they knew too, yet they came and they almost get hurt. Then he wakes up in the hospital wing and starts snogging his suppose to be ex-girlfriend and all of her family had to see that too, some day.

Harry knew he wasn’t going to get any sleep soon so he took out his letters which he had kept in his jean pockets. The first letter was from his dad.

Dear Harry,

Hey son! If you’re reading this then you must have found our secret stash. Well it’s not so secret anymore is it? I am so proud of you, even though as I write this you are fast asleep in your crib. I don’t know when you’d find this letter but no matter what I am proud. I know about the prophecy, we both do. I don’t want you to think it is the end of the world, you’re going to win I just know it. I also know your going to be a great marauder, and a fabulous Quidditch player, a star! Now son, let me tell you something, you may have this huge load on your shoulders but still act like a kid. Still go have fun; your life doesn’t revolve around this prophecy. GO made trouble, so something that is totally weird, have fun. You’re still a kid, although I have know idea when you’re getting this, but anyway still have fun, because if you do, well you just made me the happiest dad on the earth. Inside this box I have some possessions I wish for you to keep. I have a snitch for you to catch, if you don’t play seeker and you play some other position then give this to your child maybe he’d like it. There is some other stuff you might like in here so go wild! I am so proud Harry, so proud. Remember Harry I am always there with you so is your mom, always.

James Potter

Harry got out his mothers, knowing it is just as good as his dads.

Dear Harry,

I wish I was talking to you instead of writing and you reading. If you found this then you must really be your daddy’s son. I am so proud of you. You’re going to win; I just know it, a mother’s instinct. The prophecy was hard to hear or bear the thought, still is but if anybody will defeat Voldemort then it’s you. I still can’t believe my son is destined to do this. Don’t worry sweetheart you’re going to win. I just hope that were going to be there but if were not well be there with you in spirit. When I found out about the prophecy I was going to hide you away, but I knew I couldn’t. You need to live, Harry. Knew matter what, keep going, keep living, that’s what’s going to be the down fall of Voldemort, if you keep living. Now my possessions, if you haven already guessed, are in the box. My most prized possession is at the bottom. It’s a doll. I know you’re a boy and don’t like dolls but this doll was given to me by my sister. I put charms on it so the doll can talk and move; her names Sally. Sally was a big help to me, maybe she’ll be the same to you. I love you with all my heart.

Lily Potter

Harry had found Sally at the bottom box, but had kept her there. He didn’t want to take her out, at least right now. Aunt Petunia had given Sally to his mom maybe they were friends at one point, but he’ll never know.

Both his parents had told him to keep living, that to not give up. Harry felt very grateful for it. He felt like giving up loads of times and know one really got through to him to keep going, but hearing it from his parents was another matter. He felt like he could take on the world and in a way he was. Harry stayed there for a few minutes. Not wanting to move. Both boxes were with Hermione and Ron in his backpack. He wondered if they destroyed the locket yet, but how could they; they’ve been worrying about him. It was then that he decided that they were going to leave tomorrow and destroy that locket. Then they were going to find the others. He wanted to finish this now so he could have a life, possibly with Ginny. So going to his bed, painfully, he laid down and quickly fell into a dreamless sleep.

Harry woke up to finding Hermione, Ron, and Ginny sitting with him.

“Oh Harry, you’re a wake good.” Ginny happily said.

“Did you sleep well?” Hermione asked.

“Yeah, I did. Hermione, Ron, you better make sure we have everything because were leaving as soon as we can.” Harry said without leaving room for argument.

Harry was about to get out of bed but Ginny put her had on his shoulder and forced him to lye down.

“No you’re not Harry James Potter! You are staying right here until you get better!” Ginny sternly said.

“No I’m not, I’m leaving whether you like it or not. We have to continue the mission. Were leaving and that’s final!” Harry almost yelled.

Harry got out of bed and asked, “Ron where’s my backpack? I need to a pair of clothes.”

“I’ll get it.” Ron replied.

As Harry waited for Ron to return he again felt like someone was watching him. A chill ran down his spin, it was like someone had run a cold finger down his back. He needed to keep alert. Harry was not going to allow another attack like that.

Ron came back with his backpack and Harry got out his clothes. He pulled the curtains over him and started to dress.

“Harry maybe we should wait awhile. We do need the break.” Hermione suggested.

“No.” Harry replied.

“But mate…” Ron started.

“No” He said again.

The both stopped knowing it was know use. Harry finished dressing and walked to Ginny and gave her the most passionate kiss she ever had. Once they broke apart Harry leaned over and said, “I love you. Don’t worry, were going to be fine. I’ll keep in contact.”

Ginny’s eyes filled with tears and she nodded her head.

“I love you too.”

Harry kissed her again and then looked at Hermione and Ron.

“Time to go.” He said.

“Harry, what about my mom and dad?” Ginny asked.

“Tell them were gone and that we promise to write as soon as we can,” Harry answered.

Harry, Ron and Hermione walked out of Hogwarts without looking back, hopping it wasn’t going to be the last time.

As they neared the gate were they will apparate, Harry started to slow down.

“Harry, are you alright?” Hermione asked.

“Yeah, I’m fine.” Harry replied.

They opened the gate and Hermione asked, “Where are we going?”

“Hold on to me and you’ll see.” Harry answered.

They both grabbed one arm and felt themselves being apparated. They landed in a field. A house was on there left and to the right was a lake.

“Harry, were are we?” Ron asked.

“It’s a place I found on my way back to the cave. I accidentally went the wrong way.” Harry said shyly.

“Is the house empty?” Hermione asked.

“Yeah, come on. I need to sit down.” Harry replied.

All three walked into the house. As they looked around they could tell they were in the living room. A coffee table was in the middle, two couches were up against the left and back walls. As they walked they saw a kitchen with a stove. To the right was a door. They opened it and saw a cabinet full of food. They went back into the living room and saw a door, they opened it and say that there where three bedrooms, each bedroom was complete with a bathroom.

“Wow, who ever lives here must becoming back soon because everything looks like someone just left, kind of creepy.” Ron said.

“Well, I don’t thing so. There’s dust everywhere, it looks as if they left a while ago.” Hermione said while looking around.

“We should get this place a little pick-me-up, if were going to stay here for awhile, maybe a week before we find another place.” Harry stated.

Harry moved to a bedroom and closed the door. He needed rest, expediently after all that walking. After doing a cleaning charm on the room he got into bed and fell straight to sleep.

A/N: Hope you like!

Ch. 6

Harry woke up to a feeling of someone watching him. He sat up and looked around. No one was there. It was still dark outside so he silently went to the kitchen. He was looking around trying to see if there was anybody there. The moonlight cast an eerily glow on everything almost like a dream but real at the same time. He moved to get some water when he heard a noise outside. Harry stood still listening with all his might, his hear hammering in his chest as if begging to be let out.

There it was again, it was coming from the back door. Getting his wand out he walked slowly to the door. He opened it up slowly, not wanting to attract any attention. He peered out and saw something moving inside the bushes. Moving ever so slowly he looked inside the bush, inside he saw…

“Ahhh!” Harry cried.

He fell to the ground; Spunky was licking him all over his face. Hermione and Ron came running outside, wands at the ready.

“Harry! Is that Spunky?” Hermione asked.

“Yeah it is.” Harry answered, trying to get Spunky under control.

Ron was laughing so hard, he was on the ground holding his stomach.

“That was bloody hilarious!” Ron laughed.

Harry just glared at him, but soon joined in on the laughing. Harry checked Spunky over, not wanting him to be hurt. Seeing that he was ok, he picked him up and the four trooped inside.

“How did he find us? I thought Ginny was supposed to watch over him. Are you sure it’s really Spunky Harry?” Hermione asked.

“Yeah I’m sure.” Harry replied.

Harry looked at Spunky again and saw he had a collar. Harry never gave Spunky a collar, looking at it he saw that it was just like the muggle dog tags. With a name and address on it. Then he noticed a note on the collar. He opened it up and read:

Dear Harry,
I hope you like this dog tag. I her muggles use them for there pets and thought you could use one. You’re probably wondering how Spunky got there well lets just say that I have my ways. You better keep a good eye on him!
Love,
Ginny

“Hey Ginny set Spunky to me.” Harry said, “She got him a dog tag too.”

“Wow that was nice. At least we know now why he’s here.” Hermione said.

“Yeah, that’s all fine but now I’m going back to bed, right after I have a small midnight snack.” Ron said and proceeds to make a huge sandwich.

“I’m going to bed too, come on Spunky.” Harry called.

“Goodnight!” Hermione called back.

Harry got into bed and Spunky lying on top of him. Harry scratched Spunky’s head and soon fell back to sleep.

The next week flew by for Harry. After Hermione had destroyed the locket, which she had to rest afterwards, they had to find the other Horcruxes. Hermione had been trying to see what was in the book, but Harry so far, had managed to keep her away. Spunky was as playful as ever and Harry got him to play fetch and roll over. Harry was really enjoying having Spunky here.

Harry had also been reading the book. The spell he had to use would have to be wandless as he couldn’t use his wand. It was also very complicated. The spell, oddly, was in Spanish so he didn’t know how to pronounce it correctly.

They were packing up to go to a place were they suspected the cup to be. It was in a cave, and just the thought of that made him think of Dumbledore. ‘Why oh why do we have to look in the cave!’ Harry thought.

“Come on Spunky! Hermione and Ron are waiting for use. Although I don’t think they’d mind the wait.” Harry laughed.

He walked out and found Ron and Hermione by the lake.

“Ready to go?” Harry asked.

“Yep.” Hermione said seriously.

“Ok remember guys, if this is the cave then we have to be extra careful. Merlin only knows what kind of traps he put in there.” Harry warned.

“We know Harry. We’ll be careful.” Hermione said.

Harry grabbed Spunky and held him close, they all apparated with a ‘pop’.

They found themselves on the outside of a cave. Everybody gasped, even Spunky seemed shocked. They were looking at a cave that seemed to dare them to enter. One could almost see the sinful deeds that have surrounded the cave. A chill ran down everyone’s back.

“Well, this looks invite full.” Ron joked.

“Come on, we need to find the Horcrux. Keep your wands at the ready. Listen to any sound, ok?” Harry told them.

They both nodded there heads, Harry held Spunky, not wanting him to get hurt. Spunky on his part seemed alert and ready to strike at a moments notice.

They kept walking, lighting there wands as the dark surrounded them. But it didn’t really help; it was like the cave was meant for darkness and only that.

They had walked a good deal when Hermione gave a shriek.

“Hermione what’s wrong?” Ron asked.

“I-I stepped in something slimy and stick.” Hermione answered.

They pointed there wands downward and saw blood, sticky blood.

“Gross.” Hermione said disgusted.

“Well this is Voldemort were talking about.” Harry said.

Ron was about to say something when Spunky started to bark wildly.

“Spunky, what is…?” Harry started to say.

But his question was answered when the blood started to rise and form a shape, the shape of a huge man. It started walking towards them, moaning as if in pain. It swapped at them, they moved out of the way. They turned around and saw what had happened to the bolder that was to the right of them. The top was completely off.

Hermione got a rock and threw it at the ‘thing’.

“What are you doing? A rock won’t kill it!” Ron furiously whispered.

“Look!” Hermione said.

They looked, the rock had disintegrated right before there eyes.

“Well now we know not to touch it. Wait! How did your shoe survive, you were stepping on it.” Ron asked.

“I think the shoe material is slower to disintegrate” Hermione said.

“That’s good, because I have a felling we’ll disintegrate faster then the rock.” Harry said and swallowed.

“Don’t go saying that Harry! I don’t want to know” Ron said in his squeaky voice.

They were all quiet for a moment, trying to find a way to destroy this thing. They hid behind another bolder, hoping that they ‘thing’ wouldn’t swing at it.

“Now what are we gong to do! Harry what did you and Dumbledore do at the other cave?” Hermione asked.

“It was nothing like this. Nothing! We just had to give blood and Dumbledore had to drink this potion thing, although it made him weak..” Harry’s voice trailed off.

“Well there has to be a way to defeat it!” Hermione cried.

Harry was having a difficult time concentrating because Spunky kept moving and barking. Harry didn’t think he could hold him any longer if he kept wiggling like this.

“Spunky calm down, everything will be alright.” Harry said soothingly.

But he kept moving until finally Harry had to let him go. Spunky raced off gong directly toward the ‘thing’.

“Spunky! Get back here!” Harry cried.

Harry chased after Spunky not wanted him to touch the blood and get hurt. But before Harry could reach him Spunky dived in, almost as if the blood was a pool, but he wasn’t hurt!

“How is he not hurt?” Hermione asked.

“I don’t know, maybe we should try?” Ron asked.

“No don’t we’ll get hurt if we do. I think animals are the only ones who can cross.” Harry stated.

Spunky had made it to the other side with out any trouble with the ‘thing’. Spunky walked over somewhere and disappeared.

“Now what are we going to do? We can’t see Spunky anymore.” Ron nearly yelled.

“Wait! I brought my Firebolt with me. Ron did?” Harry asked.

“Yeah!” Ron replied.

They both got out there brooms and got on.

“Hermione ride on my broom.” Ron said.

Hermione looked frighten at the thought of flying on a broom, but nodded anyway. They both took off and started to head to the other side.

They ‘thing’ noticed them and started to try to get them off there brooms. It was getting difficult to get out of the way in time.

“Come on were almost there!” Harry shouted.

They were indeed, just a few more seconds and they’d be safe. Harry looked over hi shoulder, Ron and Hermione were right behind him. Ron seemed to have a hard time getting out of the way. Harry raced back toward them and tried to help Ron get to the ground.

“Ron, grab hold of my broom!” Harry shouted.

“Ok.” Ron replied.

Harry raced back, going really fast, finally after a few close calls they were on solid ground. Panting and out of breath the trio laid down, trying to get some air in there lungs.

“Where’s Spunky?” Harry asked.

“I don’t know, but let’s find him.” Hermione said.

They got up and started searching. Harry was trying to listen to see if he was barking. Nothing, just as Harry was about to give up and start to shout at the top of his lungs for Spunky, Harry found a door and it was open.

“Hey guys, come over here! I found a door!” Harry excitedly said.

They walked inside to find a room that looked to have once been a pleasant place to sit and talk. There was a table at the far right corner next to a fireplace. In the middle was a chair that looked comfy to sit in, facing the fireplace. And that was it; nothing else covered the room, although in some places you can tell that something once was there.

They hear barking coming from, inside the wall? Harry pressed his ear against the wall, he could hear barking!

“Spunky, you in there?” Harry asked.

He pressed his ear against the wall again and sure enough the barking increased as he said Spunky.

“How in the world did he get in there?” Ron asked.

“I don’t know but were getting him out.” Harry said.

“How, the only spell I know will blow up the wall?” Hermione cried.

“Try doing the spell with less power in it, try only cutting the bricks out.” Harry told her.

She nodded her head and pulled out her wand. Concentrating really hard, she muttered something and a red light hit the bricks, she cut the brick out, after a few minutes. The brick fell to the ground. The bark was now loud and clear, they could see Spunky’s wet nose.

“Hang on Spunky where coming!” Harry said encouragingly

Hermione cut the nest bricks until Spunky could come out. Spunky jumped out and landed on the floor. Harry picked him up.

“How in the world did you get in there?” Harry asked, half expecting the dog to answer. Spunky just barked.

“Come on Harry, we need to find the Horcrux.” Hermione said.

“Ok.” He replied and set Spunky down.

They looked around the room again, trying to find away out or a door. After a few minutes of searching Ron cried out, “Well never find the bloody door! Harry you said you had to give blood maybe that’s what we have to do.”

“Ok but where? Dumbledore was the one who had found out about it. Besides how do we even know that that’s what we have to do?” Harry asked, frustrated.

“What else are we suppose to do, look until were dust?” Ron yelled back.

“Stop it you two! This is frustrating I know but we can’t afforded to take it out on each other.” Hermione said reasonably.

“Sorry mate.” Ron apologized.

“Yeah, me too.” Harry said back.

They continued to search until Harry found a doorknob. It was the same color as the wall and it was made out of bricks so it was easily camouflage. Harry reached for the knob and opened it, there was another room!

“Hey guys, I found the door!” Harry said excitedly.

All four of them walked in. What they found surprised them even more then the ‘thing’ back in the cave.

Harry stopped dead; right in front of him was hundreds of dementors. He immediately took out his wand. But just as he was about to cast Patronus Charm he realized that he wasn’t cold, that he wasn’t hearing any of his worst memories. He looked over at Ron and Hermione, they both were death pale.

“Harry, what do you see?” Hermione asked.

“I see dementors, why?” Harry asked.

“Because I see you and Ron dead.” Hermione replied.

“Yeah, I see loads of spiders.” Ron said.

Spunky, who was right next to Harry was shaking terribly. Harry picked up Spunky and tried to calm him down.

“Maybe this makes us see our worst fear.” Hermione suggested.

“I think it does, but how do we get past them, I mean there still there.” Harry said worriedly.

“I think we have to tell ourselves it’s not real, but it seems too easy.” Ron said thoughtfully.

“Yeah, Voldemort wouldn’t just make it this easy.” Hermione concluded.

“Let’s try it and see how far we can go.” Harry said while still calming Spunky.

Spunky for his part was shaking uncontrollably.

“Shh, it’s ok Spunky it’s not real.” Harry said soothingly.

“If it’s not real, then why isn’t going away?” Ron asked.

“I don’t know, lets just walked and see how far we can go.” Harry said again.

They walked for a few seconds when they hear a voice so sinister sounding that even the happiest man on Earth would stop in fear.

“Do you dare enter my cave?! There is nothing here for you except death, leave now or face death!” The voice roared.

The trio looked at each other all three faces pale as death itself. Spunky shaking so bad it was a wonder that Harry was still hold him.

Just when Harry was going to comment that they should move on when the voice spoke again.

“I said leave! Or do you wish to die today?” He asked.

“Cone on, we need to find that Horcrux.” Harry said encouragingly.

They walked on and soon were hit with a terrifying wind. It howled of cries of sorrow, anguish, and pain. Just when the howling was getting really bad they saw the dead floating, the ones who had been tortured by Voldemort, children, dogs, adult, all facing them, pointing at them whispering in anguish and pain to go back.

But they kept walking, as they got closer to the dead they could feel there hands snake there way to them. Feel the touch so cold it was like fire touching them.

The voices grew in volume. As the volume grew so did the pain and anguish and sorrow. The dead also seemed also seemed to grow but it was hard to tell.

They seemed to walk on for hours, the only light is the dead, who shinned some how, but unearthly. Finally after what seemed like hours they found yet another door.

“Oh come on! When can we get to the Horcrux?” Ron yelled.

“Patience.” Hermione answered.

The dead had left them, giving them complete darkness. For some reason Harry felt weak, very weak.

“Do any of you feel weak?” Harry asked.

“Yeah, now that you mentioned it, I do.” Hermione answered.

“Same here.” Ron replied.

Harry noticed that Spunky seemed a little down too and was feeling guilty about him coming along.

Harry tried the door knob and found, amazingly, it was opened. They walked in slowly, looking around to see if there was anything strange or unearthly.

There in the middle of the room was the cup. Even if Harry had just gone up and took it, it was like someone was taking all of his strength. He could barely move now without being totally exhausted.

“Harry, why do we feel so weak?” Ron asked.

He and Hermione were leaning against the wall for support. Harry was leaning against the wall as well.

“I think it was the ghosts or something. I don’t know.” Harry whispered.

“Well we can’t just stay here like this until we die.” Hermione said exhaustedly.

“What are we suppose to do, Hermione/” Ron asked her.

“Let’s try getting to the cup. I mean we got this far, might as well get to the cup. You don’t want to give up do you?” Hermione said as she pushed herself off the wall.

Ron and Harry soon followed, getting to the cup proved to be the hardest thing they did. By the time they got there, all three were panting and totally exhausted. Spunky was where Harry had left him, by the wall.

The cup was right in there reached, all they had to do was reach and grab it.

“Ok, let’s make sure there are no charms or spells anywhere.” Hermione whispered.

They both nodded there heads, after making sure nothing will happed if they grab is, Harry reached and took the cup.

As soon as he did, it was like he got his strength back.

“Hey guys, hold on to the cup!” Harry shouted.

Hermione and Ron gave him odd looks but grabbed the cup anyways. They too got there strength back.

“Blood hell! I feel much better!” Ron said excitedly.

“Me too! Come on lets get out of here.” Hermione said.

They headed back to the door; Harry picked up Spunky and put his paw on the cup. Spunky was soon happily barking.

The four headed back out into the darkness. The ghosts that had been with them on the way there, where not coming on the way back.

They walked on for hours, or so it seemed, finally they found the door and they were in light.

“Come on, where almost out.” Harry said encouragingly.

They walked back out where the ‘thing’ was. It was still there, looking as menacing as ever. Still moaning, still waiting.

“Ok, come on, Hermione get on Ron’s broom.” Harry ordered.

Harry grabbed Spunky and held him close. They took off, it was much harder for Harry to get out of the way in time because he was holding Spunky, but some how he managed.

Finally they were out and in the sunshine. All four of them quickly headed back to the house. They weren’t going to go back there, but they needed a place to rest fast.

They apparated and got inside, they soon flopped down on the couch, totally exhausted, but happy that they got a Horcrux. With that in mind all four soon fell asleep.

A/N: Hey sorry for the long update. Hope you like this one.

Ch.7

Harry woke up feeling uncomfortable. He looked around and saw the reason why, his head was on the shoulder of the couch, but his body was in sitting position with Spunky on top of him. Then he noticed that he was still holding the cup.

Relief flooded through him, they had done it! And no one was hurt. He looked at Ron and Hermione, both sleeping peacefully.

Harry carefully got up and put the still sleeping Spunky on the couch. He stretched, and went into the kitchen. After getting some food he sat down and started eating, the cup on the table. It was a little while later when Ron came in yawning.

“Hey Harry, what are you eating?” Ron asked.

“A sandwich, want some?” Harry asked.

Ron shrugged and went to make his own sandwich. After getting it they both sat in comfortable silence.

Soon Hermione and Spunky joined them. Hermione made a sandwich while Harry fed Spunky.

“Who’s going to destroy the cup?” Harry asked.

“We should wait until we have enough strength.” Hermione said logically.

“Yes but in the mean time we should make sure that R.A.B. didn’t get this one as well. I can’t believe we still don’t know who R.A.B is!” Harry said.

“Ok.” Ron said and grabbed the cup to look it over.

Ron examined the cup for a few minutes while Harry and Hermione discussed how could be R.A.B.

“Maybe Regulas Black, Sirius’s brother.” Hermione suggested.

“Yeah maybe, I mean Sirius did say he got into trouble with Voldemort.” Harry agreed.

“Sirius said he died.” Ron said looking up from the cup.

“Did you find anything?” Hermione asked.

“No, nothing.” Ron replied

“R.A.B. has to be Regulas. He was a death eater. Who else could it be? We should wait until tomorrow to destroy the cup. For now, I am going to write to Ginny.” Harry explained.

Harry went to his room and took out parchment and ink, and started to write.

Dear Ginny,

Hi, how are you? I’m doing fine, although I am tired, but that’s expected. How are you doing, not getting into trouble by the means of pranks are you? If you are then I congratulate you for keeping up the hare work! I miss you, wish you were here. Spunky’s doing fine as well, thanks for getting him over here. Can’t tell you much as to what were doing but lets say that its going good. I have got to go. Write sometime.
Love,
Harry

Harry sat back and looked over his letter. Satisfied that it was good he sent Hedwig with his letter. After Hedwig had gone, Harry went back to the kitchen. It was almost dark, the sunset making everything a nice warm orangish glow.

“What do you guys want to do?” Harry asked.

“I don’t know what to play some chess?” Ron asked.

“Sure.” Harry shrugged.

They had been playing for awhile when Spunky started to bark and Harry heard shouting. All of them raced outside, wands at the ready. In the front they saw death eaters, 9 of them attacking a family, a mom and dad and a little girl who looked to be around 5 or 4 years old.

The three noticed that the family had wand except for the girl. They raced to help them. Curses were being shouted, Ron and Hermione managed to stun 3 of them, Harry got 2 more, not there was 4 left.

“Well, well, well, if it isn’t Harry Potter.” One death eater said.

“Well, well, well, if it inst stupid, pathetic death eaters.” Harry replied.

“Stupefy!” The other death eater cried.

It missed.

They fought for awhile with only 3 left, the fourth stunned. Harry was blocking spells and protecting the little girl. Just as Harry was about to suggest they stun the death eaters and get over with it, 2 death eater shot the killing curse at the mom and dad. They fell down, dead before they hit the ground.

The little girl whimpered and Harry picked her up, shot stunning spells at the remaining death eaters. Ron and Hermione stun them to.

“We need to contact, Remus or some auror, like Tonks. How are we going to contact them?” Harry asked.

“We can floo.” Hermione answered.

Harry nodded and put roped on the death eaters and out them by the house.

“What about her parents?” Ron asked and nodded to the dead parents and the little girl in Harry’s arms.

“When the auror’s come, well let them deal with it, right now we have to see how she’s doing” Hermione said.

Harry was walking back toward them, saying comforting words to the little girl.

“Hermione contact the aurors and Mrs. Weasley, I don’t want to floo, her anywhere until we know what her injuries are.” Harry said, indicating to the little girl.

They nodded there heads and Hermione went to the fireplace. Harry put the girls on the couch and started to see what here injuries were, but that was proving to be a real difficulty as she wouldn’t take her arms off him.

“Ron can you help me, she wont let go.” Harry asked.

“Sure, what do you want me to do?” He asked.

“Try seeing if there are any serious injuries on her.” Harry suggested.

Ron did and found nothing serious, by this time Hermione had come back with aurors and Mrs. Weasley in tow, the little girl fast asleep.

“Harry dear, Ron, are you alright? Harry, give her to me.” Mrs. Weasley said motherly.

“Were fine, here you go.” He said as he handed over the sleeping child. “Ron couldn’t find anything to serious, both her parents are dead, we don’t know if she had any relatives or not.” Harry said tonelessly.

“The aurors will find away to see if they have any relatives. Harry dear, why don’t we go back to the Borrow, it will be better for her.” Mrs. Weasley said.

Harry nodded and took the child out of her arms, he held her close and they were soon at the Borrow. He went to Ginny’s room and put the sleeping child on the bed. He tucked her in and got a chair and sat in it, not wanting to leave her alone.

It was at this moment that he remembered about Spunky, he hoped that the puppy was alright. Just as the thought crossed his mind did he heard barking and other voices, Harry opened the door and peaked outside.

“Harry, are you up there?” Ron asked.

“Yeah, in Ginny’s room, be quiet.” Harry ordered.

He had heard the girl whimper and went to comfort her.

“Hey mate, we found out her name, Faith Elissa Cervantes. We think they may be American wizards. Some people are contacting Faith’s aunt.” Ron whispered.

“Ok, that’s good.” Harry nodded.

“Ron, you should get some sleep, I’ll look after Faith.” Harry whispered.

“Ok, if you’re sure, but you should…” Ron began.

“Get some sleep I know. Where’s Spunky I heard, him a while ago” Harry asked.

“He’s downstairs. Hermione’s looking after him. He has a few cuts, here and there, but he’s fine.” Ron said.

Harry nodded his head and looked at Faith. The girl had dark brown hair and tan skin. Her hair came down to the middle of her back in soft small curls. Harry heard the door close and knew Ron had left.

It was a few hours later when faith had finally woke up. She looked around and was surrounded by darkness, she immediately felt scared and started to whimper. Harry woke up with a start. Seeing that the child was awake and scared he went to comfort her.

“Shh, there, there, it’s alright. Don’t worry, there’s nothing to be afraid of, Faith, nothing.” Harry said in a comforting voice.

But Faith tried to get out of the hug and was pulling away.

“Hey Faith, I’m not going to hurt you, I promise.” Harry said reassuringly.

She finally calmed down, but clung to Harry like a magnet.

“Where are my mommy and daddy?” Faith asked, “How do you know my name?”

“I found out from the aurors, you have an aunt right?” Harry asked, avoiding the first question.

She nodded slightly.

“Where are my mommy and daddy?” She asked again.

Her brown eyes were wide with fear as she looked at him, waiting for the answer.

“Well, Faith, there… Faith what do you remember about last night?” Harry asked.

Faith looked thoughtful for a moment until her eyes went wide again and tears ran down her small face like pouring rain.

“No, mommy, daddy.” She cried and started to look about the room wildly, “They can’t be dead.”

Harry took her in his arms trying to comfort her but she tried to get out, screaming for her mommy and daddy to come, that she was scared. Harry tried to calm her down but instead she started to hit him over and over, screaming and crying.

The Weasleys and Hermione came rushing into the room, Mrs. Weasley tried to get Faith but Harry shook his head.

“Faith, calm down please. It’s going to be ok, don’t worry. You still have your aunt.” Harry said while rubbing her back.

She finally calmed down, but was still crying softly into Harry’s shirt hiccupping slightly.

“Mrs. Weasley, did you get in contact with her aunt?” Harry asked.

“Yes, were getting her here as fast as we can. Luckily she’s a witch too.” Mrs. Weasley said softly.

Harry nodded and continued to calm Faith down until she finally fell asleep. Harry sighed and put Faith in bed. He looked at the Weasleys and Hermione and said, “We should wait sown stairs for her aunt. Do you know the aunts name? Harry asked as he was going down stairs.

“I think some one should stay with her, I will gladly do it.” Mr. Weasley said his face expressionless.

“Thank you.” Harry said gratefully

The rest trooped down stairs, Harry’s thoughts in over drive, Faith’s screaming ringing in his ears. When she had been crying for her parents it tore his heart apart. How can anyone be so cruel as to rip a small child from her parents?! It broke his heart and tears had almost escaped his eyes. She was a baby and now she’s parentless, he sighed, I hope her aunt is nice. Harry looked up and asked. “What’s Faiths aunt name?”

“Elizabeth, she’ll be here any time now. With security being so tight it’s hard for people to move from one country to another. Oh, that must be her.” Mrs. Weasley said as they heard a knock.

Mrs. Weasley opened the door and there stood a woman of about 30 or 29 years with dark brown hair and eyes. She was a fair woman, not really pretty but not ugly. Her eyes were red, puffy and swollen.

“Hello, I’m Elizabeth Cervantes. I’m here for my niece.” She said in a soft voice.

There were a few aurors behind her, and one said, “It’s alright, this is the real Elizabeth.”

“Hello, dear, come in, come in. I am so sorry about your loss. Would you like a cup of coffee or tea?”

“No thank you.” She said softly.

Elizabeth looked around the room and spotted the others.

“Oh I’m sorry; I forgot to introduce my self. I am Elizabeth.” She said.

Greetings were past around and Mrs. Weasley cam back out with coffee and a few other drinks.

“Where’s Faith? I want to see her.” She asked.

“Up stairs, I’ll show you.” Harry volunteered.

They walked up the stairs and entered the room. Mr. Weasley was sitting on a chair when they entered; he nodded his head in greeting and pointed to Faith sleeping on the bed.

Elizabeth went to Faith and ran her fingers through her hair; Harry nudged Mr. Weasley and pointed his head to the door. They both exited the room, hears the soft crying coming from the aunt.

Once inside the living room with the others they sat down in a glum silence. That was until Harry asked, “How’s Ginny?”

“She’s fine dear, just fine, although she does seem to miss you terribly.” Mrs. Weasley said quietly.

“Yeah, so do I.” Harry whispered.

They were quiet for a few minutes, when Elizabeth came in holding Faith.

“Thank you so much for taking such good care of her. But I’m ready to go back. Faith is all I have left and I want to thank you again.” She said as tears silently slid down her face.

“Of course dear, these aurors will help you get back safely. I hope Faith will be ok after all that has happened.” Mrs. Weasley said kindly.

They all said there good byes and she left, holding the sleeping child as if her life depended on it.

They closed the door and all of them sat in the living room. Complete silence met there ears. No one knew what to say, so they sat until Mrs. Weasley told them it was time for bed.

Harry grabbed Spunky and went to Ron’s room. He got in bed, petting Spunky until he fell asleep.

“Harry, Harry wake up, come on!” Someone called.

Harry reluctantly got up and put on his glasses.

“What?! I finally get some sleep and you wake me form it! What is it?” Harry asked sleepily.

“It’s Faith, her and her aunt were attacked. Her aunts dead, Harry, she’s here, she’s hurt and she wants you.” Hermione said very fast.

Chapter 8

Harry quickly got up and dressed then raced down stairs. The scene that met his eyes broke his heart. Faith was on the couch crying, her hair in tangles, bruises and cuts everywhere. Madam Pomfrey was trying to put potion down her throat but the child kept pushing her away. Harry moved toward her. He put a hand on Faiths head and tightly held her small hands in the other so she wouldn’t try to push the potion away. He whispered in her ear that everything was going to be alright. He just prayed he was right.

After the potion was gone Faith looked up at Harry and said in a small voice, “I’m scared,”

Harry just held her close while she cried. He looked up at the others and saw all of them had tears in their eyes.

“Don’t worry Faith. You don’t have to be scared with us here,” Harry whispered.

Faith just clung harder on Harry until she fell into a restless slumber.

“What were her injuries?” Harry asked.

“Cuts and bruises, a broken leg, but we set it right in minutes. That is about it, nothing seriously,” Madam Pomfrey.

Harry nodded his head. He was rocking the girl back and forth, trying to sooth her when she whimpered.

“Do you have any dreamless sleep potion?” Harry asked Madam Pomfrey.

She nodded and took out the potion. Harry took it and poured some down the girl’s throat. She was asleep instantly.

“What are we going to do? We can’t just put her in the orphanage, especially after what she’s been through,” Harry whispered.

Harry knew that they had to hurry and get the other Horcruxes so he could destroy Voldemort, but he didn’t want Faith to feel alone and unloved like he had.

“Why don’t we take care of her for awhile? Then we can find a suitable home for her, if she wants to be with another family?” Mrs. Weasley asked.

“I couldn’t let you do that, besides what is Ginny and everybody else going to say when they find out?” Harry asked.

“Well just tell them the truth. Don’t worry dear, well work it out,” Mrs. Weasley said and took the girl out of his arms and left.

Harry nodded and signed.

“Ron, do you have the cup?” Harry asked, “We need to destroy it and get going. Only two more left and one of those is always with Voldemort so we have to get going.”

“Harry, why don’t we wait until after Christmas? We need the break. Besides I know you want to see Ginny again,” Hermione said logically.

“Maybe, but that’s a month away, why wait that long? Why don’t we at least find one of the two Horcrux and then come back a day or tow before Christmas?” Harry asked.

“Ok, but we can’t just leave, faith is going to be really upset if you just leave her like this,” Hermione reasoned.

“Fine, we’ll wait to tell her tomorrow. Ron you do have the cup right?” Harry asked him.

“Yeah it’s upstairs. Don’t worry,” Ron said.

The three went upstairs, Spunky in Harry’s arms. They soon went to sleep, well except for one person; Harry.

No matter how hard Harry tried, he just couldn’t go to sleep. His mind had a whirlwind of thoughts that kept colliding with each other. He knew he had to find the other Horcruxes and fast. He wanted to have a life and once he destroyed Voldemort he could have that life, especially with Ginny.

Giving up on sleeping, Harry went downstairs. He muttered a spell at the fire place and it came to life. Harry glared at the fire, his eyes troubled. ‘How am I going to tell faith I have to leave tomorrow? She just got back from yet another nightmare,’ he thought, ‘But I have to find those Horcruxes. I want a life after all this. But I can’t leave her.’ Man was this confusing. He wanted to find those Horcruxes, but Faith kept coming into his mind. He didn’t know what to do. It was giving him a headache.

It was times like these that he wished that his parents were here. That way he could ask them for advice.

Sighing again, his thoughts when to the little girl. Where was she going to stay now? Sure the Weasleys said they would take care of faith, but Faith just lost so much in one night. How was shoe going to cope with being thrown into a whole different family so suddenly? Will she like them or will she resent them because there not blood related?

“Harry?” A small voice said timidly.

Harry looked up to see Faith there looking very scared indeed.

“Hello faith, are you okay?” Harry asked.

“I had a bad dream,” She whispered.

Harry picked her up and sat on the couch holding her close. Faith cried, clinging to him.

“Why is everyone out to get me? What did I do? What did I say for people to come and kill my mommy and daddy and my auntie?” She asked through his shirt.

“Nothing, absolutely nothing, you never did anything wrong,” He whispered.

“Then why did they attack me? Why did they take away my family?” She cried.

“There bad people that’s why, they hurt everyone for there enjoyment. They took my family too,”

“They did?”

“Yes, when I was one. At least you have memories of them, that way you won’t really forget them. Besides your parents are still with you, in here.” He said and put his had where her heart was.

She looked up at him, anguish and hopelessness written all over her tiny face.

“But there still not here,” She cried softy

“I know, I know,” He whispered as he held her close.

She continues to cry until she fell asleep, her tears becoming one with his shirt.

Harry knew he couldn’t leave Faith like this, not when she lost everything so suddenly. Now, he really didn’t know what to do. He had to find the Horcruxes, but that meant leaving Faith right after this terrible night. Maybe fi he talked to faith in the morning she won’t be as sad to see him go?

He’d have to wait until tomorrow, for now he was tired and needed rest. He soon fell asleep with Faith still in his arms.

Harry woke up to the smell of breakfast. He opened his eyes to see his glasses were off, looking down he saw that Faith was still in his arms.

“Here you go Harry,” Hermione said as she handed him his glasses.

Harry jumped, but took the glasses.

“Thanks,” Harry whispered.

He put his glasses on and looked at faith again. He slowly go up, but didn’t put Faith down, instead he carried her to the kitchen with Hermione in tow.

When he entered the kitchen he found Ron, Mrs. and Mr. Weasley already eating.

Harry sat down and stared to put food on his plate, still holding Faith.

“Harry dear, why don’t you put Faith down, or at least give her to me?” Mrs. Weasley asked.

“No that you, I’m fine,” Harry replied.

After a few minutes Mr. Weasley left for his job, kissing his wife and son goodbye.

Looking out side he saw snow starting to fall. It made the backyard look like an ice wonderland.

Harry felt something stir in his arms and saw that Faith was waking up.

“Good morning Faith, how are you?” Harry asked.

She just shrugged and laid her back on his shoulder.

“Are you hungry?” Harry asked.

The five year old didn’t reply. This concerned the three in the room.

“You have to eat ear,” Mrs. Weasley said motherly.

“I’m not hungry, thank you,” She replied from Harry’s shirt.

“Are you sure? It’s really good, Mrs. Weasley always makes the best food,” Harry complemented.

Mrs. Weasley blushed but didn’t say anything.

“I guess I’ll have a little.” Faith whispered.

Faith turned around so she was sitting facing the table. Harry got her some eggs and beacon and gave it to her. Faith put some in her mouth eating little by little until she at half of it.

“Can I be excused?” Faith asked.

“Sure dear. Are you sure you’re okay? You seem a little peaky to me,” Mrs. Weasley said.

“I’m fine,” She said quickly.

She jumped off Harry’s legs and rushed up the stairs. Harry knew what was going to happen to he quickly followed her.

He headed to the bathrooms to see Faith become sick in the toilet. Harry was at her side instantly. He rubbed her back until she was finished. Getting a cool cloth he washed her face.

“Are you alright? Do you want to talk?” Harry asked quietly.

“I’m fine now. I guess we can talk,” She quietly replied.

Harry took Faith to Ginny’s room and locked the door. They both sat and talked until lunch was ready. After that they played exploding snap and wizards’ chess to pass the time.

That night Harry knew he couldn’t leave Faith. So he decided to wait until after the New Year to begin, which was a month away. Until then him, Ron and Hermione were to research ant try to locate the fifth Horcrux, and destroy the cup. That way he could still be with Faith.

Harry just wished that the next year will be better then the last.

Chapter 9

The month flew by fast, with Ron destroying the cup, but having to add some potions that would disintegrate the cup. Faith was healing at her own pace. There would be days when all she would do was cry and days when she seemed to accept what had happened but still feel depressed.

Some of the smallest thing would make Faith cry, like the way Mrs. Weasley cooked or the way Mr. Weasley would start teasing Ron. Anything would remind her of her parents and aunt.

Harry would try to help by giving Faith an ear to talk to and loads of hugs. Hermione would help by being like an older sister for Faith. The rest of the Weasley soon found out about Faith; the twins really taking a liking to her from the start. Everyone was accepting and helped Faith any way they could. Faith soon began to love all the Weasleys like older brothers and sisters

On Christmas Eve Faith was showing signs of depression. Harry looked down at the mall girl in his lap as she played chess with Ron.

“Faith, are you okay?” Harry asked.

He had started to notice that she didn’t eat that much for breakfast and had been extremely quiet all morning.

“I’m fine,” She said.

“No your not, what’s wrong? You’ve been quiet all morning,” Harry asked as he turned Faith around so that she was facing him

“I’m fine, really!” Faith insisted.

“Harry you really should stop saying ‘I’m fine’ because Faith is starting to say it as much as you,” Ron joked.

Harry just glared at Ron then looked back at Faith.

“Faith I want to help you but I cant if you don’t tell be want is wrong,” Harry said.

“Harry, why don’t I talk with faith?” Ginny asked.

Ginny had come home for the holidays, she had already known about Faith so when Ginny met the little girl they were inseparable.

“Come on Faith, lest go up stairs,” Ginny said as she took Faith by the hand and went up stairs.

“Why did Ginny have to talk to her?” Harry asked.

“Because your terrible at felling mate, you know that, heck everybody knows that,” Ron said laughing.

Harry just rolled his eyes, but nodded his head in acceptance.

Harry and Ron played chess and exploding snap for the rest of the day, by the time it was dinner Harry was getting worried, He hadn’t seen Ginny, Faith, or Hermione for that matter since that morning and was starting to get worried.

“Harry dear, would you get the girls so we can eat?” Mrs. Weasley asked.

“Sure Mrs. Weasley,” Harry replied.

Harry went up stairs and knocked on Ginny’s door.

“Ginny, Faith, Hermione, dinners ready!” Harry called.

“Okay, be down in a minute,” Ginny’s muffled reply came.

Harry went back down and told the waiting family that they would be down in a minute.

“Well, they better hurry, I’m starving!” Bill exclaimed.

Bill, Fleur, Charlie, and the twins had come home for Christmas. All of them had welcome Faith with open arms. The twins had even played some hilarious pranks on Ron, much to Ron’s disgrace.

Ginny, Faith, and Hermione came trouping down, all three looking very happy indeed.

“What were you three doing?” Mrs. Weasley asked.

“Nothing important, just talking,” Hermione said.

They sat down and dinner was served.

The chatter around the dinner table was casual and about jobs and other small things.

“Harry, how old are you?” Faith asked.

“Seventeen, why?” Harry asked.

“Just wondering, when’s your birthday?”

“July 31, yours is January 9, right?” Harry asked.

“Yes! I’ll be 6 soon! I can’t wait!” Faith exclaimed, jumping up and down in her chair.

Everybody laughed, happy and she was truly smiling for the first time. After everyone had eaten they went to the living room were Ron challenged Harry to chess. Like usual Ron had won. When Harry looked over at Faith he found her asleep on the couch. He went to he rand picked her up and with out a word to anyone he went to put her in bed.

When Faith was tucked in he gently moved a piece of stray hair form her small face.

Harry didn’t know what her was feeling towards the little girl, but he felt responsible of her. He didn’t want to leave her when the New year came but he know he had to get those Horcrux then he could have his life.

Hermione had been trying to find out what the next Horcrux would be but it was getting hard to find. Voldemort could have used Gryffindor’s wand or Ravenclaw’s personal book. But it was hard to find out which, then trying to locate them. Harry knew that once they were out on the road again they could get more answers but for know it was frustrating.

Harry went back down stairs and told the other’s he was going to bed. The next morning Harry was awaken by Faith jumping on his bed yelling, “It’s Christmas!” at the top of her lungs.

Ron had fell of his bed in surprise and was yelling with Faith that is was Christmas and telling Harry to get up.

“I’m up, I’m up!” Harry nearly yelled.

He got out of bed and picked up Faith, together they went down the stairs singing carols at the top of their lungs.

Present wrappings were everywhere by the time everyone was done. Thank you and your welcomes were passed.

Harry had gotten a lot of candy from Ron. Hermione had gotten him a book about spells. Mr. and Mrs. Weasley had gotten him the Weasley sweater and sweets to. Fred and George had got him a pack of jokes from their joke shop. Bill, Fleur, and Charlie got him a book on curses and a broom kit.

Faith had gotten the Weasley sweater and candy. She also got jokes form the twins.

“Faith, I have a present for you!” Harry excitedly said.

“What is it?” She asked jumping up and down.

“Here, open it,” He said happily.

Faith tore the wrapping off and opened the box. Inside was a small bracelet with a fairy on it.

“Harry, you going to give all the girls you met jewelry or are we just special?” Ginny asked.

Harry had gotten Ginny a necklace that had a flower with a fire red stone in the middle.

“Your just special,” Harry replied and kissed her neck then lips.

“Hey! Get a room for that wait don’t!” Bill said discussed.

Everyone laughed.

“Where’s Faith?” Mrs. Weasley asked.

“I don’t know,” Harry said while looking around the room, “I’ll go find her,”

Harry went upstairs to Ginny’s room, knowing that’s where Faith goes when she wants sometime alone.

He knocked on the door, “Faith, can I come in?” Harry asked.

“Sure,” Faith answered.

Harry went in and saw Faith on her bed holding the bracelet with a sad look on her face.

“Faith what’s wrong? Do you not like your present?” Harry asked worriedly.

“No, I like it, it’s just that my dad said he was gong to get me a bracelet too,” Faith whispered as a tear rolled down her face.

“I’m sorry, do you still want your bracelet?” Harry asked, wiping away the tear.

“Yeah, I still want it. I just want my parents and aunt back too,” She whispered.

“Me too, me too,” He whispered and gently pulled her into a hug.

They sat there for a while before Faith went back downstairs. Harry stayed up thinking. He had been thing about were Faith was going to go. He didn’t want her to go to an orphanage or anything like that. His thoughts were interrupted by Ginny.

“Harry, what are you doing up here?” Ginny asked.

“Oh, just thinking. You look beautiful you know,” Harry said dreamily.

Ginny laughed and sat on his lap. She then proceeded to kiss his neck, and then move to his check, then his lips.

“You taste good,” Harry said softly.

“You don’t taste that bad yourself. What are you thinking about?” Ginny asked.

“Where Faith is going to go. She just cant go to the orphanage or stay here,” Harry said.

“Well, why don’t you adopt her? You obviously love her,” Ginny asked.

“What! Gin, I’m 17! I cant adopt her! She needs parental figures and I’m not a parental figure. I do love her, but I cant.” Harry said surprised.

“Think about it,” She whispered.

They kissed for awhile before heading back down.

The New Year had come and gone and it was now time for Harry, Ron, and Hermione to go back out to search for the Horcrux.

“Goodbye, Mr. and Mrs. Weasley, thanks for everything,” Harry said appreciated.

“No problem dear,” Mrs. Weasley said.

“Fred, George make more jokes we need them,” Harry said.

“Yes sir!” They said in union as they solute him.

Charlie had to go back to Romania so he couldn’t say goodbye.

“Bill, Fleur, keep in touch okay?” Harry asked.

“We will,” Bill said.

“Yes, be careful,” Fleur said and kissed him on his cheek.

Harry knelt down to Faith and looked at her closely. She looked sad but she was trying to not show it.

“Faith, be good okay?” I’ll be back as soon as I can,” Harry said and hugged her tight.

“I will. I’ll miss you,” Faith whispered.

Harry got up and went to Ginny, he kissed her softly and whispered, “I love you,”

“I love you too. Be safe,” Ginny whispered.

“I will,” He said.

Harry moved away reluctantly and looked at Hermione and Ron and nodded, together they Apparated to a hotel in Northern England. They checked in and Hermione went to the nearest library to get books while Ron and Harry tried the books that they already had.

Chapter 10

January had gone by with small hints that Gryffindor's wand might be a Horcrux. Dumbledore had postulated that Voldemort had likely used one artifact from each of the Four Founders. Gryffindor’s wand was known to be very special and powerful, and they knew Voldemort couldn't pass up an opportunity to get more power. They found out that the wand had been stolen from Gryffindor's ancestral home at a time when Voldemort, then Tom Riddle, was known to be in the vicinity. Hermione thought that maybe he had planned to use Gryffindor’s wand in torturing his enemies as her research turned up the fact that it had the peculiar property of being able to make and control fire. If used Voldemort could burn a whole town with in minutes.

They tried finding out where the Horcrux could be hidden, but it was proving to be a real pain. Harry tried to think of any location that Voldemort might have used before to torture people, but since he didn’t have any information on that or anywhere he could his hands on it, he was starting to get frustrated.

They had been moving from place to place, trying to find more clues. They searched anywhere they could, libraries, Muggle and wizard, even going to the dark parts of the area to see if they had any information. Hermione said she thought they were getting closer. Harry hoped so. He had been trying to think what place Tom could have possibly put the wand. He thought it might be at Little Hangleton, where Tom's dead mother had first laid eyes on his Muggle father, but wasn’t so sure.

Harry had also been thinking about Faith and what Ginny had said about adopting her. He loved Faith. He knew that. He also knew that he might actually love Faith like a daughter. He did want to adopt her, but he didn’t know how she felt or how Ginny would feel. She feels fine about it. Why else would she suggest adopting Faith? his mind said.

Ginny--that was another person in his mind. Harry had been meaning to propose to her for so long. He even had a ring for her; it was a modest-sized ring with three silver stones. The band was gold. He had it ever since he saw it at a store while getting some books before Christmas. He hadn't given it to her; he wasn’t sure he’d make it through the war.

His thoughts were interrupted by Ron. “Harry, are you okay? You seem a hundred miles away just now,” Ron said, concern in his voice.

They were currently in a cave, having not found a hotel nearby. The cave was roomy; they had lit a fire so they could see what they were reading. Hermione was sitting by the fire reading intently, while Ron was looking at a map that they had come across.

“Yeah, I’m fine. Just thinking,” he said distractedly.

“Well, okay, but are you going to help me or not? This map is confusing,” Ron said, looking worriedly at Harry.

“Sure, okay. But I still think we should go to Little Hangleton, just to make sure that Voldemort didn’t put it there,” Harry said, his attention snapping back to the present.

“We will, now come on,” Ron said.

They were looking at a map where they had marked the different places Voldemort might have put the wand.

“I think you're right Harry; the wand may be in Little Hangleton. There’s no other clue leading to something else,” Ron said, frustration in his voice.

“Hey, Hermione, did you find anything that could help us?” Harry asked.

“No, but I think we should as least try to go to Little Hangleton,” Hermione replied.

They both nodded their heads and prepared for the trip. They Apparated to Little Hangleton, and started towards Merope’s house. It looked as though a small wind could knock it down.

The trio looked at each other and nodded. Together they opened the door slowly. Inside the house looked as though a tornado had blown through it. Dust was everywhere

They split up, looking for any sign of the Horcrux. Harry was the one who found it; it was beneath the floor boards. He tried to take it, but a bolt of what felt like electricity went through him. Hermione heard Harry gasp, and she went to him.

“Harry, are you alright?” Hermione said, concerned.

“Yeah, that was weird. It was like a shock of electricity or something like that, like putting my finger into an electrical socket,” he said, still kind of dazed.

“But why would Voldemort use something so… Mugglish?” Ron asked.

“I don’t know,” Hermione said, totally stumped. “Well let’s try to get this curse off,” she continued

The boys nodded and tried to think of ways to get the wand without injuring themselves.

Hermione conjured some gloves that Muggles might use if they had to touch an electric wire, but that didn’t help at all.

“Now what do we do?” Hermione cried.

“I don’t know. Why would he use something so trivial?” Harry asked.

But Harry didn’t get an answer; instead he saw the wand glow brighter and brighter. The trio stepped back, wands at the ready.

The glow was now so bright that they had to close their eyes and look away.

“What’s happening!?” Ron shouted.

“I don’t know, but it’s not going to be good, I can tell you that,” Harry stated.

Just as the bright light had come, it was gone, but it left hundreds of snakes in its misty afterimage. Ron and Hermione visible paled,; Harry just stared in shock.

“Finally we get to eat,” hissed one of the snakes.

“Hey! We're not something you can eat,” Harry said with more boldness then he felt.

The snakes looked shocked.

“You can speak our language too? Only our master could speak to us,” said one snake, completely baffled.

“Yes, I can. Now can we please get the wand? We won’t harm you, I promise,” Harry said.

The snakes hissed disapprovingly.

“No, only our master can take it. The only way you can get it is by going through us. Now leave, or we'll be forced to bite you,” the leader of the snakes said.

“Harry, what are they saying?” Ron asked.

“They won’t let us get the wand; we're going to have to get it a different way,” he said regretfully.

“How do you propose we do that? These snakes look big enough to snap us in half if we even blink!” Ron said, frightened.

But Harry didn’t answer, he was too busy thinking. The snakes only obeyed Voldemort because they thought Voldemort would give them anything they wanted.

“Why are you working for Voldemort anyway? How do you know he’ll reward you?” Harry asked.

“We know because he never lied to us before. Now stop twisting our thoughts and get out of here!” the leader said.

Harry was starting to get annoyed. How could they get to the Horcrux without getting poisonous venom painfully injected into their bodies? Well, that's a positive image, he thought sarcastically.

“Okay, there’s only one way to get to the Horcrux, and that’s to use our wands,” Harry told Ron and Hermione.

They nodded their heads and aimed their wands at the snakes. Together they started to shout curses and hexes at the snakes. Some of them lunged out and tried to bite them, but they weren’t quick enough.

When all the snakes were dead, Harry had a foreboding. It had been too easy to kill all of the snakes. Harry knew something was up-- he just knew it. And he was right because suddenly they felt the house shake under a rain of heavy blows from outside, and the already weak walls came down almost instantly. Now they were facing a fully grown giant who had apparently knocked down the house with a large club he was carrying. Luckily Harry, Ron, and Hermione had hidden under a table when the house caved in.

“Great, a giant, just what we needed today,” Harry said sarcastically.

“What I want to know is why we didn’t hear it coming,” Hermione said.

“Who cares? We just have to get rid of it,” Ron said impatiently.

“Do you think we can knock it out like you did with that troll in our first year?” Hermione asked.

“It’s worth a try,” Harry said.

The three of them cast the Levitating Charm on the club the giant was holding, and dropped it on the giant's head. The giant roared with pain and spotted them. Then he grabbed his club out of the air and swung it at the trio. They moved out of the way just in time.

The giant kept swinging his club at them, making the already tired trio even more tired.

“Now what? Knocking the club on his head just made him angry,” Ron yelled.

“Hermione, know any spells to knock out or kill a giant?” Harry asked panting, having just escaped the giant’s club.
“Let’s try that Sectumsempra curse of Snape's. I think it will work if we all aim at the most vulnerable places.”

“Well, it’s the best we have. Come on,” Harry said, taking charge.

The three split up and aimed their wands at the giant. The giant looked about, as though trying to decide which one to attack first. He was lifting his club when Harry screamed, “Fire!” Three spells hit the giant, and blood soon splattered everywhere, covering them and everything around them. The giant lay still on the ground, dead.

“Yuck!” Ron cried out.

“Oh, honestly!” Hermione said, rolling her eyes. "Scourgify!" The spell cleaned Ron up nicely; then she turned it on herself. Harry did it on himself too.

Harry got the wand and all three Apparated to their cave. Exhausted and still dirty, they fell asleep on the hard ground floor. They didn’t notice the pair of sky blue eyes looking at them.

A/N: I revised it so I hope you like it!
