There is a story behind all three of my pets name's.

My dog's name is Jack, who was named after his former owners daughter's ex boyfriend and coincidently Jack is also the name of the man my mom was dating before she met my dad. :lol:

My rabbits, named by my brother, are Rocket and FireChief. Rocket was named for his hyperactivity and being able to jump out of a two feet tall cage in the middle of the night... And FireChief was my brother's nickname when word got out that it was him that pulled the fire alarm at school... :lol:.

The next animal I get I so want to name him Firenze... :)

he got his name because when he was lil he would lay on his side and use his front paws to drag himself across the floor in a scooting manner. hes now 15 and really sick. but hes getting better.

then i have another tabby who is scooters sister. her name is phoebe (sp) but we named her that because she is retarded. lol. she could be sitting on a flat surface and fall of off it and she never lands on her feet.

My dog Belle had puppies 6 weeks ago and we're keeping a golden male lab, and naming it Jessie.

I have three cats. Two are mixed bred and the youngest one is a Calico.

The Calico is named Patches because of it's Patches everywhere but I call her Psycho. The older mixed one is Sheena but I call her Fluffy because she has so much fur. And the middle one (who is the niece to Sheena/Fluffy) is named Sasha but I call her Bulls Eye because she has a huge bulls eye on her side.

I really want to get a snake and if I get a girl, it'll be Nagini and if I get a guy, it will be Salazar.

I used to have a dog named Holly-bear but we live in an apartment and she got too big so we gave her to a friend of my aunts and she was a black lab.

We also had this dog when I was like a little baby and he was named Zeus because of his muscular built. I can't remember what type of dog he was but he was pretty big.

Aha, well this should be fun naming them all. See, the thing is, there's this stray mum cat that lives on our balcony and she had kittens. So, since we've been feeding her and her other two babies for about a year or so, she really trusts us. We even named them Mumzie, Snowball, and Precious. Anywho, when she had her knew litter, she brought them all to us, onto our balcony, and into my room, one by one. The names of the SIX kittens: Screamer, Georgie, MoMo, Shadow, Panda, Alcatraz.

And I got new fishies named Vampyre, Lou, and Lo. (:

I want to get a new hamster. If I do, and it's a boy, it'll be called Remus. If it's a girl it'll be called Bellatrix!

Maybe you all will get a kick out of this. Last month, my friend found a kitten abandoned in the alley behind my friend's apartment. She was more scared than anything, but I brought her home and took care of her, and as she got healthier her fur got longer, and the orange came back out from what was mostly mud in her fur, and her tail regrew it's hair. Eventually, she got healthy and we learned that she has long, orange hair flecked with grey, a fluffy tail with a large plume at it's end, and a moderately flattened face. Now fast forward a couple weeks. She's been living with me a while, I'm kind of a recluse, I mostly just talk to my cats and go to class, and I notice that at times she nods, and at times she shakes her head, and she is responding appropriately well beyond alpha .05.

I always wanted to have cats but my mother is scared of them so I must unfortunately live without them.
I have two budgies named Maxi and Jimmy. Of course they don't live in a cage. They have a cage but the doors are always open.

I have 3 cats: Maura Jean, Twilight Isabella, and Soot. (Maura is a male)
and 2 goats: Caramelldansen (Caramell for short) and Lenny (named for John Lennon)
There's also a mini schnauzer named Nunu and a black lab/pitbull named Angel.

I've cared for more than 40 animals in my life. 90% within the past 9 years, and majority of those are just from this past summer when I moved to the farm.

I'd have to say my two favorite animals that I had to give away were Berkita, a black lab/rottweiler mix, and Schnitzel, a chow/german shepard mix (he was my little teddy bear!).

UPDATE: After yet another dogfight between Bailey and Angel, Bailey was put down Nov. 6th. It killed me to have to do that, but I wasn't going to let anything more happen to her and I'm still angry with my uncle for baiting my dog the way he did just because HE didn't like her. Now I'm waiting on him to get his dog to go after my cats...:evil:

Also, the chicken was finally given away to go live with other chickens and from what I understand it died too.

I have three cats: Salvia, Smoky and Zooey. Zooey is pronounced 'zoo-ee' and I call her Zubat for short...yes, Zubat like the Pokémon.

I really want a Hedgehog named Sebastian but, alas, Hedgehogs are illegal in the state of California.

Parrots:
Frodo- He is a green-cheeked conure and is 1 and a half. He's my baby :love:

Maghee- She is a dusky conure and is about 7. I rescued her and didn't rename her since she has had that name for 7 years. I was going to name her Malfoy or Samwise.

Kashi(RIP)- She was my first budgie(parakeet.) She died last April from liver disease.

Ollivander- He is a budgie and is about 2 years old. He is really friendly but he prefers to be with his budgie friend.

Yaxley- She is a budgie and is about 1 year old. She lives with Ollivander in a huge flight cage and does not care for me too much.

Phineas Nigellus Black(RIP)- He was a budgie but died shortly after I got him. He was so sweet and he loved to cuddle up in my hands. He would jump around his cage until I let him out. I miss him dearly.

Regulus Arcturus Black(RIP)- He was also a budgie. He died 4 days after I got him. He was so cute though.

Just so you all know, I have stopped getting budgies from the place where Kashi, Phineas, and Regulus came from. They were all well taken care of and did not die because of me. I made the wrong choice on getting them from a big chain pet store where you know that the birds must come from bird mills.

I lost my 18 year old cat Rusty in early February. A couple of weeks later, I got a couple of kittens, 7 months and 10 months old. :love:

The pure black boy is named Severus. The black/white tuxedo girl is named Minerva.

A dog named Smeagal from LOTR and also a cat named Skidmark whose almost two years old, my dad named them both.

I have two cats! One is an very long and skinny ginger tabby named Hobbes. He is a huge troublemaker, but a huge lovebug. The other is an incredibly fat tuxedo cat named Journey. They are both awesome cats, but are truly an odd couple.

Oh yes, I also have a Betta fish in my classroom named Napoleon. In my humble opinion, he is the coolest fish ever. My tenth graders love him and the fact that he will eat fish food from their hands and jump out of the water to get food.

Sheena - (11 yrs)the oldest, we sometimes call her Queen, and she's a black/grey/brown, long-haired, fluffy tabby.
Sasha - (10 yrs)Sheena's neice, she's nicknamed The Fat Cat because she weighs about 20-30lbs, and she's a black/brown, short-haired tabby with a bulls-eye on her side and spots on her tummy.
Patches - (4 yrs) the middle cat, she doesn't have a nickname, and she's a short-haired, fluffy calico.
Simba - he's my baby (almost two years), he's nicknamed the King because he's the only boy and he's HUGE and he's named after Simba from the Lion King, and he's a brown/black, short-haired tabby.
Nala - (almost two years) she's also my baby and Simba's sister, she's nicknamed Baby because she was the runt of the litter but her name is from Nala from the House of Night series and it works out that it's also Nala from the Lion King :3, and she is a grey, short-haired cat.

I've 2 cats: Henna is a tabby with ginger highlights and the other is a black cat called Pip because when she was little she had very long black legs so I called her after Pippy Longstocking.

Outdoor cats: Little Boy, Li'l Lisa (his mama), and Champ. Boy and Lisa have been fixed. Champ isn't ours, so he hasn't been. We still feed them all, and in the summer put Revolution on them to keep the fleas off.

Indoor cats: Maggie Snax, the fat calico. Bill, the Grey Kitten Sitter. Crystal, the Deaf Blue-Eyed White Cat. Little Jacky Roo Roo, the black tuxedo who is also a Lisa kitten. Beau, the rescue wedgie sealpoint Siamese.

I am so sad to say, that tonight my better half and I found our "Oscar" stuck between his tank and our bedroom wall...he apparently got mad and jumped (much like he always does) out of the water-only this time too high and far.....I feel absolutely horrible. I know some may say he was only a fish, but he was a fish we raised basically, part of our little family. R.I.P My O

2 cats. One of them has kind of a naughty name that I'm not sure I can say here. I'll give a little clue though...she always seems to be rather irritated and somewhat surly.

My other one is named Dinah. I named her after Alice's cat in Alice's Adventures In Wonderland. Apparently someone abandoned her because I found her on my porch starving to death, so I took her in. She is the sweetest cat I've ever seen, but she is terribly clumsy. She falls off my bed at least once a day.

My chinchillas are called Dora (Pandora) Elizabeth and Midi (Midnight) Ivy. Both their names have stories behind them.

Dora was for several reasons - I was reading the Vampire Chronicles at the time and there's a really powerful vampire called Pandora in them, also my niece (who was about three at the time) wanted me to call her "Dora the explorer". Plus, she LOOKS like a Dora. Elizabeth is from the Producers ("Adolf Elizabeth Hitler. The Fuhrer was descended from a long line of English Queens. Not many people know that)

Midi was called Midnight when I got her because she's a heterozygous ebony chinchilla (in English - she's a bit darker than a standard chinchilla) and I kept the name because my mum always says it's bad luck to change an animal's name. Ivy was after the main character in the film the Village, which is one of my favourite horror films (even though I detest pretty much everything else M Night Shmayl-what'shisname has done).

I've got a three-year-old cat named Max, though he's been with me for only a year. As he was already an adult when I got him from the shelter and responds very well to his name, I didn't change it. A few days ago, though, I dreamt my parents had got a black cat and I wanted to name it Sirius (black cat, Black, Sirius... get it?) :blush:
