What are your pets' names?

I did a search on this, and I was surprised that there were no matches. Since the search has been known to be a little iffy at times, feel free to get rid of this topic.

Anyway, I was just wondering what I your pets name(s) are. I don't have a pet, as I would be in the hospital if I did, due to severe allergies/asthma/sinus disease (if one of these is started, then all of the others are triggered).

I have a calico kitten named Jasmine.

I have a Wired Hair Fox Terrier named B'laash and a Huski/American Dingo named Slaadkii. We got both of them in Kansas.

i have a pet terrier, named jeckle. she's khaki and white in color... actually, before i had her, i first had a black terrier named heckle. heckle is jeckle's older bro! ehehe! so when heckle died, i named her jeckle coz' i was thinking that she'll be heckle's successor! ehehe!

Cat is called Dropje (not my choice) and rabbit is called Sammy or officialy Samwise Gamgee the brave.

I have an axolotl (mexican walking fish), and his name is Broccolini. This is because, if anyone has even seen an axolotl, they have these little feathers on either side of their heads that they use to breathe, and they look like broccoli stalks. I used to have 2 more, called broccoli and cauliflower.

Plus, for whoever said they have severe allergies, id reccomend these little guys. they live in tanks like fish so should be okay for you, and they are incredibly smart and they even learn to recognise their owners voices, and will come to the surface and you can pat them and hand feed them. Currently, mine has his face pressed up against the glass with his little hand trying to get me, cos he knows im in the room but im not paying enough attention to him! They rock, trust me.

I love all my pets! At my dad's house I have a Rat Terrier named Scooter and a Tortoise Shell cat named Swillie(they're both girls). And at my mom's house I have two black and white cats named Gary and Nancy(they're brother and sister), and a couple of weeks ago Nancy had a black and white kitten named Murray. Also at my moms house there's two cats that just hang around outside that we feed. One's a black cat with white paws named Boots(of course) and a orange cat named Garfield(also of course).

I have a fat, black-and-brown weenie dog named Stormi (her given name at birth was Midnight Storm, but I was like, "Yeah whatever, I'm calling her Stormi").

And I have two parakeets (budgies): Silas and Tobey, which I got about seven months ago. Silas is light light blue and hardly has any markings at all, and Tobey is bright yellow-green and his markings are slightly darker than Silas's. I got the name Silas from The Da Vinci Code because he's albino, and I got the name Tobey from Tobey Maguire... Just 'cause he's cute. <3

I (well, we) have a six year old liver and white spaniel called Buster (not our choice of name, he's a rescue dog, and very good too considering). When I was six I had a rabbit called Sabrina (yeah, I quite liked that show when I was younger) but a fox attacked her. :(

My friend has two cats called Rascal and Ginny - there was a litter of seven rescued about a year ago, and they were all named after HP characters, which I found amusing. She got Harry and Ginny (I told her it was foreshadowing! ;)) but they didn't like the name Harry and changed it to Rascal, because, well ... he is one! :p

I had a cat who died a few years ago named Bastet, after the Egyptian goddess of joy, music, and dancing (and who also took the form of a cat...go figure!). She was black (the cat), and we named her Bastet because she was a bundle of energy.

i have had a lot of fish the resently dead are beefy, tiny, jackie and dory, the current fish is either called bryn 3 or nemo!

I've got a 19 lb. Maine Coon cat called George, he's ginger and white, and fluffy and gorgeous! I've got a Russian Blue cat named Grayson, as sleek and shiny as pewter.

My son keeps fish, and I always name them. The two Guarami were shy and unhappy, so I named them Jude the Obscure and Silas Marner. They have since passed into fish eternity. The mom and dad albino corry cats are Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy, and their babies are called Jane and Mr. Bingley. We had two fantail goldies named Billy Sunday and Anabel Lee, also dearly departed. The most recent was a fancy male guppy named Lucy Honeychurch, which I changed to Freddy Honeychurch when I found out he was a fancy male guppy! And a silvertip shark named the Reverend Mr. Beebe, who is now going back to the store for eating our three baby neon tetras!

Buddy, the golden retriever. I had no imgination when I named him and there is a big long story about another dog. I'll spare you.

Cricket, the other golden who looks like an Irish setter in coloring. I did not name her. She came pre-named. I got her from this couple who didn't want her anymore because she jumped too much. Hmm...

My advice: Not that I don't adore Cricket, when getting a dog if their name comes from something that jumps, it's best not to get it.

Haha this jumping dog sounds like fun :p.

And you reminded me - a few weeks ago, me and my friends Laura and Laura [that gets seriously confusing, as i'm also called Laura :lol:] were looking in the pet shop in town, and you know like they sell crickets and locusts for food for spiders *shudders* and lizards and such? Well the tank was empty except for this lone locust...there was no vegetation in the tank, and the locust had a leg missing and one of it's wings crumpled, and was just kinda hobbling along, the poor thing! Anyway, we decided we felt way too sorry for the thing to just leave it, so we put a whole 10p [each! ;o] towards him, bought him and called him Jim.

The worst part was when the till lady was getting him, she put him in a food bag - then she swung it round so that it would tie properly and poor Jim was shaking around in the bag! It was awful.

He died 3 days later due to the trauma.

But he lived out his final days in comfort and happiness, and lots of leaves :D.

Hmm Treehugger, when you said about your long story...I kinda wish i'd spared you all this one too, but ahh well :D.

Who could do somthing like that, I live in Maine for pete sake...rarley anyone gets hurt here on purpose! The next night on the news a story broke that a rash of cat killings occured the night of Halloween in our area. Sorry to bring you down.

Oh, I am so sorry to hear that! How terrible! I am crushed when I hear something like that. I like to think that God has a special place in Heaven for all the pets who've passed on, since He loves them, too.

I've had 2 of my cats go in unnatural ways as well.
The first, tigger, died in september 2003, he'd survived beign hit by a car and had to live with three legs. and then he came stumbling into the house about a year after the accident and so we took him to the vet and they said it looked as though somebody had pulled on his tail so hard that they'd messed with his internal organs.
And then their was felix, he died last year, hit by a car, and left for dead.

Its so so sad when people can't at least stop and call you to tell you what theyve done.

Aw, I'm sorry. :sad: So many sad cat stories. I've got my share of them, too. Coyotes got my favourite kitty a few years back. Actually, they got two of my cats, and I just hate to think of them suffering. I cried for months over the favourite one, I missed her so.

Eclipse- My horse. 8 yr. old Percheron/thoroughbred. 1/2 sister to Fred. She's a huge all black mare who, I swear, can transform herself into satan. She can be positively a PAIN but I ADORE her. She's my princess and I can't give her too much trouble for being slightly evil because if I was a horse I'd be her. LOL!

Contributing to the discussion, though, yes it's very hard when your animals die of unnatural causes. I had a cat named Nalya (Spook's first kitten) she was the sweetest thing and positively beautiful but she was poisoned by the man down the street.

I also had a little calico cat named Eljay who was killed by an owl. She managed to escape it and we found her trying to drag herself home. It still breaks my heart that she tried so hard to come back to us even though she was mortally wounded.

BUT to cheer you all up! BOTH of the cats I have now have triumphed over death! Spook, my other cat's grandmother, goes missing regularly for a couple of weeks at a time. Once, however she disappeared for 8 months and we were certain she was dead. Then my mother called me at College and was like "TESSA! You're NEVER believe who is outside in the porch." And she hasn't left again since.

Chaos, her grandson and the most loving feline alive was shot last summer. We couldn't move him to take him to the vet and we were sure he was going to die but then my dad gave him a shot of horse penecillan and after a few hours he began to perk up. It cleared up the infection enough for him to work the bullet out and he survived without even a trip to the vet! He's still alive and kicking. :)

My dog is called Dover, as in the Cliffs of. He's an 8-year-old yellow Golden/Lab/German Shepard mix. We used to have a dog called Rosemary that we saved from an Albertson's parking lot. Some kid in a South Park t-shirt came and asked us if it was our dog, and we decided to bring it home. She was always kind of sickly and weak, but we took good care of her. When we moved to Phoenix a year or two afterwards, we had to put her to sleep because she wouldn't have been able to make the trip. She was nearing the end of her days, so it would have been a bit futile to give her to a kennel.

We also had a dark grey cat once named Ashes, but he slept outside overnight and died of the cold.

I have an 18 year old cat named, Morgan. She has gotten senile, but is not in pain, according to the vet. She poops and... everyplace. It's disgusting, but I wouldn't want to put her down just for that. Tomorrow, I'm buying a case of paper towels and another one of Lysol.

My wolf died a few months ago. It was so sad. She was very sweet and protected my cats from any intruder. She had cancer that went undetected until she stopped eating. I got her as a fuzzy puppy and have frequently cried (in private) after her death. Her name was Dreotch (Celtic for magic) and she was just that.

I have a 17 year old cat named Spiggy who rules the block, and two young cats that kind of just came along when my son felt sorry for a pregnant stray last winter. The black cat is the heaviest one I've ever lifted, and too affectionate to post in public.

Sorry that some can't have pets for medical reasons. They are great for psychological boosts -- that is, until they die. I remember one winter when our electricity was off for over a week. My son took his Iguana out of the aquarian and laid it on his chest to try and keep it warm, since its heat rock couldn't work. My son was 6'5" and broad -- one of the toughest guys one might meet in the low income housing project, but cried for days when Max died.
