Draco lifted his head and looked at his tearstained face. His pale face had once had a glow of suporiority but now it was just pale. He felt drained and the dark circles under his eyes showed that he had not slept well. He didnt understand. He should be proud, chosen as Voldemorts heir but it was so dream. It was the worst thing he had ever experienced in his life. He had to kill. He always had wanted to but now that he had to he couldn't. What was worse was the if he couldn't kill Dumbledore Snape would have to. Snape had watched over him too long. He knew that Snape was a double agent for Dumbledore. It was easy to see. He knew that this was why he would tell Snape exactly was went on at the meetings and what Voldemort had said and was planning. In his own way Draco was a double agent too. He looked at the faucet and once again looked to the mirror. I hate my refelction, I hate my face, I hate myself, I hate my father, I hate my freinds, I hate the Dark Lorde, I hate my house. What didnt he hate? He hated that he would have to go home during the holidays just to be beaten by his father and watch his mother be beaten to the almost death. Sometimes, as blasphomus as it sounds, he wished he was a Muggle and didn't have to deal with this. He wished his mother was so Naive. Her name, Narcissa, was true to her. Narcissa, its latin root being Narcissus which meant unrequited love, seemed to fit her. No matter what Lucius did to her so would still love him. What blinded her? He knew she loved him but why would she love Lucius? She tried so hard to make him love her but everything she did for him he countered by making it seem as though she had done something wrong. Now it seemed she was slowly dying, crumbling inside from this desiese called love. Could she not see that Lucius cant love anyone? He cant even love his own son. He only loves the Dark Lord and his power.
"Why doesnt he just go marry him and leave us alone!" Draco shouted at this releflection. What if he had been in a different faimly, different house with different friends. Would he be like this? He raised his fist and punched the mirror hard. It shattered into a million peices. Love, Power, Life. These were things Draco had had enough of. He raised the peice of life. I'm giving up, He thought. He dropped the piece of glass. Why am I giving up? I cant die. If I die it wont matter. I have to do something. I have to stay Alive. Stay alive and defy. Try to do everything I can to defy them. I have to help the right way. Perhaps he could be a double agent like Snape. When the last battle came he would cross over and laugh in both of thier faces. He might not be able to kill Voldemort but he would kill his father. It would be enough.
Draco went to bed and fell asleep. When he woke up he had forgotten the plan. It was almost as if it had been erased from his memory.

[haha so its not a one shot, give me a pizza!]
Draco walked into the Great Hall searching out Pansy. Ugh, Pansy. He had to marry her, who else would he marry? Sure Pansy was pretty and rich but god was she annoying. He had on his smirk as he walked to the seat his dear little Pansy had saved for him.
"Darling Draco!" Pansy cooed batting her eyelashes.
"Good morning Dray." Blaise said in monotone while eating pancakes.
Draco merely nodded at Blaise and didn't acknowledge Pansy. He pretended he didnt see her hurt look. Draco took some bacon
"Dont eat bacon Draco darling!" Pansy said shrilly.
"Why ever not Parkinson?" Draco cut the bacon and stabbed three peices with his fork.
"Think of the poor little pigs who were killed to make the bacon! Think of the torture and think of how they squealed!"
"And think of my poor stomach which is empty and wants to be filled by bacon!"
"O.." Pansy fell silent.
Draco felt just like his father.

Draco's arm burned. It was in the middle of Transfiguration. What the heck could Voldemort want? How should he deal with this. If Draco ignored it there would be a great punishment, but if he apperated to Voldemorts side the secret would be out and he wouldn't be able to kill Dumbledore. The pain made him sick.
Draco ran up to Professer McGonagall and squeaked "I am sick!"
"Alright er...you may go to the nurse," Proffeser McGonagall looked suprised at the squeak. Then Draco did it. He threw up right on Proffeser McGonagall. He then ran out of the classroom. The Slytherins all whistled at the fact that thier least favorite teacher had just been throwed up on. Draco ran down the hallway and looked both ways to make sure no one was there and then he lifted up his sleeve and saw his mark. He touched it with his wand, closed his eyes, and he felt a rush. When he opened his eyes he was standing in front of the Dark Lord. They were at Tom Riddle's grave. Lucius had told Draco about how the Dark Lord had risen again and Draco knew this was the place. Draco immediatly knelt and kissed Voldemorts robe.
"My heir," Voldemort hissed.
"Yes, my master?" Draco said, still kneeling in front of Voldemort.
"Get up." Voldemort said with an air of impatience.
"Yes, master." Draco stood up.
"Draco, you as my heir must know something of great importance. Tom Riddle is my father. He was no wizard."
"Sir, are you-
"Yes Draco, I am a half blood, impure." Draco gasped at this. Voldemort who led the Crusade against the Mudbloods was hald Mudblood himself. Voldemort continued.
"My father ran out on my mother when he learned she was a witch. She was then led into a life of poverty and died giving birth to me. It was because of him, the filthy little muggle, that I went to an orphanage and was unnessesarally tortured by muggle children who knew nothing. I then learned I was a wizard. I went to Hogwarts during the winter and fall and during the summer I lived at the muggle orphange. I had no friends. I hated all those children. I began to think that all muggles were like that and at school I began a cult agianst those of unpure blood, convincing people that Salazar wanted us to get rid of these Mudbloods and Muggles. It was I who thought of the term Mudblood. Now, Draco. I know that this is wrong but its gone to far and I must continue the crusade. Draco, I chose you because I know you don't really believe in this. I know you want to kill your father. I know you hate me. I hate myself. I hated my father as well and I killed him. I loved my mother but my father destroyed her. We are so simular Draco. That is why you will be the next Dark Lord. Because you will destroy this Draco. Don't dissapoint me.
Draco traveled back to school.

That was when Draco woke up in the middle of the night. It was all a dream. The Dark Lord did want to kill all the mudbloods. Draco was tired of all this battling against people. It had started fifty years ago and he felt it would never stop. Why couldnt they just ignore the Mudbloods rather then try to round up a gicantic army and kill them all. He would never have any say in it until he was The Dark Lord. He thought of all the Mudbloods he knew. Immediatly he thought of Hermione Granger. She wasn't terribley ugly but not pretty enough to tempt anyone. Her monster hair that probably ate people was a major turnoff but other than that she had an okay complexion. All she had to do was get that hair under control and she could get with better people than the Ron Weasel creature with the gastly hair and freckles. When Draco thought of it all the family had those nightmare features, except for Ginny. Blaise was practictly in love with that red head. If it hadn't been for his parents Blaise would probably kidnap Ginny and marry her. But his parents would never let him ten feet near Ginny for any reason, even to hex her. Knowing him though he probably talked to Ginny regularly and went to Hogsmeade some how with her. He always thought Blaise as Romeo. He always fell in love with someone else every week. Ginny defenantly held the record as the longest liked by Blaise. Now that he thought about it Ginny was unrealisticly like Juliet. He could see Blaise and Ginny lying dead on top of each other on the Ravenclaw table in the Great Hall with Harry, playing the part of the Count, lay dead near the Gryfinndor Tables and Dumbledore playing the part of the Friar. He, Draco, would play the part of Mercutio. Draco laughed at this idea and almost went back to sleep but he saw the sun starting to rise. He didn't feel in the least sleepy. He got out of bed quietly and looked out of the window. He smiled as he thought of the common misconception that the Slytherin Dorms were in the dungeons. The Common room was but the rooms themselves weren't. He saw the sun. The pink rays streching across the blue sky. Oddly his thoughts were only of Hermone and he thought of her eyes.

Hermione dreamed. "Oh happy dagger this is thy sheath!" she heard a voice say. "Now let me die!" She opened her eyes. It had been years since she had thought of the play Romeo and Juliet. Hermione had gone through a temporary Shakespeare phase in which she read all of his plays and bought all the movies that she could of his plays. She had often been called nerd because of her Shakespeare obsession. She guessed somethings never change. She sat up. Wouldn't it be so odd if there was a Romeo and Juliet affair at Hogwarts. No doubt there would be with Ginny's new romance with Blaise (although Hermione had sworn not to tell). She just hoped no one would die. It would cause quite a scandal not to mention the loss of her best friend and not to also mention the loss of her only friend who was a girl. Harry and Ron were good friends, however they weren't quite the ones you went to when you had a crush or relationship problems. Hermione got out of bed and got her journal.

The next day during Charms Hermione was extremely bored considering she had mastered this spell three months ago. That was suddenly scribbles in her notebook appeared in Ginny's handwriting. Whenever she saw this method of note passing Hermione smiled. After all, she had made up this spell.
my friend: excuse for trip: hw. also, meet lunch RR It was supposed to be unobvious but it obviously said I need an excuse to get out of the trip, tell Harry and Ron that I have too much Homework. The second meant meet in the Room of Requirement during Lunch. Hermione thought Opperation Blaise.
----------------------------Across the room-------------------------------
Blaise passed Draco a note during Charms. Draco was slightly bored. He knew this spell and had for about three months. Draco read the note.
Meet up with me at RR. I need to tell you something.- BZ gun Blaise had to sign the note because it wasnt obvious enough he had written it because it was his handwriting and he had passed it to Draco. Draco nodded slightly to show Blaise he understood. Charms ended and then there would be lunch.
"Attention class!" Flitwick said in his flitwicky voice, "I will pair you up with pairs from the other house." Both houses groaned. Draco simply sighed and ignored the list until he heard his name.
"Mr. Malfoy and Ms. Granger."
They both sat down next to each other not exactly happy.
"Mudblood." He hissed.
"Mercutio." There was a moment of awkward silence and Hermoine blushed, "Er...never mind."
"Right." Then suddenly he burst out laughing. Pretty soon so was she. There was a silence. Hermione....Draco...laughing....together? They suddenly stopped and the class resumed as normal. They both simply did the spell a few times perfectly.
Hermione muttered out of her mouth "So Ginny and Blaise are meeting up during the weekend eh?" Draco paled and Hermione realised that he didn't know. "Er...yah...maybe I shoudn't have..."
"Blaise was probably going to tell me this today."
"Oh well, er." Hermione smiled, "Well, now that you know."
"I guess I always knew really. He always talks about her. I'm worried though, seems to much like-"
"Romeo and Juliet." Hermione cut on. Draco lifted one eyebrow.
"Yah. I thought of it last night when-"
"The sun was setting." Hermione completed his sentence. Draco smiled-not smirked.
"Wow." Draco was for some reason smiling.
"It was the same for me." Hermione realised that thier hands were awkwardly close but didn't pull away. Draco did though and fiddled with his wand. Draco was still smiling.
Flitwick stood on his pile of books and squeaked "Class Dissmissed!"
"See you." Hermione said.
"Not during lunch though." Draco said while packing.
"Yah, me neither, I'm meeting Ginny in the Room-"
"of Requirements. Yah, I'm sort of meeting Blaise there too."
"Well watch it, Parkinson is fuming." Hermione warned.
"It'll be ok." Draco smiled (not smirked!)
"See you then." Hermione walked off. Draco ran after her and away from Pansy.
September 9th, 2006, 9:55 pm
Draco and Hermione walked out of the classroom together when suddenly Pansy jumped on Draco from behind.
"Draciepoo! I need to talk to you!" Pansy yelled. Draco rolled his eyes at Hermione who laughed. Unfortunantly Pansy heard the laugh. "What are you laughing about you filthy mudblood, bushy haired sl-"
"Pansy!" Draco yelled over Pansy.
"What Draco? Have you never said these same words before?" Pansy smirked.
"Well, yah but er-"
"So shut up!" Pansy smacked Draco. Draco looked shocked. "I've had it Draco. If you aren't bossing me around you're hanging with another girl! I've had enough of this, We are over!"
"Oh, really?" Draco felt very stupid.
"Well, er, I'm glad we are over..."
"Get out of my way, blood traitor." Pansy hissed at him. Draco stepped aside. Hermione grabbed his hand.
"Ignore her, Draco. Come on." Hermione thought about all the times Harry had said that to her after Draco insulted her. And here she was, holding his hand and telling him to ignore his ex.
"Ok." Draco looked ready to cry. He had never really liked Pansy but now that she was gone he felt like a big chunck was missing. Hermione hugged him.
"It's okay Draco." Draco hugged Hermione back and a tear went down his face. He quickly wiped his tear away and they contined walking to the Room of Requirements.
They reached it. Draco thought. I need to find wherever Blaise Zambini is right now. He went by the wall with his eyes closed and found the door. Hermione was still pacing by the wall. Draco opened the door and went inside. Blaise and Ginny were there holding hands and smiling at each other. Blaise turned towards Draco.
"Draco, we need to tell you that-"
"You guys are together."
"Yah, Drac, howd you guess." Blaise ran a hand through his hair.
"Well either I'm phycic or Hermione told-"
"Hermione!" The boys simply stared as the girls hugged and started talking about random stuff. Blaise cleared his throat and Ginny walked back and stood next to him. Ginny spoke.
"We have something to tell you."
"Actually we have two things we need to tell you."
"Blaise, you tell the first one."
"Ok, well first, we are married." Draco nodded and Hermione squealed.
"The second is a little more drastic." Ginny sat down and put a hand on her stomach. Hermione paled and Draco was clueless.
"Yes." Ginny looked ready to cry, "I don't mean that I dont want the baby it's just that-" Ginny started crying and Blaise hugged her.
"It's ok, Gin. I'll be here the whole time." Blaise whispered.
"Oh my god." Hermione said faintly. She hugged Draco for support and began crying. Draco rubbed her back and nuzzeled his nose into her hair.
"It's ok Herm. It will be ok. Blaise will be out of school by then and he'll take care of it, or something. Ginny will still be able to go to school." Draco realised this wasn't the problem.
"But Blaise's parents. They'll kill him."
"Blaise's parents kick him out almost every month. He knows what to do. He has his own mansion that he pays for."
"Yah, he isnt the lazy bum he appears to be." Hermiome smiled at this. Draco took her chin and tipped it up. He stared into her eyes.
"Its ok, and we will always be there for them."
"And each other." Thier faces were so close....
"Guys!" The moment was gone and Ginny was smiling. "Guess what! I'm gonna move in with Blaise. He has a job and everything. It'll be ok." Draco stared at Blaise which said Dude, you ruined it and Hermione was hugging Ginny and squealing like always.
