DREAM TEAM icon comp - [challenge 2] VOTING

OK! This is something I don't think have been done here before.. but its a battle game, meaning its team on team ever week. This again means that you should not enter if you dont think you are going to be able to enter every week, cos if you dont enter your team will lose one more then usal. (this is team work)

What you do is just sign up for one of the teams, when one team reaches 10 its full.



Do not enter if you cant handle constructive criticism.
You need a graphic program (microsoft paint is NOT a graphic program).
If you dont enter in time you are out.
You can no jump in in the middle of the game
You can not change team.

no, its not that.. people do not work together, to pick teams is more to make something fun out of it :p

no, its not really the same, as it would be really hard to make sure that people could work together, and people using GIMP would have a problem to join in at all..to put people in teams is just so people have someone to go "YAAAY" for.. :p

half of the people who are in will go out every week so this wont last for that long, that way people who are not sure they like it can still join up cos the chanses they go out is 50% every week :p

saw you (EverLore) is on the OP team.. and me (jojo_malfoy) is on the DE team... everybody submit a icon every week, but you battle your own team, meaning you also only vote off peopel on your own team, you do this in hope of that the best from each team in the end will have a battle with the best from the other and YOUR team will win.

OP1 vs OP2 & DE1 vs DE2 the first weeks, and in the last battle ist the last DE vs the last OP... (hopefully the best icon maker from each team)

HOW LONG WILL IT LAST:
week one << 10 on each team
week two << 5 on each team
week three << 4 on each team

(5 weeks then)

When someone is out they get a pretty little shirt turned back with the name and number on :o (if your name is long I'll short it down, just so you knwo) if you are in *** top 4 you get a place aswell :p

No, I have never seen GIMP but I once heard tha hey can not save their files as psd files.. (I dont know for sure i just heard) - But that has nothing to do with THIS comp... Gimp, PSP, PS or whatever other program you have will work - as long as its not like paint :p :o hehe...

Okay, the middle bottom (all I want for Christmas ...) because the quality isn't great (it's very dark) and doesn't look put together very well, and the third one (the marroon jumper one) because the jumper looks weird and again, the quality of the picture isn't great. Both very good ideas, though. Oh, and if I was only supposed to vote one off, then the first one I mentioned.

I LOVE the last one - and that last PO one is great :lol:

no 1, i like this but its slightly too simple and if it was at a first glance its not too christmasy

1: Because, while it's a pretty icon, I don't feel it fufills the topic of "a Weasley Christmas"
5: It's so grainy, and the text doesn't seem right (I like what it says) with the color and the placement.
7: I'm not a fan of major blending...also, like #1, there doesn't seem to be anything Christmas-y about it except for the text.

explaining the manip:

you can cut out renders if you want and do whatever to it - but dont add round glasses to a voldemort face, or put a draco head on a dumbledore body or blend two different people's heads together... you have to use one/two orginal picture.. everything is allowed except that! :p

I was #6 in the DEs...the one with Christmas lights on the Weasley house. I was pleased with it.

I'm sorry! I don't use stuff like that, the furthest I've gone towards things like that with PhotoShop is adjustment layers. Can we not just stick like Voldemort's mouth on Harry or something equally basic and not totally a photo manipulation? That I understand and can do - this I cannot at all.

You could use Serif Photoplus, it's a lot like Photoshop

I'm going to have to say 1 and 3 because number 2 is just amazing and I couldn't vote for it if I tried. It's just too amazing.

I'm voting off 1 because though the coloring was a good idea, it looks odd and a little too plain. I'm also voting off 3 because though Ron does look really angry in this, he's wearing a knitted hat with flaps on it, and well, I don't picture Death Eaters wearing knitted hats with flaps. The background doesn't look like it's behind him; it looks like thick green smog.
