yes, lots of famous people. I used to first aid and we had to duties at various places where there were crowds, usually footballers

I've met Emma Watson, but that was before she was famous (We went to the same school in England) She was nice, but I'm not sure if she's changed at all since she got famous, seeing as I, nor her, go to that school anymore.

I haven't met anyone super-famous before, other than her.

i didnt exactly meet this person but it was close to it...

i was chatswood (shopping centre in sydney) and i was eating lunch with my mum and along comes tammin sursok from home and away and she was talking on the phone and shesat down about 3 tables away from us and i was soooo exited (i was like 11 at the time) so i got some paper and a pen and sat there waiting for her to get off the phone and she was taking AGES!
she knew i was looking at her cos she said 'some kids staring at me' i was just like gee... thanks so i gave up and walked off

and i've also had the misfortune of meeting nikki webster... shes sooo annoying! it was at the christina aguilera concert and she was in front of us in the line to go in and all these litle kids kept coming up to her and she was just loving it!

I've met 98 Degrees and Jessica Simpson, my Aunt taught Nick in college. I've met Deon Sanders he came to our school to give a speech. I've met wally szerbiak, other than that not too many.

My family is close friends with Gloria Arroyo, who is the current president of the Philippines. Whoot!! :)

1. Who have you met? I met Kirk Cameron (the guy who plays Mike Seaver on Growing Pains) and I met some famous Jazz vibraphone player--well he's dead now, isn't it a shame that I met someone famous and can't remember his name?
2. Where/how did you meet them? I met Kirk (my buddy) at an auto show in Pennslyvania about 15 years ago (he was such a hottie) and I met OH his name is Lionel Hampton!! a few years ago at me job...he put on a concert.
3. What were they like? Kirk was a cutie and I wasn't all that impressed with Lionel Hampton--probably because I had not freakin' clue who he was...

I have met Hugh Grant a while ago when I was "modeling" I say that in a quote because it did not go any where, but my brother was good at it... **sighs** Umm I met him in manhattan when I auditioned for Sleepers .. I think that was the name of the movie... It was about ten years ago... gimme a break.. LOL

I've met Tom, Tim and Richard from Keane outside the Carling Academy after a concert. Really nice guys now to meet Franz and Snow Patrol.

I've met a handful of American Politians including Bill Clinton, AL Gore, Chris Heinz, Donald Rumsfield *gag* and a few others. Im somewhat related to a certian politian who's name shall remain secret, as I dont want to be flamed.

Ive also met Jake Gyllenhaal.. Funny guy, a little goofy/dorky, but he seems to have the best intentions.

I met the actor Jim Caveizel (spelling may be wrong.. so sorry!!)
2. Where/how did you meet them? I was at a pro-life talk in Cleveland with my school. His wife was speaking there, and afterwards he met with all of the school kids that had attended.
3. What were they like? He was amazing. He was extremely humble, and very devoted in his work and beliefs. You could tell that he didn't care all that much about money. He was just amazing :)

OMG! My uncle went to that conference thing in Switzerland on Thursday with the Chairman of the company he works for. (Bill Gates, Bono and loads of other people were there) It was something to do with politics blah blah blah blah.

Anyway, on Thursday evening, he and some colleuges were in a restaurant and who should be sitting having a meal there but BONO! Most of the people he was with were like HUGE U2 fans, so they went over and talked to him. My uncle was the only one with a camera, however, so he took loads of photos. So when he came to see us on Saturday, he had all these pictures of Bono on he camera! The funny thing is he's not even a U2 fan.

Aooarently Bono was really nice though.

Many years ago, when I lived in California, I met Tom Cruise and Nichole Kidman. I was working in a movie theatre, and had a brief conversation with him about his new film that had just come out. (The Firm) I asked for an autograph (I was so young :blush: ) and he signed his name, then passed the paper to Nichole to sign. The problem was, she was not quite as well known then as she is now, and I remember thinking to myself, 'who the heck is she?'.
I guess it's a collectors item now that they aren't together anymore. :evil:

Well I used to live in Los Angeles and a friend of mine Trevor, is an actor. He's been in the movie Basketball (he played Joey) and he was in the series Frasier he played Frasier's son. Him and his sister were also Michael Douglasses 2 kids in Disclosure. His sister was in a really shortlived tv show called Hiller and Diller on ABC and I met Eugene Levy through that. A few of my other friends in Toronto are friends with the kids from Degrassi the Next Generation. I also met Jennifer Lopez way before she became famous as she lived in my uncles appartment.

Lets see I met all these people in Hawaii at different times. Regis and Kathy Lee, John Travolta, Jonathan Taylor Thomas, Anne Heche, Harrison Ford, and all the actors on Lost. Im telling you go to Hawaii. I have also met Modest Mouse, Moby, David Bowie, The Killers and lots of other bands. My friends dad works for a radio station here in Seattle so we always get free tickets and back stage passes. It rocks. :p

I've just met many AFL players. When i was younger one of them brought me a coke and last year for my birthday, my 2 sisters got some of the Eagles boys to sign my birthday card, that was pretty cool.

My dad worked for Federal Express in Manhattan. So he delivered numerous movie scripts/packages to her apartment. She became friendly with my dad and invited us to the private family premiere of Josie and the Pussycats. It was my family and her close friends/relatives. We met her, got her autograph and talked to her a bit.

She was very nice. She gave us autographs and we talked for awhile. Actually, my sister had a pen in her bag that she bought for like $1.00 in a store so she liked the pen. So my sister gave it to her.

I don't think I met anyone else famous. I think I met Joel Siegal once (the News guy) in Manhattan because once again my dad delivered to his apartment. My dad's delivered to ALOT of famous people including Madonna, Hellen Hunt, Gregory Hines (who's now dead), Todd Zeille (from the NY Mets), and various other random people.

First of all I have to state my jealousy of Piggle_ Humsly! I would so love to meet the LotR cast!!!

The only famous people I've met are Minnesota Twins baseball players. My family and I love the Twins, so when we visited Florida we spent a day at their spring training. The more famous ones I got autographs from were AJ Pierzynski (catcher) and Bert Blyleven (former famous pitcher, current broadcaster). Bert was awesomely nice! I almost got Torii Hunter's autograph, but he was surrounded by a huge pack of fans and he had to hurry to get to the next practice, so there wasn't enough time.

I also caught a glimpse of Swedish "Idol 2004" winner Daniel Lindström at a mall, though I didn't stand in line to get an autograph.

On a more serious note, I have met famous opera singers from the NY Metropolitan Opera (I used to love Opera when I was younger, from my teens to early 20s). I have autographs. :whistle: :scared:

I am related to the Late John Ritter and once when I was 4 years old I actually had the honor of meeting him at a family reunion. Even at that young age it amazed me that a star would have taken time out of his schedule to come to some backwoods barbeque to fellowship with folks he'd probably never met.... I always wanted to "meet" him again. Perhaps someday I will.

I also met country singer Neil McCoy in the post office in Longview one day. That was neat. I've met Jerry Van Cook, one of the writers behind the Don Pendleton Pen name. (One of about 20 i think! LOL) Had the chance to study under him. He's a great writer.

I met president Bush when he was governor of Texas too.

A few other folks but I can't remember them off hand....

I have met all the guys in Oasis (Noel & Liam Gallagher, Gem Archer, Andy Bell & Alan White)... I go to a lot of their concerts each time they tour and my best friend & I got backstage passes for 2 shows. They are the nicest guys and were really great to us. Very friendly... not at all how the media would have you believe they are!

I almost met Oprah once.
You see, it was a fairly reliable rumor that she was going to come visit the newly opened (and nude-pig controversial) BBQ Shack. So, on that day-there was no school-I went down there with my sister and some friends at 11:30. Two BBQ sandwiches and 3 1/2 hours later, I left. Oprah never showed. We were so disappointed.
I live in a very small town, and I'll bet that by reading this you're getting some sense of how sad and small my life is.

I met Gerald Ford (former US president, not while he was in office,) the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in the Clinton administration, the members of the band POD (although I didn't realize it was them till a few minutes later when someone told me; I don't really follow their music, but they were very nice :),) authors Madeline L'Engle and Katherine Patterson.

I met most of these people through my parents' work, but Gerald Ford and POD were a matter of being in the right place at the right time: The Gerald Ford Museum (when you have a day to kill in Grand Rapids and nothing better to do...) and Salem Massachusetts respectively.

I also met Al Gore's daughter at a very minor political function.

Um...I got to go backstage at a Great Big Sea concert and meet the band. I'm not sure they're really famous but they're fairly well known and I like their music a lot. :)

When I was interrailing around Europe last year, my friends and I happened to bump into Aliasha Wood in an Irish pub in Prague, he was drunk, we were drunk, it was pretty weird meeting someone famous like that, or anyone famous for the first time. I saw Julian Clary at the pantomime! He was sitting about across the aisle all on his own and refusing to talk to anyone. He seemed to be immune to everyone looking at him. His sister was the fairy in cinderella. It was quite funny actually because it was before he was on Strictly Come Dancing (fellow brits will know what I'm talking about) so no one knew who he was. When the show was aired a couple of months later I was like "I saw him" to my friends but none of them believed me!

I met the Umbilical Brothers with my friends after their show. We didn't have a camera so we got in the background of everyone elses' photos with them, just so they they would have to have us as well! I have no idea why we did that, but it was fun!

c. He gave a lecture at the main campus of my University... he was inducted into our Hall of Fame thing.

a. They were really nice. The lead singer for Smile Empty Soul was flirting with my friend! LoL! They gave everyone autographs and posed for pictures and chatted with everyone! I love the guy from Trapt! w00t!

c. I didn't get to meet him, but his lecture was great. He has a great sense of humor and very intelligent. He went to college when he was 15! *pout* He was like melting me with his brainpower or something... lol...

I once met mayor Susan Fenell at my fathers gallery opening. I din't notice her at all and didn't know it was her until she was mentioned in a speech. The gallery didn't sell much though...

I would have preffered to meet the guys from three days grace or sum41 though.

Stephen King lives in my hometown I go past his house all the time. He's kinda scary but his movies are scary and I love scary movies.

For any football fans out there Carl Eller lives seven houses away from mine. Sometimes when I walk to my bus stop I've seen him picking up after his dogs.

I met P.O.D when they were walking to their limo after Super Bowl 37 and they asked my family if they could eat with us.
I met Jamie and Jake last month at my hometown in California where they were filming their upcoming movie called "Jarhead."

Jose was really nice, we talked baseball.
P.O.D was really nice also, they really like steak. My family likes their music so nbody felt uncomfortable.
Jamie was funny and cool.
Jake was laid back which was cool.

I shouted hello to Samuel L Jackson when he was at St Andrews for the Dunhill Links golf last October, and he waved. On the same day my mother in law stopped Sir Steve Redgrave (the 5 times Olympic Medallist) and took his photo, she said he was very nice, but I wasn't paying attention as my husband was pointing out Kevin Costner at the time - although we just waved at him from a distance. Colin Montgomery and Veejay (sp?) Singh, the golfers didn't stop to talk to fans when they came off the course, which was a shame as there were a lot of young kids waiting to meet them.

Well, i know this might be hard to believe, but i know the body double of Madamn Pince. The actual actress that played Pince never actually appeared in the film (Chamber of Secrets)! But yeah, i know her. We're friends actually. And i've met the HP illustrator.

Then we stalked Seb back to his hotel and mobbed him there again (somehow I don't think that counts as meeting... he was practically trying to run away). Hmm. I met Nelson Mandela at the lighting or whatever ceremony of the Olympic Torch (Sydney 2000)... I thought it was awesome at the time 'cos I had just finished learning about SA and aparthied, and he was such an influential man to me at that time. Oh, I also met Sarah Brightman at the after-party after her concert. That's about it :)

2. Where/how did you meet them? I had some problems with my Gibson pipes and I talked to Gibson about fixing them at Celtic classic in PA. John Bottomly is our pipe band instructer.

3. What were they like? Both really strange... Typical Pipers. Other than that normal people. Just like you and me?

I have met Alex Kapranos, Bob Hardy, Nick McCarthy and Paul Thomson of Franz Ferdinand fame. Outside the back of the Albert Hall and they were really nice Bob even laughed at the stuff I asked him to sign :cool:

I know I've met someone cool. Ummm...I've met 2 really famous mountaineering chicks: Tori Allen & Megan Emmons. Also, I met John Kerry at one of his rallies, he was super funny and really nice. Very tall though, lol. And the mountaineers were really nice. I love mountainering/climbing, so that was awesome. Oh! I forgot, Bon Jovi! At Kerry's rally, he was cool too!

I met the Spinners and the Temptations this summer! I was singing with my band in the casino lounge, and they were in the showroom, and they came down to hear my band! And they said hello to me! And shook my hand!
Unfortunately, I was the only one in the band who was freaking out about it. I guess not everybody grew up listening to Motown.

Oh, and once I sang backup for Paul Anka. He was a bit of a dink. Okay, he was a colossal toe-head.
But at least I got to sing on the same stage as Juan de Marcos Gonzales (Buena Vista Social Club) Bebel Gilberto (we sang together on the same microphone *whee!*) and Yuri Bonaventura! There's an excellent chance that if you ever meet me, I'll pull out the photos and show you (I love to show them off)...

2. Where/how did you meet them? When I was 5ish my parents were really involved in politics and went to the governor's house for fancy dinners alot. One time my sister and I came along. All the kids started playing a game of tag. We decided that "that guy" was base. "That guy" turned out to be the governor. I was being chased and ran up and tackled his legs. He didn't fall over, but I'll bet he remembers me.

I met Michael Schumacher, the F1 driver, a few years ago. It was in the RDS in Dublin. I didn't actually talk to him, I just got to hold his helmet, which was sweaty from him wearing it when he was go-kart racing, and got a picture with him. I felt mad lucky to have met him.

I've met Ryan Giggs a couple of times and Gary Neville lives down my road and I see him all the time (they both play for Man.United English Football team). I met all the boys' from Busted (English pop band which have now split up) and I've met Jason (Ryan Thomas) and Sarah (Tina O'Brien) from Corrination Street (English soap) apart from that though I've met no-one A-list!

Where/How did you meet them?
Alan was at a friends (UKTV actor... Who i met through a school friend who's related to him) house. I had no idea who he was, so I was pretty much a fool. I think I said "How do?"... Zebrahead I met at a gig, same with 4ft Fingers. I bought their drummer a pint (Tut tut for underage lager-serving).

What were they like?
Alan was just... normal. Lol. I didn't really pay him attention, I was just polite and then went upstairs.. The TV actor was really nice. Shocked that I liked 80's music. :) Zebrahead were really nice. During the gig, the guy... Justin? I'm bad with names, kept grabbing my hand and singing like, right into my face, which was odd, but cetrainly cool. The 4ft fingers drummer was AWESOME. He offered me his sticks as payment for the lager, but sme guy grabbed them as he held them out to e and ran off with them. :'(

I've met most of the Edmonton Oilers for the last 5-6 years, husbands boss is a part owner plus they regularly give autographs at West Edmonton Mall.

Met Andrew Dan-Jumbo from TLC's While You Were Out, he is a real sweetie. He was at the Home and Garden Show in Edmonton just a couple weeks ago.

well... since my last post, i met Mohammed Al fayed. He owns the Harrods luxury dept store and the ritz hotels. His son Dodi was famously dating Princess Diana when she died.

Superchic[k] was in a big hurry because they had to go set up for their concert later that evening so I didn't really get to find out, And the Supertones were very nice (But seemed a little distracted), The Apologetix are really nice and friendly, we got to talk to them the longest.

3. Pretty normal. I think Ben Stiller was trying to avoid attention at the time, but Pierce Brosnan was amused that my cousins and I were so nervous. :)

I met System of a Down at Tower Records in Glendale, California. When 'Steal This Album" came out on November 26, 2002. They were cool to talk to. Unfortunatly, I didn't get to talk to them very long because there were 480+ people behind me all waiting for their chance.

I also saw Brian McKnight (sp?) at the Glendale Galleria. He wouldn't stop to sign autographs, so that was sort of not cool. He didn't even seem to notice us, even though we were right under his nose. Oh well.

I used to go to church with a footballer from the 1940's, nobody remembers him anymore so I don't talk about it much. His name was Billy Liddell and he played for Liverpool, he was an absolutely amazing player, and even though he was very old and had Alzheimer's when I knew him, he was absolutely lovely and I loved him to bits. He used to play penalties with us against the back wall of the church hall, and let us win! He died of Alzheimer's disease on the 3rd of July 2001, and my mum and dad went to his funeral because he was a close family friend, they were in the background on the BBC news report when they carried the coffin out of the church. They said they'd never seen anything like it, it's only a little church, but it was absolutely packed, and there were Liverpool scarves and shirts everywhere, and some old Liverpool players (Ian St John!!!). He used to live over the road from my dad, and on match days, he'd go to work in an office, then get the tram to Anfield with the fans! I didn't know who he was when I was little, he was just 'Billy' or 'Mr Liddell' to me, when I got older, I realised that I was spending 1 day a week in the presence of a legend, so my dad sat me down and told me not to talk about it to anyone, because the family didn't want the press following them round everywhere, and they didn't want the extent of his condition to get out. Anyway, He was a fantastic person and a great footballer, and feel lucky to have known him!!

I shook hands with Reagan once, and my Grandpa tried to start a conversation. This was after his presidency, but before his Alzheimer's was announced as serious. He was being pretty closely handled by aids on either side, and he just sort of smiled and nodded vacantly at Grandpa before moving down the line to shake more hands.

When I went to the BBC I met the entire BBC News crew (you name someone, I'll have met them). That was pretty cool. I also used to live very very close to the set of Eastenders (a UK soap), the set was literally across the street from me, and I always saw the stars although I was only little at the time so I never really talked to them or anything. I saw whoever plays Pat and whoever plays Ian (sorry for my ignorance) shopping in the supermarket once, and they smiled at me. I thought that was pretty cool.

I've yet to meet any Hollywood stars or anything, although I'll probably do my best to get to a few London film premieres later this year/next year.

I met JK Rowling a few years ago. Ah, what a wonderful day!! I was only 11 then, but I still look back on it and glow. If I remember correctly, it was her first American book signing, and it was on the release day of Prisoner of Azkaban. We weren't supposed to talk to her because of time constraints, but I wasn't going to pass up the chance, even though I looked like a moron with my forehead hidden beneath a purple lightning bolt tattoo. She finished signing my book and I blurted out, "Thank you SO MUCH!" to which she replied, "No, thank you!" and pressed the book into my hands. I could have fainted with utter joy. I think I mumbled something about loving her a lot, and she smiled at me, thanking me again. Then I was forced to get out of line by some bookshop employee.

Ugh.

Anyway, Jo seemed so nice, just genuinely flattered that hundreds of people showed up to see her. I wish I could revisit that day!

1. Who have you met? I went to high school with members of the American rock band Story Of The Year. I also met one of the guys who was in Can't Hardly Wait. He played one of the dorks. I've also met assorted athletes from St. Louis sports teams. I also met the last living munchkin from the wizard of oz. Oddly enough he was having lunch at a place John Goodman owns near me (he went to a neighboring high school.) I've met John Goodman many times. I also met some government people for the state of Missouri. Durring Warped Tour last year I had the pleasure of meeting the guitar player for antiflag and several members of the Casualities.

I've met a lot of actors who are on soap operas, because I interned on one soap and then worked as a temp on another. Most are very nice and great people. There are a couple who have let it go to their head IMO.

I met Terry McAuliffe when he was DNC chairman, but I was so nervous that I got really drunk and acted like an ***. Where have I met them?
Garth Brooks: He grew up in the same town I grew up, good ol' Yukon, Oklahoma. and his parents still live here, so I get to see him and talk to him through his and my parents. The Christian Bands at a concert that I got to go backstage and hang out with them before the show. And Kelly and Justin at a Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilara(not that I like them-it was awhile back, when I was easily influenced), and they say a row above us. it was awesome! but they had to come in late and leave early because people were crowding them and making such a big deal out of it that the guards had to close off their section! :( ohh well, it was cool to meet them.

What were they like?
Well I've known Garth for awhile, he's really cool. Pretty laid back, like a cousin or uncle really.
Uhh, the christian rock and rap bands/artists were all pretty nice, I mean they were really down to earth even though some were crazy fun!
and I know Justin and Kelly are really nice, even though it was a loud concert and they got sectioned off, so I didn't really get to talk or have fun with them :(.

I was blessed to work at Tower Records on Sunset Blvd. in my 20s. In fact I spent my 21st birthday working there. I left when my husband joined a band that toured Europe a lot and US a few times. I met a lot of wonderful people that are famous and a few jerks that are famous as well. I remember when Jimmy Page came in he was so junked out that he could hardly stand up. My favorite was Robin Williams who was the sweetest person - Oh, and Bette Midler who was a bit of an idol of mine. I remember being so enthralled with EltonJohn that when he came in I was too shy to ask for his autograph and a friend did it for me. Sylvester Stallone was really nice and WOW if anyone knows who Lillian Hellman is, she came in shortly before she died and bought blank tape because her eyesight was going and she wanted to dictate some work into a microphone. I saw John Belushi at the Central, which was right accross the street from Tower, two weeks before he died. I was really sad when I heard that he was gone. I remember Elvis Costello coming into Tower and then again meeting him at the airport when my husband was sharing a flight with him to London a couple of years later. He was very kind to my husband's band when they were there. I was an extra on Sargent Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, the worst movie you can imagine, and one of the Gibbs were on drums and at every break, he would bum a cigarette off of me as I was right behind him. I also did extra work on The Rose with Bette Midler in the old LA Opera House. There are just so many... I remember Michael Jackson tried to come in once while I was there but someone approached him and he flipped out and left. That was around the time of Thriller, so you could imagine. He is a very shy man and very soft spoken. Luciano Pavarotti did an instore and so did Rodney Dangerfield. Rodney was so nice. Robert Fripp was my favorite instore, however. He just played his guitar at the front of the store and we just got to watch and didn't have to sell anything until he was done. Iggy Pop hung out with us in the back room for about an hour once. I was so impressed with him.There were so many I could just go on and on.

erm...i think i've met a few others but the one that comes to mind is the entire New Jersey Nets, they stayed at the same hotel as me and we waited in the lobby after the big game we went to and sure enough they came in all at once and i got a bunch of autographs and Jason Kidd was on his cell phone, it was hilarious! he started laughing and he snorts when he laughs it was cool lol! i've also met Steven Jackson which i'm sure few if any of you have ever heard of because he was a rookie in NFL on the Rams ya no but yea he's a sort of hometown hero around here, we LOVE Steven lol

I came so close twice. In the late 80's the Natural History Museum of L.A. County did the Hollywood Legend and Reality Exhibit. My Mom and I got to go to the gala party the opening night. It was to honor Jimmy Stewart. He was there with his wife. My Mom saw John Lithgow (3rd Rock From the Sun) and I was some 3 ft away from Mr.Stewart as he gave an interview. Later on there was an opening night for the film The Land Before Time. The preview was at the I-Max theater and the after party was held at the same Museum above. George Lucas was there and I was just inches away from him as he gave an interview. I was in awe and I couldn't speak.

Hmm.... Arthur Levine (the US publisher of Harry Potter) dated my roommate when he was a young fellow at college, so we talked about writing a lot and ate dinner together several times. I haven't seen him since 1984, though!

I've met author Kurt Vonnegut, consumer advocate Ralph Nader and comedian Lewis Black. They were all pretty big highlights for me and I'm a fan of all of the above so I was pretty speechless so to speak.

I met this artist, I can't remember his name at the moment, but he does ocean wildlife. He was working on a huge mural in a seaside town and was taking a break across the street. We happened to be there at the time. I told him that I liked his mural. I don't remember if he said anything to me, I was, like, 6 years old at the time. :rolleyes:

i met damien rice & lisa hannigan, only at the time i was a wee bit ******, and i didn't realise it was them. i thought it was just a busker who knew how to play damo's music (which wasn't really all that likely back in 2001) because they were sitting in a doorway on the royal mile in edinburgh, lookin kinda homeless. i proceeded to drunkenly sing/shout over damo & lisa all the way through cannonball, while stopping for chats with my mates at selected intervals. i then gave him something in the region of £3.50 for his troubles, he said "i'm not busking" i responded with "jus-take-eh-money". he clapped after i finished singing over him tho, which was nice :)

I worked as a customer service agent for an airlines when I lived in Los Angeles and I've checked in Elizabeth Hurley and Cameron Diaz. We weren't allowed to ask for autographs or pictures or anything but that was cool.

I met Robin Williams once, he's pretty funny and cool. I told him that I like his tights in Hook and he laughed, but it was a benefit so I only talked to him for like 10 seconds.

I've also met Rob Schineder (sorry, I don't know how to spell it), you know, The Hot Chick and The Animal guy. He grew up in my town and he came to my school a couple of times.

ok i met a famous french tv host and his niece at the train station sunday and i' ve met an awful number of internationally opera singer i had interwiewed them for my high school radio.

When I was in 7th grade (1976) we won a contest and Kiss performed at our school. I met all of them as they were leaving the school. This was right before it became a big deal to see them without makeup ( if only I had taken my camera not one of them wore makeup as they left Oh the money the tabloids would have paid a few months later)
They were all nice but I got the feeling they would have rather been anywhere then a JR. High gym.

i met jkr at a book signing down the street from my apartment. this was years ago. i got the first and second book signed so thats awesome. it was before harry potter had really blown up completely. its kind of a blur because i was so excited that i just talked and talked and in the end she had to remind me that there were many more people behind me in the line. ill always remember that though. she was very kind. she always looks like she's inwardly laughing at some private joke- i mean that in a good way. you can see it in every single picture of her holding one of the books. it was the best thing in the world to see it up close.

I met José Saramago, a portuguese author. My dad took me a pic with him.

He came to Costa Rica for the inauguration of the Book Fair of this year, so we went there too and he let us take a pic with him... He was old, very tall, serious but friendly too. I was soooooooo excited that I couldn't stop smiling and trembling, and I felt my hands swetting. After my dad took the pic, he said:"Wow! you're in shock...do you imagen it would have been JK Rowling...? You'd have faint!".

I've never read any of his books, but he won a Literature Nobel Prize... I shall read them, someday!

I have met an unnaturally small number of famous people, and they're all only marginally famous across the world. I must repel celebrities.

I used to know Neil McKenzie (South African cricketer) but before he was known, we used to go to schools with mutual friends.

I also apparently met the brother of Billy Connolly in a pub when I was about 6, Don't remember it though! Don't know if that counts but apparently Billy had also been at the pub from time to time.

I've never met anyone famous, but a friend of my family met Tom Cruise. Long time ago, but she said he was really nice.

I don't think he's really that famous, but some people may know of him. I grew up in the same town, and my husband was college room mates with Damian Higgins. He goes by the dj name Dieselboy. Before he got as popular as he is he used to stay with us when he was in whatever town we lived in.(We lived in San Francisco and Detroit to name a couple) Whenever he puts out a new cd he sends it to my husband, and they still talk.

I've met Colin Farrell, Ashley Angel from o*town (hahahahhha...he was actually pretty hot), zach ty bryan (ya know, from home improvement), haley joel osment (i see dead people) and JC Chasez. Colin and Ashley I met at the Daredevil premiere in Westwood. They were both nice. Zach and Haley are from my home town, also both nice. and JC Chasez i met at a club on sunset. Because i used to be obsessed with *Nsync, meeting JC was just awesome. he was nice. ok bye folks.

What was really funny for me is that all my (male) collegues were prowling around Kournikova's hotel hoping to catch a glimpse of her and I, who didn't care at all, was the one who met her !!! They were about to cry when I told them !

I also met a long time ago 007 (Roger Moore) and he is so adorable !!!
