Silent Tears
A child sits alone in darkness.
No sound is heard.
A single beam of blue white moon light falls aross their face.
Silver tears trickle silently down a pale cheek.
Sadness can't be heard only felt when Silent tears fall.

It was cold as usual, sat alone in the window of his dorm Draco was pondering the thought of running away from Hogwarts.

But how can I get away they will find me eventually, anywhere I go.

"Its your destiny boy you must join us no matter what its a proud tradition we will always keep"

again his fathers voice resounded in the corners of his mind.

"Da.mn you leave me alone I want peace not war!"
he shouted to himself angrily.

He started to pace furiously trying to think of away of escape, was it safer to stay at Hogwarts or to run and go into hiding?

He couldn't decide what todo.

A few days later at breakfast, he noticed a first year he remembered from the train journey down.
Malfoy was looking for a spare compartment for them to have to themselves, only one was spare in the corridor they usual sat in, inside was a girl he stood staring at the back of her head for a few seconds before speaking.
"Oi you get out we want this compartment no 1st years allowed" he called to the girl her head whipped around, he was struck by how unusual she looked.” Excuse me? (Arching her eyebrows) "Is that a threat (giving him and up and under smile) or a challenge?" she asked
"Crabb Goyle get in here move her out" he called to his friends who were lurking outside.
She threw her head back and laughed

“Your joking right?" she replied
"No I’m not now get out of here; yo boys move her stuff for her.
"You touch my stuff and you'll pay. I can promise you that boys"
"HA whatever now move her stuff" Crabb and Goyle moved an started to pick up her trunk and bags lightning fast she stood up and put a freezing charm n them then placed them in the full body bind.” So you were saying? Now I warned you would you like to be like your friends or are you gonna back off? there is another compartment free down the corridor only room for two might I suggest you put them two in there and you stay here?" she asked
"Yeah right we're having this one" replied Malfoy
With a flick or her wrist he was on the floor she stood above him a spiked stiletto boot digging into his chest "So are you going to stay or what?" she asked again quietly.

She let him up "Ok then I will I’ll send those two off"
she floated them off to the other compartment along with their stuff and turned to Malfoy and fog marched him back to her compartment and then locked the door.” So?" she said turning to him, he was struck by her looks she was small she barely came to his shoulder but she had the build of a 6th year but the face of a 1st year.
"Who are you? He asked "I'm Dra..."
"Draco Malfoy?" she said before he finished
"Yeah I am how do you know?"
"I know most thing I need to know you can call me Ice ok? You’ll learn my name in good time" she replied they sat and chatted until she later disappeared and returned a while later he found he couldn't leave because she had sealed the door behind

She was talking to Harry quietly, he looked over at her until Potter noticed and looked down quickly but not before Potter told her.

Later when he was sat in Potions she stumbled in. Snape gave her the cold once over, "Sir I'm a 6th year gryffindor I've been assigned to your class" she said smiling apprently none of her fellow gryffindors knew who she was they were looking at her with pleasant looks of puzzlement.

she turned and smiled in Dracos direction catching his eyes but no-one but him noticed.

He had noticed she was unusal in looks but it was then he was actually struck by how pretty she was, she had the height and face of a 3rd year but the body and build similar to the other girls in his year curvy and adult.

She had a small heart shaped face. Big grey blue eyes, fair pale skin a button nose laced with freckles and a full lipped smile, on top of this she had a shock of glossy chestnut brown corkscrew curls that fell to her shoulders.

She sat down quietly in the only spare seat there was. Next to him everyone else had been paired off he recived piting looks from his fellow Slytherines and harsh cold looks from the Gryffindors, mainly boys he noticed most of the boys in the room were looking at the girl beside him in awe.

(yeah and i can guess why sad idiots she'd eat you alive if i go by by instincts i'd say this one is not like any other in our year) he though to himself

The class had settled down again Snape began giving the intructions to each pair about the assignment they were doing, when it came to them his eyes lingered wistfully on the girl beside him "So Miss Woods, at which school were you previously?" he asked as usual his voice was cold.

"ST. Hungreds school of magic learning in South Africa Profsser" She answered never finlinching under the scrutiny of that cold black stare.

"You two are will be making polijuice potion ok? I'll give you permission to get what books you need from the Library and some of the more complex ingrediants then it shall be up to you."

He turned next to Pansy Parkinson and her partner.

"So what is your name then Ice Queen? or should I call you Wood?" He asked her coldly She turned and looked at him with Big blue eyes they were outlined in eyeliner egypitain style they made her eyes stand out an he noticed that they slanted at the corners.

She smiled, for the rest of the lesson he ducked his head down and worked, she sat studying his profile intently she couldn't belive what she was here todo for the order. It some how didn't seem right to dupe everyone.

She had been uncerimoniously hauled in from South Africa to be enrolled here to work for the order.
she sighed and went back to her work.

at the end of the lesson he Potter was waiting behind for his detention he waited and watched the girl who had turned up so unexpectedly claiming to be a gryffindor she was waiting for something todo with her potions assignment.

"Hey there I'm Harry, Harry Potter. Who are you? he asked "Um I'm Lisa, how are you?" she replied taken aback by his direct approach
"Any way nice to meet you Harry I got to go stuff to do you know anyway see you later I guess, Hermoine said She'd show me around here. any way bye!"
she called as she left the room,Snape came back in just after.

Later Harry wandered off to the room of requirement to sit and chill he couldn't get the thought of Lisa out of his mind she was so pretty he thought a refreshing change from the usual run of Hogwarts girls.

When he got there, sat in the middle of the room was a girl. She was older then him extreamly pretty with long black hair tied up in a ponytail. almond shaped brown eyeswhich crinkled up when she flashed her sweet smile.

"Harry? hey how you ben I havn't seen much of you in ages" asked Cho she got up and walked over to him. Harry backed away and stammered "W,w,what are you doing in here Cho? I came here to think not to talk!"

Cho replied sounding annoyed "Well actually Harry, I was just brought here for no reason so your guess is as good as mine on this one so I guess you might as well have a seat we have stuff to sort out between us"

She settled down on a seat and waited for him to join her, he just sat there staring. Slowly Harry walked over and sat opposite her and asked "So what do we need to sort out between us Cho if my memeory serves me right we have nothing to say or at least I don't"

She looked hurt for a split second, but meerly shrugged and said "Your the one who came here so I guess your the reason I'm here so spill"

He was stunned "I'm not the reason your here I had someone else on my mind and it wasn't you not to be nasty Cho but whatever was between us is done." he replied coldly.

Draco was sat in his bed with the hangings closed in a bid to shut out the world.
He rolled over the image of grey eyes swam into his minds veiw. Da.mn life he thought, he didn't even know her name and she was on his mind.
Groaning he threw his head back on the pillows and started running over his plans in his mind, Tonight would be good no-one is around I'd get away but I can't not with her left here.

He wanted his mytery girl to stay with him, I don't think she'd be stupid enough to fall for dimwitt Potter like half the other girls in this school well at least I hope not.

Should I run away? If I do they could find me if I don't I would be safe I could join Dumbledore and Potter but then what? I'd lose everything my family friends and life what would happen to me.

Exhuasted Draco fell asleep a sheef of moonlight fell through a gap in the moonlight turning the silent tears that had been rolling quietly down his cheeks for the last hour to silver.


Why me? she thought angryily Lisa was sat out by the lake even though she knew she was breaking the rules who cared? it was their fault she was here in the first place. That was the problem with being related to Harry Potter and Albus Dumbledore you had certain things you had to do.

I get hauled in here from Africa just so they can have a spy? Dad was right I should have never agreed. Why did my father have to be brother to Albus Dumbledore and uncle to Harry Potter?

She picked up a piece of parchment and wrote out 3 lines.

she tied it to the leg of her owl and sent it off to draco.

In the Slytherin boy dorm there was a rap at the window Drcao sat up bolt right at being woken so quickly.

What the hell was that? he thought. he looked over to the window sat there on the ledge, was a beatuful deep mahongony owl with large blue eyes.

Tied to it's leg was a note he let the owl in who fluttered on to his bed he took the note from its leg and read it. he gulped and wrote a quick reply.

Why?

He sent the owl back to it's owner.

He wonderd who had sent the owl to him. Who ever it was had a way with words.
it was just how I've been feeling
he thought feeling dazed. He rolled over and fell back to sleep some minutes later. Not knowing the girl, he was dreaming of was thinking of him, or that the same girl was on the mind of one Harry Potter.

Sitting in the Gryffindor common room Harry couldn't get rid of the thought of Lisa.

Shes so pretty all those curls and those beautiful eyes, you could drown in eyes like that. God I'm acting like some love sick fool.

Cursing himself for being such an idiot, he got up and went to his dorm feeling confuesed and annoyed at all of the sudden emotions swirling inside him.

Lisa meanwhile has fallen asleep beside the lake under the stars she is dreaming.


She walked into the Great Hall, the stars were shining over head no-one was in the room except a tall figure with slick blond hair, he turned to look at her, clothed in a black suite he looked amazing more pale then ever his ususally cold grey eyes soft and he was smiling at her.

She looked up at him then down at herself.
Her dress was lose but slim cut it fell to the floor and shimmered in differant shades of silver and ice blue in the dancing flames of the torches in the hall.

"Would you like to dance?" asked a cool measured voice. Blue eyes met grey and she moved towards him "Yes I would love to dance" she replied taking his hand. He pulled her into the circle of his arms as they slowly began to dance to a tuneless song, the silvery notes seemed to resound in her head and echoed off the walls of the hall itself.

As the song ended they slowed she took her head from his shoulder and looked up st him. Her eyes wide and innocent changing colours in the dancing torch light.

He leaned in close and whispered 3 lines into her ear but they struck her soul.

"Love is for fools, hatred is for cowards, power is all that matters" his voice was deadly quietly.

He leaned in again their lips inches apart.

Lisa woke with a start,

What the heck was that about.

She got to her feet gingerly she was aching because where she was sleeping had been hard making her sore all over from sleeping akwardly. She made her way back to her dorm, when she got to the portrait hole the pink ldy was gone feeling angry she summoned hert back went in to be confronted by Ron Weasley.

"Hey who are you? I'm Ron Weasley" asked Ron, he thought she was quite pretty for a 3rd year.

"Lisa Woods I'm new, I'm in the 5th year I take you weren't in Potions then?" she replied.

"No I wasn't I was in the hospital wing I managed to break my hand,but hey nevermind eh?"

"Um yeah sorry to be rude Ron but I'm knackered I'm going to bed nice talking to you though good night" she called half way up the stairs up to the girls dorm.
Turning away she went up to the girls dorm she practicaly fell into bed.

I turned from looking out of the window, how strange the light looked around me. It fell on to the windowsil distorted spinning the pale moonlight into a spetrum of colours that glittered like a diamond catching the light. The room behind me was large and well proportioned, five large mahogany 4 poster beds shod in scarlet velvet hangingings loomed in the shadows.

A tiny candle flame flickered on a bedside cabinet. I got down from the ledge walked oer the the candle and watched the dancing flame.

Entranced I leaned forward. Snapping out of it I pulled back before my cheek was singed the heat of the fire mere inches from the tender skin of my cheek. The door creaked light flooded the darkened room a figure stood in the door way tall and looming.

Draco sat bolt upright, he had seen her in what he thought to be an empty dorm looking out of the window.How pretty she had looked sitting there, the stained glass behind her spinning the moonlight into rainbow fire almost. He never knew he could want someone like this. But why do I want her? Well I know she’s not like even half of the other Gryffindor girls or other girls in this school for that matter. She stood up for herself against me; no other girl here has had the nerve. Then we got talking she seemed amazing not only beautiful but brainy creative to. The kind of girl you want to be with.

Wow what a dream, I can't belive it could it be true. Lisa is here 4 that reason oh god i hope not! and what if she really is my cosion oh my god I'd puke at the fact i fancied her oh my god what do i do ask her?

She got up and closed it and quietly got dressed for school, looking around at the dorm it wasn't much differant from the boys tidier perhapes but it still had the same 5 four poster beds except there was more pinks and stuff with posters and photos of they're fav boy bands and family and stuff. there were a couple of glossy mags bits of make up lying around on the other girls bedside cabinates. Lisa looked at hers, a huge pile of books and work littered her top. Hidden was her diary where it couldn't be found.

She looked over to the poster of the werid sisters they were silently playing a tune. With a wistful sigh she turned away and went down to breakfast.

the great hall was empty a few candles above but she sat on her own eating breakfast until harry came in she got up before he had the chance to talk 2 her.

He caught a glimpse of her back as she rushed off to her next class. the long curls danced and glistened in the afternonn sun. She didn't see the pain on his face as he watched her.
She had no cue he, Ron and Harry had spent the whole night long thinking about her. All 3 waking in their beds, their sheets twisted and wet from cold sweat.

She had no idea she had been causing such a greta stir among many boys in her year. Nor that b!tchy remarks were exchanged out of ear shot.

She yawned as the afternoon sun poured through the window of her Transfiguration class, she lat Professor Mcgonagaual's voice drift over her, her quick quote ultra quill was scribbling down Mcgonagauls words, word for word.

Her mind drifted off to the thought of Draco M

She yawned, as the afternoon sun shine poured into the Transifiguration class she let Mcgonaguls voice drift over, saftely wrapped in thought she fell alseep thinking of draco malfoy.

On the otherside of the room he was sat quietly watching her, Harry was aswell.

Harry drifted in and out of day dream withj the same consistant thought line going through his head. It was sometthing about Lisa he liked he didn't know what it was but she was unique in a werid but quiet way, he couldn't explain it he just liked her.

She was in a room lit by a single candle it was cold, she called out for someone, anyone. Her echos were all that answered her calls.

Draco sat up and tried to pay attention to what Snape was saying but his eyes kept straying over to Lisa.

Why do I have to like her of all bloody people?

Angryily he went back to his dreamless sleeping draught before he got into more trouble for doing no work. Even if Snape favoured him among all the other students in the room he still had to do some if not a small amount of work at least to pass.

after lesson had finished he disappeared off to a dark corner of the grou8nds. all he wanted was peace.

as usual his scar prickled with pain.
he saw a flash of green in his minds eye.

calling out.

he was unconcious before he hit the ground.

"Get him out of here before anybody notices now hurry the dark lord wants this one alive." a cold voice rang out in the foggy darkness of Dracos mind. as he felt himself being lifted off the ground.

He waited.

"Father!" he called into the blackness.

No sound was returned.

Sitting in the cold waiting. Silence is all he could hear. Holding his breath waiting hoping for some kind of noise.
Nothing.

What seemed like years later, a door creaked open.
"Throw her in there with him" a voice called out of the darkness.
Draco woke with a start at these words, as a body was dumped not two feet from him.

Lisa. He recignised her features in the brief second the light caught her face before the door to his cell was shut again.

"What are you doing here? he asked in a whisper, afaraid to talk in case they came back.

It had been weeks since they had gone missing Dumbledore and the order were no closer to finding them then they were voldemort.

In the first few weeks all they did was interoorgate them both asking the same questions over and over.

Until finally they'd given up and had finally drawn to the conclusion they knew nothing about dumbledore or potter.

as more time past they grew more and more uneasy.

"Draco when are we going top get out of here? she ask4ed quietly.

i don't know lisa, we've been here to long all they can do is kill us or make us join them we don't even have our wands anymore they may have been destroyed for all i know shhhh they're coming again.

The haevy wooden door creaked on its hinges in came a tall pale figure.

they panikced who was this?

they had never seen nor heard this man before.

a high pitch laugh came from him pulling down his cloak he called them to him, his eyes burned scarlet.

"well, well well Mr Draco I'm surprised I thought you would be like your father, alas your not. Pity I could of made use of you, but this one this girl ahs somethign I need come child I have palns for you." Voldemort grabbed her arm and pulled her from the cell. Leaving Draco alone again.

what could he want her for? it must be to do with Potter **** him why?
Does he love her or something?

I should have guessed but if thats why. Why am I here.

With nothing but frustration bubbling in him he began to pace, little suspected what they had instore for him.

It was a while before they did anything with him.
A week later he was taken from his cell and thrust into the light with her, why this was happening he didn't know but he knew it wasn't good. He tried to get awayu but after they discovered this they confiscated his wand much to his dismay.

"No I don't know anything! how many times do I have to tell you!
For gosakes find him or I will I mean it Harry, I did nothing I want him bacvk here Stuff it I'm going to Dumbledore to find out whats going on hes been gone to long for it to be anything good" Lisa screamed at the top of her voice in the middle of Harrys dorm. Turning from him she hurried out the door pushing Ron and Dean aside on her decent down thr stairs.

"Whats her problem?" asked Ron after catching sight of Harry who had been stood by the window.

"What happened did you two row or something Honestly man you and girls" he laughed throwing a pillow at Harry, who made his excuses and turned to go out the door while Dean had started his home work.

Meanwhile somewhere on thge otherside of the country Draco was being tortured by the Deatheaters.

"Tell us the truth boy where is she?" the cold voice rang out from behind a mask it was his father.

how many times had he cringed from his scoldings?

"Know where who is? he answered his body still throbbing with pain, it turned out Lisa had managed to esacpe by the skin of her teeth leaving him here alone to deal with the pain on hiws own.

she nervously paced the room thinking she knew he was in trouble hy were they doing nothing to help him why not?

They had thrown in him back into his cell, he could barely move he was in so much pain. His muscles and joints screamed in protest to the slightest twitch. Each pulse of his heart sent a throbbing pain throw his body. They had finally left him alone after endless hours of torture and questioning.

Disgraced Lisa had been dragged back into the Gryffindor common room by Hermione to Where Harry and Ron were waiting.

"Tell us everything Lisa, what happened to you and Malfoy where is he?" Harry asked.

She feel to the floor babbiling nonsense and finally said "Fine I'll tell you everything."



Slowly his body was healing, the pain was receeding bit by bit. he was regaining strength rapidly they had foolishly left him with his wand thinking he couldn't do magic.

Little did he know days later the Order stormed the prision and rescued both of them.

He was lying in the hospital wing slowly healing he started to remember.
Thinking that his captor had come to tourment him again had his wand at the ready. holding it up to the door he waited but when he saw the face of Dumbledore relife flowed throw him like blood.

He'd been back in hogwarts only a few days but at least he was here.

Weeks later Draco Malfoy was up and about again, slowly he story was psreading many parts as is Hogwarts tradition was highly exaggerated or made up. no-one but him and her knew the thruth. He hated the world for what had happen slowly he was starting to respect Harry for all of the pain they have caused him.

For what he once took pride in he now chose to turn his back on and would do what was right.

He started to make his way upto the Heads office he had an appointment to keep.


As he entered the first words he said was to want to join your side"

It was some time after Drcao had made the bold decision to join the Order he had passed all the tests and everything so they were sure he was not a spy.

He was waiting for activity from the darkside but nothing had been heard.

He was being taught new things that no normal student knew, and he was learning more about Harry and that they were slowly becoming allies, the facade of eniemes was becoming harder and harder to maintain.

One afternoon, he stumbled into Harry outside the Great Hall almost with out thinking he nearly helped him up. Gathering his senses he pushed him aside and drawled "Watch it Potter, or I'kk curse your hide" and he stalked. off The guy is ok, I hate to be cruel to him but some one needs to keep this up.

Soon he reached his destination of the common room and he walked off to his dorm, ignoring the fact he had Defence Against The Dark Arts in 15 minutes, he threw himself on his bed and fell asleep.

"Oi Malfoy wake up!" it was Goyle shaking him awake, pushing him aside draco got up growling.

"Never, wake me up like that again. Or you will regret it, now move" he pushed Goyle aside and got out of bed. He started to make his way to the great hall for dinner.

As usual it was nearly full, he located a seat and grabbed some food. He didn't notice what he was eating he was to lost in thought about general stuff going on in hies life and the tattoo that burned an odd thing but it sealed his part of the deal with Dumbledore, he had deactivated it for him and stopped the pain.

though he pain was gone, they hadn't gotten rid of the thing itself he was sick of looking at it.

it was there for good they had told him, he hated it so much.

Soon he finished his meal and got up to leave but someone tapped him on the shoulder, before he knew what was happeneing he was being dragged into the room of requirement.

"Wake him up" called a cold voice.

He came round his body ached his face was already starting to swell, above him stood Crabb and Goyle and a few fellow Slytherine.

He was bound to the wall of their dorm, "Malfoy your "Mater"" announced Crabb the rest sniggered.

"Crucio" Draco hung limplty in his binds.

"Well here he is boys, the great Malfoy who thought he could double cross US." "HA!" they all laughed as the pain seared through his body. He stared at them saying nothing, his eyes like ice a look he would never have given them in the past but that was then this was now.

"Get me down or suffer" he drawled arrogance dripping from every word.

"Your kidding me right Malfoy, you have no wand, no friends no family. We rule you!" the piped up one at a time.

"Whatever" he tossed at them knowing differently.

"Release him then I have an idea for some fun"

He smirked, arrogance was written all over his face they let him down. His wand hand shot up and he screamed a curse multiple times till only Crabb stood, he turned to face him. "Still wanna have fun, I'm game" holding up his hand and showed the flames he was just waiting to throw at him. It was a new wandless spell with great impact. He threw it at Crabb waitinbg for the results.

His robes came a light, scars on his face opened becoming fresh wounds again. He screamed in agony and fell to his knees. Laughing Malfoy bound him using his wand and had him floated out with the rest to Dumbledores office.

The door swung open to revela the study he knew well he dumped them all unconcious on the floor.
