i haven't drawn a good picture since i last had art class in 8th grade (im now in 12th grade). i was bored and i decided to try to draw a random HP character and lily just ended up coming out onto the paper. this is her as a gryffindor student.... im thinking year 6 or 7. ;) and i just realized that she doesnt have eyes that id imagine being on harry (unless he wears fake eyelashes :elaugh: ). oh well hehe.
sorry about the poor quality of the copy. my scanner is 5 years old. and its in black and white cuz i dont know what software is best for colorizing my art, so if u have suggestions, pitch em this way! :agree:
please offer comments/criticism/advice!! i want to know what you think! id love to draw more but im really not sure at all how i managed to produce this sketch  lol. thanks!
(EDIT: im replacing the original attachment with a better one; ahh the wonders of photo editor...)

Hehe she looks cool, ready to "play" if yah know what I mean.
Well here is a link to a tutorial I'm working on at a very slow pace.....(man I suk) that is about scanning and coloring your drawings in Photoshop. Have a look ok. It's over at Portkey.org.

Jenn, I LOVE it! I want to steal it and put it in Marauder Merriment. :p
But really, she looks almost exactly like the way I imagine her! Except maybe the hair not being quite so voluminous. ;)
But I love her expression, and her pose, and pretty much everything. Look forward to seeing more!

Terrific drawing, especially for not having done any for four years! :D She definitely expresses attitude. And I love the eyes! The hair is cool, too.
But since you ask for advice and criticism, here's mine: I think her mouth placement seems a bit odd (though that could simply be your stylistic choice), and her right hand (the one on her hip) seems out of proportion. Clothes could have a little more presence: wrinkles and bulk and such. Good practice would be to have a friend pose for you, and really look at how the clothes behave.
I only mention it since you ask, and it's only my opinion, so feel free to ignore it. :) It's a very cool picture, and I hope you'll be posting some more for us!

Well this won't mean as much because I'm far from a pronounced artist but I thought it looked awesome! Great work morgan :)
