Chapter One - NEVER Open Unmarked Letters
A boy with raven colored hair could be seen pacing around an orange room. His every action proved that he was in a horrible mood. Green eyes almost squinted, arms going back and forth with enough force that it was almost like a fan if you were standing next to him. Suddently the boy, Harry Potter, kicked the wall in pure anger. His two friends, Ron and Hermione, now playing wizards chest on the floor of Ron's room, didn't even react to Harry's kick, they were used to it by now. He was doing it all the time now, bursts of anger, usually resulting in something like the kick that had just happened.
Harry went over to sit on Ron's bed, he looked out the window, and his eyes became distant as he thought about Sirius's death. It was his fault Sirius had died, no one else's. He had gone to the Ministry, lead his friends there to, and Sirius was the one to save him, and die in the process, it was all his fault, it was hard to think about.Sirius - dead, even months after the experience he had still not recovered completely.
Harry transferred his thought to something else.the prophecy. The prophecy or Sirius were the only two things to surface on his minds now. The weight of it feel upon him again, almost dragging him down, the pain of how hard he had to be working, he had to really work at school this year, he had to start getting serious in school. Everyone depended on him, weather they knew it or not. The very idea of him not succeeding was plain scary, no one - ever - would be able to dethrone Voldemort. He had to succeed. That simple, he had to, and he was willing to work to get that good.
The door to the room opened and Ginny Wesley entered the room, her hand clutched around several letters. She sat down on the bed next to Harry, Ron and Hermione looked up expectantly, "Hello." She said cheerily, "You guys might want to open these." And she passed out letters to the appropreate person, they were thick, and had the Hogwarts seal on them, each accepted them with a grim expression on their faces.
"Thanks." Ron said, with no expression, staring at his letter, eyes wide. Hermione scrambled to open her O.W.L. with much enthusiasm. Harry just staired at his glumly, but just as he was beginning to open his Ginny gave him another envelope.
"Don't know what this one is for." She said, pointing to the letter, it had blood-red writing and only said "Harry Potter" on it, written in spidery handwriting. It was clear that something more then a letter was in there, it was lumpy, as if sand was in there.
Though the envelope was eerie, Harry gladly took the chance to postpone opening his O.W.L. results. He roughly tore the opening off; there was no letter inside, but gold dust. Gold dust that hit everyone in the room and four trunks stacked out of the way to the side.
Everything spun, Harry was reminded of the Time Turner, yet this was powerful, a lot more powerful. Way to powerful for everyone. They all blacked out.
******
When they came to they found them selves in the hospital wing of Hogwarts, groggily Harry awoke, nonchalantly he slipped his glasses on and sat up, Harry saw Ron, Hermione, and Ginny still sleeping in their own beds, he was apparently the first awake. Just as he noticed that, Ginny started to stir, "Hello." She said, "How did we get here?"
"That's what I would really like to know." Said McGonigal, stern as ever yet looking several years younger. "We found all four of you on the Hogwarts grounds, brought you here, and we would like to know who you are."
