Cho's 5th Year.

Chapter One-

Cedric. That's all she can think about. Cho Chang's life was, at the moment, a living hell. She lost her boyfriend, Cedric Diggory, she failed her OWL's, causing her to have to repeat her 5th year, and to make matters worse, she was thrown off the Ravenclaw Quidditch team. Cho's eyes were red from crying her eyes out at Cedric's funeral. She was unable to look Mr. and Mrs. Diggory in the eyes the whole time.

Cho was sitting on her bed, looking at a picture of Cedric and herself in Hogsmeade at the beginning of the year. She hugged the picture close to her and cried some more. This wasn't typical of Cho to act this way, just crying her eyes out. Cho's eagle owl, Taurus, named after her zodiac sign, flew through the window at this moment with a letter. "What's this, Taurus?" Cho asked. She took the letter Taurus offered her and opened it.

Cho-
How have you been? Do you wanna meet in Diagon Alley to hang out? C.C., I am so sorry. I'm sure this is the last thing you want to see right now, but I sent a picture along with this letter of you, me and Ced. It's from the Yule Ball. Anyways, Taurus was flying around here and Virgo was busy, so I sent this. (duh!!) Please write to me soon.
Luv ya
Stacie

Cho smiled as she looked at the picture. Stacie Davis was one of her best friends. Cho stroked Taurus' feathers. She chirped happily. Cho went to her desk to get a piece of parchment. When she got to the desk chair, she sat down and began writing:

Hey, Stace-
Thanks for the picture. Sure, I'll meet you in Diagon Alley. Is the front of the bookstore okay?? Give Virgo a kiss for me. See ya!!
Cho

Cho beckoned Taurus to her desk. She willfully flew across the room. Cho tied the lettter to Taurus' claw. Taurus took off into the moonlight. Cho crossed the room to turn on her CD player. (She's Muggleborn, by the way. hehe) As she listened to Simple Plan, Cho's thoughts wandered to Harry Potter. He had been the one to see Cedric die. She wondered how that had affected his summer.

Another thought that had entered her thoughts were her fellow Ravenclaws. Cho knew that Stacie would never treat her diffrently. Stacie and Cho were supposed to be in the same year, but Cho had to repeat the 5th year. Cho had taken to sketching to hide her emotions. She would be taking her sketchbook with her to Hogwarts. Just then, Taurus came back. That was quick., Cho thought.

Hey back-
Sure, the front of Flourish and Blotts sounds perfect. See you around 10?? See you then!
Stace.

Cho laughed out loud. Stacie would definetley agree to meet Cho in front of the bookstore. She was a major bookworm. Smiling and saying good night to Taurus, Cho got into her pajamas and went to sleep.

Chapter Two-

Cho woke early the next morning to get ready to go meet Stacie in Diagon Alley. She took a shower and got on some robes she used for only when she went out. As she got ready, Cho's thoughts returned to Harry Potter. She had thought of him last night as well. She again wondered what he was doing and how the events of last year had affected his summer.

After Cho finished getting ready, she went downstairs for breakfast. Her parents were making pancakes. Cho helped her mother cook them as her father was feeding Cho's baby sister, Angel. Angel was only 2, but Cho knew that she would be attending Hogwarts once she turned 11. After Cho finished her breakfast, she went to the Leaky Cauldron, which led into Diagon Alley.

Cho walked through the brick wall which led to the Alley. Cho went to Flourish and Blotts, where Stacie was waiting for her. Stacie was wearing baby blue robes and her usual Converse sneakers. Cho ran towards Stacie, happy to see her best friend. "Hey, girl." Stacie said. She took Cho's arm into hers and they went into the bookstore. Stacie commented in a soft voice, "It's gonna be strange not going into the 6th year with you." Cho replied, "Well, I failed my OWL's, and I got kicked off the Quidditch team." Stacie said, "You what?" Cho nodded. "Roger owled me and told me." Stacie said, "Maybe he was joking." Cho shook her head. "You're lucky Dumbledore didn't ban you from Hogsmeade." Cho giggled.

Stacie got her books and her and Cho went to the Quill shop. Cho bought a new sketchbook. Cho saw Draco Malfoy there, too. She nudged Stacie. "OW!" she yelled. "What's up?" Cho pointed near Draco's direction. "What's this? Crushing on lowerclassmen already?" Stacie smirked. "I'm sorry if I think he's a hottie." Stacie said, "Hmm... I agree. He's cute...for a 5th year." Cho and Stacie shared a giggle. Draco looked for the source of the giggles. Stacie looked at him, waved seductively, and blew a kiss in his direction. Draco blushed and left the store. "Thanks, Stace! Now you scared him off." Cho said as they left the store, arm in arm. "Girl, he blushed. That's so hot!!" Cho giggled.

Cho went back home a few hours after that. She put her sketchbook and new quills in her school trunk. She and Stacie would be hanging out again tomorrow. Cho looked at her old sketchbook. She never drew people, just plants and stuff on the grounds of Hogwarts. She began drawing for therapy after Cedric's death. She had gone to a Muggle psychatrist and she had told Cho that sketching would ease the depression and therefore, Cho would be more happy. Cho sighed heavily and laid down to sleep.
