If you were told that there was a wizard world, what would you think? Would you have no doubt in your mind or would there be doubt?

You mean if some random person came up to me and told me there was a wizarding world? Of course I wouldn't believe them. I'm not going to believe it just because someone tells me it's true.

I would probably laugh at them...and then if i knew them i would make fun of them all the time...and get some kid and draw a lightning bolt across his head and run around them screaming "Look, its real! Its real!"...and then feel really stupid and horrible if they were tellin the truth.

Yes but what if you got a letter? What would you think then? Not someone coming up to you, but (now) instead a letter delivered from an owl.

It's interesting. When Hagrid came to Harry and told him that he is a wizard and about wizarding world, he convinced him quite quickly.

If I was Harry there would definetly be doubt. I wouldn't belive him.

Believe them? Heck, I'm still waiting for my owl from Hogwarts  I keep telling myself it's just got lost...

LOL, seriously, though...depends who it was who told me. If it was a complete stranger, I'd laugh. But if it was someone I could trust...who knows? ;)

LOL Slythy xx

Yes but his Aunt and Uncle Dursley confirmed it and Harry Knew they didn't like wizards ect. so he knew it must be true.

From an owl? Well, having read the Harry Potter books, I'd be a little suspicious. But I could never believe something like that, it just breaks the known laws of physics. I'd just tell myself that it just can't be true.

I'd laugh at someone if they told me there's a wizarding world, then I'd probably give them a wedgie for wasting my time :D

If someone came up to me and told me there was a magical world? I'd laugh and walk away. And if they were persistent - really persistent, I mean - I'd get the guy put in an asylum.

I'm fairly gullible and open minded, so I'd probably say "You're crazy" but still be wondering if it's true or not.

I'd stare for a few seconds and say, "good for you, sir", then walk away....... fast! :p

I do believe that magic exists, but not the sort of magic in Harry Potter books, and definitely not a hidden "magical world".

If someone actually told me that the wizarding world exists, and I didn't know them, I'd probably think they were crazy.

If an owl delivered me a Hogwarts letter... I think I'd be a weeeeeee bit freaked out. And I'd probably look like this guy :wow:. I don't think Hogwarts would accept me, cause I live in America...

I'd be dubious but if the person was trustworthy I'd believe them. In that case I'd be quite pleased.

If someone came up to me and told me that there was a wizarding world, I would tell them that they were insane, but inside I'd probably be longing to believe it was true. If I got a letter I would jump for joy and scream and then check to see if the letter was a fake :D.

If it were a person, I'd goggle at them for a couple seconds, then just nod and walk away.... If they chased me, I'd run. If they were persistent, I'd run faster!

If it were a letter, I'd still not be quick to believe. Really, even with the Dursley's backing up the story, I'd still be reluctant to believe.

If it was just a person on the street, I'd laugh and walk away. If I got letters streaming through my window and owls flooding the streets, I might look into it... :P

i hate to think what my parents would say if hundreds of letters came flying in all the windows...and owl poop all over the roof...something tells me they wouldnt be very happy about it...

I would not believe them until they show me that it really exicts. I do not believe everything I hear because people spread rumer. I would not believe anything as far fetched as this and even if they did show me I would thought it was a dream unless I see it everyday.

I think I'd be like okay buddy were have you been, but then I geuss its kind of random for a person to come bluntly out of nowhere and be like I know of a wiziarding world, so I dont know, there might be a little incy wincy doubt, or would there be? hmmm... :scared: , I know of a wizarding world shhhh..

I wouldn't believe, unless the person took up a wand and started turning stones into lollipops or something like it. Especially now after the Harry Potter books. Anyone could just copy that idea, you know. If the Harry Potter books hadn't come out, there would probably be a lot fewer people who could think of a story like that.

Harry probably believed because of too things; firstly, strange and unexplainable things had happened to him in the past and secondly, he was desperate to get away from the Dursleys, and grabbed the first escape route there was.
But since my life doesn't fill any of those criterias, I don't think I'd believe without some solid proof.

Also because Aunt Petunia was talking about how her sister was a witch etc. And Harry probably knew she wouldn't lie about something like that. (also because a bazillion letters came to his house)

Firstly I'd think that they were a bit odd or a Wicca prattling on about 'Real magick' (not that there's anything wrong with Wiccas, it just bugs me when certain members of their practise condescend to Harry Potter fans as though we're going to 'Ooh' and 'Ahh' at them like impressionable twits).

Upon being given evidence, I'd believe it and be mostly indifferent. There are stranger things than magic.

I agree. Harry must've known that he was different, because he managed to end up on the school roof when bullies were chasing him, and he freed that snake (who had never been to Brazil)

If I, like Harry, had always been able to do starnge stuff when I was younger then I would probably believe it if i got the letter from Hogwarts. But if I had lived a completely normal life, and then got the letter, I would probably think it was a practical joke or something.

Hmm.... I would seriously need proof. But if they managed to prove it I'd cry- "Oh, no, Joe-Homicide's real!"

My friend says, "I'd be like, 'Nuh-uh!'"

It depends of who told it to me... but if I get an owl I'd definitely believe it... :D

In fact, I wish it existed, I don't lose my hope of geting my letter from Hogwarts one day :P

Then heres another question (adding to the first) do you think you're "different" (not Mrs. Padfoot thats for everyone :p)

Well, looks like someone's already beat me to it--I was going to explain that it's not so hard to believe when you're always doing unexplainable things without knowing how, and a giant brings you the news.
Actually, when I read Fantastic Beasts the first time, I remember saying out loud to whoever was with me, "Wow, if this wasn't fiction, it sure would explain a lot." The brown patches in your lawn, just about everything. In many ways, fantasy has always made more sense to me.

Well if someone I'd known and trusted for a long time said it to me, I'd believe it, or if the person would actually give an unquestionably genuine demonstration of magic, I'd probably believe it too. But if some stranger just told me, or even if I got an owl, I don't think I would. There would probably remain a slight questioning in the back of my mind if it was real, but I wouldn't believe it wholeheartedly.

I would have no doubt if some one told me. I already suspect that there is another world other than the one that I exsist in. It seems impossible (to me) that there only be one realm. There's got to be more to this world...

Probably no, I would not believe there was a secret society for wizards.
Now If someone came up to me and told me magic was real then I would believe that.

There are stranger things than magic.
My thoughts exactly. Most magic could have a very reasonable explanation that is way more believable then most of the scientific theories I have herd.

As for the comment on it breaking the laws of physics. They are man made and are probably wrong. We just havent proved them wrong yet. Magic wouldnt break any laws of physics. All the laws explain how things react to something else. So just like how magnets can levitate because of the magnetic force, objects can levitate due to the magic force. New equations would be made to calculate how objects would react to this "magical force". As for transfigurations, we basically do something similar when we melt things with heat.

There's got to be more to this world...
I hope so. So far everything is very boring. I dont know how I am going to stand a good 50+ years in this boring world.

OH WOW! IF someone came up to me and said that, I would probably go along with it, and say something to throw them off like, "Yeah I know! I'm on my way to by a few potion supplies, wanna join me?" Lol, that would be funny! Or, I dunno, if they came up to your house just go back inside, pull out a broom and be like, "Wanna go for a ride? I have an extra broom if you need it!" Lol, I am cracking my self up. Anywayz, as for something like that ever coming true, YEAH RIGHT!

I would believe it because i would think its probably evolution or something of that effect because if the our bodies dont tranform into something else then most likely it would be the intelligence that would increase. Then i would think that magic would exist.

I would believe it. In fact, I do believe it. The problem is finding it...
I was once told in a recuring dream (seriously), but then I was feverous with the flu and after reading many HP books, I think my dreams may have been affected...or were they...?

If a stranger told me - I would think they wanted to kidnap me, so I would run away as fast as possible.
If a friend told me - I'd think that they have finally cracked. After all, all my friends love or at lest like Harry Potter as well.
