Well, my all-time favorite band in the world is Switchfoot (http://www.switchfoot.com). Their lyrics are filled with questions and longing and meaning. I have met the guys and they are awesome. Any other Switchfoot fans out there?

Yeah I like switchfoot. They came down here and played at Harvest which was pretty cool. That's the first time I heard them but they were heaps good.

The link isn't working. I agree that the words of their songs convey such meaningful words. My fave song is "Only Hope." I like their version better than Mandy Moore's.

And actually I haven't heard Mandy Moore's version for a while, but the song was written by Switchfoot, so I think it makes sense that their version would be better. :cool:

Anyway I like Dare you to Move that's a heaps good song.

There a christian band which is part the reason I like them and is why so many of their songs are about life and questions in life.

Yes, the band has fielded many questions from concerned fans about if they are "still a Christian band." Jon has addressed this question on the Switchfoot discussion boards (http://forums.sonymusic.com/index.jsp?cat=22). Bottom line is, they are Christian guys in a band, but their music is for everyone. :)

Switchfoot, YESYES. Usually, I can't find many songs I like from the same artist. I mainly pick a few from one and a couple from another. But this particular group makes a loud exception. Twenty-Four, This Is Your Life, Dare You to Move, Only Hope, On Fire, all tingle me.

I think it was this thread had a hand in my obsession.

Live performances really aren't what matters in a band, it's their music...that's the point of a band. I LOVE switchfoot tremendously, because their music is completely awesome, (I've got their latest CD, the Beautiful Letdown), and I love just about all the songs on that CD. It's hard to find a band these days where you love every single song on their album. The other reason I love them, they're a christian band, and their songs may not all sound like religious songs, but yes, all their songs DO hold religious value....and they just really help me in my faith...I love them! *snuggles switchfoot*

I really like Switchfoot. I thought Christian music would be really bad, (I think I'm influenced my my church too much) but it's not. "Meant to Live" is their best song.

Yeah...that's the problem. People assume all christian music is like old hyms or something...but it's not. Why? Because there IS no such thing as christian music, only christian lyrics. The music can be just the same as secular band, but the message is different, that's all. Frankly, christian music I find is more beneficial on the soul and the mind than a lot of secular bands...but anyway...I keep blabbing, sorry n.n;;

I really like Switchfoot. Dare You to Move was the best thing about A Walk to Remember. Watching that movie was the first time I had ever heard them, they're played here on the radio a lot now though...

don't download...buy their CD. They're amazing...so I figured my money would be well-spent, and it was. "The Beautiful Letdown" is the CD with "Meant to Live" and "Dare you to Move" on it. All the other songs are excellent as well. So yeah, go get their CD...you can find them in almost any music store. Or off of amazon.

Switchfoot is AWESOME! My friend got me their cd for my birthday and that's like all I have been listening to for the past week and a half. That's definately saying something good abou their music, if you can listen to them for a week and a half and not get tired of it, they are definately doing something right!

I'm like sorta obsessed with Switchfoot. I love their song Dare You To Move and You Already Take Me There. They're kinda {VERY} religious group. My friends friends went to a concert and after the show they actually sat with the audience and talked about God and other Christian things. I wouldn't really know, I'm kinda non-religious. But I go to prayer meetings at school and.... oh yeah. Back to Switchfoot.

Another song of theirs I really like is 'Dare you to Move'. It's wicked.

Well, their newest single is Dare You To Move. They just released a new video for it. It's all right; I liked the old one better. The new one isn't up online yet except for downloading (ask me if you're a crazy SF fan like me, and want the link ^_~), but you can find the other one at launch.yahoo.com. I believe their next single is going to be "This Is Your Life".

I love switchfoot. :p They have some really insightful lyrics. I like that they are a Christian band...most people don't know that fact...But they are on Sparrow Records which is a christian record label, but enough about that. I think that they are awesome. If anyone has any preconceiced notions that Christian music is all hymn and gospel then that's totally wrong. Check out bands like Skillet, Thousand Foot Krutch, Kutless etc. There aer more hard core bands but I'm not really into the heavy metal but just rock. But all the same there are christian bands that have the same sound as secualar bands but just more uplifting lyrics.

I've seen them a few times live at Greenbelt (festival in England). They're quite good. Not my favourite band ever but I do own one of their albums. I like Dare you to Move and Learning to Breathe.

They came to our state fair this September for a concert- I remember mostly EVERYONE I knew went and had a blast. I had no idea who they were at the time, but some of their songs are cool, like "Dare You To Move" and "Meant To Live"

Switchfoot Rocks! They came to my school's homecoming last year, it was so cool. Ther new album is good, but I really like the classics, especially to 'Learning to Breathe" album. Just good music.
