[I did a search, couldn't find a thread like this, so here goes]

Anyone out there that likes Maroon 5? I haven't got their CD yet, but I really like their style of music. Not to mention, they rock.

I have their CD and I like their music very much. Especially The Sun and Sunday Morning are great songs.

I think I should mark the occasion. I very rarely see/hear anything I like on MTV these days, but I think 'Harder to Breathe(?)' sounds quite good. It's the only song I've heard from them.

They have been around for awhile...they used to be called Kara's Flowers. I think that it is about time that they get the recognition that they have strived for.

A very good band. MTV doesn't quite do them justice--they're somewhat jazzier on their CD. All in all, it's a very good sound they've got for themselves. Most people are just familiar with Harder to Breathe and This Love because of their countdown stays. I say, check out the whole CD. It's actually worth it.

I like 'Harder to Breathe', I don't love it. But if MTV genuinely doesn't do them justice, maybe I should check out the CD. The particular song didn't impress me that much though, even though it was a lot better than the other stuff that's on MTV. I wonder where I could test-listen to the album, as I don't really like the idea of MP3s .

You can listen to 5 of their songs on their website... I believe it was www.maroon5.com (http://www.maroon5.com) They give you a better idea of their music.

OMG YAY, thread for Maroon 5. i love them so much, they are a great band. I love The Sun and Sweetest Goodbye from Songs about Jane. I have just got into this music kinda, and apart from No Doubt they are my favourite band, i tried to get tickets but the gigs near me were all sold out. has anyone actually been to one of their gigs and if so what was it like?

I love Maroon 5, the lead singer doesn't look like that voice would come out of his mouth, for some reason. I love that song, "...she said good bye too many times before...", I can't remmember what it's called, but I like it! Eventhough it is a bit played out now, thats still cool though! Did any of you see them on MTV, on that show where the girl goes through the guys room and chooses the person she wants to date by their room style. That was pretty funny, i'm glad she chose the newest of them all!

My friend in Melbourne told me that Maroon 5 was coming down to Australia sometime soon, but I haven't heard anything... I don't know.

I think this thread pretty much has me convinced that I'll be getting their CD next time I get to the music shop!

Well, I confess that the only song of theirs that I've heard is This Love, and I don't mind it at all. It's very catchy. Being unfamiliar with the band when I first heard it, I thought they were some innocently cute, wannabe-rocker boy band. You can imagine my surprise when I saw the music video for the first time; I was somewhat taken aback, needless to say, and forced to reckon with the fact that there may be something a bit more mature behind their music. :scared:

I think they're an extremely good band :) The first time I put their CD on, I could listen to it straight through without getting bored or getting up to skip tracks once. I dont know that much about them, but they get a big cheer from me :)

I've only listened to "This Love" all the way through, and I like it. My friend has the CD, I should borrow it and listen to the rest of the songs.

OMG Songs about jane is such a great album. My favourite song is Sweetest Goodbye, it is so great. To all you people who read this thread and you like the sound of Maroon 5 go out and bye the album because it is so great!

I was thinking about buying 'Songs about Jane' but I've just bought some CDs and didn't want to spend any more money at the moment. I really like Harder to Breathe + This Love though so I probably will get it.

Ah, I love Maroon 5. I've liked This Love since I first heard it, and I think Harder to Breathe is okay, but I heard their other songs on the link GBBY posted (thanks for that!) and I just love it. My favorite by far is Sunday Morning; I can listen to it tons of times without getting bored :D. I'm definitely going to buy their CD next time I go to Best Buy!

Even though 'This Love' is really overplayed, I still love their music. The lead singer is especially hot. They were on MTV's special Sprink Break addition of Room Raiders, it was awesome.

I'm really glad Maroon 5 is finally starting to get some play. I've been a fan of theirs for about 2 years, since I saw them open for John Mayer a few years back. Songs about Jane is a totally amazing album. I have friends who don't even like rock music, but love Maroon 5.

Maroon 5 are brilliant! I love them, especially 'this love.' The lead singer sounds a bit like Will Young.

Shiver
Not coming home

Songs about Jane is a wonderful album and "THis love" is my favourite song this year hands down! I know that they've been around quite awhile and I agree with Emma that its high time they're getting the attention and praise that they're getting now :)

All the songs are fab, I really like tangled :)

i love the whole 'songs about jane' album. Which is quite unusual bacause i normally only like one or two songs on an album.

The few I have heard of this band...and I didn't like it at all...I'm not too excited to listen more to find out if I would like them. It sounded to me too much bubble-gum music, and I don't like that type of mainstreams I'm afraid...well, that's my opinion.

I absolutely love Maroon 5. I can listen to their CD over and over again all the way through with out getting sick of it. Songs About Jane was I listened to during the 2 weeks I was in Paris. All of the songs are amazing and awesome. I espcially love Sunday Morning, The Sun, and Secret.

Can you say, biggest guilty pleasure ever!! I really like to listen to this band; they have such a mellow and easy sound. It's a nice break from some of the harder bands I like to listent to. Strangely enough, I never thought I like so many songs about....err....love-making.

I just bought their latest cd yesterday after having owned the "She will be Loved" single for some time I thought it was time to graduate to the full cd. I haven't had time to listen to it. But if any of there songs are as good as She Will Be Loved then I will be happy.

Personally I don't like them. The lead singer has a really high, unnatural voice that sounds heavily synthesized, the guitars are pretty weak, and the drums are practically non-exsistent. But hey, that's just what I think - I have nothing against people who like them. Whatever floats your boat.

I like She Will Be Loved, and found Harder To Breathe okay, but I absolutely despise This Love. I don't know why, I just hate it, and it's not just because it's been way overplayed. I wouldn't buy their album, but I would like to borrow it some time, just to hear what their other songs are like.

I love "Songs About Jane".

I especially love the fact that the lyrics deal with sex in a very mature way. and the sexual innuendo is very well done.

And the over all style is very unique as well. Kind of Bluesy - soul - rock - funk.

My band has drawn comparisons to maroon 5.

I love Maroon 5 :D They're probably my favourite band at the moment. There's just something about their style of music (don't ask me what it is, I'm no good at distinguishing between different kinds of music  ) that makes them stand out from the rest of the stuff in the charts :)

I heard a rumor that one of the bro's from Hanson is in it... is that true?

Yeah Have i mentioned HOW MUCH I LOVE THEM! anyway what was i saying oh yeah
It kinda annoys me that radio has overplayed all their singles i mean i still love them but c'mon!!!
Yeah i think that that person may have the wrong band with the swearing but i guess a lot of their songs are about one particular thing *cough* cough* but i love the approach they have to it and that the lyrics they use aren't all "oo baby i love lalalal yeah yeah yeah yeah " and mindless stuff i like the fact ohh what i am i saying im tired......

Maroon 5 rock!

I haven't got any of their CDs but I really like the songs "Harder to Breathe," "This Love," and "She Will Be Loved." :D :D I'm not really 'in love' with the band, but I still think they are really great.

My friend said that she once watched a Room Raiders issue where the gal got to raid Maroon 5's rooms! She didn't know who's rooms she was raiding though, but she picked the guitarist's room and got to go out with him. Lucky stiff.
