GUIDELINES FOR POSTING
The Spirit Division is not a debate forum. This is an area where members can ask questions of a religious or social nature-- questions of life and its meanings, religions and religious experience.
Sometimes, debate can be harmful to what someone is exploring. They might prefer to have some answers rather than a three-page debate. At the Spirit Division, discussion is encouraged, but pointed debate will not be allowed, and those kinds of posts may be deleted. Members are encouraged to respect everyone's religious views and practices. This is a place to learn from one another!
The leaders of this forum will be HogwartsChaplain and Sherlock Holmes, who can provide general information about the religiously-based questions that you may have, in particular Christianity. Evelyn (HogwartsChaplain) is a Lutheran pastor. Both moderators have access to resources about a variety of Christian denominations, as well as other religions. They will try to answer your questions, either publicly or privately.
There will also be other members, including myself, who will provide feedback and responses to other areas of concern or interest, so do not feel restricted to asking only religious questions.
Summary:
This is not a debate forum.
Questions can be about anything religious, ethical, scientific or otherwise.
Please be as specific as you can. A question asking: "Why Are We Here?" is too broad to answer. :)
Please give leaders time to answer. We will try to answer your questions within 24 hours of posting, but it may not always be possible.
Remember the Forum Rules when posting.
CoS Forums Disclaimer applies here. All questions and responses are the responsibility of the member and not CoS Forums unless otherwise stated.
If you have any questions, please PM either the Spirit Division moderators or myself.
Thanks.
