"Troll....in the dungeon.....thought you ought to know...." by Quirrel in Philosopher's stone just cracks me up every time I hear it...might have something to do with the way he falls flat on his face (that's gotta hurt). His voice is so girlishly high-pitched too...

Snape's whole "bottle fame, brew glory...even put a stopper in death" is brilliant...perfect acting by the delicious Alan Rickman and the delivery was perfect.

Almost anything that Lucius Malfoy said in the Chamber of Secrets is worth mentioning because of the way Jason Isaacs presents himself but in particular I like his "You call this a house?" and then the derisive snort of laughter afterwards that he gives Hagrid when he visits his home.

Draco's "I didn't know you could read" one liner is brilliant too.

From the books it would have to be Snape's reaction to Hermione's overgrown teeth...

PS... Ron says that Hermione needs to sort out her priorities, and when waiting to be sorted when he says she's mental, and in the scene where Hermione freezes Neville and Ron replies that she's scary, brilliant but scary. And the scene where Ron is going to show Harry the spell to turn his rat yellow, I just thought it was so cute/innocent in the way Harry says Ya.

CoS... Filch says My we are in trouble, and the bit between Draco & Harry...Scared Potter, you wish. And when Moaning Myrtle tells Harry that if he dies down there, he is welcome to share her toilet.

PoA...Absolute favorite two quotes out of all 3 films...first one is when Vernon says that Harry isn't allowed to do magic outside of school, and Harry responds with a smart "try me". Loved that. Second one is when they're on the train and Harry says he's lucky not to have been arrested actually. Also loved that. Showed a lot of character and Daniel Radcliffe pulled off those lines very well. Also liked the bit between Snape & Harry at night in the hallway when Snape asks Harry to read the parchment. Hmmm...guess I like it when Harry has a bit of an attitude. Also liked the line Dumbledore says when he sees Harry & Hermione returning from their time turner mission...Did what? Goodnight. Also liked the part about the beatings at St. Brutus.

Oh...and just about anything Lockhart says. He just cracks me up...it's just like magic! He was portrayed perfectly.

And of course Snape's grand entrance in the first film...no foolish wandwaving or silly incantations.

I also like the part in CoS when Harry & Ron come out of the forest and Ron says something like...if Hagrid ever gets out of Azkaban, I'll kill him. The way he says it cracks me up.

In PoA, I also like the part where Harry tells Vernon "try me" when Vernon says he's not allowed to do magic outside of school. And the part on the train when Harry says (about blowing up his aunt) that he was lucky not to be arrested, actually. And the part where he and Snape meet in the hallway and Harry reads the maurader's map to Snape. His expression in each of these moments is spot on.

I loved the conversation Harry and Ron had in PoA:

"The spiders! They want me to tap dance!"
"You tell those spiders, Ron!"
"Yeah, yeah I'll tell them." (Ron falls back asleep)


I also like in SS when Quirrel runs in and screams:

"Troll! Troll in the dungeon. Thought you ought to know." (Quirrel faints)


Also in PoA, by Wormtail:

I just loved the way he dragged it out and flapped his hands. :P

Admittedly, I haven't read through everyone's favourite quotes, but I have read through quite a few and am I the only person who loved the way Ron said "That was b****y brilliant" when McGonnagal transfigures from a cat the first time they go to her classroom??

I also loved the delivery of " There will be no foolish wand-waving or silly incantations in this class." by Alan Rickman - perfectly Snape!

The scene where Harry and Hermione come back and see Dumbledore leaving the Hospital Wing after they've finished Time-Traveling and saving Sirius and Bucky. Hermione say's something like "We've done it Professor Dumbledore!" and he responds in "Done what? Good Night..." Hysterical!

i tink most of the lines people are putting are my favorites too. I dont really like lines as much as sences. and even though Poa is low on the liost of my favorite Harry Potter books it is my favorite movie so i like when Hermione punches Malfoy adn she says "That felt good" and Ron goes " not good. briliant" I also like in ss when Harry adn Ron are late for transfiguration and McGonagall turns back into a humman and Ron says " That was bloddy brilliant"Take care
