CHARACTERS: Cho ...?

My first earnest PC colouring (it's a hell of work, and now I know why I have always avoided working with the PC ...!) and as well the first posting I do here in this forum. I've never been at an English one before, but I hope I'll get along with it and its members and will try to do my best as for my English knowledge.

This should be the Cho Chang of my idea. What you nearly can't see is the "R" in the background I originally tried to arrange, standing for Ravenclaw, but forgot about my sorrow with this stupid Corel Draw, so that it's not clear anymore.
I'd be glad about some comments on the picture, knowing that you could call it a tiny catastrohpe ...

Do you believe? I really don't think so. It might even look a bit cheap, because I see a BIG difference from all the PC colourings *I* know and admire. You just can see that I'm not quite introduced in proceeding with such programmes.

It is a different style from most PC drawings that I have seen, whih is not a bad thing. A good combination of clear outlines and subtle shading and highlights-I like it.

Your drawing is lovely!! it's really good, seriously, I also like drawing, and I can tell you that you have done a good job. Maybe I will be able to post my own drawings when the ***** scaner works (well, probably it DO work, the problem is mine... I have never been good at computers...)
Oh, I don't usually speak english, so I will be very happy if someone answered my question... In some forums I have seen ppl who say "LoL" and I don't know what it means...

@Inkwolf: Haha, your German-knowlegde is pretty cool! But it's "Willkommen im/in", I think, can't be bad, if you know it now.

@Antonia: I hate the background.

@Lavender*Quill: Momentarily it's hard for me to do any drawings, I don't know why, but it sucks. But there is one more picture I drawed some time before, and in a minute I'll have taken it online.

@ManwA: Don't be worry, my scanners are generally spoiled wracks! Hmm, *lol* is an acronym you use while chatting to spare typework and means "laughing out loud". If you ask me, it sounds silly and gets on one's nervs, if you constantly use these.

Amazing! It's a very different style from your Fleur picture, but both of them have a delicate touch, intricate detail, and sheer, stunning beauty!

I can't draw very well (I can draw some things but not others, and I only did one picture of a person that looked properly right and that was when I was 9 or 10 and I spoiled it after trying to make it a template) but I'm quite artsy (only I'm a total perfectionist so I rarely indulge myself) and I know that I always spot the tiny things I don't like, that nobody else notices.

I, personally, reckon the background works. It's mysterious. It sets off the detail really well, but if I were you I'd ask myself these sorts of questions (you probably already do, and you're tons better than me so I feel silly saying this, but... it does sound like the fact it looks different to how you wanted it to is really getting to you so...):

1) What exactly is it about the background that you don't like?

2) Why did this happen?

3) What could you do to stop it from happening?

Then, next time, hopefully you'll like your background as much as everyone else does!

You did say that you haven't used the package much before - as you adjust to it, chances are you'll get happier with your results anyways! Don't stop - you're amazing!
