Hey everyone! I just wanted to let every body know about the Harry Potter RPG myself and a couple of friends have set up. Though we haven't posted the complete story (we're still writing it up), it is basically set in the Trio's 6th year; Voldemort is on the rise, and Lucius and a few other Death Eaters have escaped Azkaban.

We're really in desperate need of characters, because we would like to begin game play on November 29th.

I hope you know you have a TON I mean TON of rules on how to post and stuff. Maybe you can change that and you might get more members.

Well, I've had other RP's... Maybe 3 or 4 before, and I've learned a lot from that. We're pretty loosy goosy mostly; as long as people are trying hard, we don't really enforce the 3 sentence rule much. It only really comes in handy when we noticed post wars going on.

We enforce the writing style and grammar stuff because we get a TON of complaints about bad writers and the whatnot if we don't, so...

Anyhoo, my experience has been, despite the rules, everyone still had a lot of fun. We try to be really nice and lienient, so there isn't really much to worry about.

I'm definitely joining... the only thing I do not like about it is the "First Character" point of view. I uaually roleplay as third character, but i guess i can work with it- i plan to have to characters, one named after me, Chloe, and maybe i would like to do Pansy Parkinson.

I'll join up, but I too am working on a graphic HP MMORPG (not text based). I was wondering if you wanted to merge, i can send you the programs needed for it, and make you and your friends admins so you can edit the game, I need a lot of help with it.

I would love to merge, but I'm in college right now so I don't really have the time to tinker with a graphic based program that I have absolutely no idea how to design or run.

It really sounds groovy, but I still don't have enough time to think up all the complicated things. Not to mention I'm not quite sure how to think up quests and maps and whatnot. :-/

Here is the updated story for my RP. Hopefully, it will intrigue you all!

The year is 1997, and the wizarding world is in a state of unrest. While Harry and the gang are entering their 6th year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Lord Voldemort is rising in power. The Dementors have abandoned Azkaban prison in favor of joining the Dark Lord; and by his bidding, are slowly and elusively kidnapping muggle and muggleborn children under 10 years old all over Europe. At the same time, Lucius Malfoy has escaped Azkaban and, with the combined powers of Voldemort, has created a new form of the Polyjuice Potion – untraceable, undetectable, and longer lasting. In the dark of the night, Lucius and the Dementors kidnapped Minerva McGonagall. Now, Lucius is masquerading around the school and Order headquarters as the strict, matronly Deputy Headmistress.

Fear abounds in the wizarding community. No one is safe. Every moment is lived in trepidation; watching... waiting… wondering - who's next? Under Dumbledore's watchful eye, Hogwarts is the safest place to be, but under the circumstances, the safest place to be is still a potential battle zone for the inevitable fulfillment of the prophecy. A spy within Hogwarts, a spy within the Order; will any plan wrought bring down He-Who-Must-Be-Named? With the discovery of the Light side's spy, the scale seems to be tipping in the wrong direction. Will the dark side prevail? Assumptions run wild as children go missing, but no one knows Voldemort's true intentions.

We really need more people! I shall love you all forever if you come and plaaaaaaaay!
